  1. Well, seeing as how this is a planned absence thread....I plan a permanent absence. I don't expect to return, either.
  2. (I am sorry...I'll give a description ASAP. )
  3. Alyx slung the guitar over his shoulder, and walked inside the building. He sat down and awaited his turn for service.
  4. ((And?....There can't be a metaphorical finger in there?))
  5. Allanon walked to a pedestal adjacent to the one that Arkos stood next to. He drew Narsil, and nodded to the skeletal entity. The two thrust the items within their grasps into the pedestals, and a cold wind erupts within the chamber.
  6. Allanon looked at Stardust, and said "He won't hurt us, don't worry." He then walked to the Skeleton, and the two began to converse in the ancient tongue. After a few minutes, the skeleton turns away, and walks to a wall. He traces one of the runes inscripted upon it, and a type of scepter appeared, which the skeleton took in hand and walked to a pedestal.
  7. Alyx was sitting in a bench on the street, bored out of his mind. After a couple minutes, he decided to pull out the old guitar he always carried and played a tune to keep him occupied. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stdqPT8LvTg This happened to be the melody that ran across the fretboard of the guitar.
  8. A deep voice called out in a foreign tongue, and Allanon replied in the same language. Torches were lit, and a Skeletal entity could be seen facing Allanon and Stardust. The Skeleton was clad in a long black robe, similar to Allanon, and bore a large battleaxe on his back. The forehead of the skull was branded with the same Triad that made the charm on the chain that Allanon wore. It pointed a bone finger, speaking still in the foreign dialect. Allanon spoke his reply, and said to Stardust "This is Arkos. I must apologize if you cannot understand him...he has a habit of speaking the Shannarian tongue."
  9. After the weight was placed, Allanon struck a nearby switch with his broadsword. A door opened in response. Allanon nodded, and said "Good. Let us move onwards." He Walked slowly through the door.
  10. "See that pressure plate over there? There should be a weight around here to press it down." Allanon says, pointing the staff at a nearby cliff face.
  11. Allanon replies "Oh, THAT! I had forgotten of that moment...And nay, I am not angry with anything at the moment. I'm just trying to think of the SAFEST way through this chamber..." He looks around, and stops moving. A large group of spikes shot out of the wall, encasing the Druid. "Very funny, Arkos." Allanon says stolidly, and uses the staff to melt through the spikes. He then says to Stardust "How much weight can you carry in flight?"
  12. Allanon looks at Stardust in confusion. "When was the first time you were rescued by my hand?" He asks, then gives a gruff huff and walks onwards.
  13. Allanon softly chuckles and says "No. I, being the Bearer, can filter out who may enter this chamber, and who will drop dead once they set foot upon these grounds. This is a sacred chamber, and it is a transgression to tread upon it without the permission of Arkos, or the Bearer. As far as combat is concerned...Arkos is not a blood-driven god. He will give us 'tests', but he won't confront us in combat directly." As he spoke, he stopped just as a giant pendulum blade swing out. He turned to Stardust, and said "See? Perfect example of Arkos' tests." He then stepped out in front of the pendulum, and said "bewegungslos sein", and the pendulum stopped swinging.
  14. Allanon shakes his head and says "I already carry a burden. I consider a living being to be company, not a burden." He then continues walking in silence.
  15. (...Whether or not I am permitted to join is equivocal...I'll just apply in the OOC, if there is one...)
  16. Allanon turned to Stardust and said "I know you wish to go back. I felt exactly the same when I first entered behind Faramir, the previous Triad-Bearer. I do not wish to force anything upon you, so if you truly wish to go, it would behoove you to tell me so now. We are not far enough within the chamber that its magic stops Teleportation."
  17. Allanon looked back at Forte before leaving and said "By the way...I am no agent of this corrupted government. I can see things you cannot, and in many ways most never thought possible. I know what I speak of..." He then vanished into thin air, leaving not a trace of his being there.
  18. "Well...no need for hostility here...." Allanon silently said to himself. He looked around, equivocal of where to go or what to do.
  19. Allanon merely remains silent before slowly walking away, and vanishing into the depths of the night.
  20. Allanon struck the floor with his staff, and the massive doors slowly swung open. He walked inside slowly.
  21. He finally stops walking and says "There it is." He pushes in on a brick, and the entrance to the passageway closed, and torches lit with a dark blue flame. Allanon walks down the now lit passageway towards an enormous door, which bore three runic words. "Beyond this door lies the temple to Arkos, the Druidic God.. He rests within its Inner Sanctum, awaiting my presence. You may come f you truly wish, but I must advise you not to stray too far. "
  22. "With my job I barely sleep at all..." Allanon says darkly
  23. Allanon looks at Stardust and says " That will be explained in great detail at a more sufficient time. For now, you will have to be satisfied with the fact that the Triad is my people's symbol of power."
