Inkbrand and Radiant Star taking the plunge. Neither of them are particularly happy or confident - even Inkbrand's lost his cocky grin - but they're both falling anyways, and that's what matters. I don't normally soft-shade pony pictures, but with an underwater scene, I thought it'd look way better than hard shading, give it a softer feel. I think it turned out pretty nifty! Next time I try something like this, I'll probably try to work on the lineart to make it more reflective of the soft feel. The golden-maned unicorn, Radiant Star, belongs to an off-site RPer I used to have tons of fun RPing MLP with. If I ever get in touch with her again, I'm definitely dragging her over to this site. A Boys Night Out for Inkbrand and his good buddy August, enjoying a little salt and some apple cider. I haven't had a chance to RP with August yet, but I have a feeling the two of them are going to be pretty epic once they start. A thousand apologies for butchering CaptainMcDerp's character! First time drawing a deer, and perspective has never been my strong suite. This picture has a bit of RP behind it. Long story short, Inkbrand coerced a friend of his to let him, Inkbrand, work in said friend's cafe for Hearts and Hooves day. Suffice to say, Inkbrand didn't appreciate the bland work outfit they gave him and decided to spice it up for the holiday. He had a good time. This is probably one of my favorite pictures of Inkbrand, despite it being rather old. It just showcases his personality really well, in my opinion!- 3 comments

My OC Inkbrand, the very first rendition of him. I actually had two OCs before him, but they both fell flat while Inkbrand flourished. Definitely my most developed pony OC. -
Thank you both very much! As for advice, not really sure what to say. When my other pictures are approved and uploaded, you'll see that I'm still struggling with both of those things myself - specifically faces, and even more specifically stallion faces. I say just look at references from the show or online tutorials to help you along! -

Tumblr can be a pretty decent place to showcase your art. They have a few blog layouts that are great for galleries.

Yeah, I've never liked DA, though I might have to give Tumblr a try. But it's all pony art, so uploading here will be ideal!
