Royal Castle of Ponyville, Home of Twilight Sparkle

Don't worry, it's bigger on the inside

The newest addition to the royal architecture of Equestria, it's outside is well known. See the image? It is what it is. This topic is a general OOC information topic regarding what is inside, and whom. I will also link public threads that take place in certain sections. I welcome questions but remember that this is more of an informative topic. There will be another RP OOC Topic relating to the Twilight Guard later. So without further ado:

First Floor- Public

Royal Ponyville Library- Replacing the destroyed Golden Oaks is a fully featured library, the largest in the Heartlands that has replaced as much as could be replaced and has grown by several degrees. It is open to the public and has a book-selling segment as well. From fiction to non-fiction, romance fantasy to magical research, everything that would and should be available to the public is available here. The librarian is the superb Lore Weaver.

Grand Entrance Hall and Throne Room- A long entrance way that leads outside, splitting the library in two, that heads into the throne room. The guard presence is heaviest here but there is a sincere air of friendliness about, warm Ponyville air and gentle iconography dictating that here rules the Princess of Friendship. Here Twilight can be found when her appointed times arrive, where she will meet, greet, and handle disputes and dignitaries while sitting upon a purple throne. Beside her sit two smaller but just as ornate thrones, one for Spike with a little tab beside him and another for a guard.

Kitchen and Dining Hall- Twilight has a kitchen that serves two purposes. She eats her dinners here, freely associating with whoever may be there at the time. Guards, friends, dignitaries and special supplicants join her. The second is an open soup kitchen for the local poor and needy, who are allowed in twice a day- once after ten and another time around six- where they are served free soup and bread. It is not a large hall but has been efficiently arranged, allowing for up to fifty ponies to eat at any one time.

Second Floor- Private

Barracks- The Royal Guard assigned to Twilight have a barracks which are position in two blocks, each block capable of housing twenty guards at any one time. While more than forty guards are stationed at the castle, their rotations allow for forty guards during any eight hour period to rest.

Mess Hall and Recreation Facilities for the Guard- As stated, mess hall and rec for the Guards.

Armory- The weapons used by the Guards are stored here. Everypony is assigned a certain amount of equipment and it must be checked back in at the end of a shift.

Third Floor- Private

Private Quarters- Colonel Pummel, head of Task Force Suntrot, lives in his own private quarters. While it is not a spartan and austere setting, it is also not extravagant or excessive.

Private Quarters- Guard Officers, Intelligence group. Eight rooms belonging to the officers of the guard as well as the small four-pony REIN group that work at the castle as support of the Canterlot group.

Briefing Room- Whether it is the Princess meeting with Pummel and REIN about Suntrot, the officers of the Guard, or foreign dignitaries, this is where they meet.

Servants Quarters- Well-maintained and stocked quarters for the castle staff, who from their location here have easiest access to the whole castle.

Fourth Floor- Private

Private Quarters- Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rarity, and Spike have quarters pre-made for them, which double in their absence as the headquarters of their respective departments. They are large and personalized affairs and are owned by the ponies who they are made for.

The Elements Room- Here is where the Mane Six have their thrones and where they meet once every two weeks to discuss serious issues...whether they want to or not! Soundproof from the outside, meaning nopony can listen in.

Grand Private Quarters- Three lavish rooms reserved for the other Princesses of Equestria.

Fifth Floor- Private

Royal Master Bedroom- Twilight's 'room', which has a 'bed', though she hardly uses it. A huge affair befitting any royal, it is actually three rooms in one- a large master bedroom, a personal study and living room, and a private master bathroom. Spike is often here alongside Twilight.

Private Library- Books considered too dangerous or extreme and a lot of the books recovered from the Castle of the Two Sisters finds its way here. It now houses a lot of the most dangerous and exciting magical tomes in Equestria, as well as a lot of materials she personally considers important for her research.

Labs- Three very well stocked and supplied labs where she puts theories to the test- not out of place in the most sophisticated of scientific settings.
