Guardians of the Weak (ATTN: Lyi) [FINISHED!]

Ah, Sveltahorse. Such a wonderful town, going all the way to protect itself from the bugs. The Minotaur was more than happy to help this place get back on its hooves, especially since she could not head home.

"Good day for build!" Dolor said happily, carrying wood its destination. She stuck out like a sore thumb, especially with her armor on and her hammer over one shoulder, but she didn't care one bit.

Marquis Ebony Centarion arrived in Sveltahorse in typical RLG fashion.

In the dead of night.

Of course, he had arrived with two other lower-ranking Guards, but their arrival was met with nothing but the moonlight.  That was good enough for him.

He was here to do a 'check-up' on the town.  Honestly, he wasn't quite sure what he was to specifically do-but he knew he would be here for the next two weeks: monitoring citizen behavior, visiting local sheriffs and guards, checking in on criminal status, or anything of the sort.  Usually, the Royal Guards would do this-not the Royal Lunar Guard; but he had volunteered for the job. You see-this wasn't just any town.  This was a town run wild by Changelings.  And...well...he had a bit of a personal grudge.

With two other guards.

To monitor a relatively now-peaceful town.

He facehoofed.

---

Come the day, come the sun.  He had slept in the chariot, and stepped out to face the new day.  The first thing he noticed-was that it was definitely not morning.  Like most RLG, he prefered the night, and often slept late into the day.  The second thing he noticed, was a Minotaur not-too-far from his position.

Carrying wood.

Dolor looked around as she walked on, spotting a stallion nearby that made her stop for a moment. He looked like a warrior, but not like the others around here. She eventually gave a small wave with the hand holding her hammer before continuing on. Work first, talk later.

The...Minotaur gave a wave?

He was between very confused~

Most Minotaurs he had seen were very aggressive, quick to charge at him or question or interrogate him.  This Minotaur seemed happy to just do whatever he was doing.

He gave his head a shake to clear it, motioning to his other two Guards: Let's go into town.

Dolor had delivered the wood and helped to build the building a bit before she left to find something else to help with. She was no good with little things like nails. She tried once, but the wood broke.

The minotaur walked around the town, looking more for threats than things to help with.

"Hello! How you?" She asked as she spotted the stallion and approached him.

He gave the minotaur a nod, "Brigadier General Ebony Centarion.  We're here to check up on the town.  Would you be willing to partake in an interview?"

His trip to town had been short, filled with clearly self-sufficient ponies and cheery smiles.

Now-the hard part-getting ponies to agree for interviews.

"In ter view?" She asked, her head tilting a bit. "What mean? You want talk?" The Minotaur asked, pausing a bit. "Me Dolor." She added, realizing she had yet to give a name.

He stared, blinked, and turned to his two fellow guards.

They shrugged nonchalantly.

"Yes-if miss.  We are here to check up on the state of the town on official Crown business.  We need to maintain that the citizens of this town are in good health after the Changeling attack,"

He turned to the guard, gesturing for him to record the words, "You build?  Do you mind if we sit down somewhere?  This interview will only take about 10 minutes,"

Dolor nodded at him, leading him to a seat before sitting on the ground in front of it to put them on a more even level height-wise.

"You have question?" She asked after he sat down, watching him.

He launched into his questions, not even bothering with small talk,

"What is your full name?  Where is your city of birth?  How long have you been in Svel?  How has the Changeling Invasion affected Svel?  How has the Changeling Invasion affected you?  What is your job?  How old are you?  What happened during the Changeling Invasion?  At what specific place were you during the Changeling Invasion?"

He paused, realizing that the minotaur might not be able to reply to questions as fast as his guards.  Granted, she wasn't exactly trained to do so, either.

"Umm..." She said, blinking at the rapid-fire questions. "Me Dolor... I born in tribe... Dunno..." She paused, looking around to answer his next question. "Not here for attack... I protect... 30 winters?" She tilted her head, not actually sure on that point. After a moment she continued. "Bugs attack, town burns itself, bugs leave... When attack?" She finished, having been counting off with her fingers to try and remember the questions.

He stared blankly, "Why don't we do this question by question...What's your full name?  Do you have a surname?"

His voice lost it's harsh, assertive tone-instead opting for the occasional softness he had once used on his daughter.

"Me Dolor." She said, a little annoyed at having to repeat herself for a third time. "No other name... You want title?" She asked, realizing that might be what he wanted.

He nodded, "Whatever you full title, name, or address is, please,"

He snatched a notebook from one of his guards, opting to take notes himself instead.

"Tribe... Plains..." She said, not sure what the name for the place was. Dolor fell silent, her face screwed up in thought for a moment. "Minotaur lands?" She offered, looking back to him.
