  1. As soon as Sourgrape began to relax, she listened to the wind, and a certain tone of noise began to catch her notice. Like something was getting closer at a high speed. Closer.... Closer... closer still... WHOOOOOOOOSH~ The sound was enough to take the purple mare by surprise. Her wings sprang out to cover her head as the leaves whooshed all around her, until all she could see was leaves. Leaves everywhere! "What on earth~?!" She called out, her voice muffled by the pile of leaves that completely covered her. Sourgrape heard a voice appologising. She poked her head out of the leaves to see the white colt circling above her, her face still stunned and slightly confused. "Er. It's okay amico, I got it." Sourgrape responded, standing up and raising her wings. In one strong flap, the pile exploded in to colour, and she stepped out, shimmy-ing herself and folding her wings again to get the remaining leaves off of her. "You gave me a big surprise seniore." Sourgrape spoke up, looking up again at the mare. "I enjoy looking at the leaves by all means, but I didn't expect to see them so up close and personal."
  2. The cold winds blew through the air, indicating that winter would soon be on its way. The Vineyards had done with the heavy work of planting and storing away the crops, and Sourgrape had found herself with the very rare occasion that she had some time to herself. (Plus her parents had insisted very sternly that she spend some time away from the vineyards and she wasn't going to argue.) Sourgrape tucked her wings tightly in to her sides and gave a shiver as another autumn breeze wooshed by, littering the ground with various shades of orange, red and brown. She hummed a soft melody under her breath as she watched the colours fill the air. She had barely the time to witness such peace and quiet, and had not taken the time before to really take in the world she saw outside of her working schedule. 'Work....yes...work.....' Sourgrape thought to herself. Her mind soon became a mess of worries. Had she made sure the vineyard workers got their schedules? Had she made sure the sprouts were all locked safely in the greenhouse?....Had she.... Sourgrape shook her head vigorously as she tried to erase such thoughts. Her parents had told her that they could manage, and she trusted them enough to take their word. It was their vineyard, and they knew what was best. The purple mare came to a bench, and jumped up on it. She lay herself down and took the weight off of her feet for a spot of pony watching. The stoic mare sighed and took in a breath of fragrant autumn air.
  3. Sourgrape was about to get back to work, until she heard a voice adressing her. She turned to see Dunder Blust stood near her. She blinked and looked thoughtful for a moment as she took in his question. "Well Seniore, we're always looking for people to help, but wouldn't you rather enjoy the festivities?" she asked, looking at all the stores filled with food. Sourgrape wasn't going to say no if he insisted, and knew there were baskets still available for him to use. He looked like he had a strong set of wings on him, and could be of use on the higher vines. With a swish of her tail, Sourgrape turned around and went in to the barn again, returning with another set of baskets. "Try these on for size." she said, as she placed them on the ground in front of the Stallion.
  4. Sourgrape looked down at the form in front of her hesitantly. Her mother insisted that she somehow take her mind off work, and she had suggested that she try find herself a Mare to spend time with. "Tch...but mama...." she huffed, only to be given a pleading look from Chardonnay. "I suppose... what harm can it do?" Sourgrape shrugged, before she was left alone to fill out the form. Name : Sourgrape Gender : Mare Gender preference (Optional) : Stallion Location : Canterlot mostly. But I do travel around on a day to day basis. Age : Young Mare Species : Pegasus Species preference (Optional) : I don't find this important. Cutie-Mark (Optional) : Two green grape bunches with juice droplettes. How would you describe yourself, physically? I have a dark purple coat, and a green mane. I am quite tall, and have a large wing span. My eyes are a dark lilac colour. I am relatively thin, but I am told to be a lot stronger than I look. Working in the Vineyards has made me fit as a fiddle. How would you describe your personality? I am a hard worker. I am rather quiet, and am told I tend to appear rather stoic. Please don't let this put you off though. I am very friendly once you get to know me! What things in life are important to you? Nothing is as important to me as my family. I also take my work very seriously, as it keeps hay on the table. Seeing customers happy is also a very wonderful thing to me. What's your idea of the ideal first date? A nice, informal day out to unwind would be nice. Nothing too fancy though. Sitting down to lunch to get to know each other would also be a fantastico afternoon and (wings permitting of course), a nice fly around to burn those callories off. What are you looking for? Hmm. Someone who is easy going, and fun to be around to help keep my mind off worrying about work. Someone who is full of surprises, and doesn't mind travelling around a lot would be nice. I also wouldn't mind if they had a fine pallet, and passion for food! Anything else you think we should know? I am of Itailian heritage, but I was born and raised in Canterlot. I can speak both languages rather fluently, but I do tend to cross them from time to time, and occasionally tend to confuse people. Please be patient with me.
  5. Ah, the Charlot vineyards. Famous for its vast rolling hills full of grape vines, olive tree's and paddocks. In one of the feilds, stood a giant, magically grown vine, that stretched far in to the sky, and dissapeared in to the clouds, where a variety of magical berries and fruits grew with the pure moisture of the clouds. A quaint building lot stood on the edge of the vine feilds where much of the yards production and commercial stages took place, and also acted as home for some of the Ponies that worked there. Sourgrape trotted down the path, returning from one of the bustling grape feilds. A large basket of freshly picked grapes hung from both sides of her back, protected by her large wings that folded neatly over them as a temporary ballance support. Some of the other workers flitted back and forth, chatting happily amongst themselves. Today was a special day. Her parents had had a good buisness year, and to celebrate, they had decided to open up a promotional sampling day, inviting everyone to visit the farm, and try out free samples of the products they had grown, or produced with their buisness partners. Of course, there would also be live presentations and displays on how the products were produced. The stomping room was open for the day, and there were tours running around the lots. While this event was on however, it wasn't a chance to stop working. They were still struggling to get this seasons harvest in, and volunteers were widely appreciated. Sourgrape trotted in to the main courtyard, where it was a little hard to move for all the ponies wandering around. She made a beeline for the storage barn. "Only ten more rows to go." Sourgrape thought, with a look of very serious determination on her face. She stretched and gave her wings a shake, before folding them again and then ducking in to the barn, returning moments later with empty baskets. She took a moment to look around the crowds before she returned to work.
  6. A young, green maned mare trotted through the town. Sourgrape was on her runs in the area, and she couldn't help but notice all these flyers and posters about an... "International day?" she murmured to herself curiously, as she stopped to get a closer read at one of the posters. "Ci. Mama and Papa would like the sound of this." Sourgrape shrugged, as she looked in both directions, before taking the poster down, and putting it in her saddlebag amongst her bags of samples. Sourgrapes parents were both a rather patriotic set of Itailian Ponies. If they heard about this, they would go crazy mad with glee for such an oppurtunity. Sourgrape decided to go and take a look at the cafe. She was surprised that she hadn't regularly visited it on her rounds around Ponyville. Maybe she would get a chance to set up some form of partnership, or at least a couple of orders from the vineyard if she played her cards right. After a breif walk, the cafe was in sight. "Ah. Bene." Sourgrape sighed, pursing her lips as she approached, and entered. The cafe was quaint, and the atmosphere was nice, but very... quiet. That's when the mare noticed the presence of Princess Cadence. Her eyes widened and she glanced around, before inching a few meters away from the door. Royals made her nervous. She was never sure how to act around them. Sourgrape stood quietly, feeling quite the awkward duck.
  7. Thank you for letting me know Blackberry. I went ahead and fixed it. c:
  8. Wow... dat nose! xD Well, I hope everything is in order for her to be accepted.
  9. Ahh right! I see. With me, it was the original Polly Pockets, that ironically enough, either didn't have hair, or not enough hair to brush. xD I remember the care bares too, but I was a 90's kid more or less. I grew up with Land before time, Rosy and Jim and old school Cartoon Network.
  10. The buck stops here. Get it? Because I'm a... Nevermind. I win.
  11. Ahh. Thank you~ Got it done. And lol, yeah, her original concept was kind of along those lines, but I thought I'd stick to a happy pony who just never learned to smile. I'm also curious as to where that character's from.
  12. Well, I think I'm finished on this one. Do I rename it some how, or just re submit this as finished?
  13. I've recently gone back to level crunching on my video games. Pokemon don't level themselves! Though I probably will go and rewatch season 1 again. I started watching the series in a funny order, so I've missed some episodes that I need to track back on.
  14. I find other fans hard to come across asides the ones in another rp group. I'm just wondering if Anypony here also enjoys this series? I like the classic and X series the most. Any other Megafans out there?
  15. I understand that there are different art styles in anime, but the big eyes and similar style traits in each series just get a little boring after a while in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I have my fair share of animes that I enjoy such as Hellsing, Megaman NT warrior, Medabots etc. I always feel that western cartoons tend to always look that bit more different from one another, and I like the sense of visual uniqueness you get that comes with each one.
