  1. "Well... I understand most of it, at least. What I don't understand I could figure out easily, given time and actual work conditions." Sparks smiled. "And... well, if you really are willing to supply the tools, as well as a rudimentary place to work, then I'd love to fix it. Unfortunately, I do not have anywhere to work... I am, unfortunately... erm, homeless, so to speak."
  2. Sparks gasped slightly in surprise at the sudden appearance of the Pegasus, but quickly regained his composure. He carefully took the watch from her. "Mm? Oh yes. Very fine. Very nice machinery and all..." he said, inspecting the broken parts, sighing. "I probably could fix it myself, but not in these conditions... I have no tools except this-" he lifted his screwdriver using his horn, "- and it hasn't proven useful in the slightest. Ah well. I suppose its a lost cause." He sighed again, looking up from the watch to the Pegasus, and then back to the watch. "I suppose I'll have to dispose of this... mess."
  3. Gears "Sparks" Clockwise sat in a dark ally in between two shops in the Rasya district, obscured from the sigh of any ponies passing on the main street. It was roughly midnight, and as usual, he found himself unable to sleep. Instead, he was fiddling with a typical wind-up watch, holding it in his hoof, a tool levitating in front of him due to his Unicorn Magic. The clock had broken several nights ago when he had dropped it into a puddle of water, and he had been trying to get the intricate gears inside working every waking hour since. He continued to fiddle with it for a good hour before he shoved the tool into the gears a bit too hard, causing a spring to bounce out of the watch. Sighing in frustration, he dropped the device, causing even further damage to it as gears spilled out, completely ruining the device. "Well. That's just... fantastic." He began to slowly gather up the broken pieces of the watch, grumbling to himself in frustration.
  4. I need people to RP with.

  6. Welcome. Welcome, to Canterlot. Its safer here.
  7. Ah, a European Brony. I lived in Germany for a long time, but I visited the Netherlands. Beautiful countryside, though I didn't care for Amsterdam much.
  8. Student at HEIDELBERG!? I lived there for THREE YEARS! Wie gehts?
  9. I honestly hated Chowder first time I say it too, same with Flapjack. It takes getting used to, but some of the episodes are pure brilliance. "WESSSSSSSSST"
  10. I joined the site. ^^
  11. I'm not sure if its my place to post here, but hang on a second. I read the rules, several times, in fact I just read them again, and it does say: "Violence/Battles/Fighting are okay in moderation." So um. Yeah. Again, sorry, just seeking some clarification there.
  12. People severely overreact with how "horrible" Cartoon Network was. Yes, the live action stuff is kinda horrible, but the cartoons themselves are still good. Adventure Time is one of the best things on air, and Regular Show isn't too bad, either. And I don't understand the hate Chowder and Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack got; Chowder was filled with hilarious references to other media and though it seems like a stupid show on the surface, there were a lot of intelligent jokes sprinkled throughout. Same with Flapjack, only doubly so; it seemed even stupider than Chowder, but ultimately wound up having more references and being more intelligent than Chowder.
  13. Hopefully my character gets approved by then! I'd love to participate!
  14. HALT! Hammerzeit.

  15. How about: The SuperAwesomeAmazingBestVlogEverOMG Nah, just kidding. PonyTales, or Pony_Tales, or something like that, could work though. Its times like this that I am grateful for my screenname- Chapien is NEVER taken!
  16. My 4th of July sucked. Fireworks are illegal in my county and I'm not really a patriot anyway. Ah well, it was an excuse to stay up all night and shoot some Zombies!
  17. I wouldn't want to alter anything major, lest I erase myself or others from history, so no killing Hitler or anything like that. However, I am completely willing with stealing Hitler's wallet in order to make his afternoon completely and totally miserable.
  18. This Day Aria seems to be the popular option, but I'm actually going to have to go with the Flim Flam Brother's Song! I just think it had the best chorus like, ever.
  19. Hello and Good Morning! Welcome to Canterlot.com! Please, enjoy some complimentary punch and cookies! They are by the door.
  20. This one is hit and miss, depending on how Pop-Culturally savvy you are. The SNL "Letter to my Sister" reference was hands down the BEST part. "Ooooh what you saaaayyyy~" The scene where Chrysalis defeated Celestia, and the music came in, is a reference to an SNL skit where whenever someone was shot, they'd fall in slow motion and that song would come in.
  21. But the problem is, our massive population contributes to our horrible pollution, particularly in overpopulated nations such as China or India. Population and pollution go hand in hand- we cannot solve one and completely ignore the other. It would be like attacking the symptoms of a disease but not the disease itself; taking cough drops will ease the symptoms of your cold, but won't actually solve your cold. Ejecting all of our trash into space will remove our pollution- for a time. The sheer amount of population we have is what is causing our pollution; take out the root cause, and then clean up the symptom later. And for the record, there aren't many scientific "laws", most things we take to be true are in reality theories. For example, it is called the THEORY of Gravity, the THEORY of Electromagnetism, the THEORY of Evolution, etc. The actual Scientific laws are few and far between; we simply assume the theories are true because there is often an overwhelming amount of evidence supporting them.
  22. Ah, okay! Great! Make sure to add that to the story, then!
  23. Hello and Good Morning! Wow, you really did consider my feedback! Great job, by the way. It really is a great back-story. However, as before, I do have a few questions I'd like to ask you. Earlier in your story, you mentioned that Black Sugar's dream was to own a candy shop; if this was the case, then why did she initially reject the offer? There are numerous reasons as to why she could have rejected it (nerves, for one), but it would be nice to know those reasons. It isn't anything really major, and to be fair you could probably do without this minor detail, but minor details like these really can and do flesh out characters! Other than that, I sincerely enjoyed reading your application and look forward to Role-playing with you!
  24. Good Morning again! Well, you know what they say; quality over quantity. It is a bit of a short background, I will admit, but something I've found is that a short background can actually be very beneficial. It means less of your character is set in stone, leaving you far more room to grow as a character during the actual Role-play, which I feel is one of the most vital parts of Role-play; Character development and growth, rather than just sticking to a particular mold. For what you set out to do, this is a great application! And I'm glad that I could help.
