Quillhart
(It's not meant to be a pony story but I was so pleased with it so I wanted to share it with you)(I rewrote it to make it a pony tale)A shadows friendThe time was close to 10 pm on the little square in the town. He could seeit all were he stood on the mountain, the streets, the lights and all thesestressed ponies. He pulled down his great hood and a shadow settled before hiseyes, it was time. He loved the evening just as much as the dawn, it was thenthe shadows were at most. It was then one could stand still in a corner withoutanypony noticed. He began to walk down the mountain on the trail. He'd neverestimated being seen, in fact he despised those who made everything to be seen. No, the shadows were his friends, the evening his brother and the dawn hisbeautiful sister. And he was happy with that. While he came closer to the city he pulled of his hood. A stallion on a walk inthe evening would no one send a thought. However a stallion with a covering hoodwould bring way too much attention. He walked into the city, thepeople hurried past him without giving him a look, and he cared just asless about them. That’s how someponies were, they won´t care if they don´t knowyou, why would he be any better? He knew nopony, he didn't care either. Lifecould be lived without ponies, those deceitful, selfish ponies. No, he washappy with life just as it was.The time was here, he stood on his place where he always had been. Theponies were all in a hurry and nopony noticed him. He didn't mind it, hisattention was on the other side of the square. Three floors up, the secondwindow laid his attention. There she was, she was sitting by her tableeating the same food as always. She was shining, she shined more beautiful andbrighter than any dawn or evening, her hair was shinier and wonderfully warmthen suns very first rays. In her dark eyes rested a shadow deeper, softer andmore beautiful than any shadow the sun could create. He felt the sadness like aknife through his hart knowing that he didn't know her. What a pain it was tolook at her, what a pain it was to turn away. He wanted to go to her door, ringon her bell and introduce himself and begin to know her, He wanted but the shadowheld him back. A deep sigh was heard from him. He understood that she wouldhave no time for him. She disappeared from the window and he knew that hemissed his chance, again. So he walked home and went to bed and was thinking ofthe day tomorrow. Tomorrow he was going to try to meet her again. But he knewinside that he wouldn't dare, that’s how it has always been. He sighed deeply, atear was pouring down his cheek before he turned and fell asleep. And he wasnot happy with life just as it was.
