  1. My apologies. I forgot to put that in the application form. There we go ALSO I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE CLASS VARIETY. Not everyone needs to be an assassin or hunter. I'm actually limiting there to be only one Hunter position since the mentor I will be playing as is trained as a hunter. Application for my character: Name: Sentinel Charge Age: Stallion Species: Unicorn Coat and mane/tail color(s): Sentinel's mane is a light blue. Almost a grey actually but you can tell it is light blue. His coat is a sheer white. Mane and Tail style: Sentinel's mane is kept slightly above his eyes. It is swept to the side of his face to stay out of his way. His tail is rather long but doesn't touch the ground. Kept short as well to keep from tripping or slowing him down. Job before: Sentinel used to work with his father on his shop. His father was a blacksmith (Reason will be in his history) Desired field of Training: When he was first in the Guild he was undecided. Hunter was chosen for him. History: Sentinel at a young age was always wanting to leave and go do something. He hated working with his father at the smithy because he barely did anything. He didn't know how to do anything. He didn't want to be a blacksmith either. So the young Sentinel would often run off on his own and go play games with the other colts in Hollowfell. The young colt never showed any aspect of wanting to go and fight. Until the day he and a few other colts and fillies strayed a bit to far from the village. They crossed over one of the valley mountains and witnessed a battle taking place. Two armies were attacking each other and they were fighting over this plot of land. A tribal band of ponies on one side and an army of soldier ponies on one side. The young colt had no idea who the army of ponies were. But he noticed that there was a very small force of ponies that came in from the side. They were helping the army ponies. The ponies were using magic as weapons and they all timed their strikes perfectly. It dazzled the young colt's mind. He noticed the small group carried a banner title, "Hollowfell Guild". It was that day that Sentinel learned of the Guild. Sentinel waited and waited for the next day of recruitment so he could join the Guild. Finally the day came and the young Sentinel instantly loved it. He was undecided on what field to enroll in. Back in his day Assassin training was not offered. So he was actually enlisted in Hunter by a Mentor. He rose in the ranks and aged and actually became a Guild Hunter. Sentinel enrolled to become a Mentor at a young age. Young age for a stallion like Sentinel. In the end, Sentinel did become a Mentor. It is actually his first year to be a Mentor as well. The stallion awaits to see what kind of recruits he will see on the Day of Recruitment.
  2. The sun shined bright that morning. It casts its rays into buildings and onto tress and every living thing that walked Equestria. There was not a cloud in the sky thanks to the ponies that kept the sky clear. Times are different now. In the land of Equestria there was a medium sized village sitting proudly in the middle of a great plain. That town was known as the town of Hollowfell. This town was quite famous actually, which was strange since it was not a large city. No it was only a medium sized city complete with multiple wells and all. It had its share of large amounts of farms and stores and even had a schoolhouse or two. The town actually had a major road that put it right in the middle of two of the larger cities so it had many visitors come in from all over. The town had a little marketplace even and auctions and games took place there as well. Every building was made of wood and small amounts of stone. Stone was usually used as a base and not for effect at all. But in the big cities, stone was used in almost every building. There was a large river that ran along the north side of Hollowfell. It actually looped around and cut through part of the town, but there was a bridge connecting the two parts. A wooden bridge. But none of those things are what makes the town so famous. No in fact what makes the town famous is a large building in the shape of a rectangle on the outskirts of town. The building was actually the only building separated by the river so to get to it you either had to cross the river or take the bridge. But it was a large river so the bridge was always used. Yes this building, its large wooden structure and its three floors stands tall by itself. There are large banners that hang out of the windows of the building. One banner was red and gold and had a wolf painted on it. The other banner was scratched, tattered and torn and nopony could tell what the sign used to be on the building. Only the old ponies remember. And only a select few are still around. This building, was indeed The Guild of Hollowfell. The Guild was so renown for its way of producing some of the finest mages and assassins an enchanters Equestria has ever seen. The Guild helped train warriors for the battles at the Shores. The Fight for Dustor and even sent a few mages to help contain Ishkalah, known only as the Dark One. This Guild stands ready to accept a new surplus of ready ponies who are willing to test their limits and see what they can accomplish. Letters have been sent out and now the Guild stands ready, with its banners hanging out and its doors wide open. It stands ready to accept new members. But what the Guild, or the rest of Equestria doesn't know, is that while they have been sitting idly by..the doors of Tartarus have creaked open. The doors are slowly opening more and more each day. This is unknown to almost everypony in the land except for one, The Guildmaster. He is hoping this group of recruits will be the best the Guild has ever seen. All of Equestria is depending on it, they just don't know it yet. Are you willing to join the Guild to fight? ---------------------------------------- Alright. This is an idea I had for a while now and I finally got around to posting it So, your character can be either two things. He/she can be a new recruit looking to join the Guild He/she can be a mentor who will take a group of students as their own I will be playing a mentor. Which means I will only be accepting one or two other mentors, depending on players interested. Okay! Now for the specifics the Guild can train you in. Your character does not have to have any background with the field of training they accept . Arcane Magic - This field of training focuses on teaching young mages to hone their magical abilities to be able to use their magic as a deadly weapon. Learning such skills as basic fire to fire blasts and almost every element in between. Not only does it focus on dealing magical damage, but it also teaches the mages how to limit themselves and how to balance their Arcane powers. Arcane mages in the Guild usually work on learning new spells. Usually good for any job Enchanting - The field of enchanting focuses on teaching Guild members how to manipulate the battlefield. Enchanters usually don't carry a physical weapon for the first skill they learn is conjuring. A master enchanter can conjure any weapon of his/her choosing. Besides conjuring weapons this branch of magic focuses on teaching enchanters how to control the elements as well. Elements limited to: Wind, Earth, and Water. A skilled enchanter that has a high knowledge of their element can be a skilled warrior in combat. Usually good for bodyguard and wisdom jobs. But can go on any job. Hunting - The field of hunting teaches young ponies how to perfect the art of the kill. A skilled hunter doesn't need to be quiet he/she just needs to be smart. Hunting is among the least favorite among the fields the Guild offers. Reasons unknown. Hunting teaches ponies who are aspiring hunters how to lay traps and disarm traps. The field instructs ponies in the art of speaking many different languages. A skilled hunter must be smart in order to do his/her job. Hunters are limited to ranged weapons and are good at Hunting jobs. A hunter can go on any job. Assassination - The Guild's newest field they offer. This skill teaches young ponies how to take down any type of enemy with stealth. The art of assassination is a long road to take and takes a new recruit a long while to become the rank of assassin. This field teaches ponies the anatomy of most living things and the best points of place to strike. This field is unique in that ponies can't just walk in and pick the train in this field. But the ponies are picked by the Guild's assassins. Ponies who are in the assassin field are limited to daggers and smoke bombs. Nothing else. An assassin is the only pony that can do Stealth missions but he/she can go on any job. Paladin Traning - This field is the most common among the Guild. It is the most popular and if you speak to any of the Guild's Paladins they will tell you Paladin training is the most fun. Paladin training teaches students how to wield their weapons the correct way and how to fight without a weapon. A Paladin can use any type of weapon and have no restrictions. Paladins are the only ponies that have training in fighting with heavy armor. They are also the only class that can wear heavy armor. Paladins can use swords and longswords and any weapon in between. Paladins cannot go on Stealth jobs but are good at any other jobs except Hunting. Those are the "classes". With the Guild you are either assigned or select a field of training you wish to train in and the whole RP will consist of your character training to become a member of the Guild and graduate from Recruit. The Guild Job Board This is a very important aspect of the RP. In the Guild there is a board where anypony can post a job they need done. An example might be: Local Merchant pony needs transport protection to the next city. Accept? Some classes are better at jobs that are in their field of training. Such as Hunters and hunting jobs and Mages and research jobs. But every class can go on any mission. Throughout the RP a mentor and his group will go on jobs to show their worth to the mentor. But with the doors of Tartarus opening the jobs should get...complicated But nopony knows the doors are open except for the Guildmaster and his trusted officials. ---------------------------- So that's that! That is the whole premise of the RP! Here is the application form Name: Age: Species: Coat and mane/tail color: Mane and tail style: Job before he/she joined the Guild(if they had one): Desired field of training: History: (Tell how they learned of the Guild and why they decided to join: And that's it! I will post my application soon so I await to see if anyone is interested in this
  3. Casanova took the coupon and levitated it in front of him. He scanned over the words of the slip and then gently placed it in his saddlebag. He looked to Aloe with a generous smile. "This day just keeps getting better. Thank you. I'm certain you will see me visiting there soon." Locke was actually quite dumbfounded. All of those things for a pony's complexion could be found in volcanic ash? That was amazing! "Huh..learn something new every day right?" He smiled to both Casanova and Aloe. His ear's perked up once Aloe stated that she and her sister were originally from Trottingham. "Get out!" The stallion was rather exuberant. "I'm from Trottingham! Born and raised I was! But, I moved her to Canterlot in pursuit of work. And I have to say I love my job." The stallion kept his exuberant attitude. He was so excited, for he didn't meet many ponies that were from Trottingham. But as she told more of her story his smile slowly went away and he calmed down. "Well...at least things are going good right? Hate to hear that Miss Aloe...I'm sorry.." Casanova nodded in agreement with Locke after hearing the whole story. "Agreed. If anything to just..help boost business. I could spread the word of you fine establishment at one of my next gatherings. That is, if I have your permission." He raised an eyebrow to her. Locke became happy yet again. The spastic stallion looked to Casanova. "And will I be invited to this one?" He held his breath in anticipation. The brown stallion took a few seconds to think it over and decided what the hay. "Yes...I suppose. But a week before we will discuss proper etiquette. Understand?" Locke nodded to him. "Yes I do!" The two stallions each gave light laughs and then looked back to Aloe.
  4. Casanova quickly raised an eyebrow and looked to Aloe. "You are Miss Aloe? Your sister is Miss Lotus?!" A big smile grew on his face. "Ponyville Day Spa? I've heard only impeccable things about you and your sisters establishment. I myself have actually never seen your spa but I would love to visit it one of these days!" As Casanova was being...himself..Locke was actually impressed as well. Even though he had never gone to a Spa before he had heard the name Ponyville Day Spa spoken around Canterlot many a time. The place must be quite famous. But the thing that stuck out to Locke was the thing Aloe said she was here for. Volcanic ash?! For a mud bath?! No way! Locke would love to go explore a volcano! "Volcanic Ash!?" He then coughed nervously. "Apologies for the outburst. I know not a thing about Mud baths or spa treatments. I do, in fact, know a bit about Volcanoes." The stallion had a funny smile on his face. "I have decided that will be my next place to excavate. Mark my words I will do this! I will excavate a whole volcano!" Casanova laughed lightly. "So Miss Aloe. Are you originally from Canterlot but built your Spa in Ponyville? Or were you born and raised in Ponyville?"
  5. This was the moment. Well, this morning when Shady woke up was the moment. And when he forgot his camera was the moment. Also when he snapped the first picture of Sterling was the moment. Shady decided to consider all of those moments to be small moments. THIS, this was THE moment. Sterling had agreed to answer a few of Shady's questions! The little foal happily jumped up and down a few times as he laughed giddily to himself. He stopped and brought up his camera to snap another picture but stopped himself. "Oh yeah...warnings." The little foal's cheeks went red as he slowly lowered the camera. Shady trotted up and stood right next to Sterling. His little neck was nearly all the way back as he stared up to the stallion. "Walking and Talking is great for me!" Shady actually was fine with either. But to him it sounded like Sterling wanted to walk and talk. So they will! And after the first question Sterling followed it with another question asking if Shady had any questions in particular. Shady had a huge smile on his face and he reached down and went to pull out his notebook and pencil to write down Sterling's answers. But it would kind of hard to walk and talk with a pencil in his mouth and only being on three hooves. Oh well, Shady had a decent memory. So Shady decided it was time to ask his questions. "Alright! First Question: What is it like being a Royal Guard?" The little foal almost brought his hoof up as close to Sterling's mouth as he could to pretend it was a microphone. But he stopped midway.
  6. Locke rubbed his nose and scrunched it up a few times. The Diamond Dog's backside was rather hard and Locke was making sure his nose wasn't broken. After a few moments he assured himself it was fine. He tipped his hat back a bit and huffed. Maybe he was a bit clumsy.. "Excuse me... I couldn't help but notice the stumble and I came over to make sure you both were alright," Locke looked to where he heard the voice and noticed it was a mare whom he had never met before! The stallion gave a happy smile to her and appreciated her asking if he was alright. "Oh me?" He chuckled slightly. "You saw that then?" He nervously rubbed the back of his head. "Yeah...Uh...I was just distracted is all." Casanova then intervened and cast a glance to the pink mare. He moved his long blue mane out of his face and said with a happy sarcastic smile. "Not distracted. Just Clumsy." Locke then pushed Casanova back a bit. "Quit it would ya?" The stallion then gave a few chuckles. Locke brushed him off and looked back to Aloe. "I can't say I've seen you before then. What's ya name?" Casanova nodded in question agreement. "I as well have never seen you before and I know for a fact I would remember such a pony as yourself. Tell us. What is your name?"
  7. It was just a great day! Even for the odd pair of stallions that were spending the day in Canterlot together. The charcoal colored archaeologist, Locke Wind, who was currently wearing his archaeologist hat and matching pocket jacket. He was born and raised in Trottingham but he moved to Canterlot for work. And the illustrious Casanova, a stallion who preferred the prim and proper and was a member of high society. The stallion can seem snooty at first, but he is quite the charmer. The two stallions both lived in Canterlot and decided to spend a day together. The pair were trotting happily the bustling streets of Canterlot. "So Casanova. You plan parties?" Locke questioned the large chocolate colored coated stallion. The stallion returned a happy nod knowing that Locke knew of his gathering. "Yes I do. But I prefer to call them "Gatherings". Parties are what ruffians call them and where loud music is played and unfamiliar drinks are served. My gatherings provide a swell atmosphere and are always fun." The comment caused Locke to raise an eyebrow. He liked Casanova though, they had known each other for a little while but that just means there is still room for their friendship to grow. "Riiight...well..why haven't I been invited to one of these Gatherings?" Casanova stopped and panicked. He had known Locke for a bit but he had grown quite fond of the wiry stallion. "Uhh...I..uh...never know when you are home you see. What with you always being gone on excavations and such." Locke pondered what Casanova said and then smiled to him. "Well, at least you were thinking of me!" The stallions both smiled at each other as the crisis was averted. After a few turns and what not the pair continued to speak and such. "What do you mean I'm clumsy?!" "I'm just saying, when we stopped for that drink you tripped into that waiter causing the poor stallion to drop his whole glass." "Yeah..well...that was just fluke. I can't be clumsy being and archaeologist and all! I'm the most observant stall--!" Just then Locke's face met the back of a Diamond Dog. Locke fell over and landed on the ground. "Uhh..what?" "My point exactly." The brown unicorn chuckled slightly. Locke, picked himself up and dusted himself off. "Whoa..sorry there big fella." He smiled slightly.
  8. Excuse me I'm making perfect sense, you're just not keeping up.

  9. This just took a turn for the worst.

  10. Oh snap! I had forgotten about this haha Well if there is more interest you both are in!
  11. Shady proceeded to shake the stallion's hoof. He eventually and begrudgingly let go of his hoof and took a deep breath. He was so excited now! The Sterling Silver actually said "Hello!" To him! Shady rubbed his left eye and looked up to the stallion. The big smile still on his face. "So, you're Shady Daze then? You wanted to get an interview with me...?" "Theeeee one and only!" He gave a quick salute to Sterling and then laughed a bit. The little foal quickly brought up his camera and quickly snapped another quick picture of Sterling. With the flash on and all. After he took the picture he quickly switched the flash off. "I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to blind you!" The little foal proceeded to beat himself mentally reminding himself of how stupid he was and how much of a fool he was making himself look in front of Mr. Sterling. So after a few awkward seconds of silence Shady took a deep breath and calmed himself down. He then looked back up to Sterling and never realized how much taller he was than he was. Shady gulped and said, "Yes..yes sir. I was hoping I could...ask you a few questions..and...well..like uh..you said interview...you? I mean..if that is okay with..you ...sir." At this point Shady smiled a hopeful but awkward smile to Sterling. Why did he think interviewing a Canterlot guard would be simple? This stallion has more important things to do than be here with him! Or so Shady liked to tell himself... He tended to over think when he was nervous.
  12. Today was the big day! Possibly one of the most exciting days in all of Shady's life! The eager little foal checked his saddlebag before he set of out of his home to make sure he had everything. He was sure he did so he set off out to meet someone! But..sure enough out of Shady's eagerness he had forgotten his camera! The little foal quickly galloped back to his house as fast as he could and snatched the camera and wrapped it around his neck. He was really ready this time. So, Shady set out yet again. He had a skip in his step for he was just so excited! It wasn't common, or at least Shady thought, for foals to get to interview a member of the Royal Guard! Shady was sure that this would make for an excellent story for the Foal Free Press...once he cleared it with the editor in chief. But doing all of that was later. So Shady pressed on making his way through the crowds of ponies trotting faster than he ever had. He was approaching the spot he requested the stallion to meet but...what if he didn't come? Shady stopped dead in his tracks and froze. What if he didn't come? The little colt shook his head and assured himself that the stallion would be there. Now he was getting close. Shady passed the storefronts and almost stopped and window shopped a bit but he had to stop himself. He did get distracted by colors rather easily and all. But the next thing Shady was distracted by was what he had dreamed of. He saw him! The stallion he was supposed to meet! Shady jumped for joy and began to bolt towards the stallion but he accidentally collided with a rather bulky stallion. The stallion helped Shady up. "Watch where you're going next time kid." The stallion smiled and went on his way. Shady said nothing and ran up to Sterling. He knew what he looked like since he saw a few pictures of him when he chose to interview him. So without any more shenanigans. Shady raised his camera up to his eye and snapped a picture of Sterling, the flash was on so it nearly blinded a few ponies that where walking by. Shady then tapped rather repeatedly on Sterling's front leg. "Mister Sterling? Mister Sterling Silver?!" Shady's eyes went wide with amazement. He cleared his throat and spoke in his normal slightly nasally voice. "I'm Shady Daze! Nice to meet you!" The little colt extended his hoof for a shake with possibly the biggest smile on his little face.

  14. Heart got up and proceed to follow along with the group. He made sure he had all of his things that he had brought and sure enough, he had them. The stallion trotted along and kept to himself and just listened to the others speak. That was until Aureate came up to him and spoke to him. "So you're from Trottingham? I come from there to, you know. Lovely place isn't it? Say, have you ever met my cousin? An inventor-mechanic type, of the name Copper Mechgear." The Doctor nodded and gave a big smile to the stallion. "Oh yes. Trottigham is, in my opinion, the loveliest place in all of Equestria. Usually see most of the ponies that come into the hospital I work at with broken wings or forlimbs and what not. Usually from playing games or just carelessness. Trottingham is a rather large tourist vacation spot and all." He gave a laugh and then looked forward. He bit his lip as he thought. "Copper Mechgear...Copper Mech...Copper...no. I'm afraid I can't say I know him. You said he is an inventor does he have his own shop in Trottingham? If so I might just give it a visit when I get home."
