Star Wars: Republic Hit Squad

On the Planet Dantooine, a hidden C.I.S base that had been abandoned long ago within one of the many unexplored forests, was showing signs of life. The base wasn't producing any droids, but a large number of it's defence systems were powering up. It's radar, point defence blasters and Anti-Ship cannons were in a patrolling position.

Within the base wasn't the Republic, or the C.I.S operating it. It was a mercenary company, the 'Iron Shadows' they called themselves. Small in the scope of the war, but they were celebrating their newest victory. They had managed to capture several high ranking Republic Officers in their latest raid, throwing them into the prisoner chambers.

In order to get their troops back, the Republic recruited several mercenaries to rescue their officers. While a Jedi was leading the team, there was a number of mercs that were part of the team.

Cryie stood at the camp, watching the C.I.S base. She placed her hand lightsaber, letting out a loud sigh. It was time to move in, they had to infiltrate the camp now. Turning to the troops behind her, she got the troops to rally in position.

"We're moving on the base now. We're going to be taking the brunt of the force and fighting while infiltration teams disable enemy weapons and locate the officers. They'll be alive, lets hope. I want all Republic Troops to get into their assigned. All others mercanaries are to come here, I'll assign you positions" She said. She saw the Republic troops moving, leaving her to deal with the mercs. She just hoped this group would be capable, otherwise this would be a rough assault.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Within the base, in the prisoner bay. While several cells contained the missing Republic Officers, another cell sat a single pony. Midnight started clicking her tongue, watching the barrier that kept her trapped. She needed to escape soon, before these pathetic Mercs did something they'd regret. But for now, she'd take her time. She was certain she'd find a good victim soon enough, it just took time to lure them in before killing them and managing to escape this nightmare. She looked at her hand and the dagger she'd managed to keep on her, fun times would surely come, all she needed to do was wait.

(You can either have your team start in the Prison Cells, or with the Republic Assault team, both work really. Just make sure that we have least 1 in each group)

Sky was sitting inside of a cell, just waiting for whatever happened. He knew that so far, the stay in this.... delightful settlement had been pretty much as expected of any merc outpost, boring, stupid and unfair. Currently, Sky was not just in a normal cell, he was in solitary. That had become his regular cell due to constant fights with guards, often taking them out in hand to gun. He was used to that, He was a ex volunteer Republic Commando, one of the best. He had risen to a high rank, though he had gone rouge after a unsuccessful mission, which had let to him being here. Right now, he had nothing on him except for his own dog tags, the ones he still wore from his days fighting. He just sighed, hoping that sooner or later, his escape would be possible, with, or without all the others who he expected were here with him.

(NOT final post, i might edit depending on what everyone does, and on other things)

Dayee looked around as they moved out. She smiled to herself.

She wasn’t sure how such a cheap wetworker like herself managed to land a postion like this!

she held her blaster at her hip and stood up from her cover

She walked up to her officer in charge cryie and asked

“so am I part of the infiltration team?”

"Great, there's a Jedi in charge." Baltan said, not caring enough to whisper; despite his annoyance the mandalorian raised trianii did in fact assemble as he was asked. He should've brought his rifle for this, but his dual deathhammer's would see him through any trouble they faced. "Let's get this show on the road boss lady, I'm a feline of action."

Cryie looked at the 2 Mercs that had come to her, she looked over the datapad she had on her, before nodding her head at one of the questions that was put towards her.

"Both of you are actually. When the attack starts, you will both use it as a distraction to enter the base from a whole that'll be made during the initial bombardment. Once you get in, you'll group with several of our troops and make your way to the prisoner section. Find our officers, and get out. Keep in radio contact with me at all times, I'll be entering the base from the other side and engaging enemy troops. Now, get into position. We're about to start the battle, and we need our officers back alive"

In the Prison bay, Midnight looked around. She needed to act, before something happened to her. While she wasn't in a normal cell, a private cell just for her with a private guard due to her rough personality. She leaned back, pretending to sleep, knowing the guard was watching her intently. She'd had the same guard for a while, and she'd overheard enough to know what made him tick. She heard the shield door turn off, and she opened her eye slightly to see him closing towards her with a blaster in hand. Midnight smirked, about time. When he caught close enough, Midnight turned and threw her make-shift weapon, and her weapon hit it's target. Midnight ran forwards, grabbing her blade, a keycard and the blaster from his hand. She put his coat on, satisfied she finally had decent clothing that actually covered her body properly. Sliding her hair to hide some of the wounds on her face, she exited her cell, blaster raised and sticking in the shadows.

Looking around, she quickly spotted another cell with someone else in it. She was tempted to leave them and start her escape, but why was he in here?

"What did you do to annoy these mercs?" she whispered to him, making sure to check the area was clear.

Sky had looked over to the cell where Midnight was. He had seen her a few times, though never up close or even talked to her, all he had done was make observations. He watched as she took down the guard in a matter of seconds, though what do you expect when the guard was stupid enough to walk into her cell alone. When she approached him, asking about what he had done to annoy the Mercs, Sky just laughe softly. He had done many things to piss them off, some worse then others.

"Lets just say that the infirmary has been filled quite often" He said to her, standing up. He knew that she was not a guard, even if he hadnt seen her take the guard out it was quite obvious, to him at least. She did look like a guard otherwise.

"You going to let me out?" Sky asks her

Midnight looked at the other person in the prison, she'd seen them a few times, but nothing significant that she knew about them. But the real question was, did she trust them enough not to screw it up? Not really, but having a meat shield... Well, it would be dumb to ignore that. "I could let you out, yeah. You know how to use a blaster without shooting yourself?" Midnight asks, sounding very condescending in her tone. She needed to get one thing clear, SHE had the authority here and he'd do what she wanted him to.

Sky again laughed softly, she was asking if he knew how to use a rifle? Sky knew that she didnt know him, so that he couldnt expect her to know anything about what he could do, but come on, a blaster? "Of course i know how to use a blaster, i havnt been stuck in here long enough to forget yet" He said to her. He then noticed something, about her voice, she was putting him down. "Lets get something clear please, i am no lacky or newbie in any of this, you let me out, we work as a team to get out, as long as one of us has a plan" He says to her, his voice sounding calm, though serious.

Dayee looked to her fellow team while she didn’t want to admit it she was incredible thankful to have help.

you got maim,”

she walked along the trail and came up next to the other team member a trianii with big hammers. She quickly asked

so, you look you know your way around a fight? Names Dayee whats yours?

Baltan was aware of someone approaching him and wanted to roll his eyes, but he saved it for now. It was some mirialan girl who apparently wanted to make small talk, she was fairly pretty and she was friendly enough so he saw no need to be rude, "Name is Baltan, I'm a bounty hunter, and everything that title entails." He decided the second part was easily left up to imagination, so he left it at that.

dayee smiled "Baltan, thats the name of a proud warrior. well im glad i got you on my side, I take it your going to put those hammers to good use."

she drew her g.b i-i pistol, it was a simple no thrills gun but it was realiable and got the job done, it was single shot, could take out most unarmoued enemies in 1 -2 shots, had good Accuratcy and had a small scope.

"ill cover you and handle anything outside your reach. ... I'm not going to lie i've done a lot of wetwork all thought Corsunt and the galaxy but nothing like this!" she said as she watched a clone trooper go by admiring its distinct white armor

she was a bit scared and hoped it wouldn't show. she felt a deep pressure and a little voice inside her head kept repeating

"don't blow this like you did the jedi! don't blow this like you did the jedi! don't blow this like you did the jedi!"

Midnight didn't like his attitude, it meant she wouldn't be able to use him as a meatshield or bargining chip if things went downhill. But, maybe there was some hope, she just had to get lucky. And knowing her luck, another blaster wasn't going to hurt her.

She ran the keycard over the lock, the cell door powering down. As it did, she picked up a blaster and threw it at him, before spinning her own in her hand.

"Fine, but I haven't got a plan, no yet at least. I know the general schematics of these bases, used to raid them a lot when i got bored. Only escape from here is via the main prison bay, which is heavily guarded due to the prisoners these bandits have right now" she said, running a hand through her long hair as she tried to think of an easy soluation.

"You got any ideas hotshot?"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cryie nodded her head, it was time to go in. She hopped all infiltrations teams where ready, cause it was time to free their Republic Officers. The Republic Gunships powered up, and the foot soldiers got into their assigned positions. She turned on her radio "This is a transmission to all Republic troops in this area. Our main objective is to rescue the Republic Officers currently being held captive in the CIS base. The enemies are highly trained mercs, and we don't believe them to be in allience with the CIS, so don't expect any droids protecting the base. Infiltration teams, once your enterance is made, you are to enter and find your primary objectives. Disable the enemy base if you can, gun turrets, sensors, anything to make their lives harder, but rememeber the primary objective the to reach the prison bay and save all troops in it. Everyone else in the prison bay is a secondary objective. Get them out if you can, but our troops come first. May the force be with us all" Said the Jedi as the attack started.

The CIS base lit up, blaster fire assaulting it's walls from troops and gunships. The gunships fired off the barrage, creating 2 small holes in the base for the infiltrations teams to sneak in. Nearly 100 Clones were assaulting the base from the front, along with 5 gunships and several other land vehicles, all to distract for the group forces to get in the base. The Mercs started firing back with altomatic gun turrets and taking positions along the base and returning fire.

From the oppersite side of the base from Dayee and Baltan, Cryie was with several troops at the other hole in the wall. She radio'd the mercs directly "Remember what i said, go in, find the prisoners and get out. If you can disrupt the enemy base, do it, but we need those officers back. May the force be with you all, and i'll see you inside" she said, before heading inside with her troops.

Sky watched as she opened the door, smiling as she did so. Seems she agreed with him, well, at least he hopped she agreed that he was no lacky. He caught the blaster by the barrel, his hand going around it. He threw it into the air, catchign it by the trigger, the barrel facign down as he caught it. When she explained that the only way out was through that heavily guarded prision bay. He didnt like their options, but they were pretty boxed in. He thought for a bit, lookign at all the cells. Unless they could get weapons for them all, they couldnt help. Then he heard blaster fire, and the base rocked a bit, dust falling from the roof. Sky coughed a bit due to the dust, though he just grinned after he finished.

"Their are a few options. Depending where the armory would be, we could try and get all the prisoners weapons, then fight our way out. Thats the loudest option. Another would be to try... whats the word, trick. Right now, you do look like a guard enough to fool them, maybe. You could say that the boss said that he wanted you to escort me out, we exit the side door once we pass the bay. Thats a risky option, as if they call us out we are on our own. Their are two more. We could wait for that blaster fire to finish, and depending if the winners are friend or foe, we could fight through weakened numbers. The last option, we create a distraction somewhere, and hide. We hope that the guards come to investigate, and then we either take them out or try and sneak out"

Midnight listened to their options, and none of them sounded like a good idea. Shaking her head, Midnight sat down against the cell, sighing.

"There is NO way i'm dressing up as one of them, I may be a merc, but I have standards. I cannot be one of them, never. Though, give me 5 minutes with my shank from before and I can make you fit right in. Honestly that's the best idea, cause we are not getting out of here with brute force. And I don't care if it's the **** CIS army out there, we're going to help them kill the Mercs here and using them to get out of here" Midnight walked back to the guard she originally killed and pulled the knife out, before twirling it in her hand and walking towards the other prisoner.

"Now, when I say you could do it, you will do. Cause it's the only way we're getting out here" She tightened the grip on the shank, walking towards him slowly "Soooo, what do you say? Want to get out of here, or do I have to use a little force?"

Baltan could tell the new kid was nervous, but he got the feeling she was much more capable then she appeared, "Relax kiddo, you're sweating all over the place, just stay calm and keep close and this'll all go down easy."

Apparently they'd made the holes already and the other team was heading in, "Alright kid lets get going!" They hadn't really been told how loud to be, so he just assumed that once they got in they had permission to be loud.

Dayee’s cheeks went from green to red pretty quickly.

Baltan had seen right thru her

But she also took in what Baltan had to say. And somehow she knew he was right. the republic wouldn’t bother with them unless they knew they would work.

“Right I got your six.!” She took the blaster in both hands and ran after him. Stepping thru the short grass approaching the large base.

She stopped on a hill and looked thru her scope eying what was ahead. She called out to Baltan

There are 7 guards wearing Bronzium light battle armor. And a full face tracer helmet, decent stuff it proves that they have experience and money. They all had some difrent types of blaster carbine’s each one is outfitted with difrent gear, scopes, magazines. They got some kind of hand explosives, not thermal detonators but something. There setting up for a position now.”

She stopped looking thru there scope. And to Baltan “Think you can charge down there in time and smack them around? Or do you want to pick them off from here?”

Midnight giggled slightly as her 'partner' seemed to back away. She spun the blade in her hand, slowly closing in "What do you think i mean? These mercs have more ego than anything, they brand their own members. Since I don't have access to an Iron Shadow brander, we're gunna have to cover up the place where the ensign would be" She tapped her right shoulder "You get some blood covering there, they'll think you're one of them"

When he said she wasn't cutting him, she shook her head "Listen buttercup, i'm getting out of here one way or another, and I won't let some rookie stop me. You might be new to my line of work, but you'll learn you will do anything to survive, anything. Now this isn't that bad, just a small scratch over a blood vein and a few others. You can say i broke out, tried to stab you and you were forced to put me down before moving me. Simple as that soldier boy, now, are you in?"

Sky sighed, then looked at her. He kenw she was right, and taht this might hurt fr a bit.

"Im not new to any of this... Lets hope it wokrs" Sky said to her, moving back in front so that she could do waht she needed to do. He knew it wouldnt hurt that much, and it would help them escape. So it was worth it.

Midnight smiled once he finally came to his senses.

"Good buttercup, this is gunna hurt, and no, I don't have to have to hope, I had skill" She said, before roughly cutting above his shoulder and the blood started leaking down, before, without warning, slicing along his right arm and then carefully putting a cut on his face, but made sure that the falling blood wouldn't cover his eye "Make sure you can see, you're useless to me otherwise"

That's when Midnight threw the dead guards clothes at Sky, hoping he got the hint he'd need to put them on, before passing him the shank "Now it's your turn, make them look like you disarmed me and took some revenge on me, like I stabbed your best friend and you want me to suffer. Only way they'll believe it"

Sky winced as she cut him, the shank painfully drawing blood. Once she was done cutting his arm, he gasped a bit, then winced again as the blade cut his face. He blinked his eyes, and wipped a bit of blood that had gotten into it. After a few blinks, he could see perfectly. He caught the clothes, Sighing as he did so. Great, he had to put on this uniform? Well, no one said this would be fun. she handed him the shank. He grabbed it, grinning as he got the chance for some payback, though he knew not ot make it to bad.

"Now, this might hurt... A lot" He said before taking a step right next to her, pressing the blade against her arm. He pressed harder, making a cut, though he moved the shank a bit, making it jagured. He then stabbed the blade straight through her leg. He then did a few small cuts on her other arm. He then, with his fist, punched her in the face once hard, causing a bruise, and maybe a black eye.

Midnight tried to suppress the pain she felt as he started working on her, but couldn't surpress a groan as he stabbed her leg. While possibly excessive, it would add to the realism to the story that she broke out. But she wasn't expecting the punch, and it threw her onto the ground. She pushed herself up, a bruise growing where he punched her.

"In any other circumstance, you just signed your death warrent. But that was a good punch, honestly, we look the part. Now get that uniform on and lets go. Remember, i'm a prisoner and an ant to you, but your boss wants me alive for some reason, probably a ransom. I'm putting a lot on ya, but you seem capable. You screw this up though, and i'll make sure I kill you first"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cryie cut down the last guard that had just oppsed her, ordering her clones to advance. Flicking on the radio, she called the other infiltration team.

"Just a heads up, if you can take at least 1 of the mercs prisoner, do so. We need info, the higher rank the better, but we'll do with any at this point"

Sky walked away, coming back a minute later dressed as a guard, and he looked a lot like him. He looked at Midnight, walking behind her before grabbing her shoulder as he pressed a Blaster into her back.

"I know we look the part, but we are also going to have to act the part, sorry if i do any more damage once we start" He says, apologizing early.

"But, how do we do this?"

Midnight turned and faced the other Prisoner, at least he knew how to play the role of a guard. Now she just hoped, hoped, that it would be enough to break them out of there.

“Don’t say sorry now, do it when we’re out of here. If you have to hit me, hit me, shot me in the leg, then do it. Whatever you gotta do to make them by it. Now, open that door and throw me onto the ground, ask what is going on and say the boss wants to see me, they’ll ask about whats his face, and say I killed him or something. Better think on your feet, else I’ll shot you before I get killed”

Sky nodded, then roughly grabbed her shoulder, gripping it harsh as he pressed the blaster into her back, walkign her towards the exit. His grip, and the blaster in her back, would probably hurt, though that was the idea. Once at the door, he opens it, throwing her past it. He then walks right to where he threw her, stepping on her leg to prevent her moving as he aimed the blaster at her back.

"Boss wants to see her" He said to them, putting more weight on her leg. It was the same one he had stabbed.
