History:

 

Bracelets was born to a family with deep roots in law enforcement and justice, with one mom being a detective and another being an assistant DA. She grew up with a deep and abiding love and respect for the rule of law and was raised upright with a clearly defined sense of right and wrong. She got in trouble at school not because she was a troublemaker, but because she had a habit of tattling on others when she thought they did something wrong. While a few ponies were upset with her for this, she generally was well-liked due to her outgoing demeanor and her desire to help others.

 

Her parents indulged her personality to their heart's content and gave her both law enforcement and law books, which certainly made her feel like the odd one out during reading time at her school. Her parents bought her fake toy badges, fake little cop uniforms, and fake hoofcuffs. This was in many ways a terrible mistake, as her idea of playing cops and robbers at recess caused loads of problems for others. After one incident ended with half of her class hogtied and handcuffed to various playground objects she was finally in trouble with the school. While waiting outside of the office while her parents spoke with the Principal, she saw a shady figure walking outside of the school.

 

A smart filly would have left it alone, but a bold filly says feh to that! she followed the shady figure a few blocks until he met up with other shady fellows. She overheard them talking about CRIMINAL MATTERS. Bracelets was a bold little filly and when the group separated she 'arrested' who she thought was the ringleader. Of course her hoofcuffs were plastic and he broke free, giving her chase. It didn't last long as Bracelets' parents had been frantically looking for her. Through luck and no shortage of gumption, Bracelets played a role in bringing down a low-level street gang of CRIMINAL CRIME MAKERS. In doing so, she earned her cutie mark- a nice pair of 'bracelets', as she calls them. Bracelets' Bracelets.

 

She knew right then that she NEEDED to be a police officer, not that it wasn't screamingly obvious before. When she was old enough she attended the Academy and earned top marks and soon joined the force. Her ceaseless desire to stop crime and seek out justice for ponies got her into some hot water as she often went above and certainly beyond the call of duty, but she was extremely effective at her work and adored by ponies on her beat. Known as one of the best patrol officers in the city, she is quickly moving up the ranks

Character Personality:

 

Bracelets has a deep and abiding love for the city of Manehatten and feels as though criminals are dirtying it up. While many officers can sympathize with criminals, Bracelets cannot. You do the crime, she'll ensure you do the time! She does believe in second chances and that most criminals, especially younger ones, are good ponies deep down and just need some tough love. She doesn't hold grudges unless somepony's crimes severely hurt somepony else. She doesn't build rapport with criminals and instead relies on her knowledge and skills to help her. She treats well those who cooperate, but has little patience for having her chain pulled.

 

She can be impulsive and quick to action, even if it is against department regulations. She will chase suspects for dozens of city blocks even after the chase is called off and will break off of her patrol route to start an impromptu one-pony investigation. When she does find trouble she is one of the department's very best hoof to hoof fighters and has a near perfect apprehension rate. She can take a licking and keep on ticking with the best of them and she has a wide range of training and skills in a large number of different disciplines. She takes several combat classes outside of work to improve these skills.

 

She will follow the law to a tee when it comes to what is and is not a crime, but she is not a slave to poor decisions from above. She has a very strong, at times fiery hot, sense of what is right and wrong and while she won't let crimes go unpunished if she can do anything about it, she certainly has an internal classification and responds to incidents with a hierarchy of needs. She is extremely opinionated and makes sure to let others know it, but she will still follow a direct order no matter how much she may dislike it. She is a third generation officer and she won't be held in contempt of her own legacy.

 

She loves her work dearly as well as her fellow officers. She has gone far beyond anything reasonable to keep them safe during a crisis is a welcome sight in most meetings. She is intensely proud of her position and outside of her work will wear her dress uniform just about everywhere, with another quad of work boots and her own personalized bracelets on her hip. She has little of a social life outside of her work friends because of her high standards and at times demanding attitude. She expects those she befriends to have her same standards and doesn't tolerate less.
