Just for reference, some people have already started up a fighting game (Based on an already existing engine). http://www.canterlot.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=1643 Of course, if your idea has nothing to do with this, feel free to disregard.

  4. Not only that, but in episode 25, Pinkie wears this. Human noses.
  5. A members gallery would be most beneficial for me in the future, so I chose that. Of course, I'll need to have some art in the first place.
  6. She's already confirmed to have an episode in Season 2, actually. One of the first ones, probably.
  7. Out of the mane six, Rainbow Dash is the most common pony to lose her cutie mark as an animation mistake. Scootaloo seems to have an "Applebloom" stand-in on occasions(At one point she had both Applebloom's eye color and no wings). Crowd shots tend to have 4-8 background ponies that are duplicated as many times as it takes to fill the screen. On some occasions they will all be blank flanks. Rainbow Dash's mane, from the top, is supposed to be: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Violet. Her tail, from it's top, is the reverse order: Violet, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Red. Her tail and the back of her mane tends to be appropriately colored, but her front mane (Red, Orange, Yellow) is commonly displayed in the wrong order, which ruins the "rainbow" effect her hair is supposed to do. I think that the animators want a 3-d consistency to her mane but I think they should treat it like Mickey Mouse's ears and just keep it always Red/Orange/Yellow. (Though I understand that in some shots where she turns her head it can get confusing) Yes, it's lazily done.
  8. Update 03/08/12: Main site link Update 02/11/2011: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxFnpBh22Sg&feature=player_embedded Update 20/06/2011: Original Post: Source Looks like someone finally decided that it's time for a fighter. Seems it uses the fighter maker engine. Apparently there will be 17 playable characters, but that might change in the future. Whether it turns out great or not remains to be seen, as well as if it will ever get released. Applejack for top tier
  9. I actually had a huge post planned that would have explained my point better, but when I tried to post it it asked me to log on instead, and then I realized I lost 1 hour of writing. T_T So I rushed out the post with something a lot more condensed. The way I see it, I agree, there is simply no way to make Rainbow Dash a lesbian beyond fan interpretation. For one, this is a show where 90% of the characters are girls, which means that having her hang out with them more often is too easily written off. Two, they can't go beyond faking kisses, so relationships, straight or not, can't even go into depth. And three, it's been 26 episodes and we haven't gotten a single moment where Dash had to establish what her sexual preference was, much like most of the cast, and this is probably because it doesn't matter. I had a lot more stuff to say, but I'm too busy to write it all up now. Welp, I feel like I'm repeating myself.
  10. Considering 90% percent of the ponies are female, with the only prominent male member being the baby/child of a completely different species, it's somewhat difficult to write a shipping fic with a male character. Despite that, I've seen a male/male shipping fic once... Concerning Rainbow Dash, 26 episodes in and I think the show made it clear her sexuality doesn't matter, much like the rest of the cast (except Spike, who constantly sucks up to Rarity and, uh, Rarity, who aspires to marry a prince. But maybe not anymore...). I have nothing against her, or any of the mane 6, turning out to be a lesbian, though. I just hope that if it is done it's because the episode's plot called for it and not to "please the fans". I had a much bigger post planned but then I was forced to log back in, bleegh.

First, we had Rainbow Unicorn Attack. Now we have Rainbow Dash Attack.
  13. Truth be told, I think this happens with a lot of doors. A comment from a user on youtube pointed out that this happens all the time with Twilight's door. It probably happens with just about every other door as well. It's most likely a common lack of communication between animators that causes these easy to miss mistakes. Hopefully season 2 will be a bit better when it comes to these bloopers. Animation goofs can sometimes be funny and even memetic, but stuff like the horseshoe color-switch up at the beginning of Fall Weather Friends is just unnacceptable, especially because it was noticeable the very first time I watched it.
  14. More AJ-centric episodes would be nice. A Rainbow Dash solo song would be 20% cooler than every other one so far. Also, although it may be unlikely, I'd like an episode where the ponies go into space. Or maybe the moon. A Luna-themed episode where the ponies go to the moon, yes! Finally, the Smooze making an appearance (Or an expy of it) would be worth it.
  15. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3AYNLHZrNog Some more animation mistakes in video form. It should be noted that the "last" mistake was probably done on purpose. (Not to mention the sounds staggered at the end) It compiles more of the errors listed previously here, as well as a few other ones.
  16. The possibility of her taking a speaking or even primary role for an episode was not ruled out, though. (I think it's unlikely) I guess we'll mostly see her on the level of her role in "Feeling Pinkie Keen". More mailmare shenanigans, please!
  17. Lauren updated her DA page with a clarification. So she's already finished her work on season 2 at this point.
  18. Here are some clarifications about Faust's reasons for diminishing her involvement, although the credibility of the source is iffy(It's an anonymous comment in the Equestria Daily article). Apparently, she's been holding off on these news for quite some time if that's the case. And here's some stuff from a layout artist, apparently. http://www.allspark.com/forums/index.ph ... try1822766 So that's pretty much it. To be quite frank, I think that a lot of us are worried about Season 2's quality, even before this explosion of news from Lauren and some of the animators. It stands to reason that "any" bad news will send people flying into a frenzy. Personally, even if Faust retained her involvement at the same level, it still would not convince me that Season 2 would turn out amazing: reserve my judgement until I see the episodes myself. Although it is sad to see Faust step down to quality control, it doesn't hurt my expectations of Season 2 all that much yet. The writers and animators remain, so the show will most likely still be very entertaining. I think the only thing that could really send my heart racing would be if a major character changed voice actor. I never want that to happen...although if it had to be done, I would prefer a voice actor change than pulling the show's plug, like they did with Reboot (Oh God WHY).
  19. A lot of unexpected stuff for the finale, although even this episode got a few shortcomings. PROs: -The Cinderella intro was nice, although it got confusing when the horse/mice got introduced - does this mean that horses are not human-like in pony world? -AJ pointing out that the ponies are generally naked was quite humorous. Rarity must be the strange one for saying that they were still dressing up to Spike. JUST ABOUT EVERY CREATURE IN THIS SHOW IS NAKED, RARITY! -The song "At the Gala" was great, definitely fitting for the finale, although I'm not sure if it's my favorite yet. -Pinkamena Diane Pie's hair always fits her mood, styling it down while happy only worked for 2 seconds before it re-inflated. -Trollestia confirmed, even if it's not at the level of the fandom's interpretation. -Derpy was at the Gala. I just wish Dinky was there too. It would have made me HHHNNNNGG until I exploded. Twice. -2 Wonderbolts unmasked: Soren (Male) and Spitfire (Female). They don't have much development but they have a starting ground ready. Although it feels they should have recognized Dash a bit more: didn't they spend a day with her? Or was it the other members that Dash spent the day with? -Rarity was amazing in this episode. Probably her best episode yet, even though it was supposed to be focused on everypony. I especially loved it when Pinkie pointed out she lost her shoe (Another Cinderella nod), and promptly went back to crush it. -Spike was great too, even if he was absent for a fair portion of the episode. MEHs: -Angryshy was ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS, BUT it was WAYYY Out of Character for Fluttershy. I can see it being plausible, since this was supposed to be the BEST NIGHT EVER and she might have overhyped herself, and that being dejected by animals might have taken a toll on her sanity, but it feels that she jumped from "Patient, Caring Fluttershy" to "Angry, Greedy Fluttershy" a bit too quickly. -Prince Blueblood turning out to be a giant, narcisstic ass made some absolutely hilarious scenes, like the one where he used Rarity as a shield to the cake, but I feel that as a result, he comes off as having a really one-dimensional personality. It's not that bad a thing, but I hope that if he makes any future appearances, he'll be less self-centered. CONs: Twilight and Applejack were a bit neglected in this episode, I feel. Dash and Pinkie got a decent amount of air time, while Rarity and Fluttershy effectively stole the show. -The episode could have used a second part. This isn't that big of a con, but...well, see my next point. -This episode REALLY didn't feel like a proper conclusion of a season. It felt like "Yet another episode". In a way, this is a good thing, but if season 2 wasn't already confirmed by now, this would have left me with an extremely sour taste in my mouth, becasue it didn't tie everything nicely. That being said, I treat this episode like any other to me now...there's just a 7+ month wait before the next one. Overall, I plan on remaining loyal to my pony overlords until the next season. They gave me an amazing first season, and I trust they will give me another great one in time (And hopefully forever). I should really start up on drawing them.
  20. First time I tried it, I got Sweetie Belle. But then I used a different site in my second attempt, and I got Scootaloo.
  21. We actually saw a similar chase scene with Pinkie and Dash in Griffon the Brush-Off. She was only teleporting around back then. In this episode, we actually see her keep up on hooves.
  22. Great episode! Really predictable (especially since the game spoiled me the ending), but well-played out. PROS: -Excellent reaction shots -Everypony used -Gummy's presence over the entire episode -New Pinkie stuff: She's capable of keeping up/outrunning Dash (Or bending reality so that she can), can actually get tired and her hair is apparently defined by her mood (Inflated = Happy/Insane, Flat = Grumpy/Insane). -Pinkie snapping. This is a bit early, but I think that instance where her eyes go derp will easily go down as one of the most memorable moments of this season. -Spike's interrogation was hilarious CONS: -Pacing was all over the place. Actually, there wasn't really a whole lot about this episode that "happened", so it gives off a vibe of being really cramped and short. -The "Letter to Celestia moment" was REALLY forced in this episode. I personally would have taken that moment out. -This episode is a reminder that this is the last one before the season finale. =( EXTRA: -This felt a lot like the prequel to a certain fanfic...I'm sure some of you know which one I'm talking about. Overall, though, a great addition to the season. Definitely surpassed my expectations. Now, the only question is... Is flat hair!Pinkie the REAL Pinkie? Afterall, it was how she was before she saw the Sonic Rainboom in her story (However credible it may be).
  23. So apparently, the owl's name is Owlowiscious. I've watched the episode a few more times. Delving more on my opinion of the owl, I think what disappoints me about him/her is that it is never explained how s/he forms a bond with Twilight. There's an instance where it shows him/her reacting to the night's cold, and I guess that could explain why they're together afterwards, but I'd be much more convinced if it was something like him being very hungry after meeting Twilight, and her feeding him: Cliched, but it's a common way to get someone to befriend a pet in shows. It's a bit disapointing to see them stumble on a character's natural motivations and interests now, because Friendship is Magic is doing a great job characterising ponies/creatures with as little as 5 seconds of air time...while Owlowiscious couldn't convince me of having any feelings and motivations after half an episode. As a result, s/he comes off as having a robotic personality: Never defying the orders of Twilight and never showing any other interests than obeying her. And there is no natural explanation (Staying inside because of the cold doesn't cut it for me) for why s/he is staying with her. Hence why Twilight feeding Owlowiscious would at least give me an idea of why s/he stays with her: for food. Finally, despite the awkwardness of the beginning, I still think it was one of the better parts of the episode.
  24. Since I now have a lot of time to spare, I can basically compile errors into neat little videos. This is totally not a shameless plug. My Little Bloopers: Mistakes are Forever! I think it's worth pointing out this game spoils a bit of the last 2 episodes. Episode 25 especially. Concerning the game itself, some of those differences are REALLY hard to catch. Some are "Durrrr", while others are "Wat". It also changes the chosen differences every attempt, so there is some sort of replayability to it. I don't know why, but I like screwing up just to see Twi and Spike's reactions.
