  1. I'd be happy to, also, if you need more, both characters are linked in my signature at the bottom of this post. Dusty is a pegasus stallion fairly average build, with a gray colored coat, similar to the color of gravel dust. His mane and tail are a slightly darker brownish gray, and are more often than not a tangled wild mess. The actual texture is soft, just very, very stubborn, upon being brushed its usually back to a tangled mess within a few minutes. His eyes are a vibrant light green color, and his cutiemark is a stylized picture of a map. He's also rarely, if ever, seen without his vest. its an old olive drab colored cargo vest, with several pockets on it. The fabric is faded and worn, and there are several rips and cuts in it. Still he's hesitant to do much without it, since it has a bit of sentimental value. Semolina is a earth pony mare with a build that leans more toward the thin side. She's got a clean white coat, usually well kept unless she's been working in which case she might have a little flour or dough on her. Her mane and tail are a light brown color somewhere between blond and brunette. She typically keeps her mane pulled back with a blue headband, and tied in a single thick braid, although there's one lock that she can never quite seem to get, and it typically ends up in front of her face. She keeps the braid largely for practical purposes, mostly to keep it out of the way when she's working. Her eyes are a deep blue with just a hint of purple in them and she's got faint freckles on both cheeks. Her cutie mark is a french baguette, broken in half with a swirl representing fresh aroma rising from it. Due to her handicaps she always carries a small green saddlebag with a spiral bound notebook and several pens in it, for when she has to communicate beyond simple gestures. Does all of that give you a fairly good idea of their appearances?
  2. If I understand right, you mean an RP that establishes a sort of central story for the character, something to take and say 'this is this pony's story' and use as an example of their character and personality, correct? Because that sounds like a pretty good idea to me. As for what the storyline of the RP could be? I suppose I'd have to see what everyone else wanted to do before coming to any real decisions myself, but there's certainly plenty of possible stories that could be done. If this does take off I could throw either one of my characters into the ring, both of them could do with some character development: Dusty Clouds basically needs to grow up a bit and find himself a proper career that fits his talents rather than just living day to day and dreaming of big adventures. Plus his near permanently messy appearance and somewhat impulsive personality might make for a good counterpoint to Crystal Semolina Flour on the other hand currently has no real friends, and essentially runs her small bakery by herself. Despite the fact that she enjoys it, she really does need to get out a bit more and meet some other ponies. Being a mute doesn't help much with that though. I don't really have that much backstory for either beyond whats on their profiles, but that just leaves it all open for exploration later. Do you think either of these two would be good for what you're looking for?
  3. I do like the idea of this. Is this gonna be a straightforward race (something like Ponyville to Canterlot) or something a bit more interesting (crossing mountain ranges/canyons ect) Either way it could be interesting. Count me in if we can get a few others! Should I use Dusty, or make a new OC?
  4. Dusty nodded at Dunder's orders, looking around the caverns. Picking up a pickaxe awkwardly he began to wander around the cave, pausing every now and then to look like he was doing work. His real objective though was to learn his way around this place, The many branching tunnels provided myriad places to hide and disappear, which might prove vital during any escape attempts. "It really seems to me like these gryphons managed to trick the diamond dogs." he said loudly. "The 'dogs could have had six tough strong workers, after all. What do the gryphons find for them?" He brought down the pickaxe for emphasis. "Four injured ponies."
  5. He nodded a bit, following along with her. It seemed like Ponyville was exactly what he'd expected from looking at it on the map; an inauspicious little town apart from the occasional building that was a bit of odd architecture. (why would you put a library inside a tree?) As he walked along with Insanity he kept an eye out for places to eat. "How about that place over there." he says, pointing with a hoof toward some sort of small cafe' identified by the waiter and several tables out front.
  6. He smiled a little and nodded, slowly starting to descend. "It can be, yeah." he says. "Sometimes its a bit of a pain too. Always fun trying to find your way around somewhere you've never been for the first time." he chuckles. He folded his wings up as his hooves touched the ground, just outside of the outskirts of town. Idly he looked about the unassuming small town with mild curiosity.
  7. "Oh, um yeah. I don't really have a specific home." he said. "I just travel around a lot. parcel delivery and stuff like that." He explains. "Usually I stay at an inn, or just find a cloud to chill on." He blushed a little bit, realizing he had essentially just confessed that he was homeless, before shaking his head. "But um, Ponyville just never really stood out to me, and Canterlot is well... its Canterlot, I'm too much of a scruffy ruffian for that." he chuckles.
  8. "Sure." He replied. "I think I'm good to fly." he gave his wings a few flaps before nodding. "Not gonna do anything stupid this time, I promise." he said with a slightly embarrassed chuckle. A few quick flaps and he was up in the air, following along with her as they headed back toward Ponyville. "I admit I'm not all that familiar with Ponyville. Or Canterlot for that matter." he said as they flew.
  9. "Please? It'd be my pleasure." he said, "After helping me out like this, I gotta do something to return the favor." He ate surprisingly quick, emptying the bag in a matter of minutes, before letting out a satisfied sigh. "Hmmmm needed that." He said, walking to the mouth of the cave and looking around. "So, if you don't mind me asking, do you not live in town?" he asked, gesturing in what he hoped was the general direction of Ponyville.
  10. Finally something seemed to stir the pegasus from his slumber, as his snoring abruptly stopped with an awkward snort. Slowly he blinked his eyes a few times before rubbing them with his hooves. Looking in front of him he saw the small bag sitting there. "Breakfast in bed huh?" he mumbled, slowly pulling himself up to a sitting position, wings stretching and many joints on his body giving off a satisfying pop. "You didn't have to do that." he says to her with a slight smile. "Thank you though." He reaches his muzzle into the bag, munching on a few. "Sorry about yesterday and all... Guess I really do owe you that meal now." he says with a blush and a chuckle.
  11. Dusty was still fast asleep, resting peacefully where he had lay down the previous night. He was fairly silent, apart from the occasional snore that escaped his nose. Somehow his mane and feathers looked even more ruffled and unkempt than before. Currently he was sprawled out on the ground, seeming perfectly comfortable with the floor of the cave.
  12. Dusty turned to her when he felt well enough to get moving again. Sure it was pretty late, but a town was probably safer than a cave out in the wilderness. Then he saw that she was sleeping, or at least trying to Deciding to leave her be, he returned to the spot he had been laying at earlier and sat down, watching the campfire for a while until he slowly nodded off.
  13. He nodded slightly, only really half hearing what she was saying. Not for wanting to ignore her, of course, but the effort of staying on all four hooves occupied just a bit more of his attention. Still her helping to support him was nice; her feathers were nice and soft. It actually made him a bit embarrassed, his own unkempt coat and feathers probably didn't fee nearly the same to her. "I-I think I got it now." he said, taking a deep breath and a few slow steps. If nothing else, repeated crashes like that had enabled him to recover fairly quick.
  14. "Yeah, stupid mistake on my part." he says, blinking a few times. After a moment he stood on shaky feet and took a few wobbly steps, "And I will be, once my head clears a bit. Just gotta get back on my feet and moving around a little. " He sounded optimistic, but not entirely sure, hoping that getting some blood flowing would help clear away the headache. "Where are we anyway?" he looked around, realizing for the first time that they were in a cave.
  15. Dusty groaned some time later, opening first one eye, and then the other. He blinked unevenly a couple times, looking around. "Murgh... " he mumbled incoherently. "Wh.... Wha happen?" he asked. Seeing a couple of campfires and a group of gold colored pegasi around him. Wait.. wait.. just one of each... Slowly his eyes refocused. "Ugh..... I guess you win the race, huh?" he said with a weak smile. Although to be honest his head was still screaming at him. He didn't feel any actual wound, just an all over headache.
  16. Dusty continued flying low, coming up out of the water and zipping over the hills. Still for all his perceived speed and flapping he wasn't gaining any distance on his friend. It was at this point that Dusty made the mistake of looking around to see where Insanity was. Mere moments after he spotted her, the young pegasus collided head-first with a rather thick tree, causing a resounding 'whump!' As he collapsed to the ground he was rewarded by a shower of leaves and a couple of not quite ripe yet fruit of some sort. It would have been hard for him to say what they were, since he was out cold.
  17. Dusty saw that she was gaining on him, so decided to give it his all, flapping as hard as he could. It didn't add too much to his speed, but the rush of wind in his face was pleasing. Looking down he saw that they were clear of the forest, now just rolling hills and the occasional tree or two down below. On a whim he rolled over to his left, dropping down low with a laugh. He descended till he was barely a yard or two off the ground, twisting and veering his flight path to stick close to the landscape while avoiding oncoming obstacles. This sort of flying always seemed much more entertaining to him than staying high in the air; it was just so much more fun! He grinned as he followed along the pathway of a stream, wingtips just barely kissing the water and leaving a spray of mist behind him.
  18. He nodded, quickly rising up over the treeline and taking a look around. Thankfully with the sun starting to go down the town wasn't particularly hard to spot, lights from the various windows gave the town a pleasant looking glow. Looking over his shoulder at her he gave a playful smirk. "I'll race ya there!" he said with a grin. "Winner gets to pick where we eat!" Dusty was probably going to let her pick anyway; he didn't know much about the town, or where any of the places to eat were. She probably knew more about what was a good place and what was a bad one. Besides, he was pretty sure she was going to win, flying super fast or high weren't really his strengths. Still he flapped his wings as hard as he could, heading for the small town, and leaving what looked like a faint cloud of dust behind him as he flew.
  19. He nodded a little bit. "Besides I'm getting kind of hungry." he said, giving one last look around. "I dunno about you but a nice meal back in town sounds nice..." he smiled at her. "Care to come with? My treat." He had a little extra money on him after his last delivery, at least enough for a couple of nice meals on top of his usual travel expenses. He flapped his wings a couple times, lifting up off the ground, hovering low as he waited for her. Flying over and out of the forest would be much easier than trying to wind their way out after all.
  20. "Yeah, it is getting kinda dark out." he says, looking up at the slowly darkening sky. His ears perked at the sound of that howl, a low and mournful sound. That didn't bode well, if they were already being followed by wolves at this hour, nighttime would definitely be less safe. "Well... Do you think we should head back to town or something?" he asked, turning to face her. A part of him was itching to continue exploring, to see what sort of adventure could be found late at night here in the forest The rational part of his mind on the other hand was saying that was a very dangerous idea, and could end pretty badly. "It might be for the best if we go somewhere else."
  21. (I don't have any problems with that ^^) Semolina pondered for a moment, thinking over various rides she had passed. There were plenty that she had seen that spun ponies around, many in several directions at once. There was one however that came to mind that seemed to produce more dizzy ponies than the others. With a coy grin and a nod she packed away her notepad and gave a "follow me" gesture with her head to her new friend. Quickly she set off at a gallop which proved to be a poor idea when still in the Mirror Maze. After shaking away the dizziness of running smack into a transparent mirror, She carefully made her way out of the maze, being sure Rappatat was with her the whole time. She led her to a spinning ride that seemed to be spinning ponies every which way, the air filled with delighted and terrified shouts and screams. The best part was, most of the ponies who exited seemed to be smiling, but very dizzy. (also a few who were a tad nauseous.) Semolina turned to her friend, grinning as if to say "hows this?" (I almost wanna think its the pony equivalent of one of these: http://www.joyrides.com/cedar_point/photos/chaos.jpg )
  22. hm. sleep is sounding mighty good right about now.

  23. Dusty was fairly pleased with himself, everyone's reactions were exactly what he had expected. The gryphons were caught off guard and upset, and the diamond dogs definitely seemed thoughtful about it. Best of all, the other ponies seemed to understand what he was trying at. He wished that the situation would simply have broken down right then and there, but that was probably too much to hope for. As it was, their current situation seemed much more favorable, with only two guards keeping watch over the inside of the mine. At the dog's orders he started walking, looking around the mine slowly and carefully, mapping it all out inside his head. "Dunder, Midnight," He said, quietly, calling to the two ponies who seemed the most in on his plan. "Best i can guess, my little speech there caused a lot of doubt. I don't know how long it will last or how effective it'll be." He glanced over his shoulder at the guards, being sure to keep walking and look busy. "The gryphons are definitely gonna try and run some damage control, If we want out of here we gotta work fast."
  24. If you're still looking for ponies, go ahead and sign both of my characters up for it!
  25. Dusty smiled a little as he trotted down to the edge of the water. He'd heard stories about the sort of things that lived in the Everfree though, and decided it would be prudent to not go any further into the small placid lake. Taking a look around he saw the the trail led off in another direction, following the stream that fed this little lake, beyond that the forest seemed as dense as ever. maybe the animal life was starting to wake too, he could feel eyes on him. Or that might just be Insanity; she seemed to be watching his every move as if he'd done something wrong. Idly he picked up a small flat stone in his teeth and tossed it, skipping it across the water a couple times before it sank.
