  1. I'm finding out more and more that it's not nearly as limited as I thought it was! I've never really drawn anything on the computer before a couple days ago. I have drawn a lot with pencil and paper, however. Look at what I'm working on! Completely hand-mouse drawn. I'm sorry I slandered you, MS Paint. I'm actually enjoying your capabilities! Should I add in the background and try to get the rest of Filly Pie, or leave it?
  2. Is that spoiler in my post working for you guys? It doesn't work for some people I've tried to show these images to... Should I just post them instead of the spoiler? They're a little big. Haha.
  3. I don't really like football in all honesty. It's kind of cool to look through the play-books and read all the explanations of what the ideas behind the plays are and everything. I played football and it was okay. I was big enough, but not really motivated enough. I kind of like simulation football. What I really like is simulation physics. So I can't really share any enthusiastic love for football with anyone here. It's okay. I appreciate it. What I can share with you is this: The Equestria "Bronies". So, I began in the idea that I wanted to create the home outfit based on a mix between Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash. I wanted to create the Away outfit as a mix between Applejack and Fluttershy. I wanted the logo to be Rainbow Dash's Cutie Mark. I realize that RD's Cutie Mark is actually YELLOW in the middle. I'm changing that now. But in all honesty the Away just looks like Applejack... What do you guys think? Monstrosity? Cool? You don't care? Comments!
  4. I've actually never had any real problems with serious anxiety until recently. Within the past few months I've found myself unable to function at a normal level within crowds because I become so anxious and nervous. I find myself becoming nervous when I'm doing nothing but playing a game. Sometimes I start getting antsy just playing Zelda and I get extremely uncomfortable and worry myself to death over where my life's going, and what I'm doing right now. I shouldn't be playing games, I should be improving my life! I just don't know how! Then it all escalates from there. However, I kind of refuse to talk to a doctor about it. Call me a little paranoid but I refuse to take medication for mental issues. I see it as something that can be overcome. It's more of a personal test than an illness, to me. Yes, though, I do have serious anxiety issues, as of late.
  5. Nah, not really. I can't say for sure how I'll be around the masses, buutttt... For instance, me and one of my friends just finished watching about 3 hours of Friendship is Magic on his laptop, and we were talking about it and making jokes in front of his family. His Dad stopped to make fun of us and call us fairies and stuff, and he was like, "Which one's your favorite?" I responded, "Pinkie Pie! The pink one. She's not on screen right now, though." He just kind of walked outside, and never really said much about it anymore. People seem to just deal if you really own up to it. I was concerned about my family for a lot of reasons but it all kind of panned out. First I had to tell my Dad because I wanted to order a pony shirt off of RedBubble and he's the only one who has a Paypal account in this house. He was weirded out for a second but he kind of just dealt with it because I think he understands that I've not always been the most masculine fruit in the basket anyway. I've always had a very soft spot in me. I was worried about my brother, and he started asking me questions about the shirt I ordered. I told him it was a new show and he asked what, so I told him it was Friendship is Magic. He was interested for a bit and watched some of the show, but after he watched it he refused to give it a chance for some reason. That's okay though, to each their own. We'll see what happens when I try to go to school and get ridiculed by some of the not-quite-so-nice and partially-backwards people around here. It shouldn't be a big deal. I'm prepared to tolerate and then love. Maybe just tolerate, because loving is a bit of stretch for some of these people, but we bronies should always try.
  6. Ah, I saw this last night on this ol' place, actually! I found it pretty funny and was decently stoked that Know your Meme finally decided to do it! I posted in on Facebook and got a few of my friends to watch it and do the same for their friends. I tagged a few people who have openly expressed that they don't understand our fan-dom and told them to watch it.
  7. Ah, I was actually listening to Celestia Radio last night at 4:20 AM here, while playing solitaire on my desk with some cards, when one of the DJs came on live to announce that Daniel Ingram's new song had just been released 5 minutes ago! It was 5:20 AM, apparently, for him, though. I was actually pretty stoked. He played it about 5 times in a row. Haha. It felt good to be the one hearing something right as it was released for once! That being said, I like this version. It's more fun to listen to, and easier on the ears than the other, just a little. It also doesn't fit Pinkie Pie quite as much as the one they went with, however. The Hop, Skip, & Jump from the show was barely even tonal, and that's kind of how Pinkie Pie can be with her songs. It's more energetic and less composed and sensible. So, the used one fits for the show, this one fits for my mp3 player! Not that the other one's not already on there too.
  8. I actually was looking at the Friendship is Magic wiki and reading the profiles for every character they have up, when I decided I need some fellow pony lovers to talk to! So, I meandered on over to the 'External Links' section and found Canterlot listed as being 20% cooler than other communities. I bookmarked, went back to watching the show, then came back after a few months. Then I joined. Here I am.
  9. Get The Fratellis' album, "Costello Music" Get the Paper Tongues album, "PAPER TONGUES" Get Goldfish - "Soundtracks and Comebacks" Get Goldfish - "Fort Knox" Get Goldfish - "Get Busy Living" Those are the only things that come to mind that I know you'll like. At least, I'm pretty sure you'll like. I've never shown them to someone who didn't like them, anyway. From this point on, only things that I'm not sure you'll like but I really, honestly do! Listen to Jonathan Coulton's entire discography. I love Jonathan Coulton so much. Listen to "Bathtime in Clerkenwell" Listen to "Don't Stop" by Patrick and Eugene Listen to "Puzzle Pieces" by Saint Motel Listen to "Colors" by April Smith Past that, I don't listen to a lot of newer stuff. Almost my entire mp3 player is made up of oldies ranging from the 50's to the early 70's. Mostly the 50's though. A little 40's. If you want any oldies or easy-listening type of music, I'm the pony to ask! I love some smooth jazz and gentle acoustic. Of course I doubt you do, nobody seems to really share my love of gentle music.
  10. That is an amazing idea for the set up. I actually feel very much like I need to try and find a way to make something like this come to fruition. I can't even imagine how satisfying it would be to get a pack of these.
  11. Haha, I've been known to stay up pretty late, admittedly. I'm sure your art will turn out very well indeed. Ah, haha, I mean, what it an artist but a talented doodler, really? Doodles are art, of course. I learned to draw by doodling. You could say I learned to doodle better by doodling. In any case, I'd love to see it when you're finished. Have fun working on it!
  12. (Sorry, ahead of time, if this isn't the right spot for this. It struck me as a rather general sort of topic, being so off the top of my head.) You know, personally I'm a huge fan of playing cards. Standard, Ace through King with two Jokers, 52 pack playing cards. I think it would be extremely cool to have a Friendship is Magic pack of playing cards. Does anypony know of a place where you could buy custom made cards? Perhaps some place that already does this, which would be amazing. Imagine how amazing it could be to play Ginger Mint's FiM RPG with a real pack of FiM playing cards! I would have to buy several packs! One for display, one for use, and maybe a few more just because it's such a legitimately fun idea! Who does everyone think belongs on the different Jack, Queen, King, and Ace cards?
  13. Haha, welcome to you too, Jimbo! Hope I see you around a bunch! I just realized how absolutely spotty my avatar is. That's no good, better re-upload that one. Thanks! Ditto for you - did you join up for the Dream Foal contest? I guess I shouldn't assume everyone is as late as I am, LOL! I wonder how well I can draw in the dark... XD I uploaded my avatar to Photobucket, it seemed to work well! Are you resizing it from a bigger version when you upload it from your computer? That's the only reason I could guess it might be spotty - if it's automatically resized by the board program, it might go a little funky. Doing it manually via Photobucket or whatnot might make it less grainy - but that's just been my personal experience, and I am VERY far from an expert, LOL! Good luck with the fix! Haha, well, I actually just ended up swapping it for another Konata avatar that happened to be lying in my inventory. I didn't really feel like messing with it right now. 3:15 AM and all that. I actually did not sign up for the Dream Foal contest. Currently I am enjoying my fourth straight month of not touching my sketch-book or other art materials. I did so much art and drawing back to back over the past year that I was kind of sick of picking up pencils for the purpose by the end of the school-year. Footnotes had thousands of little drawing all over them, four paintings I finished, two photography projects, and a sketch-book and a half full of drawings of people's faces and profiles. I sort of became a profile artist for awhile there because everyone enjoys the drawings and I wasn't too good at it when I started. After awhile it all became smooth calculation and busy-work; even though I consider myself pretty good at it now, I don't really want to do it anymore. Haha. I am, however, looking forwards to checking out the entries and the winners. It's a very good idea, I'm just so sick of creating art right now, even though it's starting to wear off a bit after a few months. I'm enjoying the art from the other side, I suppose.
  14. Ah, thanks for the handy reminder! And yes, as you could probably guess by my avatar I happen to watch a bit of Anime here and there. Sadly I've kind of stepped away from it over the past few years, probably just because of a lack of things that interest me. I'm always kind of in to the casual, slice-of-life Anime that simply show some people going about their natural lives and letting the humor and interest flow from their normal occurrences. "Azumanga Daioh!", "Lucky Star", and "Minami-ke" are some sure examples. Regardless of that block of random information... I went ahead and re-read the rules. I don't plan on causing any sort of trouble on Canterlot, that's a definite promise.
  15. Haha, welcome to you too, Jimbo! Hope I see you around a bunch! I just realized how absolutely spotty my avatar is. That's no good, better re-upload that one.
  16. Haha. My only concern right now is just getting to 18 and getting to college without going absolutely batty by that point.
  17. That's what I'm hoping to do~ Thanks! I managed to already mess up my age though. Just had a birthday recently, you know how that gets.
  18. So, I actually bookmarked Canterlot a month or so ago, but I couldn't be separated from watching the show, buying a shirt, and sharing fun fan pictures of the cast of FiM long enough to actually make any posts! Right, I'm 17, male, and live in Virginia, USA. What started as a brief question or two inquiring about all the pony avatars I was seeing in multiple places a few months ago became a near obsession of my own in a very short time. I'm impressed with the show, and I love how the community tends to behave. The friendliness and accepting behavior of each individual person is something I very much want to show in my attitude and spread around the world. Now for a few weeks I've been playing several different MLP songs on guitar and teaching them to my friends, "Giggle at the Ghostie" and "Winter Wrap-Up" being the most prominent. I'd very much like to be a part of any community supporting Friendship is Magic and I've heard from a good few that this is one of the best, and that's why I'm here. To talk about the show and meet some people who love it. [/abrupt ending]
