[Private] The World R:2

Gildroy sat down at his desktop after a hardy dinner of coleslaw with a side of. He pressed his hoof up against the power button of the tower. The machine came to life with a low hum and a burst of air. Once the computer was all booted up Gildroy double clicked The World R:2 icon. He'd been spending a bit of time on the game and even had a single friend!

The game booted up and from the pregame interface he could see his friend was online, he sent a message asking if he/she wanted to play and to meet him in Mac Anu.

He selected his character, Kasimir, a griffon blade punisher, and logged into The World and awaited a reply.

Silvia was busy reading The World's manual when suddenly her friend, Gildroy, sent her a message and it popped up onto the screen. She smiled and sent a reply telling him that she'll be on shortly. Within a few minutes she finished reading, clicked on The World icon, and booted it up. Her friend Gildroy had just bought the game for her, and she was dying to try it out! She heard so many good things about it, why not see how it was? After logging in, she quickly made her character Akali, a pegasus adept rogue and jumped into the game.

Upon entering the game, Akali found herself in the central plaza of Mac Anu. She gazed around in wonder at the beautiful scenery, then looking at her character. The mixed blue and white gear on her made her stand out among the other players and NPCs in the area, and she really liked the way they blended together! After taking her time to observe, she began to look around for her friend Kasimir.

"Kasimir...! Kasimir! Where are you?!"

"Yo Akali, over here!" he said running over to her. He looked her character up and down and gave his friend a smile "Nice job in character creation, what class are you?"

Kasimir's armor was black and gold. The metal gleamed in the sun, and rattled slightly which each step he took. He was ecstatic to have Silvia playing the game with him, since he was pretty much a noob as well there wasn't much he could do for her. Then an Idea hit him, she probably didn't know the controls very well so a little hands on combat training maybe in order. But he should probably show her around town and tell her about some stuff before they try that.

"So, how about I teach you about the town?" he said smiling.

Akali smiled back, looking shyly at her clothing. It was just something she had quickly put together at short notice. But...now that she studied it, it did rather fit her nicely. Looking back up at her friend, she nodded, taking note of the cool gold and black armor.

"Yes, please. Is there a lot that I'll need to figure out?"

She walked over to the fountain and sat down, looking at the exits to the Alchemy District and to the Mercenary District. The gunblade at her side sparkled from the in-game sun, revealing the smooth metal and deadly edge. After swirling the water a bit with her hand, she got back up and laughed.

"Well? What are we waiting for! Let's get started!"
