River
The sun shone gently over the land of Equestria, sending forth its warm rays to cradle the land. In Trottingham, the sun beams danced across the crystal clear waters of the Nimbusgait Lakes. Water lapped against the gentle gradient of the shore, providing a steady and soothing rhythm to anypony who would stop and listen. Beside the water's edge lay two ponies, one a young mare and the other an older filly. Locals would know them as Coral Gem, the jeweller, and River Song, the jeweller's mute younger sister. Coral had her eyes shut in relaxation as she listened to her sister's most recent tune- A short lullaby that sounded lovely on River's tin whistle. The sister's were mostly silent, for they often enjoyed the calm that the morning brought. However, they knew that the pleasant weather would soon draw other ponies out to the water's edge as well. And sure enough, the distant sound of horseshoes upon the dirt path carried over to the two, and Coral sat up to see who it was that was approaching. DavidScratch
A white pegasus with red mane trots lazily down the old path, blissfully unaware of the two that lay just meters ahead of her. In fact, she trots right by without even giving a glance, and continues down to the waters ahead.

babablacksheep
Random Scribble was out and a bout that day, her Pegasus friend Winter Chill fluttering not too far behind the unicorn. Everything seemed so peaceful at that moment, Scribble didn't know if it was the soothing sound of the water or how strangely quiet it was. Besides the water, she heard sounds of trotting in the distance. Scribble knew she could use some socialization, twice over for her antisocial friend Chill. But she couldn't help but feel a slight tinge of disappointment that such a wonderful moment of peace was over. But none the less, Scribble was always game for making new friends.
