Firstly, I'll ask you if this thread influenced your decision to help the spider out of the house. Secondly, when you say "smooshed", did you mean that you killed the spider, or the kitten?

Buzz cocked his head at Knights expression. "Uh, sorry, I didn't mean to intrude" Buzz allowed a moth to land on his hand. "I can't talk to all animals though, only arthropods and a few other things people might consider 'bugs'. Anyways, this will be simple. I'll give you this moth, whisper anything you want to it, and I'll be able to ask her and repeat what you said" He held out the insect for Knight to take. "Sound good?"

Is this really the only way? If your having trouble running it, maybe you could look for some other people to turn it over to.

Buzz smiled. "The spider forgives you, and apologizes for biting your hand" Buzz set the spider back on the window sill. "Before you ask, yes, I can talk to insects and spiders. I can prove it if you want"

Buzz crouched down and allowed the black widow spider to crawl back onto his hand. He turned to Knight, "I don't mean to sound silly, but you should apologize to the spider Knight"

I don't mean to shamelessly self promote, but if you have any kind of fear related to insects and spiders, might I suggest you visit my bug thread? Fear is very often derived from a lack of knowledge or clinging only to a certain fact (example, When Many people think of spiders or wasps, they only think about them having fangs or stingers) Taking time to learn more about our fears can very well help us realize that what we were used to be so afraid of, is actually hardly dangerous or not even threatening at all! I'm always talking about all sorts of bugs and I very often take requests. If you'd like to debunk your phobia of creepy crawlies, I urge you consider it an option at the very least.

Squishy noticed the new pony enter the room. He waved his forearms and speaking a little to loudly said, "Hey, new pony. Are you the baker?"

Uck, that would of been so much better if I had access to the font modifier that I don't get on mobiles... Nevermind, I don't deserve to play as a dragonfly because of that.

I thought that... So, do I have to be a canon pegesus? Could I perhaps be a noncanon pegesus? Do I have to be a pegesus? I dunno I was just thinking... On a whim... I could play as a, oh I'm not sure, a giant talking dragonfly?

No no no, I know that bugs are a common creature concept. What I meant was that insects or spiders don't seem to be portrayed as "good guys" very often.

Knight was getting a bit frantic now. "Woah, woah. Easy there big guy" Buzz said waving his arm a bit.

Buzz joined him in his laugh. "I haven't, shoot" He said.

Buzz smiled. "That's right Knight, and it's run by super intelligent octopuses that disguise themselves as humans. Some of your closest friends or family may be octopuses" Buzz paused a bit. ​In a more malicious tone, he added, "Maybe everyone except you, is an octopus..."

"The good news is that your spared a painful, venomous bite that would include severe muscle cramps, abdominal pain, weakness, and tremor. It wouldn't be fatal, your a young, fit, and healthy boy. Deaths rarely occur, and when they do, it's almost always either the elderly, or very young who's immune systems aren't as strong as they would be in their prime years" Buzz explained.

Buzz snickered a bit. "Well, the bad news is that you don't get to boast about surviving black widow venom. This is a dry bite, meaning that no poison was injected"

Buzz examined the wound. His knowledge of insects and spiders would put most adult entomologists to shame. He smiled, "Well I've got good news and bad news, which do you want to hear first?"

"Oh dear..." Buzz said frowning... "All spiders are poisonous my friend. The black widows bite is renowned for being fatal, but this actually hardly the case. Let me have a look at that bite please"

Buzz held up his finger. "Actually black widows aren't the only spiders who eat there mate, which also doesn't happen every time" Buzz held his hand to a nearby open window. Before long, a black widow spider crawled onto his hand and held it up to his own face. "It's too bad really, they get such a bad rap that they don't deserve"

Buzz added in, "If you want, I can get a black widow spider to guard your bag when your away. Then we leave a note saying, 'open at risk of excruciating pain'. I've done it before, it's as effective as it is amusing"

"Oh" Squishy said. "Which one is the baker?"

"It's for when he's spray painting, so he can comfortably breath amongst the fumes, that's what you said, right?" Buzz said for Tag "It does look pretty cool doesn't it? What's up? My names Buzz and this is Tag"

On second thought... Buzz decided to pretend that Tag meant that to be a joke and hope it got better from there. "Aha, that's funny" He said giving him a light pat on the shoulder.

"Hey" He said. "Nice job on the karaoke, it's good to see you coming out of your shell" Buzz flashed a smile, maybe all these shy campers wouldn't be so bad after all.

Ever since Squishy caught glimpse of pony society one month ago, he has been enamored and has been thinking day and night about how great it would be to be part of. It hardly occurred to him that a giant, talking, twice the size of an average pony praying mantis wouldn't be considered "the norm". Actually, no. It didn't occur to him at all. He barely knew anything about ponies. He was a friendly, optimistic, predatory creature who grew up in the Everfree forest who couldn't bring himself to eat anything that didn't try to eat him first. And he was about to try and integrate himself into equine society. He was about to become the new definition of "screwed". With a loud "wump" noise, he landed in front of Moonlight's bakery. He had to crouch down in order to fit himself through the door. With a cheerful voice, he greeted everyone in the room. "Hello ponies! I would like to purchase some pastries please!"
