1. I'd say yes Val, and BTW everybody it's the end of half term over here in England so I will be posting less often.
2. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF- I guess you have a point Eclipse, I just wanted Free to go insane, and he thought that he wad the only one who knew about it, so the two just kinda mixed. But it wasn't really for the group, think of what information like that could do to the GEF..... -insert evil finger triangle of doom here-
3. DUNN DUNN DUUUUUUUNN! And so, Free finally joins the ranks of the insane and reveals Twi's secret, full on joker style.
4. Free's head was still locked to the floor, his eyes in a widened state of shock. He heard snippets of the conversation, but he was too locked in his thoughts to pay any notice. His love.... His purpose.... For five years he had been imprisoned, he had fought for the name of the principality, he had been deceived..... Luna's face flooded his mind, refusing to allow him to think about anything else. Panting, Free reached for his communicator, his hoof shaking. Breathing heavily, he clicked it once. "Alpha inForce, stand down and return to base. The situation is under control in here....." Free trailed off, finding hard to hold his tone. Reaching for his flask, he took a few greatful gulps of the alcohol. It cleared his mind a bit, and he looked up to the others, managing to just barely regain his composure. Nodding in agreement at Karrthus and Draco's words, the stallion turned to face Twilight. Walking over to her, his face darkened. He knew who she was. Why shouldn't everypony else? "Oh I'm sure you'll be able to handle it Twilight." Receiving odd looks from the gathered group, his face broke into a cold smile. "After all, 'not even the princesses could withstand your magic, now could they? And wasn't it such a coincidence that you just happened to take a five year absence while all this turmoil was at it's peak? Surely, the most powerful unicorn in all of Equestria could handle this threat, isn't that right....... Red Fox." By then, Free's small smile had turned into a mad, insane grin that stretched from ear to ear, and he was chuckling between words, his traumatised mind finally giving in to the madness that had slowly been creeping into his soul as of late. Ending his mad chuckling abruptly, the grin was wiped from his face as he took a step closer to the mare. "Now how about you admit it for yourself, you sick, twisted b****."
5. Ooooo..... Do I sense a free/striker fight scene coming along? And Val, I have to agree with Mustang on on that post, I didn't expect you had THAT up your sleeve this whole time. BTW Mustang.... I saw him first! >:U -hisses-
6. Not even a second after Marcian's extremely unwise comment, Discharge's knife came flying past him, missing him by just barely an inch, landing in the wall with sparks of electricity sparking and crackling off of it. Walking up to the large dragon fearlessly, Discharge stopped so that the Brute's snout was centimeters away from the stallion's mask. Glaring at him through the dark, black eyes of the mask, he breathed out slowly. "Show some respect." He said in a bland, but extremely unnerving tone. Walking past the dragon and to the front of the now active teleportation circle. Turning back to the group slightly, he said, "I'll scout the drop zone out, you five ready up." Giving a small nod towards Luna, he stepped into the circle, disappearing in a quick burst of white light.
7. (le phone post) Free huffed and waved his hoof towards Striker, agreeing with the insane Pegasus. Getting up, the general was about to make a point to the madpony when he unfurled his wings, creating an explosion of brilliantly bright light. Free tried to shield his eyes with his hood, but the damage was already done, and he suspected he had temporarily lost sight in his left eye. Looking around with his one good eye, he found himself, the rest of the group that had gathered in the square, and the 'prophet', encased in an empty, white void. Sighing and pulling out his revolver from under his cloak, the stallion took aim at 'prophet', but let out an audible yelp as the handle of the weapon suddenly became boiling hot. Dropping the useless firearm, he clicked his throat Mic. "Baxter, come in." Static met his ears. "Repeat, Baxter, come in!" Growling in frustration, he clicked the communicator off. Until then he hadn't been listening to 'prophet', or as he had now revealed himself, Lunar, but then he heard words that bit into his heart. "And ex-lover." Free's eyes burned in anger, sorrow and rage as the words were said. Princess Luna, the mare he loved...... Shaking his head, he attempted to clear his mind, but found himself unable to do so. Memory after memory of his time with the princess surfaced, of some of the best days in his life. His head locked to the floor, Free took a step closer. "Who..... Do you think..... You are!" He yelled, drawing his knife and throwing it at Lunar hatefully, not caring if he missed or not.
8. (phone post, so no colour.) Discharge ground his hoof into his mask as Livewire appeared in his normal, insane way, reaching behind his head and letting down his long, but unkempt mane from the ponytail it had been in, another way to keep his identity a secret. Walking closer to the the southern map, he drew a circle around the area of the forest with his knife. "Princess Luna," he began, as he always showed great respect to the royals for what they had done for him. "Is there any idea if this 'doomsayer' has any accomplices? Plus, it may be a better idea to split up, that way we could cover more ground in less time. We have no idea how many nooks and crannies this assassin could be hiding in." As always, Discharge was straight to the point, having no need for banter and the like when a mission was concerned. "And if I may," he added, "Why send us? Surely there are more suitable operatives for the job, maybe a team not so...." He looked around the room at his comrades, trying to find a word that wouldn't offend them. "Different to one another." He finished, hoping he hadn't stepped on anypony's hooves.
9. Discharge chuckled lightly under his mask, lifting it and flashing a quick smile at Storm Hammer. Pulling the mask back on, he walked into the briefing room and leaned against the back wall, taking out his knife and tossing it into the air repeatedly with practised accuracy. As usual, Fyre was sat at the front with a stupid grin on her face, which from what he could tell from the missions he had been on with her, never came off. Marcian was sat looking extremely unimpressed, while Tank was still coming. It looked like everypony was here except Livewire, who was yet to show. Staying as silent as he normally was, the masked stallion nodded towards Tank as he walked into the briefing room. As he continued to toss his knife, he began to drift off daydreaming again. Unsurprisingly though, he didn't miss a beat with his knife, he had done it so many times now it was natural to him.
10. CUTP HQ Discharge hurriedly finished off his extended lunch as he heard the alarm sound. Grabbing all the plates, he tried to make a dash to get them all to the wash bay. But being the clumsy stallion he was, he dropped most of them, which were luckily made of plastic. Laughter rang out the dining hall, but Discharge was very used to it. "Sorry everypony!" He said as he smiled dumbly and picked up the plates, dropping them into the wash bay. In fact, he wasn't Discharge to most ponies. Discharge was a pony never seen or heard, who always wore a white mask with the purple lightning bolt through it's eye. He was just some other random stallion, who probably only had a small power like increased intelligence or something. This fake identity was to protect ponies from knowing what he had done in the past. He had killed an entire town,....... The stallion had gone up into the mountains to brood on the event, until Celestia found him and invited him to the coalition. She had offered him a new identity, and a clean slate at life, even after all of the terrible things he had done. Of course, he had taken the invitation first chance, and now only a select few, unfortunately including his team mates, knew who he really was. But he had kept the nickname he had been called so many times since the event, as a reminder to never let something like that happen again. "The Black Reaper." It still haunted him. Shaking his head, he got up and ran down the corridor to the briefing room, pulling on his overcoat and mask, slipping his knife into his utility belt. Spotting Storm Hammer, he ran to catch up with him. "What do you think has happened now? Me and Livewire are both here, so it must be big." Discharge said, slowing down so he could talk.
11. Well, as Logan Grimnar once said, 'THERE ARE NO WOLVES ON FENRIS.' Besides, all I need to dish out some damage is a pack of long fangs and my rune priest. Oh and of course, the thunderpuppies. LOTS OF THUNDERPUPPIES.
12. This sounds like a lot o' fun, so you can count me in. Character Name: Discharge Nickname: 'The black reaper' Race/Species: Earth pony Physical Description: He has a mostly average build, and is pretty normal looking. But underneath this lies a very strong and fast stallion, able to hold his own in any fight. His pelt is a grey colour, and his mane is black, long, and very unkept. He is known to eat a huge amount as well, but this helps him sustain his fitness just as much as working out would. His cutie mark is a blue bolt of electricity. Power/Skill: He is able to discharge electricity through touch, or through other conductors, such as metal or water. He is also very adept in freerunning. Weapon of Choice: His weapon of choice is a two bladed knife, which he can either use on it's own, or can attatch to a metal grappling hook from his belt, which he will throw at and use to electrocute his enemies. He also wears a white mask whenever he is in the field, with black eyes, a purple lightning bolt through one, and a large red smile. Background (Before the Sunburst): Discharge has no memory of what happended to him before the sunburst, except for his name, and that he has a sister somewhere. What he doesn't know was that he used to live quite a happy life, except for the fact that his father was a top-class assasin. After the sunburst he followed in his fathers hoofprints, tracking down his targets and killing them with ruthless, emotionless efficiency. Soon after though, he decided to join the coalition, after the actions of one of his assasinations caused the death of an entire town. Ever since that faithful event, he was known as 'the black reaper'. Personality: Most of the time, Discharge is a very cheerful, clumsy stallion, often passing himself by as just another normal person to people who don't know of his gift, But when he has too, he can turn into a cold, unthinking killer, who will do anything and everything to get the job done, even if that sometimes endangers his teammates.
13. OMGJSOAHAUZH -le fangasm- I play 40k religiously, so you can count me in. I shall go as the space wolves as well.
14. I don't want to seem naggy, but when will the next post be? I'm itching to see what this 'prophet' has in store!
15. Free Quickhoof (Equinia main square) Free groaned as Chronarch appeared, he would only serve to make the situation worse. Then Karrthus arrived as well........ Celestia, his plan was in ruins. Frowning as this 'prophet' openly invited him to the stage, Free Kept his hood rolled over his face and moved through the path the crowd had forged, ignoring the jeers and curses being thrown at him. He leapt onto the stage, before pulling down his hood and looking the mad pony in the........ Hood, apparently, as Free could scarcely make out anything beneath the shadowy veil. He was about to say something, but then he spotted the purple mare being dragged through the street. His eyes widened as he realised it was indeed Twilight, but she had regained her original colours. Another mystery about the mare....... He watched blandly as she awoke, obviously confused and distressed about the situation. This wasn't the Red Fox.......... The Red Fox wouldn't even let this happen........ Something had happened to her. Putting the thoughts aside, he walked closer. Catching the mare's cautious gaze, he shook his head. He had no intention at all to harm her. Free clicked his throat mic once, checking in with Baxter, before he spoke out in a loud voice. "You have us all here now. Who are you, and what do you want?" He sat, pulling out a small canteen and taking a drink of the alcohol. Of course, the crowd was stunned by the casualness of the commander, he even had the nerve to drink openly in front of all of them. (too lazy to make a new post )
16. Well, Free just dropped himself in the crud anyway, so I guess he'll be seeing Twilight soon enough.
17. Applejack (Rainbow Dash's bedside) Applejack frowned sadly as Twilight pushed past her. "Twi..........." She whimpered as she walked away, punching the wall in frustration. She missed the purple mare deeply, and discovering she was still alive was one of the best things that had happened in a while, even if she was on the opposite side in the war. Shaking her head, the mare walked through the door and sat down next to Rainbow Dash. Looking over at Gilda, she smiled weakly. "Heya Gilda. How have you been?" She said, looking back down at Dash. "Sorry about what happened at the peace negotiations. I think everypony was a bit too stressed out at the time." It was the exact same story for Dash as well, she wished she hadn't been so harsh to the pegasus when they first met each other again. Free Quickhoof (RLF tents/equinia main square) Free raised his eyebrow as the soldier rushed into the command tent, telling of the mad 'prophet.' Grunting as he got up, he walked over to the table and picked up his hooded cloak, his knife and a large revolver in case things got nasty. "Baxter, have your team on overwatch, I want to go in there alone. And you." He turned back to the evidently distressed soldier. "Contact the other faction leaders and tell them if they want to come, they can. But apart from that, I would like to speak to this 'prophet' uninterrupted. Oh and find commander Applejack, I need her to watch the base while i'm gone. Baxter, i'll radio in when I find this trouble maker." Walking outside the tent, he called over one of his teleporter unicorns. "Equinia main square please." He told her, who promptly replied yessir and powered up her horn. Free shook his head as he warped from the RLF tents to just outside the main square. It was an unnerving sight indeed. Hundreds of mares, stallions, gryphons, even dragons were all cheering for this madman. Frowning and pulling on his hood, he began the trek through the crowd of angry citizens. As he pushed past one stallion, his face flashed quickly. The stallion's eyes widened and he pointed a hoof at Free, who sped up quickly. Murmurs spread throughout the crowd, and soon enough ponies were yelling and pointing at the hooded individual making his way towards the stage. A couple of traitor GEF guards and RLF soldiers got word of Free as well, and they soon stopped the stallion in his tracks. "You're not going anywhere." One of the guards said, reaching for some hoof dusters. Free remained silent and kept his hood down over his face.
18. "Same here on this end. And please, call me Logan." 077 Replied through the radio, stopping to to look down at the ground. Tracks. And they looked fresh too. Getting back up, Logan slung his Grenade Launcher, sliding out his large bowie knife from it's sheath on his shoulder. "Do you really think you need that sir?" A metallic British sounding voice sounded in Logan's head. "Never know what could be out there London." The stallion chuckled at his. A.I companion. "Now be useful and try to get the sensors working please?" He finished, putting his bland, emotionless voice that only years of military leadership could forge back on.
19. Free Quickhoof (RLF tents, alongside Alpha inForce) Free took another swig of the thunderneigh ale, relishing the taste and swirling it round his mouth. The past couple of days had been hell for the stallion, he had to help with the rescue efforts, organise his soldiers for reconstructing Equinia, and he had also been thinking non-stop about his revelation. "To be truthful Baxter, I don't really believe it that much myself. But when me and Twilight were facing off, she said something about 'not even the princesses could surpass my magic.' And who killed the princesses? The Red Fox. Plus she has been away for the past five years, which I doubt was due to 'feelings.'" Free shook his head and rubbed it with his hoof, he had a headache that had been plagueing him for a while now. The stallion frowned as he looked out of the command tent, wondering what was going to happen in terms of the war. Of course, there had been the cease fire between the two warring factions, but that hadn't put his mind to rest. Constant thoughts of how the negotiations could go wrong flooded his thoughts, and he wondered if there ever really was going to be a permanant peace between him and the GEF. "All I know is, Twilight does not want anypony near the crown, no matter what she says, and that this war is not over by a longshot." Applejack (The citadel, Rainbow Dash's bedside) Applejack walked down the hallways of the new citadel, not sure why she was visiting her past friend. She had hated Rainbow Dash indefinitely after the revolution, the cold and thoughtless puppet of the Red Fox. But still, she felt compelled to go to her, as she was once one of her oldest and once most loyal friends after all. As she trotted towards the room the mare was sleeping in, she recieved lots of attention from the nearby guards, who jeered and frowned upon her. Of course though, Applejack just shook her head and continued onwards. The orange mare breathed in and out deeply as she reached the door, before knocking and heading on in. She was a bit surprised to see Gilda and Twilight there. "Oh uh.......... I'll just come back some other time." Applejack said sadly, she didn't want ANYTHING to do with Twilight at the moment. She would just have to visit Rainbow Dash another time. "Sorry for bothering ya'." She said solemnly as she began to close the door slowly.
20. "Rodger Miranda. Moving in on your position." Spartan 077 said through his operator helmet as he trudged through the undergrowth. The heat played hell with his sensors, so he held his Grenade Launcher out in front of him, expecting to be attacked at any second. The blur of dark and cyan blue armour moved swiftly through the jungle, wanting to find the distress beacon and be done with it.
21. Lightning coughed and shook his head as he stood up from the flat on his back position he must have teleported in. The academy was magnificent, he had seen nothing like it before. The crystalline surface sparkled with what looked like a magical radiance, and he wondered who would be able to channel such a powerful spell. How many novices had walked the same steps he now did? The colt struggled to find a definite answer. Looking over at Cloudmane, he laughed as Tundra froze his mane. The prank was obviously good natured, as Cloudmane smiled and made a mental note to get back at the frost dragon. Lightning looked over at Pupil and raised his eyebrow at her question, it was extremely obvious. Some of the deadliest Scaleheart warriors he could recall were actually in fact very adept politicians as well. At the mention of dorms, Lightning sighed a bit. He had been cooped up in a dorm most of his life, with noisy roommates and idiotic neighbors. He would just have to hope that he didn't get a complete idiot for a roommate. And if not, well..... He would just have to deal with it. Shaking his head, he cleared the thoughts from his mind, focusing on the present.
22. Lightning grinned as the portal opened, his heart thumping with excitement over the fact that this really was it, once he stepped through that portal nothing else would matter anymore. He laughed as Reina yelled, and began to ready himself to charge as well. Lightning made sure his headband was wound tight over his forehead, and stated quietly, "Here goes nothing!" With those last words, Lightnig plunged himself into the swirling mass of blue energy.
23. Lightning nodded his head as Cloudmane answered his question, walking back over to the others. When the pegasus mentioned saying goodbye to their family though, he sighed and dropped his face a bit. He had visited the place where his parent's ashes were scattered yesterday, a small forest which he loved to visit. The colt looked over at Stygian and Tundra, frowning as they prepared the teleportation spell. He had assumed that the Stygian was at least able to perform advanced magic, but teleporting a large group was something else. But he had been living with the very dragon himself that had made the legendary pact. As Lightning thought this, his mind began to wonder again. He had seen Spike briefly at the festival, but apart from that, the world famous dragon remained a mystery to him.
