Secretly enjoys classical music.Dislikes: Speed limits, cold weather, walking, anything requiring a delicate touch, being kept indoors for more than an hour.Character Summary: Brash, daring, and possibly a fair bit overconfident - these would be appropriate words to describe Mach "Afterburn" Blaze. A true speedster at heart, he dreams nothing more of going faster and faster, pushing himself to the limit in the pursuit of speed. As a member of the Hazardous Weather Control sector of the Weather Pony Union, his duties consist of containing and subduing the storms and other natural weather phenomena that sometimes gets out of hand - be it from extinguishing forest fires from wayward lightning, to unraveling the twisted spirals of a rampaging tornado. It's a dangerous, hard job, but his penchant for blisteringly fast maneuvers allows him to respond to an unfurling disaster much quicker than most other ponies. In his spare time away from his duties to the kingdom, he usually entertains himself with streaking through the skies above Cloudsdale and its neighboring towns, enjoying the wind that whips around him, punching through errant clouds and leaving pony-shaped holes within them, or attempting to break Equestrias many speed records. His dream of competing in the Windy 600, the fastest aerial race this side of Cloudsdale fuels these high-paced antics - indeed, whenever there's a race happening at the Cloudsdale Collosseum, he can normally be found there watching with rapt attention. If you would ask him why he has such an interest in such a dangerous sport, he'd merely shrug and flash a grin. "Life ain't worth livin' if you don't live on the edge, y'know?"As far as a social life goes, he's somewhat of a loner. A few friends here and there, but he's never been entirely comfortable in social situations, always a bit shy of approaching new and unknown ponies that he's never met before. It isn't that he doesn't want to mingle, it's just that for some reason he can never really work up the courage to do so - instead tending to find someplace nice and quiet to remain unpreturbed and enjoy himself at whatever event he might be at.In terms of idols, he has a few. The Thunderheads, a group of NEASCAR pegasi who regularly compete in the various high-altitude races throughout Equestria, the Wonderbolts of course (what pegasus -doesn't- hold them in high regard anyways?), as well as that chromatically maned filly who won last years Young Flier's Competition. Anyone who can pull off a stunt the likes of that one is someone to look up to for sure. It was a pity that he never did get to hear what her name was, what with some yellow pegasus a few rows over making an unholy screeching racket that drowned out the announcer.Visual Resources
MudBug
An interesting character, you've put a lot of thought into it whilst giving him an equal ammount of natural personality flaws and an extensive background.A beautifully fleshed out character that I hope to see soon in Roleplay.Approved. Just need to take some time to read over the current threads that are floating about and figure out a good place to make his "introductory" post.
