  1. Last post for the night, so best not to reply to Clear unless you fancy waiting until tomorrow.
  2. I stand corrected. Sorry. I googled Goulash and most of the results looked very soupy. I suppose it must be one of those net terms that encompasses a wide range of food then.
  3. Hang on. Cookie, what are you cooking? Goulash is a stew isn't it? What's with the pasta and cheese?
  4. "Did somepony say cookie!" Clear shouted jubilantly as he flew over. His arms were still full of cupcakes. "There weren't any cookies at the snack table! I'll trade you for all these cupcakes!" Clear held out seven cupcakes of varying colours. Before Cookie could reply, Thyme ran over and knocked it flying. Snowy meanwhile grew to a phenomenal size and suddenly started spewing fire. "Actually, maybe I've had enough sugary treats. I think they're starting to get to me," Clear said wide eyed at the sudden spectacle of Snowy.
  5. Okay, Walker. Looking good. I'll be sure to message you when the rp starts up. Fern's an okay name. I suck at naming too, I mean Officer Shields? How generic. Also named my guns now because that was a brilliant idea, Thebluemage.
  6. Very nice changes WhiteSlash, now your character is oozing personality. I've updated his name on the list for you.
  7. It would help to mention a few areas you specialise in. I mean it's quite apparent that certain ponies specialise in certain skills from their backgrounds. But no, SPECIAL and particular traits aren't really necessary.
  8. Sure. The position yours if you want it. I'll add you to the list. Looking forward to the character app.
  9. Absolutely perfect, Thebluemage! I can see a bit of the Joker from Batman in him with his gentleman opinion of himself and squirty flower plus Harley Quinn. Added to the list. I'll message you when the six spots are filled. You can customise your appearance a bit more when you've left the vault if you'd like. Weapon names were a brilliant idea too. Very nice.
  10. Sketch noticed Zynk and Nemesis instantly begin to chat excitedly about yet more technobabble. He found mention of "The Ancients" interesting though. His mind still felt muddled from the presence of the pheromones in the air, even though he couldn't see Insanity. Deciding that currently he was serving no purpose in here, he picked up the tray of mugs and untouched plate of biscuits and retreated back to the kitchen. He set about washing up the mugs and making a new batch of tea. He was thinking chamomile this time. Something soothing. He hadn't been this stressed in months. So many things were happening. He nibbled absent mindedly on a biscuit as he heated up some water in a pan on the stove.
  11. Hey in my defence you couldn't expect a grizzled hothead ex-guard to live on cupcakes and punch. Any real stallion drinks whisky. I'm not a mod so I can't guarantee that'll happen! I was just making a suggestion. A suggestion that may or may not work. You monster!
  12. Okay. Great. Putting him in now. If we don't fill all the spots by next week, then I might promote Shields to an element and see if Soarin can add his own. Then we'll be ready to start.
  13. Okey-doke. That's looking perfect. All he needs now is a name. Now for my character app: Name: Security Officer Shields. A dark grey earth pony with a black mane and tail. Wears Vault 54 Security Armour that covers all but his face. Basically a vault 54 jumpsuit with an overlain stab proof vest that protects his vitals. A riot helmet sits atop his head with a plexiglass visor protecting his face. Black boots complete the look. Bio: Was assigned to the vault security team after his G.O.A.T. A fighter through and through who never shies away from a fight. As a security guard he's actually trained in the use of firearms, but has never used one as part of his job for anything but intimidation. Currently second in command of Vault Security, and serves the Overseer personally. Not a sneaker or a speaker, he excels at firearms of all kinds and with his baton. Unlike most security guards he is also comfortable with explosives. Can take quite a lot of damage without going down, and has a slightly more than rudimentary understanding of medicine. Primary Weapon: "Judge" His pride and joy. A 5.56mm pistol that chambers armour piercing assault rifle rounds. Is a dead shot with this and carries plenty of ammo. Secondary Weapon: "Jury" A very well maintained 10MM SMG that looks almost factory fresh. Melee: "Executioner" Security baton. Weighted at the end for an extra bit of kick. Also carries two frag grenades on him at all times, along with some stimpacks. Personal Perk: "Honest Cop" Does 5% extra damage against evil characters, but 5% less damage against good characters.
  14. Quick question for thebluemage, is Mojo's potion making equipment in her bags or in the caravan out back?
  15. Because it's absolutely necessary.
  16. A springy yellow earth pony mare trotted across the park, whistling a tune as she went. Buttermilk was having a good day. The bright sun shone happily in the sky while the light breeze tickled her long auburn mane. It was pleasant. By her side walked her golden retriever, a dog she affectionately called Zippy after his boundless amounts of energy. He seemed to be enjoying the walk as much as she was. Every so often he would bark happily and run off to smell some patch of grass or investigate an interesting bug before running back with his tail wagging. Buttermilk had brought his ball, but she had a favourite spot where she loved to sit as he played. Right under a large oak tree. Where some other pony seemed to be sitting right now. She stopped, suddenly unsure of herself. She always sat under that tree from 11 to 12. It was her spot. Dark thoughts began to enter her mind, but her sunny demeanour fought back and regained control. "Maybe he'll share!" She said excitedly to herself as she hopped over. Zippy barked happily as he bound over to the tree where he knew Buttermilk would sit. The friendly dog ran right up to the silver pony sat beneath the tree and barked excitedly. Buttermilk was close behind. "Mind if I sit here?" She asked sweetly.
  17. Watcher cocked an eyebrow at the DJ. That had been near enough half of the bottle that had dropped in there. *Then again somepony who frequents as many clubs as her is probably quite resilient.* He chided himself. Meanwhile Cloud and Gumbo had both trotted over. "I would offer you something to drink, but the last of it is now in the punch," Watcher said to the two ponies. "I stopped counting after twenty!" Clear laughed at Thyme's question. Spreading his wings he somersaulted over the snack table and landed back on his hooves again. A plate of brownies had attempted to hide from the manic stallion. "Come to Clear!" He shouted exuberantly as he snacked.
  18. Whilst he would perfect as a secondary character, all the elements are supposed to be Vault Dwellers. If you're dead set on this being your main character, then you can add a secondary character as the Element and have him killed off early on. That's the only way I can see this working. This is an amazing character though. I love the detail. I might have to make one of these for Security Officer Shields, although how big a role he has in the plot is still being debated.
  19. Sketch found himself forced into the role of guide as he led the two excitably chatting pony based lifeforms. *Were robots lifeforms? It has intelligent programming. It simulates life, but is it truly life?* Sketch shrugged as the prospect of a prolonged philosophical debate with himself. There were much better ways to spend his time. The two were now engaged in a degree of technobabble that Sketch didn't even understand. The two followed him regardless as they drew ever closer to home. A pressing pain in his lower back reminded him that he was carrying Grey's heavy bags, and hadn't worked out in forever. Sometimes being an artist/designer had its disadvantages. When he was engrossed in his work he had a tendency to miss meals too, so he wasn't exactly the healthiest of ponies. He looked up to see the house standing just up the street. He trotted up to it and stopped to turn to the two ponies who were still busily engrossed in their discussion. "We're here. I'm sure you both want to see Nemesis right away. He should still be in the front room with Grey Matter's avatar robot, Grey Steel, and a mare named Insanity Dash," Sketch blurted out the second there was a lull in their conversation. The two nodded in unison. Sketch pushed open the door and held it open as the two entered. "They're just in there," he said in his best hosting voice. "You can leave your bags here," he added politely as he levitated the cases he had taken and placed them on the floor, watching Grey Matter do the same. The two ponies then trotted into the front room. Sketch closed the door and followed them in. "Feel free to make yourselves at home. Can I get you anything?" he asked the room. He then noticed that Insanity was missing. A mixed cheer/sigh left his mouth. He actually wasn't sure how to feel. Once again he was confused and frustrated. The solution was clear. "Anypony want any tea?"
  20. Clear saw Thyme approach from the other side of the snack table. He had underestimated the amount of sugar in the cupcakes and was now on a ridiculous sugar rush. "HEYA THYME!" He shouted enthusiastically as he hopped around the table to stop right next to her. "You have to try the blue ones and the red ones and the green ones with the swirls but the pink ones are my favourite they're just absolutely supertastical!" Clear grabbed three more of the pink cupcakes and chucked them into his mouth before chewing noisily. "They're just so good!" Watcher took the flask back from Mojo and went to take another gulp when it was sent spinning through the air by an overzealous mare. By sheer coincidence it landed open in the middle of the punch bowl. "Oh that's not good," he said to himself loudly. The same mare then buried her face in the punch which was now mixed with the extra strong matured whisky. "Now it's slightly worse," he added. The mare then pulled out loudly and spun around. Watcher instantly recognised her as the celebrity DJ Pon3, or Vinyl Scratch according to her tax records. "And now it's the worst possible thing," he finished.
  21. The position of Generosity is open and ready to be filled. I'll write you in as soon as you've got the character sheet up. I'll make sure to pm you if or when all the Element spots are filled. You are welcome to add a second character at any time, although if you add them outside the vault they have to be a Wastelander obviously. Thanks for showing interest. And Cloud thanks for the application. It all seems to be in order. I'll be sure to message you too if we garner enough interest.
  22. Best to post it here, so that everypony else who joins knows at least the bare essentials for your character. It's hard to rp with somepony if you don't have a clue about their attitudes and physical description. It helps avoid awkward mistakes.
  23. When you want to start it, I'm in. Is this going in the 18+, the free-for-all, or the crossovers?
  24. Sketch took around half of the bags off of Grey and placed them on his own back. "That'd be great. It'll be fascinating to actually get to know how those robot ponies work. They are so impressive, did you develop them on your own?" Sketch asked as he worked. Once the bags were loaded he noticed that Grey Matter still hadn't replied, so he looked back up again to see yet another robot hobbling over from a darkened alleyway. This one seemed different however, the metals used looked tougher, and he swore he could pick up traces of magical energy coming from the machine. If it had been yesterday, then Sketch would probably have run away screaming. Today though, he'd already gone through the "Ah! It's a killer robot!" thing twice. This time he just couldn't be bothered. The robot introduced itself as Zynk and engaged Grey Matter in conversation.
  25. "It's a heck of a town. When you've got the time, I could give you a tour. For now though I think it's best to hurry on back to the house." Sketch suddenly stopped as once again his manners kicked in. "Oh, you've got a lot of bags there, do you need a hoof?"
