    So uh

Hey guys. Seems like I missed some serious business, huh? btw, I'll be catching up on RP threads I was part of and jumping back in where I can in the next few days
  2. GUYS I'M BACK. HEY. I'm so confused though dear god what happened. I'll have drawings soon :3
  3. Some pretty heavy business went down with my family over this past weekend, and I'm going to need to take about two weeks to focus on them, away from the internet in general. I know this leaves a couple of threads hanging, and I'm sorry about that. Please don't hesitate to move forward in those threads without me, fellow Equestrians, and if I can catch up once things are okay, I will, if not, no worries. I know I only just claimed Zecora, and if you guys would like to put her back on the available list I totally understand. Sitting on a character for a couple weeks without even starting her out is kind of crappy of me and I don't want to be a hog. Hopefully everything will smooth out quickly and I'll be back in the fold. Have a good couple of weeks, everyone

    Sleep Deprivation!

I only need to whine to get cuddles. He's very affectionate and sweet but doesn't like to be touched when it's time to sleep, and I'm the exact opposite. USUALLY I get my way, though. Ok, I get my way pretty much all the time. Wives are the final bosses of life.
  5. "Goodness!" Sealight exclaimed, picking her jaw up off the floor as the stallion finished. "Going up against a hydra on your own? And all to save a friend." She shook her head slowly. "You certainly do have more than your share of courage, and compassion. And what strength to keep on with your life! I'm honored to have you as my first guest." Sealight got up out of her chair and nodded towards the staircase. "Would you like to see the rooms? Perhaps a nap will help you feel better."
  6. Nope! No one's been claimed, so she's all yours! I'll send you the unmarked image I'm running 7, which is why I don't have the damn problem fixed yet. Not to mention I'm just too tired to mess around with it just yet. The tips I've gotten in this thread have been very helpful, though! Thanks

    Sleep Deprivation!

OH GOD TODAY IS HORRID. Last night was night three. I couldn't get to sleep until about 9 this morning after I got home, and I had to get up at noon and go to my other job, which I JUST got home from. My eyes feel hot and my brain sounds like this and my legs are killing me. This is making me feel super old. Now I need to go make dinner and take a page out of Rarity's book and whine until I get what I want. Which is for my husband to come be the big spoon so I can nap before going in tonight.
  8. Thanks for the tips, guys! I'll have to fiddle with my drivers and etc tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully I'll get it all up and running quickly!
  9. "Oh my, I'm relieved you didn't find my staring rude," Sealight chuckled, moving back to her seat across from the stallion. "I do love a good story, though, and if you don't mind sharing, I'd love to hear it." Sealight settled into her chair. She had loved listening to the sailor ponies tell stories of their sea adventures, and the dangers they encountered on the sea. From a young age she'd sat and listened to the crew of her father's ship trade scar stories, and the sea had seemed so rife with danger and thrills. By comparison, she'd grown to see the land as a much tamer and quieter environment. She had the feeling that impression was about to be shattered.
  10. So this week, my ever kind and considerate employer asked me to work the overnight shift, 10pm-7am, to help prepare us for a massive inventory audit next month. I have two jobs, mind you, and yesterday I worked 8 hours at my part time job and then immediately went in for this overnight shift at my full time job. By the end of the night I could barely function, I was dead on my feet, laughing at everything, totally ready to sleep. Or so I thought. I got home around 7:30 this morning and COULDN'T SLEEP. I just laid there staring at the ceiling o____o I did ultimately doze a bit, but I think I got a whole three hours of sleep, and at 10 tonight I get to start again! I'm seriously anticipating a combined single night's worth of sleep for the entire week, so tell me some awesome stories about staying up all night and having a grand old time (or a not so grand old time). Maybe it will distract me from my own misery. I know there are quite a few of my fellow bronies on the graveyard shift. HOW DO YOU DO IT.
  11. "That does look like it would get quite painful," Sealight observed, allowing herself to inspect his wing for a moment. It almost looked like there were teeth marks in the scar tissue. She tried not to think about what kind of monster would devour a pegasus' wing. "Well," she sighed briefly, her usual soft smile returning. "I'd be happy to have you. The rate here 40 bits a night, but if you're staying long term and would like to pay weekly that drops to 30 a night. All eight rooms upstairs are open and you're welcome to your pick of them. I serve breakfast and dinner, no charge, and I'd be happy to serve lunch as well at your request. There's no need to rush into any of that check in nonsense, though, dear. You seem like you could use a good long sit-down." Sealight got to her feet and opened up the windows, allowing the cool afternoon breeze to drift in from the lake. "So you say you're a traveler?" Sealight turned back toward Tobias. "Do you come through this way often?"
  12. So, fun story. My USB ports have pretty much stopped functioning, which means no tablet fun for me, and no drawing until I figure out what's going on. I absolutely will get these drawings done, as soon as I get that nonsense under control, so don't worry if you're on the list, just be patient! Until I get the issue resolved I wont be accepting any more requests, since I don't know how long this is going to take to figure out. Also, if anyone has any damned idea why the usb ports would just stop recognizing devices (but not stop supplying power, also my usb mouse works just fine but my tablet, headphones, and ipod/iphone aren't recognized) and how I can resolve that nonsense, please feel free to share your insight. I'm sorry I have to tell you all to wait even longer, I know these requests have been sitting around for a week now, and I feel bad for not getting any done, but I will! I promise. Thank you for being patient<3
  13. "Just a moment, dear," Sealight passed through the dining room into the kitchen and nosed into the freezer, pulling out a small block of ice and wrapping it in a dishtowel to carry back to her guest. She passed it to him and settled herself in the chair across from him, shuffling her wings as she settled into her seat. "I'm Sealight, and you're my first guest here. Are you just passing through, or do you think you'll be staying for a while."
  14. Sealight watched the stallion approach the inn, smiling to herself at the prospect of her first customer. As the pegasus approached, she noticed he had a slightly odd gait. As he got closer she realized he was favoring his wing, and that the wing in question seemed severely injured, though she was unsure how old the injury was. She turned toward him as he climbed the steps. "Oh my, of course!" Sealight got to her feet and opened the door, nodding for the injured pegasus to go inside. She led him through the lobby into the common room, nodding toward an overstuffed chair. "You seem like you're in pain, is there anything I can get for you? Some water, or perhaps a bit of hay to snack on?" She stood at the ready, eager to help in any way she could.
  15. It's all good, I've just already plopped her inn, also her home, at Nimbusgait, and I'm kind of fond of the location because it's somewhat central to a few major locations
  16. Well crap. I probably should have read this before making my post, I'd assumed we were headed for Nimbusgait, since they're the only close decently sized bodies of water on the map. If that's not where this is, then Sealight's hallucinating her inn elsewhere! Whoops. I'm going to edit that little bit out.
  17. The video that made me buy a ukulele. Click here to learn how to add YouTube Videos to your phpBB forum
  18. I've been busy as all get out too (as tempest is WELL aware, seeing as I've been neglecting our other thread horrendously--sorry!) so I certainly don't mind. Hopefully my crazygonuts schedule will be easing up shortly too.
  19. Dellios was completely lost in daydreams of the creatures Lola had listed, and what might happen in Everfree, but the jolt of the basket against the ground brought him back to reality. He shook himself and took stock of his belongings, scooping a few spilled things back into his bag. His eyes were drawn by the gemstones Ashton had spilled, they were worth well more than a month of wages for most of his father's employees. He made a point to look away before the unicorn could notice, the last thing he wanted was to incite any sort of suspicion from his new acquaintances. Theft was never something he'd allow himself to stoop to, but they certainly didn't know that about him. "I think I'll do a bit of exploring, myself," Dellios said, climbing out of the basket and slinging his bag around his neck. "If I don't catch the two of you at the inn tonight, I'll see you back here in the morning." He took off into the sky, eager to stretch his wings after being cooped up in the basket for so long, banking around the town and looking down on it with interest, his eyes flicking to the encroaching wilderness, the thought of a quick hunt crossing his mind. ((ooc - sorry about the absence guys, I'm getting close to two straight weeks without a day off from work and my brain is kind of fried, if you guys need to move the storyline alone and I'm not available, you can safely assume Del is trailing one of you without protest. Don't be afraid to send me a PM, though, if you need me here and it's been a day or so since my last reply. Work will be easing up soon, though ))
  20. Dellios couldn't help but be impressed by Lola's effort. He decided to keep that to himself, however, not wanting to come across as patronizing. He gathered up his own rope and followed Lola back down into the basket. She was starting to make him question his opinion of the upper class. Her heritage was obvious, but she had none of the disdainful air that other high society griffins he'd met carried. "What sort of creatures are we going to find in that forest?" Dellios asked. "I've heard some stories, but none of them were very specific. We won't be too high to see anything, I hope." The stories he'd heard had never been very specific. He'd honestly suspected the travelers who'd told them to be greatly exaggerating the monsters that called it home. He had, however, hoped they weren't exaggerating at all. ((ooc: I think a mishap grounding them in the forest for a bit would be perfect. As far as shifting into other threads, I think it's an excellent idea, and the thread over in Bareback Gulch, conveniently enough, is set in a tavern..))
  21. Dellios poked his head out over the basket's edge, closing his eyes for a moment and getting a feel for the air. The wind they had been riding was certainly dying down, and he'd already made up his mind to steer them to a better current. He climbed over the rim of the basket and launched himself into the air without a word, the basket heaving slightly with the sudden change in weight. Del had sensed the unicorn tensing up a bit at the conversation, and though he wasn't sure what was causing it, he didn't like it, and needed a brief break from the confinement of the basket. He wheeled around the balloon, getting a feel for the currents before settling on a direction to haul the balloon. He banked back toward the basket, perching on the side lightly, supporting most of his weight with his wings. "Is there something in here for me to hang on to so I can pull this thing?" He asked, peering into the bottom of the basket. "I think I've found a good current to get us into."
  22. Sealight: Sudden urge to move to the desert, becomes extremely lazy and shirks her duties completely. Babbles: Can't speak or write anything but compliments and innocent truths about everypony. Dellios: Is suddenly stricken with severe agoraphobia and develops an incredible work ethic.
  23. I love how enthusiastic and positive everyone involved in production is about interacting with the fanbase. It's.... ~magical~
  24. "I honestly hadn't thought that far ahead," Dellios admitted a little sheepishly. "I've never traveled this far, and I'm sure this journey will be far longer than any other I've taken. I've generally just camped out in the clouds when the weather's favored it, or holed up in a cliff with a fire when it doesn't. I suppose those aren't really options for you, Ashton, since you can't fly. Or for you, Lola, since there aren't many mirrors or bubble baths." He smirked, making light of her primping. He wondered if that were an upperclass habit, since he'd certainly never seen any of his female relations fussing with makeup or the like. "And, Lola, isn't Silverbeak old money?" Del decided to press his luck, she'd been tolerant enough of his presence and informality thus far, two things his father seemed to blame for their inability to climb further in the hierarchy. "Are you suggesting your own family is doomed? Or are you trying to single-featheredly steer them clear of that fate?"
