  1. I like it! It looks like the chapter title page to a Japanese manga too awesome to exist.
  2. I'd say it's ready for evaluation, but my other [Final] needs to be accepted before I can send this one up the pipeline.
  3. Thank you. I love your avatar pony's coat color. It's a very delicate and pretty tone.
  4. The young stallion pondered how best to answer Lore Weaver's question. "Hmm...complicated ones. Ones involving custom-build decks of collectible cards, or hand-painted miniatures on a battlefield. Specialist hobby games, I guess you'd call them. I don't know if that tells you what you wanted to know, but feel free to ask more if you like. Of course, I didn't come over here so I could be the center of attention." He turned toward Ice Storm. "I don't believe I've seen you around before. You're the new arrival, correct?" He nodded to her. "It's a pleasure to meet you. I may not live here, but I thoroughly enjoy my time in Ponyville, and I'm sure you will, too."
  5. Your avatar and signature banner amuse me, and I'd be interested to learn the story behind both.
  6. Your avatar reminds me of Timecube.com, which is hilarious. Visit if you haven't already, but don't try to read everything. Your IQ will drop 30 points.
  7. You're newer than I am and I couldn't tell without looking at your post count. Way to jump in headfirst and mingle!
  8. You swiftly ninja'd me on Noedig's offer of a cookie. You'll share, right?
  9. The young unicorn smiled and seated himself, as soon as he saw there were no objections. "I'm HighRoller, but most people just call me Roller. I run a game store in Canterlot, but I visit here pretty regularly. There's a group of ponies here that are trying to get into the hobby, and I come ever couple of weeks to check on them and foster their interest." He rubbed the back of his neck with a hoof. "I...I hope that wasn't too long-winded of an explanation," he said. "Who're your compatriots here today, Mayor Mare?" he asked, smiling and swishing his tail.
  10. "My fondest wish is to see joy alight upon your visage..."
  11. You have an interesting forum name that I'd be interested in learning the story behind.
  12. Thanks for linking that. I'd never really seen it all before, but I'm trying to wade through RJD's massive back catalogue.
  13. You're right on the counts of Rainbow and Sabbath, as the idea behin this character was very much to take Ronnie James Dio and stick him in a pony's body...x3 I altered certain small details of his backstory, but he'd heavily based off of the God of Metal. Also, I just noticed I haz three apples! YAAAY! 8D
  14. I would make it [Final], but I have another app with that status, and as I recall you can only have two apps in the pipeline at once, one Final and one WIP. If I'm wrong about that and somehow misremembering, I'll make this one Final.
  15. Chosen One: "They're french!" Master Betty: "Stinky pits and all, baby!" - Kung Pow: Enter the Fist "We're not the Judaean People's Friends, we're the People's Friends of Judaea!" - Presumably nameless character in Monty Python's Life of Brian "I want you to remember that no b*****d ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor b*****d die for his." - George S. Patton, Patton "Any problem on Earth can be solved with the careful application of high explosives. The trick is not to be around when they go off." - Colonel Mirtz von Quirheim, Valkyrie(I love that movie, in case anyone had difficulty figuring it out.) Nostalgia Critic: "Stop it, stop it! As far as I'm concerned, you both look equally stupid! Film Brain: "But I look MORE stupid, right?" Nostalgia Critic: "OH, YEAH!" -Suburban Knights (It's a full-length feature. Lemme alone! D:<)
  16. You give very generous compliments, especially considering the fact that I probably made a grand total of five posts, if that. x3 Real life got in the way. Yo dawg, I heard you like compliments so I complimented your compliments so you can feel good while you feel good.
  17. You're far better at giving compliments in this context than I am, because as remarkable a person as you seem to be, I can't think of anything specific! 8D
  18. Wow...what a gorgeous, regal figure she cuts! I love her makeup, and frankly I was too engrossed in other details of the picture to notice the blue mark beside her eye until someone mentioned it. I especially like the...circlet, I guess you'd call it that she's wearing on her head. It adds to her exotic but powerful aura.
  19. You look spiffy in that getup...like cyberpunk snowboarder or something equally unique and awesome!
  20. "The Emperor protects, but it never hurts to double check." - Captain Severus (Terrence Stamp), Warhammer 40,000: Ultramarines "Hitler's Germany has seen its last sunrise." - Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg (Tom Cruise), Valkyrie (A.K.A. The Tom Cruise Eyepatch Movie) "Dreams die hard and you hold them in your hands long after they've turned to dust." - Bowen (Dennis Quaid), Dragonheart More Dragonheart quotes: Prince Einon (David Thewlis): The peasants are revolting! Brok: They've always been revoltin', prince. Now, they're rebellin'! Brother Gilbert: I've decided to compose the Ballad of Bowen! How do you prefer that I should write it? Bowen: Far away! Bowen: I will not stop until I've rid the world of every last one of you! Draco (Sean Connery [heck yeah!]): I am the last one!
  21. The pony (?) in your avatar has a striking coat pattern and appears to be the kind of character it would be interesting to roleplay with.
  22. Roleplay Type: Mane Equestrian Name: Iron Rainbow Sex: Male Age: Stallion Species: Unicorn Eye Color: Dark Blue Coat Color: "Devil Red", as illustrated in picture Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: Mane is fluffed and wavy, tail is similarly fluffed up for stylistic purposes, and both are reddish brown in color Physique: Below average height, slim but solidly built Accessories: Often clad in a vibrant purple vest on stage Cutie Mark: A microphone beneath an overarching rainbow Origin/Residence: Born in Manehatten, travels wherever the wind takes him, and tours all over Equestria and beyond with his band Occupation: Singer in a hard rock/heavy metal band, "Black Solstice" Motivation: Iron Rainbow desires to bring the rock and roll music that inspires him so much to the masses, and lives for the stage. Although he isn't necessarily lonely, with friends, fans, and colleagues surrounding him, he wishes to someday start a family, but worries about how it will affect his art. Likes: Rock and roll, music in general, black coffee, performing, galloping hard on the plains, rainbows Dislikes: Tea, being off the road for too long, too much silence, laryngitis, Character Summary: Personality: Though Iron Rainbow projects a flamboyant, whimsical, and powerful image (despite his smaller than average size), he is very down-to-earth off of the stage, gladly carrying on conversations and signing autographs before and after shows, communing with his fans. His bandmates (with the exception of one former guitarist) regard him as being a very classy, amiable, and overall pleasant pony. There's nopony who he considers himself too good to socialize and be friends with. Family: Iron Rainbow has a younger sister who works at a bank in Manehatten. They're cordial but don't talk all that much, due to him being busy and his sister considering the type of music he plays to be noisy and obnoxious. He and his sister jointly pay for their peacefully aging parents to live in a retirement community, also in Manehatten. He visits with them every so often when not on tour, but writes to them regularly while on the road. Iron also has an estranged ex-wife who married him for his fame and fortune but couldn't tolerate his traveling, sporadic lifestyle and left him only slightly more than a year after their marriage. He voluntarily sends her a sum of bits every month as a gesture of good will. Personal History: As a colt, Iron always loved music. As soon as he could he enrolled in the school band, playing the trumpet. He was rather good, often traveling to regional contests as he got older. It was here that he learned the strong breathing techniques that would later help him maintain his powerful voice. His parents always supported his musical endeavors, until he decided to strike out and start up a band immediately after secondary school. Even then they didn't condemn him, always welcoming him home when he had nowhere else to stay because the band was down on its luck. Eventually his band's bluesy style evolved into something heavier, and after his group finally amiably parted ways, he found a place in a new group called Black Solstice that had recently fired its lead singer for excessive rowdiness on and off the stage. He's been with them ever since his young stallionhood, and has never looked back. He has since gone on to sing such hits as "Mare on the Silver Mountain", "Rainboom in the Dark", "All the Foals Sailed Away", and most recently, "Mistress of the Moon". [All punny ponifications of actual Ronnie James Dio songs, for those unaware. ;D] Cutie Mark Story: Despite his confidence, Iron Rainbow didn't gain his cutie mark until just before reaching the status of a grown stallion. It was his first show with his new band. He was a little nervous, naturally, but strutted across the stage, amazing the small audience with his strong performance. However, even after this successful debut, he felt something was missing. During his next show, he devised a setup allowing a heavy mist of water to be sprayed above the stage, using a light projecting spell to fire a radiant beam, piercing the vapor and creating a massive arcing rainbow. The beautiful sight was enhanced and punctuated by his terrific voice, and it was there on that stage in front of the cheering crowd that he earned his cutie mark, representing his remarkable combination of powerful singing and distinctive showmanship. 23. Roller's eyes lit up as he was presented with the small boxed set of figurines. "Whoah...these will look really nice on display!" He levitated the box and examined it closely, finding no real defects except for a bit of peeling paint here and there. That hardly mattered, and all in all seemed to him to add to the item's charm. It didn't seem as if a factory had just churned it out moments before. It looked like it had character. Using his magic, the blue unicorn carefully lowered the box onto the pile, before beginning to rummage through the toys a bit more. He found a couple more odds and ends, namely some crystal dice, and set them on the pile as well, closing the lid to the chest. "I'm ready to make you an offer, whenever you have a moment!" he told Pigpen. On the pile were the miniatures he'd found himself, the strange, festive chess set, the dice, and the soldiers that Pigpen had dragged out for him.
  24. I like the picture, and the abstract background is neat. I like the way it just ALMOST blends in with the effects of her magic, but not quite.
