1. "In fact, I'm surprised you didn't take one look at me and run to the hills" "Well if you don't mind me saying I'm surprised you're not up one" Copper replied, chuckling. "What exactly brings a dragon such as yourself to Trottingham? And, more specifically, to my workshop?"
2. A wave of relief rushed over Copper. The dragon seemed to be acting politely, at least for the time being. "What, this?" Copper replied, indicating at the contraption sitting in the middle of the room. It appeared to be a large frame attached to the top of a stove, with some water, a small bag, and a teapot suspended from it. "Why, this is the prototype for my latest invention: The Pull-the-handles-to-make-the-bits-move-to-make-your-tea-in-a-room-that-isn't-the-room-you-would-usually-make-your-tea-in device: Modular Edition. I say modular because the last version I made was one piece, which worked perfectly in my house, but wasn't much use to anyone who didn't live in a house shaped exactly like mine. So this new version has this, the base module, which attaches to the top of your stove, and then the strings now run through wall mounted brackets. it works like this you see; You start by pulling on this thicker, dark, rope which turns on the stove, then you feed some slack into this orange rope to lower the teapot, this blue rope to pour water into it and this green rope to drop the tea leaves in" Copper finished, feeling rather pleased with himself, as he always did when he explained his inventions to others. "Any questions, mister, uum, uuh... Come to think of it I don't think I got your name. I'm Copper, by the way. Copper Mechgear, professional inventor and tinkerer. And you are...?"
3. All my chocolate peanuts melted in the car... to create one giant chocolaty peanutty blob! Delicious.

4. All my chocolate coated peanuts me

5. Uugh, the house next door is having a really loud party. Just great.

6. Copper looked at the dragon, slightly taken aback by his teeth, glinting in the light. "Yes, I need you to help me" Copper wasn't quite sure what to make of that. Nevertheless, Copper remained (as best he could) calm and collected. "Well, what ,ah, what is it you need help with?" He said, hoping the dragon's smile was earnest, rather than malicious.
7. Copper rubbed his eyes blearily. The commotion from outside had woken him from his morning lie-in. He often stayed in bed until the late hours of the morning, as he had never been fond of waking up early. And besides, his job didn't have fixed hours so why should he wake up early? However, this lie-in had been interrupted by the noise coming from outside. It sounded to Copper like an angry mob stampeding down the road. He was about to see what it was when he heard the front door slam. What could that be? Burglars? Jealous rivals come to steal his work? Copper didn't actually know anypony he might consider a rival, as he was yet to meet anypony who shared his line of work. But that was besides the point! He had an intruder in the house! But come to think of it someone trying to steal something probably wouldn't slam the door. No, whoever was there probably had no ill intentions. Copper hopped out of bed and walked up to the door of the workshop. The layout of his home suited him, just three rooms all on the same floor. His bedroom, his workshop, and a sitting room for reading and entertaining guests. He opened the door to his workshop. Everything was in place; all his tools on the desk, the finished contraptions on the left side of the room, sketches on the right wall, large imposing dragon standing by the door, his current project in the centre, the- wait. Large... Large imposing dragon... at the door? Copper felt a mixture of emotions: Fear, anxiety, worry, a bit more fear... but part of him, albeit a small part, was intrigued. Why was a dragon in his workshop? He seemed a reasonably well behaved dragon as he wasn't smashing everything to bits, or stealing anything. And Copper was so intrigued, that he simply had to say: "Good morning, er, sir. Can I, ah, can I help you?"
8. Well personally I say welcome! I'd be glad to have more people This is exactly why I wanted to keep this an open RP. I was thinking we should have it a "PM to join".
9. Sure! I did mention that I probably wanted to keep it open but of you think a private RP would work better I'm all for it As for specific details, I'm really not sure. Surprise me (Pleasantly if you don't mind )
10. To Huscarl: Bookworm Dragon sounds interesting! To Mystik: Great, she seems like an interesting character
11. Weeeell I was just thinking a some sort of scenario to introduce Copper to a few peeps and get to know some of Trottingham's residents and vice-versa. I mentioned in the app how he gets lost a lot so that was what I had in mind for a general setup. Sorry if that's not a very helpful answer, I'm quite new to this whole business!
12. Hello all! Well, I recently got permission to post in WoE and I'm looking to do some RP with my OC Copper. However I'm very new to this and don't quite feel up to just hopping into someone else's RP. So if anyone's interested, it'd be great someone wanted to start one with me. I was thinking just a simple slice-of-life sort of thing, preferably in Trottingham, which is where Copper lives. I was also hoping for an open RP as opposed to a private one. So if anyone's interested please reply or PM me! You can read Copper's app here:

14. Blimey. That went well. I didn't even have to change anything. Thanks a bunch! EDIT: Shouldn't I be able to reply to topics in the rp section now? I can't do so though.
15. I think my favourite pony from the entire show would have to be Babs Seed because arfghlgarghfl her accent! However, if we're talking favourite character from the show then a certain chaotic individual would be at the top of my list. Now I want there to be a Discord emoticon.
16. You know you're a brony when... You say "What the hay?" entirely by accident. You find yourself humming songs from the show without realising you started. You randomly ask your friend if you had a chimichanga made of cherries should you call it a cherrychanga or a chimicherry? You're on this website telling people that you're a brony when you do these things
17. Wow, thanks! I was really worried when I submitted this that someone was going to tell me I'd broken 57 rules and spelt everything wrong . So what happens now? (Oh and by the way it's Damian with an "a". That's just how I spell it )
18. Are you still taking requests? If so I would be ever grateful if you could draw my OC Copper (He's the one in my avatar) tinkering with some sort of Heath Robinson style machinery. Thanks a bunch!
19. Kunio, I'm in a similar situation. None of my friends know I'm a brony, and it's also pretty awkward because I used to be a total hater which kinda rubbed of on, well, almost ALL my friends, and one of my friends was a brony, who everyone teased and my older brother may or may not be a brony too. It's an arkward situation, to say the least.
20. Roleplay Type: World of Equestria Name: Copper Mechgear Sex: Male Age:Young Stallion Species: Unicorn Eye Colour:Green (See picture) Coat: Copper-Orange (Funnily enough!) He is also rarely seen out of his black mechanics jumpsuit. You're also likely to see small metal shavings and patches of oil( or whatever lubricant is used for machinery in Equestria) on his coat. Mane/Tail:Orange with streaks of orangey-red. His mane is messy as he doesn't really pay much attention to it, other than making sure it isn't so long it gets in his eyes. The same goes for his tail. Physique:Thin but clearly not malnourished, he is also slightly taller than most ponies. (Think slightly scaled down Film or Flam) Residence:Copper lives in a small workshop in Trottingham Occupation: Copper is a mechanic who spends most of his time working on elaborate mechanical contraptions (think Heath Robinson on a pony level) which he is terrible at naming. ( Stallions and mares, may I present the "You-push-the-bit-on-the-floor-and-then-turn-the-wheel-and-it-pours-your-drinks-for-you device!") However, because his inventions are named as such they don't sell very well, so he repairs household items and appliances to keep himself financially afloat. Cutie Mark: Three interlocked silver gears enveloped in Copper's dark red magical aura. (Although it's usually hidden by his engineer's jumpsuit.) Copper wanted to be an engineer, just like his Dad. However, Copper's creations were mediocre at best, because although he had many brilliant ideas, putting them together was very difficult. He just couldn't make the gears as precisely as he wanted, they always came out slightly wrong. They would have some teeth longer than the other, some would be asymmetrical, some would be simply too big or small. The tools were just so difficult to use with his hooves! One day, in frustration, he slammed on his desk, inadvertently sending everything flying. Instinctively , out of pure fear and shock, he grabbed everything with his magic before it could hit the floor. As he laid everything back down, he realised that by using magic he could use the tools with more freedom and manoeuvrability. Immediately he set to work and crafted a perfect gear. He made several more and within hours, he had built a fully functioning machine exactly the way his plans had shown it. Once completed, he felt a strange sensation and looked down to see his cutie mark had appeared on his flank. History: Copper was born in Trottingham to Steely Gears (His father) and Crimson Ribbons (His mother). Copper spent a lot of time as a colt in his father's workshop, where Steely repaired trains. This is where Copper found his interest in engineering as his father would show him the inner workings of the trains he worked with. He also got his cheery attitude from his mother Crimson Ribbons, who ran an embroidery shop. She would often leave him in charge of the till, which is where he grew accustomed to chatting to ponies he barely knew. It's clear he took after his father more though, as by the time he left school he knew he wanted to be an inventor. He left home to travel the world to gain ideas and inspiration. He returned home with a wealth of new ideas, bought himself a workshop and has been living and working there ever since. His parents have also recently had another son named Sooty Pistons who Copper loves to bits. A lot of Copper's inventions are devices designed with Sooty in mind, such as the remotely rockable crib. Character Summary: Copper a merry soul who is rarely in a low mood. He's very talkative and tends to ramble on about things, often getting lost in what he was saying. He will talk to anypony at all at length, regardless of whether he may know them or not. He always aims to be polite and is sometimes overbearingly so, putting far too many P's and Q's in his sentences. The one time he will not be polite, however, is if someone criticises his work. Copper is an excellent mechanic and is therefore brilliant at solving problems. However, spending his days with cogs and gears means he will take on a problem from an engineer's viewpoint, tending to forget to consider the personal side of things. Copper's other drawback is that he spends far too much time making sure that the little things all work, he is somehow able to miss the gapingly obvious problems. This happens both in his work and everyday life. When not in his workshop, Copper will most likely be taking a stroll around town. This is something he does often, as he finds he thinks best in the open air. So if you see him wandering the streets aimlessly, you can be sure he's deep in thought about how to fix the flaws in his latest device, or brainstorming new ones. Or perhaps he's just lost, which happens to him surprisingly often. Copper also enjoys reading, mostly about famous inventors and inventions, but occasionally dipping in to mystery novels. His logical, problem solving mind has also given him an affinity for chess. (Assuming ponies play chess. Is chess ever seen in the show?) There are, of course, things that Copper does not like. One of these things is when ponies consider his work "pointless" or "unimportant". This will trigger an angry rant from about how unquestionably important and valuable his work is. In his opinion at least. He also doesn't like people who brag, something which he tries to avoid doing. He'll defend his work, and possibly hype it up a bit if he's trying to sell, but never brag. Something which he doesn't dislike so much as fear is heights and flying. He will never go into very tall buildings, or ever ride a balloon. If he did this, he would most likely faint. Copper's goal in life is simply to become the most renowned inventor in all Equestria, by making countless devices to help make the lives of ponies more convenient and efficient. His machines are better than most because he uses his magic to get small pieces and delicate mechanisms in place, allowing for more compact designs. (For anyone worrying, all his devices are strictly mechanical. Just cogs and pulleys, no electricity or anything else involved!) Copper as you would see him at work Copper looking more formal.
21. Hi Cat! The reason for my schedule is simply because between getting home and the rest of my family getting back, those are the only times I have to do extended amounts of internetting. And the reason it's every other week is because I'm between houses and I don't have as much time in one of them. ( Nobody knows I'm a brony, you see.)
22. About Myself: I'm a Welsh born gamer, and I enjoy reading, climbing, and wearing various hats. How I found Canterlot.com: I googled MLP:RP. This was the first link and it looked friendly , too. How I became a fan of MLP:FiM: I wanted to see what all the fuss was about, and it turned out I really liked the show. My favourite main cast pony/s: Twilight Sparkle Soooo... What to put here? I suppose a hello and a warning that I haven't done much RP before, so don't go expecting super-amazing narratives. I should also warn you I have a bit of an erratic schedule and I'll probably only get to post Monday to Friday afternoons every other week.
