  1. Generosity is a better fit, but still a bit off. Loyalty would be the best fit IMO, since Honor would most closely resemble that than Generosity. Of course, none of the current Elements fits it exactly, since it is a completely different virtue in itself.
  2. Hiya! Since no one seems to have chosen to be Miss Sparkle...I think I'm gonna attempt a 'dibs' . Name: Lady Twilight Sparkle...or simply 'Spellmistress' if you attend my college. Age: Well, I'm not really old...only a little over a thousand years. Give or take. Gender: Hmm, judging on my slender figure, higher-pitched voice, and according to everypony around me, I'd have to say I am a mare. Or, female, if you prefer. Species: Currently, an Alicorn. I was a unicorn once, but...goodness, that was quite some time ago. Appearance: My, my, getting thorough now. Very well. I have a long, flowing dark-blue mane and tail with pink highlights, purple eyes, a smooth violet coat (although, granted, it often gets messy in my research) and similarly-coloured feathery wings. Wait, why feathers? We're ponies, that doesn't make sense. Shouldn't our wings be covered in fur...? Well, that wouldn't make sense either...sigh... Cutie Mark: Ah, yes! My Cutie Mark...I remember earning it on the day I attempted to become Princess Celestia's student, which unfortunately ended in a slight disaster, but the past is the past! My Cutie Mark is a single, magenta-coloured, six-pointed star, with several other stars circling it. Element: I was once the Element of Magic, but not anymore. Not that I mind or anything, I simply think that a younger generation should inherit the Elements. History: My past? Really?! No one (except for my geeky students) asks me about my past! Ahem...well, its a pleasant surprise, to say the least. Where shall I begin...? I was born and raised in Canterlot by my parents, alongside my brother Shining Armor, and grew up amongst the middle-class of Canterlot society. When I was little more than a foal, I tried to become enlisted in the Canterlot School for Gifted Unicorns...little did I know the events afterwards would lead me in a spiral of adventure and all-around goofy madness. I ended up being picked up and taught by Princess Celestia...and I will tell you now I thought I would never be happier. That is...until my teacher sent me to Ponyville, and taught me the greatest lesson of all; the magic of Friendship. Over the next couple of years, me and my new friends got into all kinds of insane and twisted trouble...but most of it was the sweet, crazy sort of problems that make oneself grow into a better pony. We defeated Nightmare Moon, Discord, King Sombra, Chrysalis...the list is endless. But what I remember most fondly is the fun we had, and the love we shared for each other. However, things became different when I became an Alicorn... While we maintained our friendship till their last days, life was never the same since. Sometimes, I regret ever becoming an Alicorn. Yet...if I hadn't, then who would have made the Crystal Empire float in the sky, or made pony colonization of the Moon possible? Surely my transformation was for the best...right? Right...? (There we go )
  3. "Legends are born from times of strife. Heroes cannot rise when no evil exists. Perhaps the greatest of all legends comes from a story that has faded from the memories of the common equines, forgotten even by the memory of the land itself. Set thousands of years ago, back before the advent of the Principality and the establishment of the Guilds, the legend of the Lineages became a reality. It was a time of chaos, disorder...a constant battle between dozens of different sides and views, but none could compare to the infinite struggle between the Lumen and Umbra bloodlines. Once, all the bloodlines of distant past had been united, a peaceful coalition of all views and opinions, in which justice was given and equality known. As is the sad truth of history...any time of previous peace was shattered by a catastrophic event. Against all laws and customs amongst the Lineages, a mare of the Umbra bloodline and a stallion of the Lumen bloodline mated...and conceived a foal. The foal was viewed as an abomination and a sacriledge; the result of a complete disregard to the laws set by their societies. It wasn't long before both Lineages were at each other's throats. War broke out between them, a war which dragged all other bloodlines into their vain struggle. The resulting battles would see the deaths of the mixed-Lineage foal, and the violent ends of it's parents. Several years would pass as the struggle between Light and Dark continued, finally seeing to the utter and complete destruction of the Lumen Lineage. Despite the Umbra bloodline's great victory, they too would disappear from the face of Equestria at the hands of the weaker bloodlines. The memories of the Lineages faded, and eventually disappeared in all but name. With the return of the miniscule knowledge of the ancient Lineages came a surprising turn of events. As if history were trying to repeat itself, creatures all across Equestria began to question their own pasts and ancestry. The result: the birth of the Guilds. While the Princesses still maintain authority amongst Equestrian government, the Guilds have steadily risen to power, sometimes easily manipulating authority to further their own ends. While no Guild is necessarily evil or wrong, there are some whose purposes are questionable. Even now, several decades since the Guilds' founding, more and more recruits are taken in. There is little doubt that in time, the Guilds will be the ones in control of Equestria...and that time is coming soon. Rumors circulate that the Old Blood is beginning to stir in a select few denizens of Equestria...what this could mean, little is known. It is with a humble mind and wary conscience that I, Archivus, write this small scripture in the hopes that however finds it...shall prepare for what will no doubt be the worst to come..." -Written by Archivus Tome, Royal Librarian and Advisor to the Royal Court of the Third Era. Greetings, everyone! For those of you who haven't met me, I am a veteran RP writer on the Canterlot FFA Forums. For those of you who have, I had taken a rather lengthy hiatus from the website due to personal reasons. However, during that time, I was able to come up with some amazingly interesting ideas. Like so many of my other RPs, this one is completely original...and the story a living, breathing creature. Well, enough about me...time to list some important info about the RP and Application requirements! Similar to my previous "Revolution" RP, "A Dance of Memories" has a faction-based system. While, granted, the conflicts between the factions in this RP are not as hostile as "Revolution", they each still have different views and personalities. The Guilds: Guild Astriel: The Guild of magic, knowledge, and science. Boasting a library equal to that of Canterlot's Royal Library and expansive research facilities, Astriel members seek out the mysteries of the world and prefer solving their problems through logic and reason. Though not as cold-hearted as many of Guild Terdas' members, those amongst Astriel often show little emotion when it comes to anything but knowledge. Their Guild rivals are Guild Nykai. The leader of Astriel is known by the name of "Grand Philosopher". Guild Nykai: The Guild of strength, honor, and warfare. Warriors of Guild Nykai are among the greatest in Equestria, reknowned for their mercenary work and their reputation as valiant defenders of the Peace. Occasionally the trainers of new recruits for the R.E.A. (Royal Equestrian Army), Nykai members take pride in their skill in combat and tactical supremacy. Unlike their rivals from Guild Astriel, Nykai warriors are extremely passionate in their beliefs and will often fight to the death for their virtues. The leader of Nykai is known by the name of "High General". Guild Terdas: The Guild of subtlety, assassins, and darkness. Every member of Guild Terdas is extremely proficient in the arts of death, ranging from brutal assassins to devious dark magicians. Often viewed with contempt by those outside their circles, Guild Terdas is considered a necessary evil. While Guild Evangel is their official rival, Guild Terdas sees all outsiders as potential threats and dangers. Secretive in all practices, no one has infiltrated Terdas and made it out alive. The leader of Terdas is known by the name of "Eternal One". Guild Evangel: The Guild of faith, healing, and light. Guild Evangel is the most respected and admired of the four Guilds, known for its' members' healing prowess by the use of magic or medicine. Many members are excessively beautiful, and possess kind, noble natures. It is rumored that Guild Evangel's highest authorities had learned from Celestia herself, but no evidence has proven it to be true. A few of Guild Evangel are capable of predicting small parts of the future, although what they reveal is often cryptic and hard to understand. Members of Evangel despise Guild Terdas because of its' sinister and wicked practices, and as a result pretend to ignore their existence. The leader of Evangel is known by the name of "Prophet". Non-Guild Allegiances: Unaffiliated: Those who are not connected to any Guild or faction, these creatures' goals and opinions are wide and diverse, and as a result those who are Unaffiliated are viewed as unpredictable. Free to do as they please, Guildless creatures usually remain obscured from the eyes of Guild members and more-than-often ignored becaused of it. The Principality: Concerning all those who follow and obey the Princesses instead of the Guilds, members of the Principality often have to deal with the existence of the Guilds, and are often bitter about their growing influence in Equestria. Ranging from soldiers to scholars, any member of the Principality would be caught dead before joining one of the Guilds...unless something changes that belief. Application Info: Name: Gender: Race: Affiliation: Rank: (Only if you plan on being a Recruit, Member, or Leader of a Guild.) Appearance: Personality: Background (Bio):
  4. If you guys would like to advertize for me, I'd greatly appreciate it
  5. ~Lunar Cross, within the Ruins of Canterlot~ Hours had passed since the cataclysmic event that ruptured the city, and everything had fallen into a dark, tense quiet. The sickly-yellow sun had not moved at all, and it's dim light had plunged the entire land in a sinister twilight that blanketed everything. Canterlot was a wreck, a shell of it's former self...perhaps never to be fixed again, if the Time-Lords had their way. Lunar Cross and his few remaining guards stood outside the fallen gates in solemn reminiscence and respect for those who had died this terrible day. Today was supposed to be a celebration...a happy time...but now it would be marked as a historic tragedy. After a few moments, Lunar led them through the ruins quietly, their swords loosened from their sheaths and their stances showing that they were ready for anything. Hundreds of buildings lay shattered in the dust, and splits miles deep into the earth ran through the streets. The silence was disturbing, but fitted the lack of life that was present in the area, sending shivers up some of the younger soldiers' spines. When the squad approached Ground Zero, where it all took place, the entire Canterlot Castle lay in a heap of debris, and the main square had endless, abyssal trenches spiraling everywhere. It appeared as if Tartarus had opened up. Trotting forward to the gigantic hole where that female Time-Lord had struck the ground, Lunar peered into the dark gap carefully, his sword unsheathed entirely. After a moment of seeing nothing, he turns and marches back toward the patiently-waiting group. "...let's go. There's no pony here left to be saved...we evacuated all we could. We are going to meet up with Sargeant Flare on the plains, and head to Ponyville to-" He was interrupted by a jarring, blood-curdling roar that seemed to emerge from the gap behind him, followed by the sound of the other guards swiftly unsheathing their swords or preparing their spears. A long silence went on for several moments, before the unearthly roar sounded off again, closer this time. Suddenly the marble buckled beneath them, causing many of the guards to step back or lift off onto their wings to avoid falling. Lunar Cross stood where he was, his eyes narrowed dangerously at the massive hole...as a huge black hand emerged and grabbed onto the edge. Staying still, the entire guard watched in stunned, horrified silence as the monster climbed out. Ape-like in appearance, it had bristles of black spikes that matched it's matted fur, and piercing purple eyes glared hatefully at them. Rising to a full height of twenty feet, it loosed another roar and battered at it's bare chest fiercely before charging at them on all fours. The squad leapt immediately into action, inspired by and held together by the displayed coolness of their captain, Lunar Cross. Spreading out along the ground and in the air, they desperately dodged the beast's flailing arms, knowing that a blow from the creature could kill on impact. A flying pegasus scored a deep cut along the monster's side, but paid for it when he was hit in retaliation by the monster, thus being flung aside. The guard struck a still-standing wall with a sickening sound, it's neck snapped on impact as the pony fell in a heap of flesh and armor. Lunar grimaced, but charged on. More and more wounds were growing on the beast, but another guard had gotten crushed under it's gigantic feet, and yet another broke his wing from a clip of the beast's arm. When the creature let loose a howl of pain and fury, Lunar Cross took flight and dove straight for it's skull...driving his blade right into one of it's purple eyes. The creature let out a dull gurgle before collapsing onto the ground, a mass of black-spewing cuts and blood-matted fur. He withdrew his sword from the creature and the blood on a clean spot on the corpse, sheathing it again before speaking. "...bury our fallen quickly, and support the wounded. We leave before another one of those...things...crawls back up." A chorus of acknowledgement met his orders as they rushed to do what he commanded. Hours later, they set up a base camp on one of the rolling hills outside of Canterlot, a couple of fires made to keep out the strange coldness that filled the air and to ease their bones. Lunar Cross himself stood away from the rest of his weakened squad, gazing in the direction of the newly-made ruins, lost in his thoughts. An image of the mysterious mare appeared in his mind, and he frowned to himself. ...Who are you, and what made you appear the way you did? The answer would have to wait, until he met the mare again.
  6. I'm shivering with excitement for this...so much vibrating, the house is shaking as well. My parents can't make me stop.
  7. Shadowbolt, Accepted. (And nice Warcraft reference ) Kaibunny, please add descriptions to your skills before I accept your application.
  8. ~Garnet Gleam~ She glanced at her hand as Cloud gripped it gently, and she slowly slipped it out of his grasp. Ruby seemed to be silently fuming at her desk while watching them, and Garnet gave Cloud a sheepish, apologetic smile. "Listen, Cloud. I like you, I do, but...I think it's a bit early for that sort of thing, wouldn't you agree? I don't know what everyone's fuss is about trying to find dates, especially since it's the first day of school...but I'm going with you as a friend. Okay?" She felt a bit bad, but that was simply how she saw the whole thing. "I'm just the kind of girl who only dates someone she's gotten to know." Again, Ruby stared a bit, grinding her teeth in annoyance. She couldn't wait for the bell to ring.
  9. ~Garnet Gleam~ She was dragged away from her thoughts when Cloud addressed her, turning to him with a confused look. "What? Oh, my favorite things...? Well, I like to sing and dance...when I do that, I can basically do the same thing as my sister." She smiled brightly. "We're both really great at visual magic...it comes natural to us. Why, back in Ponyville, we used to put on shows with both of our talents for people to enjoy. Maybe we'll put one on here, too." She giggled a bit, winking at him. It was at this time that Ruby's bird winked out of existence suddenly, the girl eyeing them suspiciously, earning an innocent grin from Garnet.
  10. Hmm, if we're on the topic of our OC's songs...I got a couple; It's not her theme song, she just likes it and its hidden meaning. The one below is her theme song: It relates to the 'maybe something more' deal with who...or what...Dahlia Snow is
  11. Hehe...Dahlia would probably do it anyway, just to get a rise out of her 'wonderful' captain Celestia knows how lonely it can be on an airship without any stallions...she's gotta entertain herself somehow.
  12. Champion Name: Moonfang, the Night Sentinel. Champion Gender: Female. Champion Race: Earth Pony. Champion Roles: Mage, Ranged. Champion Affiliation: Stalliongrad. Champion Appearance: A slim mare with a black coat, yellow eyes, and a long purple mane/tail. She wears black and silver leather armor, bearing crests of a crescent moon streaked with arrows. White war-markings are painted along her face and the open areas of her body. Champion Personality: Cool, collected, and noble. Moonfang is a lady of great kindness and stability, known in Stalliongrad for her great and selfless deeds for the citizens during the naturally-dangerous nighttime. She has an unshakable sense of honor, never doing anything wicked to further her own goals. Champion Cutie Mark: A full moon with a star-shaped throwing glaive at it's center. She earned it upon becoming a Priestess of Luna. Champion Weapon: Moonfang carries around a special, magically-crafted throwing glaive that returns to her possession on its own after meeting its targets, enchanted with the energies of the moon itself. It is shaped like a five-pointed star, the bladed ends curved for better flight and cutting power. It is said that they carry the very light of the moon in each blade...often the last bit of light seen by her enemies before their deaths. Champion Toolkit: Champion Passive: Blessing of the Moon - Grants Moonfang and her allies increased magical power in a radius around her. Also grants increased night vision when the sun sets. Champion Skill 1: (Active Skill) Deadly Moonbeam - Fires a stream of lunar magic at enemies, dealing burning damage and slowing targets hit by a small amount. Champion Skill 2: (Passive Skill) Starlit Glaive - Upon hitting an enemy with her glaive, Moonfang gains increased speed and is able to phase through allies without harming them. Champion Skill 3: (Active Skill) Moon Blink - Moonfang gathers her magical energies to bend space around her slightly, warping her a short distance from her current position. Champion Ultimate: (Active Skill) Call of the Hunt - Unleashing a fierce warrior's cry, Moonfang is able to turn day into night for a limited time, while also calling down a massive beam of moonlight around her, stunning any enemies in a medium-ranged radius around her. Champion Goals/Motivation: To one day bring peace to Equestria, and to find the lost Princess Luuna and restore her throne. Champion History/Lore: Born in Stalliongrad, she was abandoned on the steps of the Temple of Luna when she was a foal, and was raised by the kind priestesses who ran the Temple. Being trained to be a seeker of peace and a spreader of good fortune, she was raised to love the nighttime and Princess Luna, and love them she did. When the Princessess disappeared and war broke out, Moonfang took up Stalliongrad's call to arms, and was given a special star-glaive by the Temple's High Priestess. Taking the relic, Moonfang used it's celestial energies to bring order and peace alongside other heroes of Stalliongrad. At the end of the Rune Wars and the formation of the League of Equestrians, she sought them out and joined them as a Champion of Stalliongrad, hoping to serve her home city-state and the continent of Equestria. Also, she believes that the League held the key to finding the missing Princess Luna, and now fights within the Fields of Honor to bring glory to Stalliongrad and to find information on the lost monarch. (There we go that should do it! Btw, I think it'd be easier to state that this RP is probably going to be Anthro.)
  13. I just posted the information I will also be making an example app.
  14. Champion Application Information: Champion Name: (As basic as it gets. However, a title should also be included. Ex. Standard races are; Earth Pony/Unicorn/Pegasus/Griffon/Zebra/Changeling.) Champion Role: (Your Champion's basic archetype. Examples are below. Mage: A magic-wielding Champion. Fighter: A tough and brute-like Champion. Assassin: A stealthy or swift, killing Champion. Support: A helpful and team-boosting Champion. Ranged: A Champion who is mostly long-ranged combat. Champion Cutie Mark (If a Pony): (Your Pony Champion's Cutie Mark description.) Champion Weapon: (What they will primarily use outside of special skills/spells. If they don't have an actual weapon, they can use fists/hooves/talons, or simply shoot lightning/fireballs from their appendages.) Champion Toolkit: (This is where things get tricky. Your Champion must have a single passive, three normal skills/spells, and then one ultimate ability. Full creative control here with the exception of a few things...something we in video games call 'CC', or 'crowd-control'. CC on normal skills are generally weaker than on ultimates. Only one CC can be applied to any one skill/spell. Slow: Reduces enemy movement speed/attack speed. Rather obvious. Larger slow/duration on ultimates. Stun: Incapacitates enemy, preventing all movement. Longer duration on ultimates. Suppress: Incapacitiates the enemy and yourself, preventing all movement. Longer duration than stuns. Only available on ultimates. Fear: Inspires terror in the enemy, causing unpredictable results. Longer duration on ultimates. Impact: Knocks enemies for a sizable distance. Further distance and larger radius on ultimates Charm/Taunt: Forces enemies to follow/attack a specific target. Larger radius on ultimates.) Champion Passive: (Your Champion's always-active ability. Champion History/Lore: (Your Champion's past, and why they joined the League of Equestrians.) (Canon-based characters are also allowed to be adapted into Champions, but must be accurate.)
  15. It has been two decades since the terrible Rune Wars nearly destroyed all of Equestria, battles between opposing mages and emerging city-states causing rifts within the very fabric of space and time. Equestria had been split into fractions ever since the Princesses mysteriously disappeared, and many leaders viewed this as a chance to take control. Changelings, griffons, ponies...war was their only passion. It was during the Rune Wars that the many city-states, primary the largest rival states of Stalliongrad and Las Pegasus, realized that their magical wars were ripping the continent apart. In order to preserve it, the League of Equestrians was founded. Being a peace-making, mitigating force to settle politcal squabbles amongst all the factions of Equestria, the League regulates all powerful magic, and by doing so maintain the stability of the continent. Despite the desire for peace, many city-states (mostly Stalliongrad vs Las Pegasus) still harbor hatreds and political conflict. So in order to resolve this, the League began recruiting the greatest fighters of Equestria to serve as Champions for their home city-states, competing on fields of honor for their city-state's needs. Because of the huge impact such dealings had on the continent, the League of Equestrians became a big spectacle in which hundreds of thousands of creatures watched from their homes the great, entertaining battles that the Champions had against one another. Now is the time for heroes, who will you fight for? ------- Available City-states: Canterlot: The largest (and arguably most neutral) city-state in Equestria. Canterlot represents everything taken in moderation and balance. Champions who come from here tend to be always calm, dispassionate, and open-minded. Stalliongrad: Equal in size to their enemy city-state, Las Pegasus, Stalliongradians are known for their sense of honor, pride, and overall good will toward all forms of life. However, they have been in feud against Las Pegasus ever since the Princessed disappeared. Champions from here are usually knightly and kind-hearted, but fierce in combat. Las Pegasus: Rivals of Stalliongrad, the city-state of Las Pegasus is a place of lust, greed, and overall corruption. They are constantly striving to get ahead of all the other city-states, and are notorious for their wicked and cruel tactics in war. Champions from here mostly have no conscience and care little for who or what they harm to get what they want. Ponyville: Considerably larger since it's once-humble beginnings, this city-state has become Equestria's greatest center of technological/magical growth and progress. Champions from here tend to have magic-tech weaponry and suits, and often act carefree and energetic. Manehatten: Economic rivals of the thriving Ponyville, this city-state boasts mass-production of technology and magical equipment compared to Ponyvillian quality. Champions from here often act in groups, used to gang/mob affiliations. Appleploosa: Another rapidly-growing city-state, they contain the largest fruit harvests in Equestria as well as the most well-trained military force. Champions from here are skilled with gunpowder/ranged weaponry and tend to discourage magic, having a stiff sense of loyalty and stubbornness. Saddle Arabia: While more of a province than city-state, it has been recognized by the League and thus sends champions of their own, often being as mysterious as their own home. Champions from here are bizarre in many ways, ranging from their skills to their appearance...some being actual monsters. ------- Combat Zones in the League: The Badlands Rift: One of the very first (and broken) former battlegrounds of the Rune Wars, it has been dramatically changed into a special field of honor by the League for battles between Champions. The rules to win in the Rift are: - Destroying the Magic Nexus at each side's base. Two sides exist, and three other forts must be destroyed on the enemy side in order to destroy their Nexus. - A powerful, engineered monster by the name of Lord Wheezly, a dragon, lies in a cave spawned randomly within the battleground. Slaying him empowers the team greatly with rapid regeneration of wounds (to a degree) and increased physical/magical power. - Lifeless soldiers are spawned by both sides that aid you in securing the enemy bases. Don't feel bad about stabbing them, ripping them apart, blowing them up, etc., because they cannot feel pain anyway. - Shops exist at each home base, in which Champions may buy special and unique items for use. Gold is gained by killing champions/destroying forts. Champions=500 Gold, Forts=2000 Gold. (Items to be explained later.) - Champions may respawn after death back at their home base, but they only have three lives. - Team Sizes of three, two teams. The Snowy Scar: A former valley that suffered greatly at the end of the Rune Wars, the League went through great pains to seal the deadly magic permeating the terrain within many nexus. Champions fight here and destroy the opposing Nexus, so that they may be replaced. - The goal is to destroy the enemy team's nexus by capturing five sectors in the Scar; the Foundery, the Farm, the Mine, the Encampment, and the Smeltery. Once all five are conquered, the enemy's nexus will detonate. - To capture a sector, at least one champion must hold and protect it from the enemy team for a certain amount of time. The most common strategy most teams employ is have one champion stay to capture the rear-most point, and meet up later at one of the further-off sectors. A sector that is captured may be recaptured, but only if the sector before it is already owned by your team. - Shops are at the Nexus of both teams. Due to more Champion vs Champion conflict, kills equal 300 Gold. Capturing sectors awards 1000 Gold. - Due to more Champion vs Champion conflict, Champion lives are extended to five. - Team Size of 3, two teams. (More Fields of Honor to be added in the future.)
  16. Yar har har, me mateys! I can't wait 'till this game begins! We'll sail the high skies, soar past Cloud 9, and lay waste to the mangy curs that run on the lands below! The lilly-livered landlubbers will tremble in 'er boots at our mighty airships! (Btw, anyone a fan of League of Legends and watching the S3 Qualifier? It's insane.)
  17. True, very true. He must be the dullest member amongst the crew, isn't he?
  18. Hmm...I'm not sure, but I think Blueprint is an enthusiast for adventure...
  19. You lack sufficient funds. Please locate more oil and crystals, and construct additional drones.
  20. -salutes- Aye aye, Captain! I will be expecting either a satisfied pat on the mane or an angry throttle.
