1. Name: Crystal Cove/ Soul Slasher Sex: Male Age: Stallion Species: Pegasus Nationality: Coltaran Organization: The Night Children Social Class: Former High Blood Eye colour: Silver Coat colour: Taupe Mane/tail: Light Beige Physique: Lithe Cutie Mark/Destiny Mark: Black, red, and gold demon with a scythe. Origin/Residence: Formerly Ashen Gate/Wanderer Occupation: Assassin Personality: Enjoys death, but not killing. He believes that death in service of a cause is the greatest honor. Patient, calculating, and ruthless (to a degree). When on a mission he is but a shell of himself, but when he's not advancing the Night Children's goals he allows himself a somewhat normal life. Family: Only son of the pegasus Honor Bound, a highly respected general of the EVA. His mother died giving birth to him (His mother named him with her dying breath), causing his father life long grief. Honor Bound blamed his son for the death of his wife. This lead to Crystal Cove being neglected and abused by his father. His father is now deceased, slain by Crystal Cove's blade. Background Story: His early life was hard, the beatings and the emotional neglect made him a very withdrawn colt. One day, when home alone, the Crystal Cove picked up one of his father's regular short swords. He took to the blade like a dragon to the skies, he posed and swung the sword around mimicking the forms he had seen his father practice. Happiness rushed through him as he went through the motions with the blade, "If only I was stronger, like dad, maybe he'd look at me, maybe he'd stop hitting me." He thought. Crystal Cove swung the sword at the door to his home where his father soon entered. He immediately dropped the blade and pleaded with the awe stricken stallion, he didn't want the pain to come, but it never did. Honor Bound grabbed his son up in a large hug and cried. "We have much to talk about son, I-I never knew you had such potential." From that day forward for the next 11 years Honor Bound took his son under his wings and put him through rigorous training, no longer were their beatings, now there were sparing matches; No more neglect, now there was arduous exercise and bountiful meals afterward. Every moment of Crystal Cove's life was filled with happiness, his father loved him and that's all he ever wanted. His fighting skills continued to develop into it's own style, wide arcs and slow power strikes combined with pegasus agility, vicious hoof to hoof styles, and daft bladework. The result was an unorthodoxed style that was both hard to read, and hard to utilized because no training weapon truly fit with him. On his 16th birthday, during a sparring match with his father he gained the upper hand, he stared into his fathers eyes with a soul rending gaze and finally defeated his master. The moment his father fell defeated his chest burned with pride, he rubbed himself and looked at his chest, seeing his Destiny Mark he fainted on the spot. When he awoke He found his father knelt beside him and presenting the him with an aishanidari. "I never thought this day would come," he said as he raised the weapon to his son. Crystal Cove accepted the weapon, once in his hooves the weapon pulsed to life and shifted form into a great scythe, a weapon like nopony had seen before nearly It's pole handle was nearly as long as Crystal as was its blade. He prepared to think of his destined name, but his father stopped him. "Allow me son, from what I saw today I feel that the name Soul Slasher is perfect. Your gaze cuts into the souls of stallions and you ferocity in battle cuts into their hearts, now you have a blade worthy of your skill in which to reap your enemies with." Crystal was immediate enlisted into the army and was soon in service directly under his father. Most of the time it was boring inane duties. But when Crystal was twenty the largest rebellion the empire had ever seen erupted and he fought side by side with his father on the frontlines. For three years they slaughtered rebels rebels back to back as father and son. He believe in the empire. One day during a purge while they looked for Night's Children he actually looked at what he was doing, these were unarmed citizen, he didn't even know if any of them had done anything wrong. Night's Children was the alleged villains, so why were the heroes the ones committing mass murder? He couldn't do this, he wouldn't. He voiced his concerns to his father, he was rewarded with a back hoof and harsh words for his trouble. He pushed back this time, he was no foal his father would not force him to do anything. The argument turned into an all out fight between father and son, blades clashed and blood was spilled but in the end the elder won out. She was sat down, bloody and beaten in front of his comrades and friends and berated by his father. Honor Bound held Souls Slasher's own aishanidari to his sons throat and whispered in his ear "You killed her - I brought you into the battlefields to watch you die, but It seems that I get do the honor myself." Wide eyed Soul Slasher closed his eyes and let the tears stream freely, he was resolved to his fate. "What have I been fighting for?" He asked himself as his father slide the scythe blade across his jugular. As he felt to the ground, life fading from his eyes quickly, he re evaluated his life. The one thing he had always wanted, that he thought he had, never existed and was unobtainable. He'd lived a lie, all his heart desired now was to reap his fathers eternal soul. His father left his lifeless body there in the middle of the purged town. That day proved that aishanidari and pony could be more than just weapon and wielder. The bond he had with his aishanidari and the magic within the weapon stitched his wounds just enough to keep him alive. Hours later he awoke, the memory of what had happened rushed back to him, bringing the tears with them. He ran over to the house where they actually did find evidence of Nights Children and poured through books and notes until he found the Night Children's summoning ritual. He didn't care if his reasons were selfish all he wanted was revenge. He drew his own blade and slashed his wrists and quickly made the circle for the ritual. A darkspawn appeared before him and put Soul slasher through the binding vows of the Night Children. 1. I swear to serve the Great Lord in life and death. 2. I swear to uphold the laws of the Children, and denounce my previous oaths. 3. I swear to never tell the secrets of the Great Lord and the Night Children. The vows made, and the necessary information passed down the darkspawn was dispelled leaving Soul Slasher to pass out. A week later he attended his first gathering attended, yet his status was not unknown and he was tasked with assassinating General Honor Bound. He took this task with bright eyes, eager for his revenge. He met his father in the dead of night in their old home. He attacked the general head on and dueled him to a near stalemate. He locked eyes with his father and the old stallion froze, and in that moment of hesitation Soul Slasher decapitated him. He hung Honor Bound's corpse from the house for all to see, he had his revenge. He had no home anymore and he definitely couldn't return to an honest living in the, so her went underground and traveled constantly, answering the Night Children's call whenever he heard it. They weren't mindless killers like the army and from the Specter didn't command entire races to be killed off or persecuted. So he contributed to heartily, even if all he could donate was bodies. A year of service later he found himself on a mission with the target being an imperial family member, a mare who specialized in advanced runecasting, who allegedly had access to a vault containing the two Likael'Maga. This however, was no more than an imperial ploy to draw out the Night Children. Soul Slasher ambushed the noble mare, who revealed the entire plot to him stating that she did only to protect her daughter who was a unicorn. While talking to the mare they were both ambushed by soldiers who declared her a traitor for telling Soul Slasher about the plan. The assassin killed soldiers and told the mare to tell him where her daughter was. She told him that her daughter was to being held at her home my the army. She lead him there an he slaughtered every soldier that stood between them. He released the young unicorn filly and watched the family reunite. His scythe pulsed with light while watching the two. A raven flashed into existence on the the pole of his weapon, At that moment he understood what he was fighting for. The noble grabbed her things and Soul Slasher helped her escape the city. They traveled for a week together searching for a safe place for them settle. During that time, as payment for his actions, the noble mare took Soul Drinker's aishanidari and carved powerful necromancy runes into it. Allowing it to live up to his masters name. He now had a blade that could drink the souls of those he fell, and recall them or their energies for his use. He found the family a home far to the north of the empire. He never learned their names. With his new weapon in hand he serves the Specter and reaps the souls of the corrupt empire.
2. Edit: I see from the beginning of the first RP that Stallier is both Darkwing and the Specter. For some reason I cant edit, but I figured it out. as you can see. But I still have questions. Also I have to ask, what exactly are the Baraki, some sort of canine like creature I assume right? So seeing as the dimensions are split are they what the Diamond Dogs were before all the split, seeing as they are the only possible canis race in this whole thing. As the the Night Children are they organized and if so how, who does one come into contact with to become affiliated with them and exactly what kinds of things do they do to further their goals? Also what do you consider spacial magic, since I think we have different Ideas of what that encompasses that or combined we both think it encompasses the same things. I'm a world builder as well so believe me when I say If I have a question It's coming out. Lol. I'm that guy in CIS 212 that asked a question everytime the instructor stops talking.
3. Oh wow this is so well thought out that have to be a part of this. I commend you on this lore, It's excellent feels like I'm reading a omnibus of collected canon from a novel series. So my question is who is the Specter? He wasn't mentioned in the lore story or did I miss something? I will make two characters when I have a free moment.
4. The sky is just so interesting today. Silver Charger thought as he tried to stave off the unbelievable levels of boredom he was feeling. The gem in his steam gauntlet pulsed rhythmically, catching the young stallion's attention. "Pfft! as if, you know me better than that Azumeril, beside the Izzet have more than enough people to act as steam pushers, they don't need me helping too." He rolled to his side to give his chest some small reprieve from the sun. He'd been lounging on the roof everyday for nearly a week, just watching the city. Niv-Mizzet hadn't given him any jobs lately and standard public works service didn't catch his fancy at all, so he ditched it at every possible turn. Down the ways was a bar that had been under construction for a bit, but now seemed finished and open. Well after seeing two ponies enter he assumed it was open. He rustled around on his jacket/makeshift blanket, trying to get comfortable. He brought his right hoof to his face just in time to see it once again pulsing to life. "Hmm, I guess you're right, I'm not doing anything better." The taupe pony stood up and dusted himself off and ran a hoof through his smooth light beige mane. He huffed into his goggles and cleaned them off with a small cloth. He stared at his reflection in the glass and gave himself a cocky smirk. "Looking good there." He said to himself. The gem on his gauntlet began to pulse furiously. "Shuddup! Who needs a marefriend, I've got better things to do." As if laughing the uncontrollably the gem began pulsing and flashing randomly. "Whatever, I'm headed to the bar." Sliver Charger Snatched up his leather coat and tossed on across his back lazily, unlike most Izzet he worn a half lidded expression and trotted with a gait that screamed 'I dont care'. His coat and goggles swished freely from side to side as he walked to the bar. He opened the door to the bar and scanned the the ponies inside. Not many were present; There was a stallion in armor with a spear and shield next to him, Obviously Boros; Then there was a cloaked pony who was helping a mare back up on to her stool, who could be either with the Cult of Rakdos or House Dimir; finally there was the mare, she was Izzet, he didn't recognize her, but it didn't matter to him. Most other Izzet League ponies though of him a pathetic loafer or a weirdo that spends his time talking to elementals anyway. The scene was amusing to him and he had a good laugh at the trying to figure out what the mare could've possibly thought was funny enough to fall straight of her seat. He trotted up to lazily and took a seat near the other ponies. "Just like me to walk in after the joke," He said to others as he got comfortable.
5. I promise you I can't find it what section is it in? Edit: I found it! wow, didn't even know there was a section right there. Jump on in Ciraxis.
6. For anyone who's OC is going to be with Selesnya Conclave here is a list of some of their locals and philosophy. The Simic combine don't need 'immortals' in the natural sense they can transfer the entire essence of a person into another premade body with the use of cytoplast if they want. Also you can go people can go to the wiki which has links to stories and lore on the guilds at the bottom of their respective pages. What are you saying here? Did you make the thread?
7. It was indeed good, but it wasn't a tear jerker for me. Hospice, however, made me get up and leave the room on several occasions.
8. GearShift looked at the pony and could only sigh in her mind. If only ponies were like machines, I'd have this figured out in a heartbeat. She thought. "hmm. I'll leave you to your thoughts then." She continued to walk with the group but Neon's silent contemplation still seemed strange to her.
9. "Likewise," she said finishing up the shake. "Seems it's time to get this discussion on the road." GearShift fell in with Lore and Neon as they headed towards the sitting area. "You being kind of quite there Neon, what's up?"
10. Lunestia (Luna x Celestia) = kill with fire! ScootaBelle (Scootaloo x Sweetie Belle) = Sweetie Belle is best filly how dare they!? Celestia x Big Mac (I dont even...) Twilight x Rainbow Dash (I actually works, but I don't like it at all) Derpy x Anyone except for Dr. Whooves (because that's what the fandom has drilled into my head) Twilight x Chrysalis That's about it really...But all above ships need to sink to the bottom of the mariana trench then burn.
11. Alicorn has been drilled into my head, I can't lose the word.
12. Well this is what I have right now Name: Silver Charger Sex: Male Age: Young Stallion Appearance: Taupe colored coat with a dark beige mane and yellow eyes. wears Izzet League Attire. (Has a small steam pack on his side, a steam powered/gem controlled gauntlet on his left foreleg, and elegant form fitting light and dark striped burgundy body suit, a gold bordered blue and burgundy leather jacket.) Species: Earth Pony Physique: Average build Cutie Mark: Tangled ball of interlocking tubes with red and blue mana flowing through them. Origin/Residence: Ravnica Occupation: Aiding in the management of the systems that keep modern infrastructure and convenience up and running. Such as water and heating. Motivation: Loyalty to Niv-Mizzet, to bring enough glory to the Izzet League so that the general populace stops looking at them like over glorified mechanics. Likes: Learning about mana flow, studying machinery, doing things his own way, finding unorthodox solutions. Dislikes: Following orders as given Flaws: Impulsive, lazy demeanor Personality: Buries himself in work and talks to his weirds frequently earning him many funny looks. He is a loyal agent of Niv-Mizzert (even though he doesn’t always follow instructions given to him through the fire mind) and always gets his tasks done. Character summary: As a newborn foal, Silver Charger's parents abandoned and him to the care of the Izzet Guild Mages. The Izzet don't make the best parents but they make excellent teachers, as a young colt the league found that he had a talent for energy manipulation and conjuring elementals. Like all Izzet he is a master machinist and bright inventor, but his true talent is with the forces behind the technology. Energy dances at his hooves commanded the same one would command an automaton and the forging or elementals was as natural to him as breathing. Skills Niv-Mizzert took notice. Once he turned 18 Niv-Mizzet sent him on a mission, sabatoge the heating systems to cause a high profile cult building to burn down, the dragon's test was mostly for amusement he did not expect the youth to succeed. When he not only succeeded, but neutralized the Cult members that came after him Niv-Mizzet granted him entry into the firemind. Now performing public maintenance is but a cover, his real occupation is performing "fun" and "interesting" jobs for the dragon himself.
13. The light salmon unicorn, not wanting to be left out of the greeting, trotted up the the new unicorn. "Nice to meet you, Im GearShift." She said as she extended a hoof for a friendly shake.
14. GearShift nodded in acknowledgement to lore keeper and took the book in her magic. "Thank you." She listened intently at as Neon explained how to create glowstick gel. "Interesting, I wonder if I could store energy in crystals and create a 'crushed crystal gel' to just as a power transfer medium..." Neon Bright's rant sent GearShift into full inspiration mode. She'd been told by many that the words that started to pour from her mouth when she was excited by a discovery didn't even sound like Equestrian anymore.
15. I planned on turning this into a thing, a big thing so that Is definitely a possible plot - point. As for Sorin, if you mean Sorin Markov the vampire planeswalker, he helped seal the Eldrazi so Im sure he's not evil, morally questionable maybe. But what you did describe sounds like something Nicol Bolas would do. All of these ideas being pitched are actually starting to form something coherent in my mind. - I would like there to already have been pony planeswalkers before, but they kept Equestria secret for along time (Gives us a reason for there to be ponies on other planes already). - Some sort of magical mcguffin in equestria which is the key to our protagonists journey (best thing about MtG books is the planeswalking, they go to several different worlds I want to start outward and come in to equestria). - I try to avoid making Twilight a planeswalker, but I might. I'm thinking that a planeswalker (probably Bolas, because he has the resources) has several of his agents search for clues to find artifacts called the catalysts (which turn out to be the elements of harmony). The EoH are the keys to an ancient mana vault that he can use to obtain a sizable chunk of power. The story will go across several planes as the protagonists search for clues and try to survive the threats and manipulations that Nicol Bolas throws there way. - I have a single OC at the moment (Silver Charger of the Izzet league), but I need 1 maybe two more since in the newer novels the planeswalkers have at least two other planeswalker allies.
16. Count yourself in then! Something from Urza would make a decent MacGuffin. But in the good name of continuity I just couldn't, I've read 5 of Urza's books and I know how the whole thing between him and Phyrexia ended. So, in good conscience, I just couldn't use him. It's really is hard to figure out something protagonists and a villian would be interested in. Especially when they are in different realities.
17. "I'd like to give it a look through first." She absolutely loved the idea of new study material. "Hmm, I can see how that would be a problem," she said while tapping a hoop on her chin. "I'll keep you in mind." She said looking at Neon. "Wait, you sell glowsticks?" GearShift's face held a half smirk, she wasn't sure why she was surprised by the information, even though she saw it coming a mile away.
