Mane/Tail/Other: Mane/Tail - silvery grey with a single darker streak of gray in the center. Mane and tail are braided to fit better and stay out of the way when wearing service armor.

Physique: Well built, able to wear full service armor and still gallop a full mile. Maintaining full health at all times through proper diet snd exercises.

Residence: Resides with Daughter in the middle class district of Canterlot. Located less than a trot from the school his daughter attends

Occupation: Royal Guard, Middle Class. City Posting near school. Volunteer teacher at his daughter's school in off duty time to assist in proper understanding and capability with basic daily magic for unicorn students.

Cutie Mark: Cutie Mark is a spear over a silhouette of a unicorn. This symbolizes his talent as a protector of ponies, particularly young unicorns. When he was still a fairly young colt, Stromstride attended the Cloudsdale school. Being the son of weather researchers, and a unicorn, the colt was trained in certain weather spells. including a spell that allowed Unicorns to walk on clouds, and temporary flying spells. Stormstride arrived at school one day to find a pair of older colts picking on a younger philly unicorn that happened to also live near by. The colt was outraged and lashed out at them. A few small spells sent them running for their mothers. When the angry parents returned later, Stromstride not only defended his position with words but also demonstrated that he would continue to harass the bullies for as long as they decided to pick on smaller foals. It was in this moment that Stromstride received his cutie mark and knew his destiny to be a protector.

Unique Traits: Stormstride is well educated, more so than an average Royal guard. Quick to recognize a potentially dangerous situation and resolve it with little violence. He adapts to knew knoweldge with a little effort. His skills with magic far exceed his skills with weapons. However he is on par with the average guard for his use of a spear.

History: Stormstride became a Royal Guard against the wishes of his parents.

In his early years as a Guard he courted a pretty mare. It took him a few years but they were finally wed. The marriage was peaceful and happy. In its final years it produced a daughter. After which the mare left her husband and foal for grand dreams of riches and an easy life. Her eyes followed a handsome and well to do colt that enjoyed travel. She fell for his charms and readily severed ties to her ordinary husband and the simple life they had forged together.

Stormstride maintained his simple life and raised his daughter alone. A single father made things difficult for the first year. However, Stormstride adjusted easily once he learned how to get his daughter to open up to him like she had to her mother.

Taking up a volunteer position to assist the teaching of magic to foals that could not afford to attend better magic schools or were not talented enough to garner scholarships. Stormstride does feel that the selectivity of such schools is too strict, and does resent the primary school of magic in Canterlot. However he retains full faith and loyalty to his post.

One noteworthy incident was during the changeling invasion. As Canterlot fell under siege, and many guards ran right to the palace, Stormstride remained at his post in the middle class district. Herding the foals into a quiet backroom in the school, he kept them safe until the incident was over. When other guards returned, they found Stormstride still warily keeping any threat from the foals, despite his multiple though minor wounds.

Character Summary/Personality: Stormstride is a quiet Colt. He minds his own business and tends to his daughter. Loyalty until death to his Princesses, and ever faithful to his commanding officers. The colt seeks no fame or promotion. He is content in his post. While stern, he does have a soft side for foals. Treating every foal in his district as if they were a niece or nephew. Even Problematic foals that constantly get into trouble. Stormstride, however has no such forgiveness for adult ponies. He is not abusive, however being from the same family as Thunderbuck, his magic does have some basic roots in the former family profession of weather related magics and research. As such, he is able to cast wind lightning and rain spells to a mild degree. His primary magical abilities center around his work as a guard. Generating shields, levitation, location, tracking, and detaining suspects. He also possesses a knack for discerning what types of spells were used in an area, allowing him to discern the unicorn that used it more easily.
