IceBear
So are there any other MLP fans that hate the fact that our fan names are split by gender? I honestly tell people not to call me a pegasis, even though I'm a girl, brony just sounds better to me....
SymphonicFire
It doesn't really matter right? I'm proud to call myself both
RedCedar
I think it only became an issue because "brony" sounds undeniably male. I admit it's probably unique among fan designations in a way that, say "Trekker" was not, but it would really come down to personal preference. Starfox64x
its mostly because It's 'Bro' as in 'brother' which, you wouldnt really call a girl your brother... It just sounds like a male title, so whether or not it IS a title meant for men just its sound makes it odd to call a woman that...like, you wouldnt call a woman a 'fireman' even though 'firewoman' is a little weird to say too... Its not WRONG, and its not something that is exclusively available to men... but it still sounds weird to try and do it like that.
