Nopony Special wandered about near a lake just outside of Ponyville, watching the water's surface with a distant look in his heterochromic eyes. The Earth pony's tufted tail swayed behind him like a cat's, twitching every so often in anticipation. Walking over to the water's edge, the young stallion peered in to stare at his reflection. His face was expressionless as he regarded his olive-tan coat, black mane, and mismatched eyes. In the silence, he closed said eyes and listened to the sounds of his surroundings, taking in the relative peace and quiet of the place.
