  1. Peppermint almost jumped out of her skin, having not been prepared for anyone to approach. Regardless, she maintained her composure and turned to face the stranger. "Well, I'm Peppermint. Folks call me Minty, if that's easier." she smiled, "Can I interest you in any mints? You won't find great minty flavours like this anywhere else, I assure you~!"
  2. Peppermint quietly yet briskly made her way into Ponyville, pulling a rather bulky yet antique-looking wooden construct on wheels along with her. The mint-green Earth pony's white and lilac neat and curly mane bounced as she trotted along the road, her curled tail following suit. On her face was an expression of content and subdued excitement. She pulled the cart over to a rather open and easily-accessible area in the centre of Ponyville, or at least that was where she thought she had arrived to in the town. Walking around to the side of the cart, she nudged the covers off and stood up up the shelves. On each shelf were several containers of small white mints. Each container was a different colour, and they were arranged in colour order. "Well, now to wait." Peppermint sighed to herself, before hurrying around to the alleged "back" of the cart and lifting up a small sign that read Mints! "It certainly seems like a nice place here... I wonder if the ponies are as nice as I've heard..." she wondered to herself, out loud.
  3. I was actually indifferent to that particular episode. After looking at it closely, I did see the flaws but it didn't really bug me much... although that episode doesn't sit too high for me. I liked the whole idea of the superhero, and everyone having something else to do with it, but it just seemed a bit drastic. Yes, RD is stubborn, but going so far as to turn on her in the space of about a day was a little much. Whilst there are some flaws if you look at it closely, I still think that this episode is neither the worst one to be condemned to the fiery pits of fiery-ness for all eternity, nor is it the best episode to be placed on a pedestal and worshipped every half an hour. All-in-all, it was a "meh" episode with "meh" writing and a lot of contradictions to itself. I almost couldn't help feeling sorry for RD, in a way. Instead of talking to her and trying to help directly, they just steal her self-esteem in order to break her down and reach her that way. It was a little over the top.
  4. I suppose it seems like a good idea. Maybe Hasbro ought to put up a tutorial to help all of us that want to make our own little spin-offs. I did see a few clips of MLP that people made themselves on Youtube, and I was throwing my money at the screen but nothing was happening. I, for one, would actually buy a handbook on it. Not even in secret, I'd parade it around Waterstone's/WHSmith/[insert bookstore here] proudly... unfortunately, I'm terrible artwork and a lot of things involving computers, so maybe they need a full, comprehensive guide. Of course, if a full tutorial/few tutorials on the matter, I know that I wouldn't be the only one utilizing it. They need to make one, now!!
  5. ...I create clones of Pinkie Pie. Should I be scared, or excited? Ah, well, let's go for excited. NON-STOP PARTYING ALL NIGHT, EVERY NIGHT!
  6. Yay~! I best get thinking... time to turn on the creativity tap and put a bowl underneath.
  7. Oh, thank you! I just need one more stamp to be able to RP now, right? I think that's the protocol, from what I've heard.
  8. Edited because I wanted it to be even more solid. I hope that clears it up a little bit~
  9. Diamond Tiara . She reminds me too heavily of a girl I used to know and despise, so obviously I'm going to dislike her. That, and I've always hated the stuck-up little-brat characters. And I'm not keen on Snips and Snails either. Snails I don't mind as much, but he does look a bit like an elf with those massive ears.
  10. No, no, you do not tempt fate! ...But to answer your question, total and utter bucking chaos.
  11. ...Well, no prizes for guessing who's feeling particularly stupid for not checking this beforehand.
  12. Roleplay Type: Equestria Mane RP. Name: Saffron Crocus. Sex: Female. Age: Young mare. Species: Unicorn. Coat Color: Dark beige. Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: Saffron has a fairly long and curvy mane that reaches just down to her shoulders and flicks out a bit at the bottom. Her tail is long, sleek and wavy. Both her mane and tail are jet black. Eye Color: Lilac. Cutie Mark: A lilac saffron flower lying on top of of a pile of powdered dark-red spice. Physique: Saffron is very slender and tall, and cares very much for her own physical health. Origin: Fillydelphia, although she travels all around Equestria. Occupation: Seller of rare, exotic spices, herbs and rare flowers. Motivation: To assist other ponies in spicing up their home cooking and their homes with the items she sells, and to add even more flavour and spice to life in Equestria. Likes: Very exotic flowers, fine cuisine and solitude. Dislikes: Anything considered "normal" or "ordinary", fashion and most sweet food. Character Summary: History: Saffron was born in Fillydephia with neither brothers nor sisters. From an early age, she showed an avid interest in her parents' flower shop and began assisting them around the same time she started school. During her school life, Saffron was rather unpopular for reasons she never quite figured out. Fortunately, this popularity didn't last when her parents moved to Manehatten to further advertise their business. Parents: Her parents were quite well-known for their trade in rare and expensive flowers. Saffron's mother, Snow Crocus (formerly Snow Drop), had always had an affinity for flowers and a fine talent in arranging them in extravagant displays. Saffron's father, Dutch Crocus, was less interested in the flower arranging and more interested in the value of flowers. He had a knack for deciphering just how rare a flower was, and he always knew where to find the rarest ones. Cutie Mark Story: Saffron was a filly, helping her parents set up their new shop in Manehatten. Since she had been doing this for some years now, it started to bore her. Saffron's parents were quite pushy, and kept pestering her to discover her Cutie Mark. Annoyed at their constant nagging, Saffron 'accidentally' knocked over her mother's favourite preserved flower in an act of defiance. After the vase had smashed on the floor, she noticed a small purple flower lying amongst the rubble. It matched her eye colour exactly, which just happened to be her favourite colour at the time. Using her innate unicorn telekinesis to lift it onto the counter, Saffron investigated it. It was a fairly small flower, and inside it had two long crimson stigmas. She grabbed her father's flower identification manual and began to flick through the pages in order to find out the name of this wonderful flower. Its name was "saffron crocus". Her own name. Reading on, she discovered that it contained one of the most precious spices in the world. Saffron was amazed that she shared a name with such a precious ingredient in some extremely expensive dishes. Reluctantly, she took a small sniff of the deep red stigmas in the saffron flower. It smelt divine. She began to wonder why she hadn't figured this out or been told about such wonderful things before. Instead of continuing her parents' business, Saffron instead decided to find and sell such wonderful spices once she became old enough to run her own business. It was that exact moment in her parents' flower shop that Saffron gained her cutie mark: a lilac saffron crocus atop a pile of crimson spice. Flaws: At first, Saffron had the wrong business approach. Nobody was even considering buying from her due to how she tried to sell. Having learned from her father that time is money, she had little in the way of grace and patience to potential customers. She tried to rush them into buying items that she didn't even attempt to explain, having the preconception that all of them already knew about spices. Personality: Saffron is considered to be very stuck-up. She is also quite reclusive, and doesn't really like company. That isn't to say that she can't be nice, for she has a very kind side to those that are perseverant enough to try and make friends. Due to her early involvement in her parents' business, Saffron had little friends and often thinks that she doesn't need them. Another personality quirk that she possesses is that she is very obsessive, often ignoring people simply to lecture them about spices and herbs in food, and flowers for decoration. She may seem to be greedy at times, but that ties in with her rich home life and how accustomed she is to the finer things in life.
  13. All good things must come to an end. When that happens, just go back to the beginning again ^_^
