Mane is cut short and spiky with light blue highlightsAttire Black polo and camera. Always. Seriously, he sleeps with that camera.Physique: Lithe. He's plenty quick, but not bulky. He needs to be quite aerodynamic and quick on his hooves if he's to keep up with fleeing celebrities!Residence: CanterlotOccupation: Paparazzi/ Celebrity Bane/ Tartarus Spawn with a cameraCutie Mark: Manila folder with a cameraHistory:Quill was born to an author and town worker, his mother and father respectively. They lived in a small apartment for reasonable rent, and wanted for hardly anything. However, because they couldn't afford normal schooling in Canterlot and certainly couldn't afford to move, his mother, Pageflitter, and father, Street Sweep, both agreed to homeschool him on what they could. they were determined to do their best for their son, who was enthusiastic about learning with his parents. He still had the opportunity to make plenty of friends and play outside when not studying or lounging around in the house.He learned creative writing and critical reading from his mother, as well as proper hoofwriting, spelling, grammar, blah blah blah. His father in turn taught him what trade skills he knew as a municipal worker. Some plumbing, repair, carpentry, how to use some tools, teaching him the value of hard work. Quill's verdict: Hard work stinks. His favorite thing to do at the time was run around outside and try to get himself flying... With mixed success. One day, his parents decided he needed to get familiar with the arts. At first he thought it would be totally lame... But they gave him a camera, and told him to take pictures of whatever he felt like. A few tress, a couple goofy pictures of his friends, a playground... At first it was just to satisfy his parents, but after a time he found he really liked photography!The beauty of capturing an image, and keeping it to be viewed anywhere at any time! A pony who had never seen snow could be amazed by Ponyville in winter! Or a pony who lived in a land-locked region could gaze longingly at a photo of the Equestrian coastline.He loved it. He thought it was fun and a wonderful way to pass the time.One day, however, he overheard his father talking about a snobby Canterlot resident who had been berating them for fixing a sewer grate in front of her yard. "Celestia above, Page, you should'a seen this mare's mane. Looked like a ragged bees nest. Wish I coulda gotten a picture of it..." With this new inspiration, Quill took off with his camera to this mare's home. Peeking up into her window, he did indeed see this atrocious manestyle his father spoke of... And she was desperately trying to fix it. With a sly little grin and a snap of the camera lens, Quill took off back home. After the film was developed, he showed the picture to his father... Who then showed it to a few other workers... Who then showed it to their friends. It didn't take long for an article writer for a magazine got interested in it and offered the accredited photographer 20 bits for it. Money was money, so Quill took the money and let the stallion keep the picture.Not long after, Quill discovered his friends reading a magazine article that was making witty quips about the minor theater celebrity's mane he happened to get a picture of. Realizing what he did, and seeing the entertainment value of his work... It strangely made him feel good! Like that, his cutie mark appeared, and he realized his destiny. To catch celebrities at their worst!For every wardrobe failure, every meltdown, every run-in with the law, every social snafu, he would be there... and so he was. He was on the freelance scene for quite some time, selling celebrity photos to the highest bidder, until he was offered a solid contract by P3 magazine: Pony Paparazzi Press. A magazine dedicated to celebrity news all over Equestria.Presently, he's the most feared photographer in Canterlot. Quill Pressgang has perfected the art of the Paparazzi, popping up where least expected, and least welcome. Disguises, stalking, chases through city streets, a flurry of flashes, and bits crossing his hooves for the next big article. It's amazing he isn't a celebrity himself! Well, at least he thinks so. The celebrities all seem to certainly know him and his face, and to start running/hiding/doing nothing.Character Summary:Quill has no respect for privacy... Well, of celebrities, anyway. He does not take work home with him, however. While he's plenty nosy, he knows when to let up and stay out with friends and family, or even new acquaintances. Celebrities, beware! He'll go to any lengths to get a shot, some stretching into the ridiculous. Socially, he's a gossipy guy, but can carry a normal conversation well enough.
