Frain Breeze Posted July 5, 2012 Report Posted July 5, 2012 A simple question for all RPers. When a thread ends up going nowhere or is otherwise left incomplete, how does it affect the "canon" for all characters involved?Do we assume everything came to a reasonable conclusion, or did the events of the dead thread just never happen to begin with? If we say the storyline "did" run its course, do we leave the non-RPed events vague, or can we retcon a few bits here and there?
SonicRainboomGirl Posted July 5, 2012 Report Posted July 5, 2012 It really depends on the situation. At times yes, and at times no. I simply judge by severity of the event, but usually disregard everything.
RarityDash Posted July 5, 2012 Report Posted July 5, 2012 I tend to assume for my characters that the stories reached a reasonable conclusion. Saves me from having to have my ponies meet ponies more than once if they encounter them again in the RP somewhere.Though I guess it would depend on the particulars of the thread and how far along it got.
