  1. Starlight watched him get so fidgety and nervous and fought to keep back the bout of laughter that threatened to escape out of her control. "I'm sorry... I'm sure it will come back to you when something sparks your memory." She assured him with a soft response before sampling a bit of the meal she had ordered before taking a proper bite. The young mare could tell the young stallion wasn't used to a social situation like this and she herself was fairly new to this experience. "The plan? Hmm... I'm not sure actually." Her head looked to the side as she tapped a hoof to her chin in thought for a moment. There wasn't much that had to be done before the small event she was to perform happened. As far as she knew there would be some practicing she would need to do and maybe looking into a nice outfit. Then again she knew very little about the event and didn't know how to prepare herself for it. "Well... we should just head to the auditorium like he asked us to. Once there it should be easy to figure out where to go and what to do. How does that sound?" She asked him with a glittering sparkle in her eyes. After all, she was just a humble pony with a big dream and one that didn't have much to do at this time of the day.
  2. Twilight's question made her chuckle as she lightly shook her head. "Oh no, not really. I'm just visiting the area to look for some inspiration in your library." She smiled for Ponyville was a nice little town, but Cloudsdale was always going to be where home is and that would never change. Though she might make more plans to come here more often in the future because it was such a nice place to visit. "Ah. Thank you very much... just what I need over here." Starlight smiled as she selected a few books from the proper section and took them over to a comfortable area to settle down and flip through the pages. She wasn't expecting too much inspiration from just reading, but it would help spark new ideas. Starlight chuckled as Spike took the compliment very well and boasted just slightly about his looks. Their interaction was cut short however as there was a large crashing noise of books. "Oh my..." The books lay forgotten as she moved to help Spike get the unfortunate pony out from under the pile of books. Moving some aside carefully so the pages wouldn't be ruined.
  3. Starlight Melody turned her head to the side, tapping a hoof on the table lightly as she went through her mental list of songs. "Well... I'm actually not sure just yet. Either way... it shouldn't be too difficult." That mental file was still sorting through all the songs she had already practiced and gotten down. However none of them were 'amazing' enough to perform at the South Auditorium. "Huh?! Oh wait-!" The young mare blushed as Zephyr had offered to pay for the meal. "You don't have to. I can take care of it myself..." It wasn't that the thought wasn't appreciated by her, but it just felt a little odd to have some ponyelse paying for what she had ordered. However she had this feeling he would insist upon it and smiled softly. She'd pay him back by treating him to a nice snack later instead and not worry about him paying anymore.
  4. Star blinked and nodded her head happily for it seemed like a more proper place to talk about it there instead of here. "Alright... I'll be there. Thank you again for this chance." She dipped her head multiple times as she listened to what he had to say. Her heart was almost literally bursting with the excitement of being able to perform at such an event. "I shall keep that in mind for you then..." She watched him fly off before turning and looking at Zephyr. "Zephyr!! We did it! Oh my gosh!! I've got an actual gig!" Her eyes were sparkling with her mirth as she pawed at the floor and her wings kept shifting and moving in excitement. "Thank you thank you!" She gave him a hug before trotting off back to their table to finish enjoying their own drinks and plan out a song choice.
  5. Starlight's eyes went wide with shock at this news for it really wasn't enough time to plan out her first performance much less have everything she needed to go on stage tonight. However, this was a rare chance and she was NOT going to pass it up just because of some slithering fears and doubt were working their way into her confidence. Those wings shifted, unfolding slightly before snapping down tight against her sides as she quickly turned that worried expression into a bright and excited smile. "I can do it! I will accept such an offer, however..." Her expression changed once more into one of seriousness as she helped herself to a seat for they would probably need to plan things out. "Will there be a wardrobe provided and all that jazz or will I need to find my own outfit for the evening? Also what about forms of payment since money must always be exchanged for offers of services? I can do this job... I might be a little nervous at first but I want to become a star and promise to not fail at this."
  6. Starlight smiled as Zephyr found his confidence and added in his beliefs in her abilities. She was silent, flushing slightly at the praise to her voice again as she watched the interaction between the two. Madden's response to the last bit of praise made her jump in freight. "Uh... Yes I am..." She replied for there couldn't be any other pony that was possibly singing before her. Her heart skipped a beat as a first wave of true nervousness hit her. She stepped back in before anything unsettling could be said to hurt Zephyr as she cleared her throat. "What does that matter anyway? The fact is you hear my singing... and judging from that reaction..." She smiled with a small hint of deviousness about her as her eyes glittered in pride. "I have to have some shred of talent and you heard it. In fact... I will perform right here to prove it..." She took a few steps back after taking a sip of water for the sake of her throat. Without music or direction or anything, she opened her mouth and sang. The melody was more a beat and free than what she sang earlier, but it also showed the true range and ability of her vocals as her voice came out loud and clear despite the acoustics of the cafe.
  7. Star was actually willing to let Zephyr be her manager, but just hoped the stress of the job and the pressure wouldn't be too hard on him. Making sure she wasn't alone, Star peeked over her shoulder at Zephyr and felt a little boost of resolve as he followed. "Thanks for coming with me... This pony is a famous announcer. I've heard of him quite a few number of times. He's done work with Sapphire Shores." She whispered to him softly before giggling lightly and looking at the pony failing to hide himself behind a menu. Star knew she was being very bold and down right forward, but this seemed like a once in a life time chance for her to get her career moving. Her eyes peered around the menu to look at Madden head on and gently pushed the menu flat onto the table. "Excuse me. You are Madden right? My name is Starlight Melody." She smiled warmly as her voice held a melodic undertone when she spoke, her hoof moving away from the menu as she returned the proper distance between them. "I have a few questions for you... along with my friend here... Zephyr. You see... I'm trying to get my music career off the ground and we both could use some pointers. Zephyr as my official manager and myself as the singer."
  8. Of course you will! I demand it of you to have fun :3
  9. Violet Mist would be adorable! Could you possibly draw her? Reference
  10. There was an obvious shift in the atmosphere around them as Zephyr trailed off with his reply. The words were unspoken and yet hung in the air between them as she felt a pang of empathy for the pegasus sitting across from her. The loos of life was never easy to handle, but was something that had to happen in order to maintain a balance. Starlight knew it was something he wouldn't want to easily share and thus knew not to mention nor push the topic further. It would be highly rude of her if she did and probably break the slowly blooming trust between them. So when the topic came back to her own singing she let the almost forced topic transition take place. The mood between them quickly becoming forgotten and replaced with a lighter and more hopeful feel. "Well there are, but I don't have enough reputation to apply for a time slot to perform or I just lack the power of a big name behind me. Though I keep trying in the hopes I become a backup or a fill in." She smiled softly for she wasn't going to give up despite the recent pot holes in her career. Being alone as she strived for her goals didn't help her success either. "You would do that? Are you sure its alright? That's like asking to become my manager and it would keep you very busy..." Starlight felt a little guilty just accepting an offer if the other pony didn't know just how heavy the actual workload would be. Though the help would be wonderful in getting her name out there even more and exposing her voice to more of Equestria. It was then she heard a commotion nearby in the cafe. All the ponies were excited about somepony or something that must be famous or else the peaceful air would have remained. She turned her head, blinking as she saw a few ponies gathered and whispering about a very familiar pony sitting alone at a table. "It couldn't be... Why would such a pony like him be here?" She turned, looking at Zephyr and pointing to the other pony's table. "He might be able to give us some tips... If he is the pony I think he is..." She smiled, moving to head to the famous pony's table to introduce herself.
  11. The young mare just quietly listened to him respond, taking a quick peek at his flank to see what his cutie mark looked like. Her mane falling in front of her eyes again slightly before she flipped it back with one fluid motion of her head. There was a moment of silence as the question was presented to her, a slight frown on her face as she tried to figure out how to word a proper response. "Its not being dramatic at all. I think we have all gone through such a moment in our lives at least once." She smiled reassuringly, catching the sight of a pony that didn't usually frequent the place entering the cafe. As the waitress came by, Starlight order herself a fresh salad and crisp water to drink for she wasn't actually that hungry. "Hmm... I wonder. Where do I find happiness..." The silence resumed as she continued thinking and let out a light and airy laugh. "I'd have to say I find my happiness through my singing. I also find it through having a good time with friends and making new friends." She was beaming, hoping Zephyr would understand she was already willing to deem him a friend despite only knowing him for a very short period of time. "Everypony is different so I'm not sure if I can be any help. However, I will say this. You need to have faith in yourself first before the path becomes clear. Its something my mother told me when I was a young filly."
  12. As they walked towards the cafe, Starlight looked a little embarrassed and flustered as he brought up her singing once more. She was actually used to this kind of discussion for a lot of other ponies were all saying the same thing. That she should take more pride in her voice, but the pride part made her nervous. Ponies didn't like those that bragged too much and so she kept telling herself she still need practice and honing her talent even more. "I've actually heard that alot. I am thankful for the compliment, however I still feel there is even more work to do and room for my voice to grow." She replied, her tail swishing to the side as deep down she did take pride in her voice and felt it was amazing, just not amazing enough to perform for the princess. "Ah... more like a star through my singing. I dream to be able to sing for the Princesses one day. It would be the greatest honor to be able to do that..." Starlight's eyes sparkled as she spoke, showing she was truly hopeful for that chance. "What about you? What do you aspire to? Her footsteps paused as they reached the cafe and saw they could seat themselves.
  13. Starlight Melody almost shivered in delight as the water washed down over her parched throat and soothed the irritated tissues. She pulled away from the small drinking fountain, licking her lips and turning to face him. "Wonderful... its actually this place's little cafe. Mostly the older ponies go in there before leaving and I haven't really gone inside yet." She explained with a smile on her face, pointing a hoof towards the little cafe hidden behind a large cloud pillar. "You're cute. Relax and lighten up. You should just act yourself even if you feel like it might be foolish. I'd rather speak to an honest and awkward pony than one trying to hard at pleasing me." Starlight nudged him slightly with her hoof, pushing him towards the direction of the cafe, giggling some more for this pony sure was a little odd and almost made her think of a young foal.
  14. Starlight Melody tilted her head to the side, smiling kindly as the pegasus pony looked a little baffled by her. It was the first time anypony ever became speechless after meeting her and it excited her slightly. She never imagined that she could ever get such a first time response like this until after she became famous. Another giggled bubbled past her lips as the others verbal response was adorable. "Pleasure to meet you Zephyr. Thanks for the compliment, but I highly doubt I am as good as you claim me to be." She laughed nervously for it was a little embarrassing still to hear such praise come from anypony, much less a stranger. "I still have a long way to go to really be as amazing as you describe me. The young mare's wings fidgeted against her side as she took a small step forward. "Uh... are you hungry by any chance? I know this nice little place to grab a quick bite to eat and for a decent price. Starlight thought it would be nice to make a friend of this pony and also just eat a meal with somepony for once instead of alone. As she spoke, the mare was heading towards the small fountain placed in the hall with water running out of it. She wasn't going to forget that she needed the cool liquid in order to soothe the heat in the back of her throat and so took a happy helping of the freely provided water and looking relieved.
  15. Elsina stumbled into the clearing, looking exasperated and highly upset. It was still going to take a lot of practice getting used to his body because on her way here she kept forgetting to make sure her hind legs weren't hitting anything. So the young mare no longer looked blue, but instead had three colors. Her pelt was covered in mud and leaves from a nasty fall down a little rise in the land and into a puddle. She had been following the voices and sure enough met exactly the pony she was looking for. It was Jen and someone else that looked and seemed a little familiar. Shaking her body and stamping the ground she shook what mud she could off of her body, wings flapping in irritation as the added weight tried to settle on carefully preened feathers. "Oh thank goodness I found you two..." Elsina was panting slightly after the rough effort and folded her wings back against her sides. Just the act of moving the extra appendages was helping her to learn about the muscles that moved them and was mentally storing this information away for when she would first attempt flight. The sight of the red pegasus told her it was a good thing she hadn't jumped the gun just yet and making use of her abilities. "Oh... Dio? You okay?" The pegasus' name finally jumped into her head as she moved over to try and help the pony up to his feet. "I take it you tried flying and its not at all that easy... Though I haven't tried it for myself just yet..." This sight of a crashed pony was exactly why she hadn't stretched those wings and use her above average knowledge about animals to fly. "Jen... are you alright as well? One piece I'm hoping..." As though recalling the unicorn was also standing next to the crashed pegasus with her. Also that Jen would know just a little more than her about what was going on for lately Elsina's own attention-span was akin to that of a feline creature and things kind of didn't reach her on the first try.
  16. Name: Violet Mist Sex: Female Age: Mare Species: Pegasus Pelt Color: Her pelt is a light shade of violet. Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: Her mane ins tail are usually wild and unkempt, but lately she's taken to trying to at least keep her mane in check by tying it loosely with a scrunchie. The color of the hair itself is a soft lilac color and almost looks white in the sun. Eye Color: Magenta eyes. Cutie Mark: Misty pastel purple spots in a streak mark and at the front part of the streak is a small wing. Physique: Slim and highly athletic build as she seems built for speed and maneuverability. Origin: Cloudsdale. Role-play Type: Equestria Mane RP Occupation: After having spent a good five years as a Wonderbolt, Violet eventually retired despite having the ability to continue on as one of their fastest fliers. It wasn't due to injury or age, but more because family matters got into the way and she needed to be home rather than performing all over Equestria. She now works as a delivery pony from Cloudsdale to Ponyville. Motivation: Being in the Wonderbolts was everything anypony could have ever wanted if they had wings. She was one of the best and one of the fastest ponies on the team. Violet was able to make a trail of mist appear behind her in flight and it would shimmer a soft purple in the sunlight. However she was forced to retire from the dream life a few years earlier than she had planned. Now she works as a delivery pony and strives to become the fastest and most reliable pony for the job and maybe even deliver packages all across Equestria. Character Summary: Violet Mist was from an average family of pegasus ponies and grew up firmly believing she would one day join the Wonderbolts and become famous in Equestria. The day came and it was the most memorable moment of her life as she walked away from try outs with that well known uniform across her back. Her parents were proud to have such a talented daughter and knew she was always a skilled flier and destined for this position. She was happy, loving every minute of her dream life as she performed and dazzled dozens of audiences. Her performance was just proof of the true reason behind her cutie mark's appearance when she first hit those high speeds and created that sparkling trail of mist behind her. Everything ended however when her father got in an accident and broke his leg. She was forced to retire young and early from the team to go back home. She gave up the life she always wanted to care for the family that needed her and will never regret it. Knowing she would have retired eventually anyway, she took up a job as a delivery pony in Cloudsdale. Since then every pony that knows her will mention that she is very kind, generous, and highly compassionate about those she cares about. However her excitement does tend to still get her into trouble, but she does mean well. Violet's cutie mark was discovered during a general playtime after school. She was just busy practicing her flying skills so she could be one step closer to becoming a future member of the Wonderbolts. Desperate to prove she was an extremely talented flier she challenged herself to finish a mini course in a certain amount of time. As she flew her wings drug through a cloud and scattered it into a trail of mist behind her that cast a soft purple hue. After first performing such a trick, she challenged herself the next day to this mini challenge, willing to try to get this effect without the aid of a cloud. She wanted to make contrails with her wing tips and when she did it made her feel as though she would truly join the Wonderbolts and her cutie mark appeared on her flank.
  17. As the song came to an end her eyes opened with a bright smile plastered on her face as she flexed her wings. She had done it! She managed to sing such a lengthy tune all on her own and without faltering. Those indigo orbs glittered with her success as she bowed to the elder ponies that clapped softly in approval for the well done song. Her head turned, moving to get some water to wet her parched throat. Her voice was her life and she took great care of her health in order to ensure she could sing for her entire life. However, the sight of a pony near her age startled her. "Oh... uh... hi there." She laughed nervously as the stallion pony was also not something she ever expected to run into at this place. Starlight knew every pony that usually came here, giving them free shows during her practice time and enjoying their company. This dark green Pegasus was new and also felt like he wasn't originally from the area like herself. He seemed a little socially awkward and unsure pony and could tell it was because of a rough history. "My name's Starlight Melody... You can call me either Starlight, Star, or even Mel. What's your name?" She extended a hoof to him in greeting, wings rustling against her sides and showing off her cutie mark for a moment. Indigo mane was tossed out of her eyes and settling back into shimmering waves against her neck. The long tail also shifted to try and get the hair to settle back into place as well.
  18. Starlight Melody walked silently through the door that led to the Racing Hall of Fame where the achievements of ponies from the past and present were displayed proudly. She paused, looking around her and smiling for this was one of her favorite places to come and be alone. Here ponies rarely came unless a race was going on and only a few actually came everyday to relive memories or wish well of their past loved ones. The main reason she chose to travel here on those quiet days was because of the acoustics of the place. They were amazing and a wonderful area for her to practice and hone her talent as a singer. There was the soft echo of her hooves as she headed to the middle of the large and open room, only a few elderly ponies present today as she splayed her wings and bowed to them. "I apologize if I may disturb you, but I need to practice." She smiled as the few in the room were actually alright with her singing, having grown accustomed to her wonderful voice as they sat and enjoyed the shrine to famous racers. Closing her soft indigo orbs Starlight Melody inhaled a deep breath as she got into the perfect stance for singing properly and projecting her voice. Counting an imaginary beat in her head she started singing the National Anthem for Equestria, her voice carrying perfectly within the hall and the elders looking amazed as she sang so beautifully. She sang with all her heart before finally letting the tune drift off as the song came to an end. Her sides shifting rapidly as she lost the control over her breathing that time, but didn't loose her projection during the song. "Ah... that felt nice..." She smiled, feeling accomplished before closing her eyes and moving into a more haunting melody full of strong emotion. It was an old pony song about two ponies that fell in love and a favorite one for every pony. It was also a lengthy song and something Starlight knew would really test her capabilities and stamina. If she was to one day perform for the Princess, she needed to be able to sing any song that was requested of her and sing it properly.
  19. The world was spinning in her head as she felt herself stir inwardly, eyes still squeezed shut tightly to block out the light. It wasn't as rough for some because she drank very little and enjoyed watching the others from the sidelines. She was still new and probably already out of the minds of RC's friends, only along because an invitation had been offered and wasn't one she was willing to refuse. "Ugh... something isn't right..." She groaned, slowly opening her eyes and taking in her surroundings. Grass and dirt greeted her vision and that actually didn't startle her all that much for it happened a few times before when she was out and about with friends. However, unlike normal colors everything was brighter and almost colored like one of her favorite shows and the reason why she was out that night. "Oh boy... Its happened. I finally snapped... my sanity is gone..." She shook herself, noting her ears felt like they were... moving? Wait... that's not normal. She knew she could wiggle them but since when were ears on top of her head and able to rotate. "Its true... I did... This isn't happening..." That when she realized sky blue hair was falling over her eyes and let out a cry of shock for there was no way she could get a job now. "W-w-w-w-what?! Oh god... AHHHH! In her freight she had scrambled to her feet and promptly fell back over and noticed she was no longer a bipedal creature. Sharp pain jolted up her spine as something complained about her weight resting upon them and all the while still screaming as she rolled over to alleviate the pain. "This CAN NOT be happening...!" She was a pony and to make matters worse a pony from a cartoon show! What in the hay happened last night that caused this to happen to here. She stopped, going stock still as she finally took in more of her surroundings. "Everfree... forest?" She murmured under her breath and knew this could turn out to be a very bad thing. She needed to find the others and get out of here quickly. She knew she had become a Pegasus pony and wasn't really surprised with it for flight reminded her of the thrill of roller coaster rides in amusement parks. However, the actual thought of using her wings worried her and so she wobbled and stumbled around her clearing before finally mastering the art of walking on four legs. She heard talking somewhere and it belonged to a familiar voice and decided to head in that direction, folding her wings tightly to her back as she walked. Someone had to have the answer as to why this had to happen to them and how to undo it.

  22. Starlight was brought out of her stupor as without warning somepony bumped right into her. She let out a sound of shock, wings splaying as she caught her balance and trotted forward a bit. The culprit was immediately apologetic and chased away any thought of getting upset. "Its quite alright... I'm sorry for not being more aware myself..." The dark colored pony smiled, tipping her head slightly to the embarrassed pony. "I don't think picture books are just for foals... anypony should be able to enjoy childish things every now and again." With that slight interruption over with Starlight refocused back on Spike, noting another pony had joined the room. She blinked, glancing at the cutie mark and instantly knew this had to be the well spoken Twilight Sparkle. Starlight only really knew of her because she spent all her free time learning about the princess and Canterlot and knew this unicorn was Celestia's own pupil. "Uh... Hi." Nervousness had suddenly flooded her for this pony could help her get one step closer to her dream. Mentally she shook herself, not wanting to be an annoyance and whining for a request to see Celestia. "My name's Starlight Melody... Can you point me to the poetry section?" Spike amused her as he commented on her reaction to her without thought it seemed. She lowered her head to his level and looked apologetic. "Sorry for staring... Its not often I see a young and handsome dragon..."
  23. Starlight Melody landed with practiced grace outside the library of Ponyville. The darkly colored young mare swept her indigo mane out from her eyes and took in the large tree. She raised a hoof, ready to walk inside and just double check this was indeed where she wanted to go. She came all the way from Cloudsdale because of a rumor she heard about some unicorn that now lived her and also because it was the best library around that she could easily reach. The young mare smiled, inhaling the sweet fresh air as a breeze picked up and a few little lyrics popped into her head. She hummed a tune that would fit them before trotting into the library and looking around. It was slightly dim and dusty, but anypony should expect that of a place like this. She glanced around at the shelves of books and felt a little lost, turning her focus to look for some help. "Excuse me. Uh... I'm not from the area, but I was wondering if I could take a look at a few books of poetry?" Her voice was smooth and sweet with just a hint of a melody to each word she spoke. Her wings fluttered as she turned to pull out a few papers from her bag and set them down. On the top was directions from Cloudsdale to Ponyville and the rest had half finished lyrics written on them. "Just point the way and I can help myself. I'm only doing a little bit of research and gathering some inspiration..." Starlight smiled again, but it vanished as she finally realized just what she was looking at. Before her stood a young dragon and she could see there were a few others hanging out in the back of the library.
  24. I hope these fixes work out all right for you. I realized there were even some parts where i had gotten a tad distracted while creating her.
  25. Tiger Lily had been wandering about, wearing a simple light blue dress with citrine gemstones set around the top in a nice elegant pattern. These kinds of grand events always made her feel extremely out of place and as though she should be elsewhere and tending to her plants. A soft sigh escaped the red-orange earth pony's mouth as she hung her head and let the dark black mane fall in front of her face. Thankfully the gardens were a nice quiet get away from the noise and bustling atmosphere of drone ramblings and buzz of overly excited ponies. "Well thankfully I can come here..." She muttered under her breath as she paused before a patch of well tended roses. She gently nuzzled the tend petals and inhaled the beautiful aroma of such happy plants. "You guys are so splendid and beautiful... Your gardener must take great pain and care to make sure you bloom beautifully..." She let out a soft laugh as pollen tickled her nose and almost as though it was the rose's response to her soft spoken words. Tiger Lily pulled back, turning her head as she heard there were other ponies enjoying the same quiet and open space of the gardens. Her head tilted to the side slightly, a hesitation in her step as she contemplated moving towards the sounds and meeting those that had gathered. Should I go over there? I did come here to make friends... but... Her thoughts trailed off as she reminded herself that was the reason she came to the gala, to make the friends she found herself wishing she had. Her flank quivered with the tension in her body before she flicked her mane back and steeled herself for what might be a very bold action. She took a step... and immediately turned and fled to the other side of the garden and away from the unknown ponies with a loud noise of frustration with herself.
