  1. You're lucky. I didn't get the welcome clip XD
  2. Dunder smiled and nodded, "Yep. I'll see you around here." He said. He felt like he should give her a hug, but he didn't...yet. "Remember to drop by sometime and we'll talk again, yeah?" He asked. He didn't want to say good-bye, but he needed to go back to work.
  3. Dunder stood there in shocked. He hadn't expected her to act like this. If anything, he thought, she should have reacted with anger. Although it was better for him that she didn't. He stood on all fours and put a hoof on her shoulder, "Your music was better than anything I could make. And your music is way different than Vinyl's." He said. The music had almost been like hoofs on a chalkboard, but he wasn't going to tell her that. He also couldn't see how she expected to make new music with such vinyl Scratch influenced music.
  4. "Just to let you know, I'd rather you be honest than beat around the bush with me." He said, but the way he said it had no venom or hate or impatience. He grinned, "Don't worry. We all have different tastes. You don't like apple pie so there is nothing wrong with that." He said before finishing the last of it. "And there is nothing else I really want to do. Anything you want to do?" He asked.
  5. Dunder was blasted to the back of his seat. He quickly regretted sitting next to the unicorn instead of sitting in the back. Getting odd looks by strangers is a lot better than getting your ears blasted inside-out. The sound would be better if it weren't for the noise. The music was pretty good, but Dunder could hardly stand the volume at first. He got more and more resistant to it as the music went on. The strings were the worst part. Any instrument that used a bow to play strings already made Dunder cringe, but the way the person in the sample was playing it made him shiver. The background music did make the string playing more bearable. He was glad when it left his ears. The music that he had just heard by the time the song was over left a bitter feel in his head. Like one of the foods that you are not sure about but then the taste is later something you enjoy. Either way, Dunder thought the music was pretty good. He also knew that he shouldn't really criticize it because he couldn't make something half as good. When the music was done he shakily took off into the air. He forgot to check for overhead clearance and almost bumped into the ceiling. He was glad that no other pegasi were there, or else he could look like an idiot. the other ponies also looked relatively fresh while Dunder looked like he had just gone through intense flight training. His mane was ruffled and his eyes were opened wide in shock of the foreign sounding music. He started to fly to the back of the stage. He waited in line to see the DJ. When he was up he started to laugh a little bit, "I know you'll probably hate me, but that was pretty good." He said, "Not half bad. I liked the sampling... except for the string beating, that was little.,, much." He said. He sat down on the ground and waited for her to retort with anger or possibly insults.
  6. "You know. If you don't like it, just tell me." He said before eating some of the pie. "I can't see why you don't like it, though. This apple pie is delicious." He said and quickly finished the rest.
  7. He smiled at her, "Don't worry. You'll love the apple pies." He said and smiled. He took off in flight to the apple stand. "Hey, Dunder, back for more? My pies are just that good!" The orange pegasi behind the stand said and smiled wide with his eyes closed. "Yep. Gimme another pie." He said, he already threw the bits into the bucket before he got served. "Thanks he said before trotting over to the barrel and sitting on it. He put the pie on the cloud. "Dig in." He said.
  8. Dunder noticed her obvious discomfort about him being there, but there was more. He also noticed that she seemed to be hiding more than whatever was in the bag. He slowly made a smile as he realized this. He was snapped out of when he heard the announcer and was even more snapped out of it when he got spat on with some strange smelling liquid. He flinched when he was hit by it and took no time to start cleaning himself of the liquid. He started laughing a bit as she angrily left, but soon he realized that his candy was covered in the liquid that not only smelled strange but was in her mouth. He threw the candy over his shoulder. The announcer was talking about something and Dunder wasn't paying attention. He sat there impatiently with his head on his hoof as he waited for the unicorn he had just met to come out. It was pretty obvious that she was the performer but he didn't get how she could become an entertainer with an attitude like that. He then thought about if she had become so cranky because she was making music. He knew that musicians were under constant pressure to make new and good music but he had never really seen the effects first hand. Then the announcer caught Dunder's ears again. His voice roared over the electronic background music and through the large speakers. He smiled when he heard the unicorn's stage name and saw how it was spelled from the overhead monitor. He stomped his hoof on the ground, "YEAH!!!! GO DJ- FROS7Y!" He yelled over the cheers of other audience members. He was sitting in the front so he was one of the ponies that stuck out more.
  9. "My break isn't over yet. I don't really want to go back." He said and scratched the back of his head nervously, "We were going to try apple pies, right?" He asked rhetorically, "Then let's get an apple pie."
  10. "Sure. We could go. I'd love to go." He said and smiled at her. He was glad to make a new friend, especially with a newcomer and a blacksmith. He trotted out of the store. "Do you have anywhere you want to go?" He asked her. There were several restaurants and fruit stands around town. There was even the apple stand he was talking about.
  11. "I'll just pay for it. It's only about 3 bits anyway..." Dunder said but trailed off when she went into the back. He looked at the buckler that she brought out. It was odd that she didn't know what it was and yet she had one. Maybe it was just a coincidence. He grabbed the small shield and waved it around a bit. He smacked it a few times with a wrench to make sure it didn't fall apart. He nodded at the shield, then at Storm, "It's worth the money." He said and pulled out some money. He counted the bits on the counter. "This should be enough." He said motioning to the pile he made.
  12. "You don't have to go if you don't want to. But if you do go, I could give you a deal because you're a friend of one of the workers." He said. "And I only buy apple pies because they are delicious. If you tried the ones from here, you'd like them." He said and smiled at her. "I can pay you a little extra so you could try one. Or I could buy one and we could split it."
  13. Dunder listened to her. He tried not to act nervous or worried by her behavior, but he did need to calm her down. He casually put a hoof on her shoulder, and smiled warmly at her. "No need to be nervous. You are among friends now. No one can hurt you." He said softly. "Anyway, I work at 'The Happy Pegasus.' It's down the road from here. I usually come to the apple stand across the street and but an apple and a pie on my break." He said. He loved the apple pies they sold there."
  14. He sat down again when she started to talk again. He listened eagerly to hear how she got accepted into the Cloudsdale culture. He half expected to be her first customer, but it was still rather surprising. "Well, welcome to Cloudsdale." He said, "You're still pretty new here, but new faces are always a good thing. Everypony...or half pony... is welcome here!" He said happily. He hoped she wouldn't get offended. "No, no, you're not prying by asking what I do or where I live." He said. "I live here in Cloudsdale and I work as a chef in a nearby restaurant." He said with a bit of pride, "I usually travel when I'm on vacation. And I plan my routes to make sure I get back on time." He said, "I also made my own house from a cloud. Did you do the same?"
  15. Dunder could tell that she was uncomfortable with the swamp. He head heard about the prejudice there of the ponies and griffons and hippogriffs. He didn't expect her to have lived there. Hadn't her family known that it was a horrible place to live? He shook his head clean of the thought. He didn't pry, either, he wouldn't ask if they obviously didn't want to talk about it. He just nodded and listened politely. Dunder listed to the rest of her story and then looked away in thought. He looked back at her, "How long have you been living here?" He asked, "I don't remmeber seeing you around. I also don't remember this store even being here." He said as he looked around at the walls and ceiling.
  16. "I don't mean it bad or anything. It's just that I..... You know... Uhh. Nevermind." He said and smiled nervously. He didn't want to come off as being rude or unwelcoming but it was hard to avoid it. And he couldn't lie now or it would be too obvious. He didn't answer and was glad she moved on and asked the next question. The truth was that he wanted to help the hippogriff get on her hoofs...or feet based on which side you're looking at. He held out his left hoof to her and thought for a moment. "Well. I go exploring a lot and sometimes I get into some situations where I need to protect myself." He said casually. He didn't want to mention anything bad that he did and he wanted to move on. "So, where are you from?"
  17. Dunder laughed warm-heatedly at the mistake she made. It was funny to him that she would make an honest mistake probably because she was nervous. However, he didn't mean any harm by it. :And yes. I am the type of adventurous pony that would ask for one. They can be pretty useful, you know, especially if you know how to use one." He saw her zone out for a bit and as she did, he examined the tools and blueprints on the walls. They seemed to be pretty awesome. He wished that he could accumulate such documents like her. "Well..." He said when he heard her offer, "How about you make the shield first and then I'll pay?" He said. He didn't know her skill and didn't want to bust 75 bits on a chef's paycheck. He smiled awkwardly as he tried not to sound mean or pushy.
  18. [bYE!!!!~~~] Dunder didn't expect anymore from the female unicorn than her to get straight to the point. Dunder followed her on hoof around through the halls and doors. He felt awkward following and felt nervous at the state of the battered rooms and doors. His eyes opened wide with awe when he saw the room before him. He didn't expect such an elegant place to be in a run-down building like that. He trotted inside and listened to Frost Bite's final words before she left. He wandered about the room, none of the other ponies seemed to notice him. But he noticed the other ponies. They all looked like the fancy-dancey ponies of Canterlot, but they seemed like they were in a part of a rock band. He walked over to a table and started to eat some candy as he thought about it. It suddenly hit him, the old-run down building, the fancy and yet neo-musical fashion, and Frost Bite's cutie mark all made it add up. This was probably some kind of musical thing. He sighed in relief as he realized this. He happily took off and did a loop before landing in a sitting position in the chair opposite to Frost Bite. "Hey!" He said happily and began eating more the the candy.
  19. Dunder stood there as she walked up to him. He kept his eyes concentrated on her face as he walked up. It was rude to stare, of course, but he had never got to see a hippogriff this close. He sat down on his rear, but used his front legs to keep himself up. "Well, hello Storm Feather." He smiled warmly at her. He knew she needed to be welcomed. "I am Dunder Blust. Welcome to Cloudsdale!" He said. "So, this is a blacksmith.... I guess... how much would a small buckler go for?" He asked. He hoped she knew what he meant.
  20. [Yes.] "I never said you didn't like 'such engagements' I was just saying that I'd recommend avoiding 'such engagements.'" He said. He kept following her even into the alley. When he heard about the bar and the tone of her voice as she mentioned it his heart started to sink a little. "Well... It can't bad. I've probably been in worse places. Also I've been to places that I don't own often." He said down to her. He landed and flowed through the door.
  21. Dunder Blust was sitting on a barrel and eating an apple during his break as he watched the hippogriff put up the 'open' sign on the door. He had never seen a blacksmith in Cloudsdale and he had hardly ever seen a hippogriff. This was a 1 in a million establishment and it was even better because it was in Cloudsdale. He finished eating the apple before he stood up and brushed his hooves off. He walked over to the front door of "The Iron Wing" Classy name. He thought. He opened the door and peeked inside, as if unsure if he could really enter. The bell rung above him and he opened the door further before stepping inside.
  22. "Then you should really be more careful about your packing." He put one hoof on his rapier to make sure the tip of the scabbard didn't hit anypony on the head. "So that you can avoid having such engagements."
  23. Dunder didn't notice her sunglasses until he had seem her walk away without hesitating. He also noticed her saddlebags which were packed full of something. He let her get away for a little bit before jumping into the air with all his strength and then hovering with his wings. He caught up to her and flew above her. "You know, you're going to have to hide whatever is in the bags better. It would be unfortunate if a pickpocket got their greasy hooves on it." He said as he flew above her in a position resembling as if he had been laying down.
