So I've been getting some of the details sorted for my Hunger Games Crossover fic when I had a realization. There are 6 districts and each district is sending 6 ponies to the Equestria Games as contestants/tributes. This means I need at least a bit of appearance info for 36 ponies! *Dramatic swoon* I could use some help working on these ponies. So here's where you come in! If you have a few spare minutes and are so inclined: Step 1 Go to this spiffy pony creator: http://generalzoi.deviantart.com/#/d47efz4 Step 2 Make a pony (pegasus, unicorn and earth ponies all wanted. Just don't use the non-standard wings on the pegasus). Step 2.5 (Optional) Come up with a name and short (2-3 sentence) personality for the pony you just created. Step 3 Grab the pony code and the image and either comment with them here or PM them to me. Then, once I have enough, I'll put the entries into a "hat" of some sort and pull out the winners at random, Hunger Games tribute style! The winning tributes creators will get a credit in the chapters where their ponies appear. That's all for now, here's hoping I get flooded with ponies! TTFN -Stardust

Thanks for reading! I knew when I started it that I didn't want to do a direct clone. I have a lot of tweaks and twists in mind to make it different from the original Hunger Games, but hopefully keep the spirit of it. I'm also going to try to not make it too gore-filled and grim, but since it is young ponies trying to kill each other, that will be hard.

Confound these ponies! They drive me to fanfic. Before I entered the black hole that is the MLP fandom, I never read fanfiction, much less wrote my own. Now, here I am, not only sloggng through Fallout Equestria and about five others all at the same time, but also attempting to start my very own crossover fic. At least, I think it's a crossover fic. I'm not really up to date on the fanfic lingo. So I had an idea for a crossover fic between MLP and the Hunger Games books. This will be my first attempt at writing a fanfic of any sort. I'd appreciate constructive critisisim and comments on it if anyone wants to offer them. Right now, all I have is the prologue. But I'm hoping to get the first actual chapter written up in the next couple days. I have one freshly approved child-dragon character, named Scuff (not ScRuff, just Scuff) looking for employment. He's had basic training as both a research assistant and general helper. Here's his info. http://www.canterlot...ragon-finished/ Due to his *ahem* issues with magic, unicorn ponies may want to think twice before hiring him (although I personally think it might result in some amusing hijinks).Pegasus and Earth Ponies would not (likely) suffer any ill-effects of Scuff's "anti-magic-aura". I've been involved with various forum based RPs for going on ten years now and I'd like to think I've gotten pretty decent at it. I'd like an RP buddy who can generally be on at least once a week to post when we have plot stuffs hatching. All interested ponies are encouraged to post here or send a message to Stardust (me). Links to RP samples are highly appreciated. Since I don't have any RP posts here yet, I'll give you a sample post from a character of mine on another forum. It's from about 3 or 4 years ago and I've altered it a bit so it'll be understandable out of context, but this is an average, non-intro post for me (though given enough to work with from my partner I can easily go longer).

Name:Scuff Sex:Male Age:Child Species: Dragon Body Color: Bright, sunny, golden yellow (hex code #FFD700) Markings Color & Style: White belly, tail, chin and toes. Faint, golden-brown tiger stripes on back from head to base of tail. Florescent orange head and back spines. Eye Color: Brown Wings: Pale yellow with florescent orange edges. A bit larger than usual for his age. They sometimes get tangled up and he trips on them Physique: Small and scrappy, he lacks the “cute” pudgy-ness of most dragonlings his age. He is all knees and elbows and is constantly tripping over his slightly overlarge feet. Origin:He was raised in the Canterlot dragon hatchery. Not much has happened in his life so far outside of going to little dragon school. He was never really bullied or really popular either. He wasn’t at the top or bottom of his class. Basically, his upbringing was almost painfully average. Roleplay Type: FiM/Show "Mane" Equestria Universe Occupation:Waiting to be assigned as a dragon assistant to somepony (any interested ponies are highly encouraged to send Stardust a message) Motivation: Scuff hasn’t really found his calling yet. At the moment though, his primary motivation is something along the lines of trying to make friends and avoid death by germs at the same time. Likes: Playing checkers, rock candy, marshmallows Dislikes: Germs, heights, dandelions Character Summary: Scuff is a rather pessimistic, somewhat paranoid little dragon. He is very much a germaphobe and carries around a little bottle of disinfectant everywhere he goes. He also has “hay fever” seasonal allergies, which are a real hazard in the fall since his little dragon sneezes are about half and half sparks and snot. Fortunately, he’s managed to get a supply of fireproof tissues. On top of his other problems, he is so unmagical that magic things tend to get unraveled whenever he is around. This can be quite an inconvenience, particularly in a very magical place like Canterlot. It is partly because of his negating effect on magic that he is the last dragonling of his class to be assigned to a pony as an assistant. He tries not to be bitter about it, but he can’t help but feel like he is something of a failure. While waiting for his assignment to finally come, Scuff spends his time reading, tutoring hatchlings and playing games of checkers against himself. He also runs errands and does odd jobs whenever he can find them, hoping that one of the ponies he helps pull weeds or wash windows will want to hire him on full time. With the rest of his classmates scattered around Equestria, Scuff doesn’t have any really close friends. He gets along fine with most of the other dragons and the teachers at the hatchery, but he doesn’t have anyone he can really talk to. Well, except for his stuffed toy turtle, Speedy. I heard about Canterlot while listening to the Bronyville podcast. I've been over to the chat and met some of the folks there. Everyone (or should I say everypony?) I've talked to here seems really nice.

I am definitely looking forward to playing around here with y'all. This is one of the best looking RP sites I've seen from a web design perspective. I do indeed RP and I signed up here specifically because I want to try some Pony RP. The first place I went was the Getting Started section actually. If you've been a newbie on as many different forums as I have, you learn to always read that sort of thing right away. I've had a lot of practice being a newbie.
