When she explained why seh didnt take a break, he could relate to it. His own CO had pushed him to be a fighter also, it had been the reason he was who he was today. He had been taught how to take pain, he had learnt how to shoot, he had learnt how to do nearly everything he could do. "I can relate, my own CO did the same. Only breaks we took was when we passed out from exhaustion, or we were hit by a bullet during live fire exercises. He taught me everything i know, well, almost everything. I.... couldnt help him. During our second mission, me, him and another two were on a mission. It was a long mission, and we were treating it as training. We were to be in the AO for about a week. During the second night, we were ambushed by unknown forces. They were well trained, though we were better. During the fight, the other two had been taken down in one clean shot each. My CO had always told me i was the best man he had trained, and this was the moment i found he was right. Us two managed to fight off at least three squads of Special Forces, though what came next we couldnt deal with..... We were on our last mags, over thirty special operatives had attacked us.....I took a shot. It went straight threw my leg, and a second had gone through my chest. I thought it was over, though i managed to survive it, hanging on by a thread. I was taken down, though the CO kept shooting. The forces got up close to him, and they engaged in HtH combat. He managed to take down at least ten more of them, before i saw one shot go through his shoulder. It took him down.... Last thing i remember before passing out, was them placing a 44.Magnum to the back of his head, and the trigger being pulled" He said, not knowingly telling her a story. She was the only person, other then himself, who even knew about it now. That was a operation that had been classified as all KIA, and it was more or less right.

If Midnight looked at Black closely, she would see tear on his face, and a few tears dripping off his face.

"As for what Im going to Hong Kong for, its to visit a friend of mine.... Im going, whether you or Doc come... its your choice" He said to her, his voice having a tint of sadness in it after remembering the death of his CO.

Doc saying he could keep secrets, Parry felt like it might be time to open up to someone he replied with a sigh "my parents died long long ago when I was only 15 and it was the middle of the night" he imagined in his mind that day just as the clock struck twelve.

" I was asleep when a couple of burglars broke in," Parry looked down his mind seethed with the image of his Father's head split by an axe as he stood in the hallway and his screaming as she was being beaten to death with a baseball bat until her head splattered onto the kitchen floor " they killed them beat my mother to death and split my dad's head open with an axe," he paused looking at Doc strait dead in the eyes and said "when they saw me sick smiles played across their faces" he imagined them stalking towards him but nearly escaping by the back door "nearly died, but escaped out the back door ran far, far away!" he wiped a few tears away that had started to drip from his chin "found the cops told them what happened and they headed to the house" he stopped short in his story just to look around again see if anyone was coming.

"I was sent to my aunt's for another some odd bloody years and then ended up a marine" he smiled weakly at Doc "now that I have told you my problem, you owe me what's yours son" he pushed at Doc's shoulder jokingly and smiled a mischievous smile he wanted to know more about his new friend, Parry thought it was only fair if he could trust Doc than he was pretty sure Doc would trust him.

Doc stood there and listened

His parents were killed in front of him. That was a lot to handle!

Doc recoiled slightly at the playful push and gave a weak smile shaking his head he whispered

I swear I’ll never tell a soul” in truth doc had many secrets locked inside his head and this was now one of them.

he lifted his hand up for a bro shake to seal his promise.

He said

I’m not going to claim I know what its like, how you feel exactly. But iv’e lost my fair share of pony’s in and out of the line. … sometimes I just feel like … Ive been hurt, Angry ... most of the time. its hard, If you ever need someone to talk to, I’m here. …

whether I want to or not! Its my JOB!” he said replying to his playfulness. with an exited shout to in his last word

Parry nodded trying to get the images out of his mind but he replied to Doc and said.

"Certainly is buddy, mine is to... well do Corporal things"

Parry was pleased with the conversation and now wanted go do something different so Parry said as he gestured around with his hands.

"Hey Doc let's go see what Midnight and Blackwing are up to"

Parry winked and added.

"Life is boring when you sit on a bunk and do nothing and I want to get to know your companions what do you say?"

Parry shoved his hand into his pockets and looked up into the sky, truthfully Parry just wanted to get his mind off of his dead parents but he also wanted to do something other than sit on his bunk and wait for his next job, because Doc should know that when you are in Parry's shoes that life's boring at times.

Midnight lied there silently listening to Black speak, She couldn't imagine what it would be like, to lose her commander like that. Exercuted in front of her own eyes, it would probably have broken her back when she was still doing missions with him. Not now, but he held a special part in her heart for the warrior he made her into. When he finally finished, she wasn't sure how to reply with that. She could tell he was upset, but perhaps it was her turn to talk? To talk about her own commander.

"Well, I used to go on missions with my own Co, you know, ages ago. He always had me watching over him with my barret, taking out enemies left and right. We did missions people called impossible, ones that they called questionable. It wasn't until later on that things went down hill, teammates went down, our missions objectives got called into question. Still, at least he is alive and still operating missions. He's the one who sends me on my missions, usually alone. He may have broken me, but he made me into the best warrior he could using whatever methods he could afford. And that, in my eyes now, was worth the pain. I'd go through it again without a second thought, even though i hated it when i first did. As for Hong Kong, i'll..see, I might not even be able to walk, given how my leg goes"

Doc frowned and said

“I gotta finish this stuff, but can you check on them for me?”

he walked into the Admin building and began work on getting all the work done.

TIME SKIP 6 AND A HALF HOURS

The desk sergeant came back from the record room “all right Doc; were all set! Your officially part of our division now!

Doc smiled glad it was all done now. He had contacted Camp bulldog and talked to the c.o over there recounting what had happened, but now Blackwing, himself and were officially part of the team, he couldn’t find anything on midnight but the desk sergeant assured him he would finish it for him

“thanks man!” he said with a handshake “and thanks again for the coffee, I don’t know if I’m just exhausted or this stuff is elixir of life … probably a little bit of both right?”

the desk sergeant laughed “its made with expensive beans my department head buys, I prefer red bull myself”

doc smiled and waved good bye eager to go to talk to his new team,

The commander finally finished her work and said

“there we go! You should be o.k for now. Of course your going to need some rest and we can get you some crutches if you like but you should have full range of motion in your legs! Can you stand up for me?”

the IDC had finished Blackwing’s bandage and with a little help from commander they had discovered his range of motion, which was limited but not completely crippling

they both watched as midnight was about to try standing on her own for the first time in a while.

Midnight slowly opened her eyes, feeling very very grotty. She wasn't sure what happened, but she looked around and finally spotted the commander from before. "R-really..? My leg is, ok?" She turned and looked at it, very confused "Ummmmm, ok?" She stood up slowly, before nearly falling over, her legs still shaky "....A crutch could be...a good idea..

Parry nodded and began walking towards the building with the large cross on it, Parry's mind was still searing with images of his parents but he shrugged them off and took in the situation at hand he neared the building and swung the door open it took him a couple of tries to find Midnight and Black but he found it with the help of a friend of his named Healie, Parry found the room and entered to find Black and Midnight conversing Parry didn't want to interrupt but Parry cleared his throat and said.

"Pardon me uh, sorry for the interruption but Doc sent me to check up on you two"

Parry smiled and took a seat close by on an empty cot.

  • 2 weeks later...

(AND I AM BACK :D its early in the morning, BUT, i am now catching up)

After the docter was finished with his shoulder, Black sat up straight, sliding off the medical bench he was on while he had been worked on. Right now, he had no shirt on, it had been taken off so they would have easy access to the wound. Black looked over to Midnight, who he noticed standing up. Black looked at his wounded shoulder, noticing it had a brace on it. Black stood up straight, if you looked at him, you would see what looked like scars, though they were not that visible. Only trained eyes would notice it under his coat. He walked over to a bench, picking up a black jacket that was laying on it. While they had worked on him, Black had asked for it to be brought here. The jacket was important to him, and it was in perfect condition, no tears, no stains, no nothing.

Blackwing walked over to Midnight, noticing she was having trouble standing. He moved so that his left arm was holding onto her arm, helping her stay up.

"Want any help?"

Parry decided that his help probably not needed but he watched Blackwing ask Midnight if she needed any help Parry sat and continued keeping an eye on the two, for Parry wants to get to know both of them.

He cleared his throat and voiced his question

"So all of you seem quite close must be all the stuff all of you went through to get this far, eh?"

He let Blackwing grasp an answer while Parry started to twiddle his thumbs.

Doc left the building and chugged the coffee savoring the caffeine as if it were health potion from a video game keeping him awake. Doc acknowledged his own weakness and figured he would briefly check In on his new team before taking a well needed rest.

“blood brothers Perry! Not everyone can be like you there head in the clouds making friends talking causally when there getting shot at!” said the sergeant major as he walked in followed by 2 staff sergeants."

The stout leader made his presence known taking up everyone in the rooms attention

“you guys had a heck of a mission im making sure all of you are put in for rewards.”

For a moment when he spoke he looked very genuine and appreciative, before quickly shifting back to his –larger than life leader personality and posture

“NOW im good at killing ponies, not saving ponies that’s why maim has the say in what happens next!”

the doctor looked at them both as one of her corpmen came in with a crutch for midnight, she helped him adjust it to her size and said

“well its up to you two; go to Tokyo naval hospital or stay here?”

at that moment Doc came back in and looked at what was going on very confused

Midnight didn't take Blackwings hand, lifting herself up on the bench, leaning heavily on it to support herself. While she may have been healed, her body still required time. When the crutch was offered to her, she grudgily accepted it and used it to hold herself up.

"I...." Midnight wasn't sure, she didn't know what to do. She suspected Blackwing wanted to go to Tokyo, while Doc may have wanted to stay. She didn't want to leave, and after everything, she did owe Doc a bit, after he basically help put her back together. "I...Wherever he goes" she points at Doc "Is where i'm going"

Doc blushed at what midnight said.

Although that could just be poor circulation due to shock.

He came over and sat in a chair, exhausted. It felt nice to take the weight off his legs and he stretched out enjoying the feeling.

“I say … we play it safe. Get advanced e.k.g’s and trauma support. …. Besides I’m craving sushi.” He said looking to the commander and sergeant major for approval.

The stout s.m nodded and said “all right smart move doc. Go rest up come back whenever your ready! Ill have my top pilot bring you there whenever your ready; and … ill make sure any luggage for you all goes straight there.”

He turned to Perry

PERRY! Your there escort!” he looked around and spoke to everyone

“ANY OBJECTIONS!”

the Commander put her hands together and happily said

“nope. mmm I you guys can bring me back some sushi also!”

Sergeant major breaker walked out saying “all right! ill get your flight ready!”

Doc looked to his new team "o.k uhhh ... lets go!" he was surprised but also glad things could get done so quickly

As he had expected but he looked at his boss and said pleadingly "Sir would you uh mind if I could stay with them permanently!" He looked at them with his most pleading and honest expression he wanted so dearly to help Blackwing and the rest of the team so he looked directly at his boss and added "I could be of good service to them!".

As they made plans, Black stayed in the back, backing away from Midnight and doc, just listening into the group. He was glad to have a new squad, they were people he could work with. But, so far all that had happened was make him miss working alone, with his old squad. He sighed a bit, then heard the Sargent Major say something about getting the best pilot to fly them their. He already knew the pilot he wanted to fly him, any other and it would be a no go. Black had never trusted pilots, but in the short trip he had with this one, he had noticed something was different about her, she was not afraid of getting rough, and unlike a lot of pilots who left on the go, she seemed like one who would stick around long enough to make sure we were out of the frying pan.

"No, i know the right pilot to fly us their, oh, and if possible, i want my Scar back now"

He said to the sergeant, walking up to him.

Breaker turned around a smile flickering out of his face

“ill see about that Perry, we’ll finalize the logistics of our new  team when you get back. But I think I like the setup.”

He was about to turn around again when Blackwing talked.

“do you know who I am? Your making request of me! Now listen you been thru a lot, you need some rest, get your head straight. “

he waved a weapons card in front of his face, one he could use to get the scar from the armory.

come back, when your ready to work and act like real marine. Don’t worry ill take good care of it”

he puts the card back in his pocket.

ill tell your pilot to be on standby you can leave whenever your ready.”

He then walked away.

Doc face palmed himself  Blackwing’s attitude was bound to get him in more trouble, but he was thankful Breaker went easy on him. once he was gone he looked to his new team and said

well ... I’m ready whenever you guys are, get some sleep on the way there. Unless you guys got a y business there I say we get going.” He said standing up stretching out getting ready to go.”

“you all right” he asked midnight.

Midnight stood by, well, not fully standing due to her crutch, but the point remains, simply observing what was happening. So they were going to Tokyo, well, it could be worse. Besides, like Doc had said, she needed a break. She was about to ask where her barret was, wanting it back, when she heard Doc adress her. She nodded her head "I'll be fine, takes more than well, what i went through to take me out. Though I do need to find the armory, i want my Sniper back" Her voice went very cold when she wanted her rifle back. She'd developed a slight attachment to it, and refused to leave it behind.

Doc stayed behind midnight ready to catch her if she fell but for the most part  letting her walk on her own. He looked to Perry

“hey where was the armory? ..that way right?” he said pointing to the east . “sooo you want to join our team? Why’s that? It would be nice to have you as our final member, but we would have to run some drills to see how we all fit. If your up for it that is”

as they exited the building they were about to pass blackwing he turned to him and said

duuuude! Your lucky Breaker didn’t give you the e.m.I (extra. Military. instruction- a punishment usually physical labor for minor offences.) Im not saying you were wrong …. But you just  don’t like authority do you?” he said in a surprised tone.

In all honesty it did shock him how the usually silent Blackwing talked to Breaker like that. He was demanding and kind of rude. Sure he was a sergeant but Breaker of course was higher.

im just glad he shrugged it off, and we can get going.”

Doc held his palm out not far from Midnight’s back ready to catch her. He said to her

I can understand wanting your rifle, but were going to a hospital I don’t think they will let you bring it in, if anything its just going to be a pain checking it in and out everywhere. Were going to japan we’ll be safe. And the …crazy gun lady I forget her name will take good care of it for sure.”

Parry took in the scene unfolding before him as if it were a test, he told Doc.

"I would certainly enjoy doing drills other than sitting on my butt all day!"

Then he tilted his head and said.

"So what kind of drills would I do?"

Parry was obviously excited because he would get another chance to go on a mission with these people.

Midnight glanced at Doc, while she got along with him, he didn't think she'd be able to bring her rifle? Who in their right mind would say NO to a girl pointing a 50.calibar at them, or specifically, no one had yet to do it. "I....Maybe, but, i really...i want my rifle with me...." She glanced over at the ground before looking back at Doc "Well..i, i suppose if you're certain its safe to leave it here...I suppose that i trust you"

As the sargent major got at Black, he stood still, showing no emotion and just complete non caring for the Seargents go at him. He watched as he walked away. Although tempted to follow him, and get his rifle back, he also knew that, if they were goign to tokyo for a check up, and speeded recovery, then he would not be allowed to bring it along with him. He walked over to Parry and Midnight, along with Doc.

"Better leave all your weapons behind guys, that includes any knives, and side arms. We are going to Tokyo, and i dont think they will allow us to bring our firearms into a hospital" He said, knowing that they already knew that, but still verifying it. Then, he turned to Parry in particular. He wanted to join the team? Black shook his head a bit. He was a hard person to impress, only way to do it, was prove that you were someone he could trust. Not many people had ever managed to gain Blackwings trust, and even right now, Doc and Midnight were not trusted completely.

"You want in? Well, your going to need to pass some Unit Cohesion drills, for the basic part however. But, i dont belive that 'Drills', give accurate enough results. Treat the drills as training, and not a test. The test, will be when we hit the field next, and its life, or death for real" Blackwing said to him, standing tall, and obviously not about to go easy on anyone. He looked towards his teammates.

"Before we go through any of this, what specialties do you have that could be of use to the team" Blackwing asks him, and although his tone of voice was empty, their was a feel of a untrust towards it, and anyone who picked it up would know that Black still trusted no one, not a lot yet.

He then turned, and started to walk out of the Med centre, still wearing the same black leather jacket. As he walked out the door, he noticed what looked like a marine carrying Blacks gear, his combat vest, and all his gear. He walked over, stopping him before talking.

"Sorry, but i dont leave anywhere without these" He says to the soldier, then pick his modded sunglasses out of his gear. He put them on, giving a simple "Take care of that stuff" Before walking towards his chopper, which he could distinguish from the fact the S.M was their, waiting.

(Note to parry. Dont take that stuff bad, Blackwings just... lets say he does not trust easily, AT ALL. Though, after time, he does warm up)

Midnight spoke up, he felt a bit touched that she said she trusted him. Midnightthe icy sniper trusted him. and being honest he liked her too.

“yeah I hear ya, I would bring my rifle too, but were going to be going in and out of a hospital and needing to check in and out in an armory , and it will probably just be more trouble than its worth. Besides I don’t know the gun laws of Japan, we probably going to get in trouble; if we lug it around.”

Doc paused a moment and saw a young  orange woman in a flight suite talk to Breaker leaning on  a v-22 offsprey.

huh; that’s probably our ride” he said off hand

he continued

“I don’t know about you guys but I don’t go anywhere without a blade. I’m keeping mine” he said feeling it thru the sheath on the vest. It was a folding knife and easy enough to fit in his pocket” trust me they wont worry about knives.”

He also tried to think of something to say to Perry. Blackwing had nailed it on the head about what they would have to do but he was kind of Rude about it.Blackwing was not a hard guy to figure out, he didn’t trust people right away, and was usually pretty cold. He hopped the friendly Perry wouldn’t take it the wrong way, or let it get to him.

Before he could figure out something to say Breaker gestured to them and said

all right this will be your vehicle; be safe over there. if any of your stuff comes in, ill send it there.” he gave a head nod and turned back to the woman, doc was close enough now to see she was indeed a pilot, a LT. commander Breaker asked her

All right take care of them, you going to use the call sigh thunder chicken again?”

Midnight pouted at Doc as he suggested she not bring her barret with her, she knew he was right but she did still want her rifle with her. But when he mentioned that she could bring Knives, she couldn't stop a small smirk on her face. If he was right, then she'd be more than happy to bring a few with her. She followed him out of the tent, to where the saw what she assumed was their vehicle they were taking.

"Wait, wait wait wait. First things first, we can bring knives?! Hell yeah, count me in. Also, that ship us gunna be what takes us to Toyko? Cause, it looks kinda cool..."

Parry nodded, accepting Blackwings distrust he understood but he replied calmly as he was leaving.

"I know what death is, Blackwing I have seen many die too many..."

His voice trailed off and a tear rolled down his eye, as he remembered his parents death but then he wiped his face and made the "eye irritation excuse" and said with a tang of bitterness.

"shall we get going then I hate waiting"

He stood and then motioned for the door, his shoulders slumped down looking kind of depressed.
