    DESPAIR

    From the album: Cat's Not-Art!

pfft, so I suppose this is what my beloved Cat does when she steals her coltfriend's cape and tries her hoof at being evil x3 scribble took about 30 minutes. I'm certain this is totes the classiest my art gets.

  2. Oh c'mon, she was originally created to be Cat's childhood bestie x3 Her being paired with Dubstep was a result of popular demand because of their interests and such xD
  3. From the album: Cat's Not-Art!

honestly, I'm probably more proud of this piece than anything else I've done so far. The ponies Dawn Valiant (character of Dubstep's) and Cat are having some dramatic hugs in the clouds for some reason. There's a long story behind this, but I'd rather not explain, since I'm not sure how well the concept of death is handled here. Gotta love dramatic lighting

© I suppose I put that I drew this here

  7. Sorry for the delay there x3 Edited her cutie mark info, is that better? And yeah, the boombox only gets radio signals, she's checking to see if any of her songs get played often I suppose x3
  8. Roleplay Type: Mane Name: Jumpstyle (DJ name; Deadhor5) Sex: Female Age: Young Mare Species: Pegasus Eye Color: A deep reddish orange hue, comparable to a blood orange Coat Color: White with a faint sky blue tinge, she's often covering her front and back legs with orange and blue leg warmers. Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: Fluffy and full with a thick forelock that comes across her face at an angle, usually leaving only part of her right eye visible. It's a deep robin's egg blue color, and has metallic streaks of silver that split off into more streaks as they near the tips of her mane. She keeps it otherwise under control with the help of her blue and orange baseball hat that's she's almost never seen without. Her tail is the same color as her mane, and a medium length with soft spikes sticking out in nearly every direction. Physique: Tall, lean, and nicely toned legs, though she's a bit on the thin side around her torso area from sometimes forgetting to eat enough. Her lack of sleep doesn't help with that either. Cutie Mark: A gold vinyl record set behind three hoofprints, one orange, one blue, and one purple, with a few multicolored music notes around them. Origin/Residence: Cloudsdale, is often seen in Ponyville though since a few of her close friends have taken up residence there. Occupation: Basically an all around musician, mainly a DJ, Singer, and a choreographer. She runs her own dance class at the performing arts center in Cloudsdale known as "Start to Stardom", teaching quite a few different modern styles, usually involving rhythmic stepping and jumping. Motivation: Her job, the reason why she became so enthralled with rhythm, DJing, and dancing, is because she just wants to make the world have a great time whenever she's around, so everypony out there will know her name and want to break down shuffling as soon as they hear it. Likes: Aside from her occupation as the party girl, Jumpstyle is surprisingly very relaxed and easy going, preferring to kill her time by getting out, seeing the city with friends and loved ones. She loves falcons and birds of prey, it is possible that she'll one day take one home as a pet. She often speaks very fondly of her home in the clouds, and doesn't seem to care all too much for living on the land. Dislikes: Aside from the basic things a pony should dislike, she does not like thunderstorms. They scare her horribly on account of a time as a young foal where she was trapped outside during one without her parents being aware of it (odd because otherwise she likes rain). There isn't too much that gets this happy go lucky mare angry, though. But she doesn't like it when she's told to turn off her music, or turn down her boombox while crusing the streets and blasting it on max volume. Character Summary: Jumpstyle is a combination of energetic, optimistic, funny, and confident. She just loves to be the center of attention wherever she goes, and often this is achieved without her even intending it, usually thank to her old school 50 pound boombox she carries around with her almost everywhere she goes. Often you'll find her occupying the local dance club, if not DJing for it or teaching her weekly dance class. Though, the girl is prone to getting jealous. She could care less if someone she didn't know was giving another pony attention, but her friends are SO not allowed to do that. She's not even sure why she gets like that, otherwise she's as modest a pony as there ever was. She's rather surprised at her own rise in popularity, and it's hard to go anywhere without meeting a pony that knows her under her famous DJ name, Deadhor5. Thanks to her habit of drinking rather large amounts of caffeine, usually in cappucinos and the like, she sometimes finds herself sleep deprived. It's not uncommon for Jump to skip a couple days of sleep, but once she does manage to get to sleep, it can be for a ridiculously long time. The girl was raised in one of the least classy parts of Cloudsdale, and often speaks with improper and shortened grammar, though it's easy to understand what she's saying anyways. Grammar freaks though don't often appreciate her slang. Jump's mother, a mare by the name of Rhythm 'n Blues, was very young when Jumpstyle was concieved, and was denied help from her parents who were outraged over this. She took up residence in an easily affordable apartment in one of the harshest parts of town, where it wasn't uncommon for the poor mare to be robbed in the dead of night. They had little luxuries, and Jumpstyle never did meet her father. She was born and enrolled in public school as soon as she could, where almost instantly the little filly made plenty of friends. Those that stuck closest to her though where two that would be classed as 'misfits' of the school socially. A filly named Cat Napper, ridiculed for her petite stature, and a colt named Cue, who's red eyes and slight overbite earned him the nickname 'Vampire'. All through grade school the three were inseparable, and her two friends also happened to be the only ones she ever opened up to about her love for music and dancing. It was because of the encouragement they gave her, that she year after year longed to show it to the world in their school's talent show. But they day came when Cue and Cat were enrolled in Flight Academy thanks to the district deciding that they were gifted flyers. Jump, who used her legs rather than her wings nearly all the time, couldn't go with them. They were able to stay though long enough to attend the talent show, and because this was more than likely the last time she'd see them, Jumpstyle agreed to take part in that year. It was when she was up there on that stage, everyone's eyes on her, looking so excited to see what she could do, that she realized how.. incredible, it felt. With more confidence than before, Jump showed them everything she had, all the dances she put together herself, the sick beats she created all on her own, and the crowd loved her! That day, she was regarded as one of the most talented fillies that little school had ever seen, and she was thrown into stardom! Her albums sold so well that she left school and started making a full living off of her earnings from live performances in her late teen years. Under the show name suggested by her friend Cat, Deadhor5, Jump successfully made enough money to pull her and her mother out of poverty, and as she hit adulthood, she bid her mother farewell and went out to start her own life. Jump never did indulge in the best her fame had to offer, choosing simply to perform in clubs around Cloudsdale rather than tour Equestria. She'll sell her own albums, and volunteer as a dance instructor for the performing arts center "Start to Stardom" which had their profits skyrocketing. Recently she'd found her old friend Cat living in Ponyville as a freelance artist, and has been visiting her every other week, one of the only reasons why this sky-dwelling star comes to the earth ever. >>>Ref sheet (cutie mark to be added soon) <<<
  9. But wait, I've got an approved OC using this name
  10. "Oh, well, what're you scared of silly?" The little filly righted herself in a quick movement and laid back down on her belly, attentively turned towards her.. now, coltfriend. Wow.. she'd hardly imagined it'd be this weird to see her best friend in such a new light. She always did think he was cute, not a massive, masculine tank of a pony at all like she'd always expected anypony that'd impress her to be. That didn't bother her at all, and the thought was brushed away as quickly as it came, and she turned her gaze to the very detail that gave away who the colt was upon meeting him that fateful day after the Gala. His eyes. The pegasus inched herself a tad closer with a slightly dazed smile, the look on her face said her mind was a million and a half miles away. What a brilliant shade, bright emerald green, and so expressive too! She'd always heard of ponies who's eyes gave away their emotions, and many times before she'd been told she too had that quality. But she'd never really noticed it in somepony else before. She could see it all, and Cat figured then it was true, eyes are a window into an individual's soul. After a moment, she brought herself back into reality, having spaced off in her little realm of over thinking, now just letting herself lean against Dark, hoping she wasn't really bothering him with her affections. She was still blushing, and just as unused to it as the villain was, and she didn't quite know what impulses told her it was a good idea to really be this open. "It's just me after all, heheh, just a silly little filly." The pegasus said, breaking herself from her silent thoughts. "What does this mean for us, Dark?" Cat sat up, still looking as relaxed as ever but with a little bit more of a serious tone. And to clarify; "This means, we ARE.. more than friends now, right..?" Cat figured that much, but it was better to be safe than make a tota idiot of herself.
  11. After that outburst of her's, Cat felt like she didn't know the definition of the word 'fear.' She stood as high on her hooves as she could and stared back at Malediction, stubborn anger still shining in her gaze. She listened, looking very confused the more the unicorn spoke to her. Wait.. so, she was.. waaait. Did Mal work the same way as everypony else here? Rudeness gets respect, while kindness gets ridiculing... what world was she from?! Cat didn't speak, she stayed completely silent, taking every word that was directed towards her with the same defiant look. She wouldn't allow this pony to step all over her again! Interesting how quickly moments of extreme emotion came and left in the little, quickly dispersing group of ponies. Rainbow Dash, clearly fed up, left the scene with the long gone third mare. At least things seemed to calm down, even though Mal was still present. With a subtle glance in her direction, Cat wondered what in the world she was still doing there anyways? Standing there, looking rather frightening still with that gunk smeared all over. The little filly shrugged, she was less intimidated by her now, and she'd give the unicorn the cold shoulder until she finally decided to leave them be. Rose's question got her to stop and think for a moment. Cat never really was lucky enough to meet many mares in Ponyville, let alone many ponies in general. "I dunno.. heheh, get'm hooked up with Rainbow Dash and you'll get all my bits hehhe!" She grinned, chuckling at the idea of what a wimp like Inky would do around somepony like Dash. Make a total idiot of himself, no doubt, she thought with a giggle. "On second thought, that might not be a good idea heheh.." Again switching her attention with a soft, gentle smile to Dark, the little filly tentatively walked over to him with a soft blush and gave the colt a warm nuzzle. Blushing bright, the pegasus would have to find someway to quickly get herself over how odd it felt showing so much affection to her best friend. It felt nice though.. very nice. "I'd ask how you know that I come here heheh.." She pulled away from the nuzzle, a wide, happy smile spread over her reddened face. "Why dont'cha ever join me? You know.. actually, come join me right now." Cat gave the silly colt an encouraging nudge and trotted back over to her spot beneath the tree. "We've got a lot of things we need to talk over, don't we? Hooves splayed out lazily beneath her petite body, Cat rolled over onto her back and playfully stuck her tongue out at the self proclaimed villain, waiting to see just what it was he'd do.
  12. Clearly I need to do a little more homework regarding the species I choose to play xD My bad completely, the name and appearance threw me off, Fleetfoot is now a Water Deer peryton :3
  13. Uh... what. That was it, that was IT. No more nice Cat! Clearly she was doing absolutely no wrong to this one eyed horror show, she was foolish for even thinking so! She was just a rude, jealous old hag, picking on younger ponies for no good reason! "Pardon me for saying so... miss 'Malediction' or whatever you name is." Cat started, gritting her teeth and flaring her wings angrily, a stark contrast to her fearful behavior only moments earlier. "But, tell me, why does ANYTHING that goes on between Dark and I matter in the least to you? And also, how old ARE you?" She snorted and stomped at the ground, instinctively taking a defensive pose in front of the colt she loved. "You're telling me to make my move, for Celestia's sake, I did! You were right here when I did, too! What the hay's wrong with you? I love him. But, why is that ANY of your business AT ALL?" At this point, Cat didn't care what was done to her. She had to speak her mind, this was just far too ridiculous. All she wanted today was a darn nap, and instead she got a hoof-full of useless drama. "You know, I honestly don't GIVE a flying ponyfeather if I look like a wuss, I'd rather that than be a creepy, rude, obnoxious, old, one eyed DEMON pony who relies on intimidation to make herself seem important!" She spat these insults from her tongue like stinging poison, snorting angrily and, thanks to her strong words, seeming more intimidating than if she'd relied on her limited physical strength to show her frustration. "Now, do us all a favor, and go teach yourself how to socialize. Maybe then you'll be able to get a colt to like you! Let alone anypony!" With an angry snort, Cat turned away from Mal, making a point to ignore her for the rest of the say, and turned her attention back to Rose just in time to hear her 'friendly' advice. After that outburst of hers, Cat barely even noticed the subtle threats her dear friend made towards her regarding Inky and his feelings. "Rose, you know I will definitely tell Inky as soon as I can, I'm not risking any more hurt than what's gonna happen.. he's my best friend you know? I wouldn't do anything that immoral to anypony, let alone Inkwell!" Ignoring failed, and she just had to get one more smart comment out. "Unlike someponies," She flashed her gaze back to Mal as she said this. "I care about feelings, and I don't like hurting at all." Reassuringly, the filly reached a hoof up to pat the red unicorn's shoulder. "Don't you worry about a thing, Rose. I won't let you down, I swear on my wings!" Adding on in a hushed tone so that only Rose would be able to hear her, she added on. "There's much more to Dark than his 'villainy' heheh, I've experienced the real pony he his firsthoof. I just wish he'd show that side more often."
  14. Roleplay Type: Mane Name: Fleetfoot Sex: Male Age: Young Adult Species: Peryton; Strongly resembles a Water Deer Eye Color: Pale Amber Coat Color: Dark mottled dusky Brown, faintly speckled a lighter tan along his legs. His wings are a faintly darker brown, fading to a lighter shade at the tips of his feathers. Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: He has a darker brown, wavey forelock that hangs over the right side of his face; being a Water Deer he also has a pair of six inch long tusks that resemble fangs of sorts. These are light cream colored. Physique: For a male, Fleetfoot is very sleek and feminine, slim and in toned shape from his dancing. He is almost always seen with his blue and orange wool scarf wrapped around his shoulders, knitted for him by a very kind pony he'd come across in his travels. Cutie Mark: N/A Origin/Residence: Born in Whitetail Woods like most Perytons, left and began wandering at a young age. Currently lives in Everfree, he's stayed a bit longer than usual as the odd creatures captivate the curious peryton. Occupation: None, Fleetfoot is a very reclusive forest dwelling creature, he lives off of the land and has no need for paid jobs. He's an incredibly skilled dancer, though. Likes: The night hours, the time time when he can travel without too much worry of being seen. Secretly Fleet longs to meet the alicorn responsible for the beautiful night. He, of course, is very fond of rhythms and dancing, he preferably loves tap and ballroom dancing, though he's been known on occasion to indulge in a little more modern styles. Though solitary, he enjoys a bit of company now and again. Flute music, rivers, song birds, complimenting colors, and warm weather are a few of the little things that make this peryton smile. Dislikes: Being surprised, Fleet is easily spooked and takes off at the slightest disturbance. Extreme temperatures, let it be hot or cold. He's particuarly sensitive to the cold, as he doesn't like how it feels on his nose. Large crowds make him very nervous, and he does not in the least bit like being ridiculed for his tusks, sometimes he doesn't even enjoy having them noticed. Character Summary: Being a breed of deer that naturally doesn't have antlers, identifying Fleetfoot's gender can be a little bit difficult at times. His personality doesn't really help this case at all. Fleet is incredibly shy and reserved around strangers, though it really doesn't take him long to open up. Once you get to know the odd thing, he actually can be a bit out going and fun, with a very good eye for color and fashion designs. What he enjoys most out of anything, though, is his dancing. Ever since he was a young fawn, Fleet loved dancing. Now, after years of practice, he's incredibly skilled in almost every style of dance and has a wonderful sense of rhythm. It isn't uncommon to see him enjoying a solo dance in the moonlight of Everfree. Fleet is very soft spoken, with a smooth and feminine voice that has a bit of a musical tone to it. As a child, his parents were slightly concerned, as he never enjoyed rutting around with the other male fawns, and had much closer female companions growing up. As well as being an odd breed, he wasn't too well liked in general once he developed his water deer tusks. He was ridiculed with the nickname 'vampire' all through his childhood. As soon as he was sure he'd grown big enough, he bid his parents farewell, and left Whitetail Woods to see the world. Though unknown to them, he'd left partially out of shame for being so different. Since he left, Fleet's life has been peaceful and serene, if not a bit lonesome. The sweet little peryton rarely can get the courage to seek out a companion, and sometimes is seen talking to the woodland animals. Very happy with where he is, Fleet still aims to one day share his dancing with others, it would take him a bit of coaxing to ever even think of revealing himself to the local pony population though. All in all, Fleet is a friendly, shy, sometimes slightly vain little peryton, quick to flee but quick to trust as well. ((I'll get an image up as soon as I can ))

eee, that was so sweet of DC to request that for me Lovely job here, as usual Kuda. Keep up the good work!
  16. After all the troubles for a brief moment had been fogged from the filly's mind, there came a moment of sheer bliss, something not quite as beautiful as anything she could remember having experienced in her life. The sadly short lived moment came to a close quickly, Cat snapping out of her euphoria with a surprised squeak as the one-eyed unicorn suddenly erupted in anger, and particularly deadly looking flames. Instinctively flaring her wings to a full span in an attempt to shield herself and Dark from the sudden rage, Cat grew abnormally silent after Malediction's outburst. The insult spat at her seemed to hit her normally solid heart for the first time anypony here in Ponyville would have known of. Insults didn't bother her, in fact, it seemed nearly impossible to penetrate the filly's young heart with cruelty. Something about Mal, and her immediate dislike of Cat upon meeting her for no more than a few minutes... The filly's azure rimmed ears slammed flat against her head, wide, shocked eyes looking almost as if she'd been stabbed in the back. She tore her gaze away from the unicorn, looking a little panicked as she couldn't really figure out why the scar covered mare hated her so much, and, with a small distressed snort, trotted away from the group through her clearing with her head held low, trying to hide her welling tears from detection. Boy, was THAT embarrassing or what? Nopony had ever managed to upset her like that so quickly, especially not after such a wonderful moment.. The little pegasus peeked tentatively up from above the grass after walking out a few feet from her tree, and cast her silver glance back to the group, eyes lingering on Dark for a moment as he spoke up in her defense. Panic faded after that, the amount of bravery it took to admit his feelings.. AND to stand up to somepony as threatening as Mal all at once.. In all honesty, Cat didn't ever expect the young colt to have that much goodness in him, and her heart fluttered with a happy, warm joy seeing this. She'd chosen good, this petty little colt might be seen as a pest to most of the locals, but to the half-sized pegasus artist, he really could end up being what she'd always wanted. She'd calmed herself notably quickly, returning to her normal attitude in a few moments, and slowly edged herself back into the scene, sticking near Rose Madder this time and trying to keep a low profile this time. "Rose," She began, sounding very apologetic as she decided to explain herself. "You know I like Inky.. I like him a lot, but, you know.. I did a lot of thinking, and well.." She looked saddened even by the thought of losing her dorky little artist companion. "He's too important to me, he's my best friend, you know? And... thing is, I like Inky and all, but.. I really, really like Dark." The filly nodded, shuffling her hooves nervously again. "I've never really been more sure, but I do. And not in a friend sort of way either. M-more than that.." Blushing hotly, she couldn't bare to even make eye contact with Rose after that having been said, and spoke up in a weaker, but hopeful tone. "... do you think he'll understand? And.. still want to be my friend?"
  17. Wait... what? Cat's eyes shot open, she almost wanted to be sure her ears were working, if she'd heard her villainous friend correctly. After a moment or two of staring like a deer in headlights, straight ahead at nothing in particular with ears perked in surprise, the outburst from Dark finally started to sink into her. "Wait.. R-really? You.." Her pale face nearly instantly lit up in a bright red blush, everypony else in that scene suddenly seemed to disappear as her heart picked up into a flutter. He DID love her, now she didn't have to be the one to tell him how SHE felt! It was as if a heavy saddle had been lifted from her back, and she almost let out a sigh of relief. "You, you think you love me..?" The artist lowered her ears, eyes flashing back and forth nervously. Dark had witnessed her open affections towards Inky, what would he think of her suddenly coming onto him? Well... seeing how he clearly was planning on admitting his feelings towards the filly, he didn't seem to see that she and Inky were crushing on one another. And, clearly as well was the fact that it didn't seem to bother him. Thoughts of Inkwell were soon turned aside as a small smile made its way onto her face. Shuffling her hooves nervously and casting her gaze down to the grass in front of her, Cat was amazed by the amount of bravery it took this colt to admit how he felt. Now was her chance, she would be able to tell him how she felt in turn, always be there for him, never let anypony hurt him again.. but how the hay would she go about saying that to him? She looked up again, after the moment of silence, and finally spoke in an attempt to come clean. "Dark... I uh.." Ears folded, the little filly's mind was suddenly drawing a blank on what to say, unusual since she was pretty good at wording things the right way. Before she knew what she was doing, as in her actions were on auto pilot, she stepped forth, soft blades of grass brushing past her sides as she stood up as high on her hooves as she could, and locked Dark in a brief little kiss, lasting no more than ten seconds at the most. After pulling away, she realized what she'd done, and the fact that Inkwell's darn sister had witnessed it. "I uhhh... heheh.." She smiled shyly and looked away, ears flattened back against her skull again and blushing once more. "I.. guess actions speak louder than words... heheh."
  18. Magi nodded and followed along, listening politely to Rose Madder's response to her question and, for once, seeming genuinely interested in hearing what somepony else had to say. It wasn't until Rose's puns, of which Magi couldn't tell were intentional or not, that the fiery mare seemed the least bit interested in putting something into the conversation. She stopped, simply stared at Rose for a brief few seconds before trying her hardest to stifle a giggle, and finally breaking into loud laughter altogether. She just laughed, face spread wide in a grin and tongue drooping out as she beat her hoof against the ground in almost seemingly maddened enjoyment. After a few minutes of this, the mare's knees trembled, and she found herself sprawled out on the ground in hysterical laughter, eventually managing to catch her breath and stop herself, a few stray giggles slipping from her maw every few breaths. "AHAHAHahahh... ohhohhh man, heheheh~ I think I like you Rose Madder heheh. You're funny." She stood up again, not even looking the faintest bit embarrassed after her public giggle attack, and met Rose's gaze with a silly grin and a happy nod. "Call me Magi Blaze."
  19. Oooohh... Cat didn't know if she was too find of this one-eyed unicorn girl here, what she'd said to Dash was.. well, not cool! She wanted to pipe in, say that if it wasn't for the element stuff that.. Cat didn't completely understand, they would all likely be in a lot of trouble right then. But rather, the little artist flattened her ears and backed away from the fight, mumbling something incoherent as she slowly backed her small form behind her friend Rose. Softly she cursed herself for being too small to really stand up for what she felt was right, already feeling very irritated anyways now that her relaxation spot had been turned into a battleground. "Wha..?" Cat perked up and turned to curiously look at Rose, head slightly tilted. "Somepony wants.." She trotted and peered out a little ways behind her friend, goggles raised to her eyes, and soon the form of the very reason she'd left her apartment became much clearer among the barley. "Oh! Dark! I, eh.." The filly's ears lowered guiltily and she turned back to the crowd of ponies, one looking pretty irritated herself with Rainbow Dash and the one-eyed mare's aggression, she couldn't just leave the poor girl there with those two at each other's throats! But really, what could she do? Being petite definitely had its disadvantages sometimes.. Cat tried to shrug off the issue behind her and trotted over to greet her dear friend, who oddly seemed very nervous as she got a closer look. "Hey.." She said softly, genuinely concerned as she trotted a bit closer to the young villain. "S'everything okay Dark..?"
  20. hurrp, my bad Tales. I'm still not used to that x3 yeah, this is final, go ahead and assess away :3
  21. Name: Freya Sex: Female Age: Mature Adult Species: Diamond Dog (strongly resembles a Newfoundland) Pelt Color: Dark smoky gray, very long and thick around her throat, but shortens up near her back. Very thick on her tail. Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: She's got a short mane of dark hair that comes down over her face and completely covers her eyes, though she seems to have no problem seeing. Eye Color: Her eyes aren't usually visible, but when they are they're strikingly bright blue. Cutie Mark: N/A Physique: She's very heavyset for a female, strong and muscular around her shoulders with long arms. Her hanging jowls can sometimes get very drooly, especially if she's panting. Origin: Diamond Dog Tunnels Roleplay Type: Mane Occupation: Pup Caretaker/Body Guard to the current leader of the tunnels Motivation: Unlike a lot of her fellows, Freya is very sweet and hospitable towards other species. She has her love for diamonds that others of her species have, as is apparent by her gem studded leather collar, but sees the real potential that the tunnel's youth has on the future, hence why she was chosen to be the caretaker of the children. Likes: Working with pups, children in general, griffon cooking, and she has a hidden desire to someday learn how to fly. She often wonders if there is a way to grow wings. Dislikes: Dangerous criminal types, fighting and bloodshed, complete darkness, and does not like rattlesnakes, they're such a pain when they wind up in the nursing tunnels. Character Summary: Freya, the big fluffy black behemoth, is pretty intimidating upon first meeting her, but after a good five seconds, you'll realize she's just the completely harmless pack mother of the otherwise feared diamond dogs. Born and raised in with the 'normal' pup group, young Freya was trained and used only for mining work and occasionally guard work, a perfectly miserable existence for the motherly dog. She accepted her place, worked hard, and managed to pull a lot of weight there in the tunnels, earning her a respectable position among the other workers. Though she strongly disliked all the long hours of toil spent in the mines, all for the greed of her betters, her true happiness lay with the nursery care she did. The pups were the future of the diamond dogs after all, what would be more important than that? It was definitely odd, seeing a dog who cared about something more than her precious gems, and soon she appointed herself the litter nanny. With her help, more litters were successfully raised into strong, healthy dogs, but even so there were still the despicable acts of her fellows, usually trying to dispose of the smaller pups that were thought to be useless. She'd gotten into many tooth and claw battles over the well being of these 'runts'. Freya was strong and well known, respected, but after a well known ponynapping occurred in her home, the sweet dog would have nothing of this. She began a rebellion soon after the return of Gideon, a young dog she had briefly cared for when he was a child and worried about his peculiar size, and stopped working so willingly as he and the other runts took charge of the cave. This gained Gideon a high level of respect in Freya's mind, and soon she took up position as the new leader's bodyguard as well as the head litter nanny, a job which kept her paws full constantly. Gideon is now her closest and most trusted ally, no matter how sleazy and deceitful he is in business, the dog had a natural ability to lead that Freya respected, and she took it upon herself to watch out for the smaller dog, though sometimes she goes a bit over the top with her motherly instincts towards him. Freya's not much like a diamond dog in nature at all. Of course, she has her weakness for gems and pretty things, and can sometimes be a bit of a hoarder when it comes to the prettier gemstones she manages to dig up. She has a very nice collection of sparkling stones growing in her private quarters, one that would embarrass the daylight out of her if anyone knew about it. Unlike others, the girl holds youth and lives in general high above the value of her gemstones, she's very, very hospitable and protective, always ready to help anyone in need, be it pony or diamond dog. She dreams of someday mothering her very own litter and bringing them out to see the world beyond the tunnels, but seeing how she isn't exactly the most sleek or feminine of the female dogs, she has a bit of a confidence issue and fears being rejected or worse, laughed at by any male she happens to take a liking to. ((will update soon with a picture of her))
  22. Magi oddly managed to look completely calm throughout another rage fit from this stranger, who she really was starting to strongly dislike. She wished she would just go away, so she would be able to talk more with the other mare, somepony Magi actually wanted to socialize with. She really had no idea why her acquaintance was putting up with the prissy little flower in such a way, and couldn't help but smirk slightly feeling Rose tense up as Babbles fix her coat with the least amount of effort. The firedancer snickered softly to herself and waited silently for the two mares to get at it, she hadn't witnessed a good street fight in quite some time. She looked slightly disappointed when Rose managed to calm herself and politely dismiss the two of them from the scene, but slowly became a bit impressed with the mare's ability to control herself in such a way. If it were up to her, Magi Blaze would live up to her name and scorch Babbles's precious coat in a heartbeat. Still, she had enough sense to take this and agree to leave with Rose, giving the stuck up unicorn mare a mock bow of respect before trotting away from her behind Rose. As if the entire ordeal had never even happened, Magi went back to the original conversation the two were having, offering a small, friendly smile to Rose as she did so. "I never got your name." She grinned, and finally decided to add on with a little giggle; "You didn't have to save me back there.. how come you did?"
  23. The spider, clearly some kind of hairy, demonic wolf spider, MENACINGLY crawled closer to Cat, causing the filly to let out a loud shriek and leap away from her foe just as another pony approached her. The pegasus snorted and shot a brief glare at her, that is until she got a full look at what this new mare looked like. "FFAAHH..!" Cat's wings bolted out, entire body giving a startled jolt, though she soon calmed herself and got a good look at the slime coated filly. "Oh gosh.. wh-what happened to you..?" The mean spirited words the stranger had spat at her went completely unheard, and the caring pegasus took a small step towards the unicorn, looking deeply concerned. "Are you hurt at all..?" She would have pressed on in trying to help the unicorn, who the filly could very clearly see now sported a frightening gash in her shoulder, if it hadn't been for another pegasus acquaintance of hers calling out a greeting, and then joining her in being completely shocked by Mal's appearance. "H-hi again Rainbow Dash.." She nodded, taking a step back to greet the prismatic mare with a happy smile and a subtle wave of her wings. She cleared her throat, trying so desperately to calm her heart rate after two scares at once, and all thoughts of the evil spider had left her mind. "We're a 'lil ways away from Ponyville, what brings you both out 'ere..?" She said with minor irritation detectable in her voice, this was supposed to be her private hideout that nopony else new about! The little artist managed to suppress a groan as yet another pony marched in on her secret getaway, this one carrying with her a basket of wild grown fruits. "Bluh.. that's what I'd like to know." Cat responded to the new mare questioning the noise. "I WAS gonna take a nap.." Still, she was completely unaware of the arrival of two of her closest friends, Dark remaining hidden nearby and Rose making herself clearly seen as she trotted in and questioned the vicious looking mare about her missing eye. Had her rest not been interrupted, the pegasus would have been thrilled about seeing Rose again.. but they'd all happened to catch the filly in a very rare moment of low tolerance, and so many crowding around her was quickly making her anxious. "Alright.. what are you all doing here anyways, if you don't mind me askin'?" She took a few deep breaths, managing to slowly calm herself and keep her temper from flaring too badly.
  24. Ever since Cat's arrival in Ponyville, there'd been a spot nearby that was, in her mind, unknown to anypony other than herself. She felt it to be her sanctuary for when life became a little too much for her hooves alone, somewhere to sit back and let the worries roll off of her aching wings. A few miles outside of the little mountainside town a secluded clearing could be found, a golden field of wild barely so tall that the little pegasus sometimes found it tickling her ear tips (not entirely unbelievable thanks to the filly's abnormally small size). It was dotted with a few flat, sun warmed rocks and hidden from the harsh day's light by a massive oak tree centered perfectly in the area, branches extending and shielding it from the intensity of the sun and allowing only a small amount of green tinted light to filter between the leaves and dapple the ground beneath. More often than not, if one managed to find the hidden place, they'd happen upon the little mare resting safely tucked away among the massive roots of the tree. Today was such a day, and most likely the last warm day outside Cat would be enjoying until next Winter Wrap Up. After the Running of the Leaves, the behemoth of a tree Cat was lying beneath had been stripped bare of its covering, and the sight was almost melancholic to her. It meant she had nowhere to forget her troubles if only for a moment, until Spring that is. Lazily lying on her back, limbs splayed and soft belly exposed, the filly sighed and let this silent moment apart from the world be taken as a moment to roll through her thoughts. Life was good, her business kept her fed each day and paid her rent on time, ponies gave her interesting subjects to experiment in her various paintings and sculptures alike. More important than her income still was how happy she made her clients, how many of them she made smile with the work she made for them. The filly grinned at the thought, all those ponies she'd given a laugh, all the wonderful souls she'd met through her work, that was what really was important to her. With this in mind, what would young Cat have to worry about? Aside from work though, there was a whole other world Cat was involved in. And that was romance and friendship, social things that Cat held to be the most important matters of all. Inkwell was the first she'd thought of, being so similar to herself, but was it really worth risking their friendship to dive into something like that? She liked him, but she would be devastated if she lost him as a result of a bad dating experience. He was simply far too important to her for something like that. On the other hoof, there was her other closest friend, somepony Cat wasn't all too sure felt the same way towards her. That cute little master of evil introduced himself to her a few months previously at the Gala, Dark Core. Childish, immature, cocky, altogether obnoxious, and rather destructive of property, it wasn't easy to see why the girl even bothered befriending the colt. She'd seen more than her fair share of evidence that Dark wasn't treated nicely in the past, resulting in this rebellious stage that gave him such a terrible rep. All he needed was somepony he would trust, right? Cat nodded to herself, she did want to help him and be a true friend to him, but now that Inky wasn't much of a love interest, she started to feel her emotions come onto the little villain. She was stupidly defensive of him and very, very caring. For a while it seemed like friend stuff, but now it seemed more apparent that there WAS something more.. The artist would have spent more time pondering her feelings.. if it wasn't for that telltale prickling of tiny, devilish legs crawling up the side of her exposed stomach. She froze in place, and after a moment of panic silently rising inside her, the pegasus shrieked and leaped to her hooves, violently shaking in a canine way to remove the spider from her fur. "GAH! Wh.. oh.. dear Luna why is there ALWAYS a spider..?" Cat squeaked, quaking from her newly gained perch at the top of a low branch. Unusual for her though, Cat felt brave.. and angry at the creature for interrupting her peace. And she'd been thinking.. if spiders are so common, she'd need to get over her silly fear at some point.. "HYAH!" She raised her voice in a mock battlecry and leaped down, obviously quaking as she faced the almost confused looking black arachnid. "Wanna mess with me...? Have at you, foul beast!" The pegasus took a defensive stance, but made no move to harm the bug. More out of fear than mercy. Even with how secluded the clearing was, it would seem curious to any observers that Cat came here so often and practically wore down a path. It wouldn't be too surprising if somepony happened along and found the artist's separate peace.
  25. The look of exhaustion working its way onto Cat's face was unmistakable. One of the disadvantages to her height was the fact that she had to work her short legs twice as hard to even think about being able to keep up with the other racers, let alone beat them. Panting lighty, but not looking in any less of a good mood than she normally was, the little artist nodded to Rose with a grin. "Fun, fun.. hahh, yeah.. Inky's like that. Always the one to chicken out.. first chance he gets.." With a burst of effort, Cat sped her gallop a little more seeing the change in terrain. Lovely Whitetail Wood had drastically changed in appearance, now a rough rocky landscape barren of many trees. Briefly she pondered how cool of a setting this would make for a dramatic painting, shook herself out of her thoughts, opened her mouth to respond to Rose, only finding nothing to come out other than a giggle as not one, but TWO racers ended up slamming into trees. "Oof.. poor folks.." She panted, even through her goofy grin it was plain to see the sympathy in her eyes. "They'll be fine.. hahhhahh, I've had my fair share of crashin' into things in my time... whew.." The filly panted, a slight stumble in her step showed as she started to slow her pace. She was starting to lose her energy from this lengthy run, poor Cat had never been great with endurance. Nonetheless, she pushed onward, feeling great pride knowing that even as she was having fun with a dear friend, she was also doing her part for Equestria and helping turn the seasons. "Ahh, man.. at this rate I dunno if I c'n keep up well much longer.." She wheezed, tongue drooping out of her agape maw as she panted and attempted once more to pick up the pace. "Ngh.. I sure as hay can try though!"
