Starshower stepped into the store carefully. She felt mildly ashamed of herself, having never even been here, though she had lived in Fillydelphia since she was a foal. As soon as she stepped inside, she was immediately uncomfortable. There were too many other ponies in here. She seriously considered retreating out the door - Luna forbid she ever have to deal with a social situation - but two things kept her from turning tail and dashing back out the door. One was the thought of what these other ponies might think of her, after suddenly appearing and then disappearing in the doorway. Starshower spent such a small amount of time actually within the city she lived in that she had no idea what her reputation was like, or if she had one - but if there was a reputation to be stamped upon her, she had a feeling it wasn't a positive one, and if there wasn't, she certainly didn't want to cause one. The other reason was that the smell in pastry store was absolutely fantastic. If it were her choice, she would spend all of her time in her study out in Saddleveil plains, but she had to return to town for food every once in a while. This store seemed to be a great choice for grabbing some fast breakfast. She just wished that it weren't so occupied at the moment. "I'm sure they'll go away soon," she mumbled to herself, hovering nervously near the door.

I wasn't aware of that! If that is the case, I'll make it a point for her to pursue visiting there if this application gets accepted. If she hasn't visited there already, it's most likely because she's a little shy of handling settings or situations she's not familiar with, i.e. visiting a different city, especially by herself.

[ Pony Related Character ] Name: Citrus Fizz Sex: Male Age: Young stallion - probably 19 or so Species: Unicorn Pelt Color: Very, very pale green #edf4c9 Mane/Tail Color & Style: Mane and tail are mostly a dusky teal color (#566d7f). Mane is short and silky, tail is very long and full, oftentimes spiked. Both have amber streaks (#cfad00) that have been dyed in. Eye Color: Amber, same as mane and tail streaks Cutie Mark: Cross section of a lemon Physique: Tall and lithe. When he's on duty mixing drinks, he wears nothing. When he is off duty at a club, he generally has a row of colorful glow bracelets up his forehooves. When he crossdresses, he also adds a skirt, a short cropped jacket, a couple of clip-on earings, mascara, and a sometimes some sort of cute clip to his mane. Residence: Fillydelphia Occupation: Drink mixer at a dance club called the Gilded Trough. (nonalcoholic drinks of course) Motivation: Citrus really just wants to enjoy life, live in the moment, and watch other people be happy. He obtained his cutie mark when he won a lemonade stand contest at his school when he was a slightly older colt. His goal in the contest was not to win, but to formulate the most perfect balance of ingredients to create the most pleasing lemonade, for the pleasure of his classmates. His incredibly sensitive taste buds allowed him to create the perfect drink and win the contest unanimously, but it wasn't until the after-party, when all of his classmates (including his competitors) came together to enjoy his creation, that his cutie mark appeared. His passion in life then on was to create delicious beverages, for they had the power to bring ponies together and to form friendships. Likes: Lemonade, citrus fruit and drinks, cold food, summertime, pony-watching, upbeat music, talking to strangers. Dislikes: Hot coffee and other hot drinks (they just taste odd to him), Chocolate (it doesn't go with citrus very well), emo or depressed people (he doesn't understand how anypony could consider unhappiness to be in fashion, and he hasn't ever dwelled on any sort of self-pity for more than an hour or so), salt licks, cold weather. Character Summary: Citrus Fizz, who responds to Citrus, Fizz, or Citty when he's crossdressing, was born to a pair of very rich, liberal-minded designer unicorns who encouraged him to be exactly who HE wanted to be, embracing his bisexuality and love of transvestism. He thus grew up with pretty high self-esteem, and his parents are so rich that he doesn't even really NEED a job. He is, however, spoiled rotten, to say the least. Citrus is a pretty stallion who knows just how pretty and charming he is. His skills with talking to others are incredible, and smooth talking strangers is almost a hobby of his. He chats it up with everypony while he mixes and serves his fabulous beverages, talking without any inhibition. He has a smooth and calm grin that always seems to be stuck to his face. He is very outgoing to say the least. However, he tends to be a little blunt. His eloquence in every day conversation is a gift, with never a stammer, stutter, or misplacement of words ever leaving his mouth; as a result, he lets it all flow out. He speaks his mind, regardless of the positivity or negativity of the comment. Fortunately, negative thoughts don't enter his mind very often. Citrus is also incredibly impulsive. He claims that acting in the moment is what helps him to create the finest concoctions, because he has to make mistakes to learn. When he isn't on duty behind the counter, he is out mingling with other ponies in the club, talking to whomever suits his whim. His capricious tendencies show if you ask him about his past relationships and jobs. He rarely stays at a job longer than about a year, as he gets bored easily, with the same rule applying to his past fillyfriends (and occasional coltfriends, depending on just how he decided to be oriented at the time). Now that he's reaching stallionhood, he's managed to keep this job for a while, and enjoys the varying flow of customers so much that he plans to stay. He is a massive flirt. An occasional crossdresser, he will sometimes convince stallions at the club that he's a mare, and hit on them for kicks - but never takes these stallions seriously. Citrus needs to be wanted, and wants to be needed; these games are a strange way of confirming his own self-worth. Most of the mares and fillies who come to the club absolutely adore him, unless they bring their coltfriends, because he will immediately begin to hit on them. He hits on girls too, but in general they all know not to take him seriously. He may be a little vain, and he has some selfish tendencies, but when he finds that he cares about somepony, he's intensely loyal to them. The only reasons he is known to publicly display anger is if somepony he loves is threatened. When this occurs, he can become very sassy, and can unleash the most stinging of insults. If somepony he loves is actually physically hurt, his temper erupts and he has been known to become intensely violent, losing control of his actions. All in all, he has a good heart, despite his quirks.

Updated age - older filly is more accurate. She is a baker because, as you stated, there isn't much technology for astronomy, and thus not a job market for her, especially since she is an earth pony. She works at the bakery for convenience, to supply her with money for her HOBBY, stargazing, which she doesn't want to/doesn't really have the ability to make a career out of. Even if there was a career path for her in that field, she's still only about 17 or 18. Educating herself is her main goal, and she is still at a very early point in her life, so the bakery thing may not be permanent, depending on if she finds a job elsewhere later, one which better suits her interests. I removed the part in the application about her studying stars so far away, replaced with "spends hours reading and rereading books about the cosmos as Equestria knows them".

Updated, fixing the things mentioned. I basically rewrote the whole thing. Anything else I should fix?
