~~~Ice Storm~~~
"We're on a date yes, but we still haven't seen each other in a while! so it always fun to catch up and share ideas with one another on how to improve results!" Ice smiled. She then heard Raven talk about the last time that they tried going to a performance like this. Their first date in the Crystal Empire. The night that Icy found out that this time she could actually be the one. When she said that it would probably be better than the jousting show, and added that at the very least there wouldn't be a kiss cam, she nodded. Of course, the playful wink that she got didn't go without Icy pecking a kiss onto Raven. There may not be a kiss cam, but that didn't mean there wouldn't be kissing!!! "Perhaps there won't be, but there will be plenty of time for kissing later," she added with a sultry smile.
Without much further delay, Ice finished eating and took care of the tab, telling the waitress to just put it on hers and that she would take care of it when she got back that night. Being the owner of the establishment had it's perks. Of course for doing so, she gave the mare a hefty tip as well. The two of them made their way outside and the sun was already starting to set for the evening. Seeing as it was still late winter, early spring the nights were still a bit longer. She could also already see a lot of ponies starting to gather around the Mareage. Their security was also out in force as they were still setting everything up. The mare of the out could be seen warming up over by the volcano stretching. That flightsuit was new! Ice had seen her in several before that she'd worn for shows inside her hotel, but she hadn't seen that one yet. It was very pretty.
As pretty as it was though, the mare next to her had the most beautiful dress on right now. They made their way up to where the lines were, and almost instantly Mareage security waved them over. Ice smiled and led Raven with her. "Good evening Mrs. Storm. You and you're significant other come for the show?" she was asked by the guard. She simply nodded as the guard motioned for her past the booths. Ice obliged, but she did take a moment to check the admittance prices and hand the amount to the guard.
"See that the tickets are bought. We'll be sitting in the back upper rows, but I'm paying the maximum ticket price. Wind Dancer is an amazing pony and an even more amazing dancer. She deserves all the support we can give her," she smiled before giving Raven another small kiss as they headed in.
Raven walked beside Icy, resting her head lightly on Icy, partly not to lose her, and partly so as not to get separated in the crowd that had started to form up around their destination. She could see a pegasus over on their own in a protected area, wearing a flight suit, stretching. That must of been the performer they were going to see. As they came to the crowd, she was surprised to see they were waved over and let through fairly quickly, before realizing that with Icy being an owner of a casino here, she'd of course be a known figure, though she did blush a little at being called Icy's significant other. She'd have to get over that at some point, if nothing else than because Icy was an up and coming figure in Equestria's nobility... Not to mention the fact that she was friends with some of the princesses... She smiled as she thought of that, excited to see just how far her marefriend could go. As they took their seats near the top of the arena, she thought back to what Icy had said, about them not seeing each other in a while. "You know... I... I wish I could spend more time with you... but... but all my research and books and stuff are in Canterlot..." She said, a wistful look on her face...
The crowd began to gather more and more as the time started to approach the selected hour of the performance. They had made it here with about an hour to spare and the main seating section of the bleacher seats were still available. She smiled and led her way up to the very top row, before finding enough space for herself and Raven. She smiled, feeling Raven leaning against her the entire time since they'd left her casino. As they sat down, she leaned in and gave her another kiss. She saw the look her face when she brought up the fact that she would love to spend more time with her, but all of her research and books and stuff were in Canterlot. Ice smiled and nuzzled her gently before leaning up and whispering into her ear.
"What if one of the surprises that I had planned for you was already a way to deal with that part," she said pulling back with a smile. "I love you, and I want you to be around more, and since your research is vital many, I've decided to give you a research facility here in Las Pegasus. I was planning on surprising you with it later... but," she started. She was cut out though as all the lights in the area dimmed. She was relieved to see that the ponies running things at her casino hadn't forgotten about the event either. All the external lights from the Ice Tower were cut, as well many of the lights from the other casinos. "Well, I'll just have to show it to you after this," she smiled and settled in.
Spoiler
The spotlight came on and Wind Dancer started the initial routine. The song was one that she, and was fairly certain everypony else recognized as well. What was more intrinsic was the fact that the Mareage had managed to time a the Volcano with a lot of the music. It was quite an impressive display and it really brought Wind Dancer and the routine that she made for it to life. It was the perfect song selection. Ice can certainly say that she wasn't expecting the Mareage to actually activate the Volcano during this, but it was all timed! !he geysers, the bursts of flame! Wind's routine as well! It was superb as always, and the brochure was living up to its comments. the waters on top of the lake were churning and splashing onto the crowd on the lower seats, and some of the larger swells sent mist and droplets all they way up to where they were sitting!
"Oh," she said softly Wind started to get to the intensive parts of the routine. When she got to the burst of Axials in rapid succession, she couldn't contain her excitement. "Did you see that! Oh my gosh!" she started before going silent again pointing at the swirling winds over the lake. "Look!!! she made a hurricane!!! That's intense!!" She fell silent again watching her pull the winds with her as she started dancing around the volcano and picking up speed. Ice could feel the strength of the wind getting pulled into the performance, and it was enough to make her happy that she was sitting on the tail of her dress, otherwise she'd be fighting to keep it down. Then with the final chord of the song the Volcano gave off it's climatic explosion that it was known for. What she wasn't expecting was to see Wind hit the explosion at the same time taking the fire and the water soaring into the sky as all of the wind rushed up into the air.
There was a pause as the volcano wound down, and then the next song played. Started off as just the words, but she knew this song, and when it built up, she couldn't help bot bob around with it. She looked over to Raven with all smiles and full of excitement. Ice was completely overjoyed. She was out with her marefriend and getting to watch what had been an amazing show so far. She leaned in with some of her bobs and in time with the music would peck kisses all over Raven's cheek. She encouraged the mare of her life to move and dance with her as she watched Wind. The shapes that she made with the water were awesome and the final note and the slow descent was something that had to be incredibly difficult! the balance that required from Wind Dancer would have been immense because she was riding the wind down with one wing closed. She didn't know much about the physiology of a pegasus, but she knew that both wings were generally required to maintain stability in the air. She landed on the rim of the volcano and there was another pause.
Ice though, not knowing what was planned or going on, nearly jumped out of her seat when Wind Dancer fell backwards into the Volcano. At first she thought that she had slipped on the wet rock, and she apparently wasn't the only one as many in the stands were already getting up, and most of the pegasi already had their wings open to go check on her. Then next chords hit from the deafening silence as the Volcano rared it's head one final time and shot Wind into the sky, causing Ice to sit back down as she sped down the mountain and slid to the crowd, covering all of them in a massive wave. Ice was positively soaked now, but her heart was going a mile a minute as she calmed down from what she now had to summarize was an intentional scare and she watched Wind continue with an intensity and ferocity that Beethooven would require. To the point where the lake itself started following every movement of the dancer with all the wind on the surface of it. Every jet of water caught in the gusts.
As the piece continued though, and the dancing continued, Ice found herself leaning more and more into the mare that was next to her. She scooted to where they were touching flank-to-flank and she wrapped her hoof around her shoulder. "I love you," she said to Raven as the music swelled again and began going though it's final climaxes. Mist and wind continued to blow over them, and once again as the final note of the classical piece rang through, Wind was back in the sky.
Then suddenly, a loud crash and every light in the district went off. All of them... Even the moon had been blocked out for this piece. There was nothing but complete darkness, and the slowly building sounds of music. And then a few flickers of light on Wind Dancer, in time with the music. Then another, with Wind in a different pose, and then another. The strobe light got faster and faster, and then with the first bass drop, all the lights in the event and only the event came back on. Strobe lights everywhere shooting though the water in different colors, shooting through the mist, rotating on the lake side, all while at least four of them focused on Wind as she went into another very upbeat dance routine and creating the illusion of a hologram. This continued until the the second crash and everything dimmed again. She leaned in to whisper to Raven. "Told you she was good. One of the only ones I'll actually pay to see," Ice smiled as Wind went through a set of poses with each snare hit. On the final one, the lights cut out except for the ones that were on Wind Dancer and they flashed rapidly, making her appear like she was dancing in stills. It was a wonderful play of lighting and illusions helped along by the wind, which because of all the mist in the air, could be seen swirling around Wind as it's eye.
The music then continued through a very similar version of the first verse before ending just as it began, with a crash, and wind now standing on the water once more. She simply had to know how they managed to to that. She knew that pegasi could cloud walk, and that it took water to make clouds, but she wondered what else there was that was preventing her from falling in, unless she was just simply hovering to maintain the illusion. Her wings weren't moving, but there was enough wind in the air around her, that it could easily support her. She went into another classical routine done in a figure wind skating style of dance. This one seemed to rely more on twirls and ballerina moves more than the jumps and axials that the other two were, but it was by no means less intense. The sprays of water, the jets bursting up, and the occasional jets of flame gave way to a continuous spray of all of jets in the lake. Fire, water, all of it shot into the air as Wind weaved and danced her way around them. Of course, every time one of the flame jets activated near the pavilion they were on, Icy leaned even harder into Raven, and when it activated and stayed on, she clutched onto her tightly.
Everything shut off when the last of Beethooven sounded once more, and just like the previous two classical songs Wind ended it in the air though. The difference was though for this last song... This last song it looked as if Wind Dancer was looking right at them. Right at her and Raven, and she even saw her wink at them! At least Icy presumed that it was directed at them... and then the final song started and Icy was.... breathless... she knew this song very well, and the first vocals started, she looked at Raven. This song... It... It was vocalizing all of Ice's emotions ever since Raven and her had been together that first night. Her eyes watered heavily as the rush of emotion overwhelmed her and she wrapped herself around her as tightly as she could. They were already soaked so she wouldn't notice the happy tears flowing into her dress, or at least she didn't think she would.
Raven blinked at Icy's revealing of the surprise. "You... You made a lab... for... for me?" She said, disbelief and happiness in her voice. She didn't get much of a chance to say anything else though as the lights around went out and the music started. She was familiar with the first song, having had to attend a few operas due to her obligations as the last heir of her house. However, seeing Wind Dancer dive and soar in time as well as the volcano go off with the music brought something special to it, reviving the song. She watched with rapt attention, even as some of the spray of water washed over her, a wide smile on her face.
"I know, you weren't kidding, She's amazing!" She said, responding to Icy. Soon, however, it wasn't just her smile that was wide, but her eyes too as the wind started to pick up, pulling the water into a swirl of rain clouds. She'd never seen a hurricane before, but even she could recognize the structure of one, and she couldn't believe that one mare alone was fast and strong enough to generate one. She was speechless, especially with how the winds whipped around them, seemingly like a very strong summer breeze. Then, Wind Dancer left her even more speechless as she soared through the explosion of the volcano, even though in her mind she knew it had to be safe, she was too wrapped up in the moment.
When the next song came on, Raven found herself drawn in, despite not particularly liking the song. The energy of the performance and the crowd drug her along though, especially with how into it Icy seemed. She felt Icy give her short little pecks on the cheeks, and smiled, the energy making her bob a little. However, she very quickly snapped out of it when Wind Dancer started to drift down with one wing closed, a quick thought of Wind being hurt being banished by how serene she looked. It was planned, and so was the graceful fall backwards, though she couldn't help the soft smirk that crossed her face as she felt Icy shift nearby. She'd recognized the poise thanks to her family's hoof-to-hoof training, even if she couldn't recognize the exact intent. However, her jaw dropped as the mare was shot out of the volcano, a massive spray of water coming. She was so focused on the mare, that up until the wave was right on top of them, she wasn't aware of it. A quick wave of panic crossed her face as a smoky green wave of magic flashed on her horn, wrapping her in a quick shield... and diverting most of the water onto those around her... including Icy. She looked over, but she didn't seem to mind, enjoying the performance still. She really needed to get that spell under control, and she blushed at the slight embarrassment that the accidental cast had brought to her, not that many seemed to even notice. Still, it wasn't a shock of magic shooting across the arena, so so far, everything was good... especially when Icy told her she loved her. She smiled and gave her a quick peck, leaning into her. "I love you too." She said, watching for the next part of the performance.
The next part was a little much for Raven, the flashing lights hurting her eyes a bit, but she could tell still how much work had went into this part of the routine. Not only Wind had to be spot on with her dancing, but the ponies operating the lights and effects too. When it wound down, she smiled again, leaning her head onto Icy's shoulder as Wind seemed to stand on the surface of the water, an amazing effect. Soon, the next song began, and with, came more special effects. The jets of water and flame added to the spectacle, and she couldn't say that she didn't enjoy how Icy snuggled up to her as the jets of flame near them went off, though she knew it was from fear of the heat, and did her best to comfort Icy, drawing her into a kiss to try to distract her from the flames. As the flames died, she let go, a slightly goofy smile on her face as her sparked a bit. She was soon back to normal though, just in time for the last of the performance. It was a great song, and seemed to sum up everything that she felt for Icy, how every touch of theirs was electric, making her heart beat, and she hugged Icy close, eyes closed as she leaned into her...
~~~Ice Storm~~~

Ice's light sobs of happiness continued throughout the final song. The energy from the heavy dance parts pouring into her, but she had since stopped paying full attention to the show and at this point was more focused on the mare next to her that had just pulled her into an even tighter hug and leaned into Ice. She started to slowly sway with Raven, never letting go, and never moving. Locked in the embrace of loving companionship for the duration of the final song. After all, how could she focus on anything else when the final song portrayed the two of them so well. Honestly, the longer that they held on to each other, the more it felt like the world around them was standing still and everything else around them didn't matter. The only thing that mattered at this point in time, was the mare that was wrapped in her hooves. She pulled up to give a long passionate kiss on Raven's cheek as she pulled away as the song finally ended. "I love you... So much I love you," she pulled back with a smile. "Nice dodge earlier as well. You've been getting better with that spell."

Wind Dancer then landed just behind the lake on the shoreline for the final pose and then all the lights came back on. The first thing she did was look back to Raven and smiling as she wiped her eyes clean. the pegasi next to her was the first to stand in applause but would not be the last as the entire square erupted in a much louder fashion than the volcano had during the show. Ice herself had joined in the cheering, but even if she hadn't there would be no way they could move or hear anything else at the moment. The square was packed. It looked like ponies had come from all over to see this show. She was happy that they got here when they did. Almost every hotel window in the surrounding area was open as well, including some of those from hers. That would likely lead to extra cleaning on the Ice Tower tomorrow. They'd need to make sure no water got in and started doing it's nasty stuff to the structure.

The applause started to die down, only to pick back up again as the organizers mentioned Wind Dancer in the ending credits of the event. Then per customs they started crediting all of the other staff that had helped with the production and the Mareage for hosting the event. From there ponies started to disperse and many made their way over to where Wind Dancer had landed on the public side of the gate, trying to get autographs and the like. Watching the mare smile and play with fillies and making them laugh and smile was a sight to behold. Eventually they got up to where she was. "That show was amazing Wind! I think that's been one of your best ones yet, and that's really saying something!" Ice said with a smile. "That hurricane you made was amazing and you nearly gave me a heart attack when you fell into the volcano!!!"

Wind Dancer just laughed a bit before smiling. "Thanks Icy.The hurricane was a little something that I'd been working on since the idea for this show was pitched to me. But it was actually fairly simple with the way the jets and everything kept misting the water. Really, it was a hurricane in shape alone. I think Las Pegasus would frown on me actually creating a hurricane here. Not to mention, I don't think something like that is physically possible for a single pony to make. A strong windstorm maybe in a localized area. A full fledged hurricane? I don't even thing Rainbow could do that by herself and she can generate multiple times the wind that I can just with her speed alone. Now the fall though, yeah... that was by design. Put the crowd on the edge of their seats so that they had little chance to react to the wave that was getting ready to come at them," she said before looking to the other unicorn that was with her other proprietor.

"Nice reflexive casting by the way. I caught that out of the corner of my eye. Thankfully the pose had me facing away from the crowd because I smirked a bit. I was hoping to try to make up for it by getting you with another one later in the show," she smiled playfully before seeing that Sky Sailing was also starting to make his way towards her. She waved to him before turning back to Ice and the other mare. "Hey! Listen I gotta run for now, but would love to catch up later!" she said smiling and excusing herself before bouncing happily over to the other pegasi that... had a very similar likeness as to her.

Ice smiled, noticing how Wind approached the other pegasy before turning back to Raven. "Well. It seems that somepony might have finally gotten her attention," she said with a smile. "Why don't we go take a look at your future research lab. I'd show you to you're new home, but I've already taken you there once, and we'll be going back there eventually tonight anyways... If... If you'd want to that is..." Ice said with a very hopeful tone. She wanted to spend so much more time with her and do a lot more together, and the best way to do that was to.... well... Have her move in with her. She just hoped that she would want to.

Raven held Icy close throughout the last song, a warm smile on her face. It wasn't as exciting as when they kissed, but that didn't matter as just being close to Icy was enough for her. As the song wore down, Icy mentioned her shield, and she blushed slightly again. "I... I didn't actually mean to cast it... For some reason, certain spells of mine are always right there, ready to be cast at a moments notice, and that is one of them..." She said, right before the crowd started to applaud, drowning out any other words she would have said. She applauded too, as the show was every bit as amazing as was advertised, if not more so.

When the applause died down, and the crowd started to disperse, she followed Icy, who headed down to meet with the performer. It took a second for Raven to remember that Icy said she'd hired her before, so they'd likely be friends. Sure enough, Wind Dancer almost immediately recognized Icy, and the two had a short conversation. However, Raven was surprised when Wind mentioned her spell, and couldn't help the blush that happened. Before she got a chance to respond, however, somepony else caught Wind's attention and she'd left.

Icy then mentioned looking at the lab, and Raven smiled, nodding. What followed though was a bit of a shock. Icy... Icy wanted them... to live together. The idea was amazing, and Raven realized quickly how much she loved the idea, though it was quickly followed by some slight panic at the thought of what would need to be done. She had a bunch of stuff in Canterlot, and depending on the size of her lab, she wasn't sure how much she could bring... plus, she couldn't just sell her family's home... The land it was on had been a gift from the princesses, long ago. She'd need to get a caretaker... A few more thoughts ran through her head before she realized she'd been silent for a bit, and blinked, hoping the look of shock on her face conveyed just how unprepared she was for this, and not that she didn't want to do it. "Sorry... I... I just... Wow... I mean of course, Yes! I... I got lost, thinking of what I'd need to do... I would need to move the entirety of my study... And some of the stuff in the training room... And... and hire someone to take care of the house..." She said, trailing off before she quickly gave Icy a passionate hug and kiss. She thought she heard some random pony say something about getting a room, but she had one now, and it was with this amazing and beautiful mare she was embracing...

There was a long pause, and the look of shock on Raven's face left her anxious to her response. Then Raven gave her answer. I've was delighted when she answered that she would come live with her. That the pause was because she got lost in thinking of everything that would need to be done to prepare for said move.

"I'm sure that the facility will have more than enough room for all of your equipment and supplies. I had it made quite large. Everything else we can take care of along the way. I'm afraid that I personally can't help out with the caretaker aspect of it, but I can talk to Twilight the next time I see her and see if she has any recommendations for it," Ice smiled before leading Raven back inside the Fire and Ice. She took her in what appeared to be a lounge area before opening a door to a room with two elevators in it. She went to the one farthest from them and hit down. "Now, I remember when we first met, that HQ, was still under construction. I'm happy to announce that is no longer the case, and is where your lab is. The other large project, is about an hour and a half northwest, so that will be a trip for tomorrow."

Raven followed Icy, nodding. "It's more my family's library that I'm worried about transferring... They have detailed spell manuals and tactic textbooks... anatomy books... Basically, you know that story trope about the monster hunters that have a library full of information on the things they hunt? That may actually have been based on my family, from way back in the past..." She said as they headed back into the building. "I'm sure that any equipment that you can acquire would be better than what I'm messing with, though having the stuff from my home would at least help with setting up any particular magical arrays and such..." She finished, as Icy pressed the button on the secret elevator. "There's another big thing you're building? I can't wait to see that too!"

Ice listened as Raven spoke about the library that her family had. She couldn't help the look of amazement on her face when she described how much detailed information it had on different creatures and the like. "Well then, we will have to make sure that every book is cataloged and accounted for when it's being moved. It won't be too hard to set up a library for that knowledge. It may not fit up here in the Penthouse, but it can very easily be expanded into the base. With little to no time at all actually. As far as equipment goes, I can get you... pretty much any equipment you want," she said before stepping into the elevator as it dinged. It then began to drop, a bit quicker than one would expect for a normal elevator.

"It just depends on where you're at in the research. Right now, I don't have much in the way of stuff in the lab because I don't know what you want or need yet, but I have enough space for you to be able to figure that out and have room to work. As for the other thing, we'll have to see that tomorrow, and that knowledge isn't allowed to leave the underground. At least not for a couple weeks yet. She's ready we just have to finish the tunnel to get her out of the ground." Ice finished.

Raven nodded as the elevator started flowing down, listening to Icy. "To be honest, most of the books are journals that were kept by my family, but they were useful anyway. Like for example, I have a couple of journals that describe living in the Castle of the Twin Sisters. After the whole... Nightmare Moon thing, and the castle was abandoned, they go on to describe some theories how the Everfree forest came to be, and some of the best ways to deal with the monsters in it. One of the ones I think was most interesting is that because of the Elements of Harmony were in frequent use during that time, they formed a barrier that kept a source of dark magic restricted, but when they were lost during the fight, it allowed the dark magic to seep into the land, and create the forest." She said, before looking off in thought. "As for equipment, the only things I know for sure I need right now is some Aetheric monitoring equipment, and a lot of crystals, as well as miscellaneous magical research supplies..." She shook her head, thinking more about what could be being built that was underground, and would need to be dug out afterwords...

Ice smiled and nodded as the elevator came to a stop and the door opened into a massive control room with ponies in uniform taking care of a multitude of tasks, mostly assisting with communications from other parts of the base. Everypony on deck stood at attention as she made her way in, motioning for them to be at east. She had hoped that her attire had made it known that she wasn't here on official business, but ponies still knew who she was and treated the Commanding Officer accordingly. "If they are journals of the family then it is even more imperative that they remain close at hoof. After all, something like that has value that cannot be monetized and it should be within access to you at all times. If nothing else for the piece of mind that it's still there. Some of those journals would be an interesting read myself. I've often wondered about the mysteries of the Castle of the Twin Sisters, and thought about making a visit there at some point," she said with a smile leading her down a hallway before coming to a door that already had Raven's name under it with the title Aether Specialist.

Ice unlocked the door and led Raven inside, and much like Ice had said, it was mostly empty at the moment, but it was very spacious. There was enough space to house several different pieces of Aetheric monitoring Equipment and crystals galore. Ice nodded at the comments of what Raven as going to need and smiled. "Make a list of everything you might need or want for the research and I'll see to it that it gets procured. We only use the best here so you'll always have top of the line research materials and supplies," she smiled.

Raven's smile froze slightly as the elevator came to a stop and opened into the main control room of the base. She hesitantly stepped out, following Icy, feeling a little awkward about it as she watched the others stop and salute Icy, or at least briefly snap to attention. She briefly wondered how many knew they were dating, a thought that brought a blush to her face that was quick to disappear when they made it to the hallway. When they got to the door... her door, she took note of it, noticing it already had a title on it. "Aether Specialist? I mean... I know a lot about non-spell form casting... but a Specialist, really?" She asked as they headed in, and she took stock of the size of the room. It had a few counters and cabinets lining the walls, but other than that it was wide open. "I... I'll do that..." She said slowly, a little speechless because of everything...

Ice could see the gears turning in many of the agent's minds. Of course, there really wasn't any attempt in her to hide the fact that she here with somepony important to her. Ice was in the base and not in uniform, but instead a very attractive dress that glistened in all of the aether-lights that were going off as she walked by. Raven behind her also in a very nice, very pretty dress following in hoof would leave very little to the imagination of others in the base. There would be no way to hide that they were a couple. She smiled as she heard Raven's reaction to the door. "Well, you're the only pony that I know of that can cast spells like that, so I believe that makes you a perfect fit for the title. You'll probably also be working and assisting with the research on the other project as well because it follows a similar principle for generating power for what I'm building. That being said, what do you think? Do you like it? Please tell me you like it..." she said taking note of her mild speechlessness.

Raven blinked, shaking her head to gather her thoughts. "Yes! It's just... It's so much to take in." She said, starting to smile, before quickly giving a hug and a passion filled kiss to Icy. After breaking off with a quick shudder and spark from her horn, she continued. "Um... Could... is there a storeroom nearby that we could turn into a library for the books. If... if this is supposed to be a lab, it might not be the best place to store those books. Wait... Wait I'd help with others too? I... I haven't really worked with others with spells... not since... Well... you know..." She trailed off, indicating her horn. She also didn't quite know how to articulate the uncertainty she was feeling about being able to describe her processes to others, when hers were so different.

The smile that was already on Ice's face and had been there for most of the night widened when Raven told her that she liked what she had for her. That she was just speechless because of it being so much to take in, although in not that many words... you know, whole... speechless thing. She returned the passionate hug and kiss that Raven was giving her before pulling back a bit, her smile as full as it's been all night before. When she asked about a nearby store room for the library, that since this was a lab it might not be the best place for books, Ice nodded. She then noted that Raven seemed a bit apprehensive about working with the others and motioned up to her horn. Ice leaned in and nuzzled her gently.

"No pony within the organization here will judge you because of how you have to cast your magic. They've been trained better than that.. In fact, it's because of that fact, that makes you the best culprit to work with them. You have to be a master of reading aether in order to be able to cast the way that you can, so reading aether for the cores and the other projects that they could be used on could give us valuable insights on how to better the weapons of the ships, and other devices that we have. Anything we can do to make the aether more efficient will help us in the long run. I would like to be able to get it to the point where the aether usage of the ships are almost equal to that of ambient aether it pulls in to refuel itself. That could drastically reduce our downtime for resupplying." she smiled before pausing and realizing that she might have been getting a bit overly tactical for the date. She simply smiled and nuzzled Raven again. "You'll do perfect. I know you will, and we can easily turn one of the other unused adjacent rooms into the library. Wouldn't be that much of an effort at all."

Raven smiled and nodded, reassured by Icy's words. "Well, it's more that because I don't use proper spell forms, it's really hard to teach other's how to cast my spells. It'd be like if I met someone who only spoke neighponese... We'd have trouble communicating, you know?" She said, leaning against Icy. "Well, it's getting pretty late... if we're going to be taking a small trip tomorrow, we might need to head to bed soon..." She winked at Icy, wondering if she'd get the hint.

"Perhaps, but you'd all would eventually learn how to communicate effectively the longer your around each other. That being said, aether is aether. There's no wrong way to make it work," Ice smiled before she heard Raven say that it was starting to get late and since they were talking a bit of a trip tomorrow they might wanna head to bed soon. The wink from her eye though told they that it was likely that they weren't gonna be sleeping any time soon. "That sounds like a good idea to me. Let's head back upstairs."

(whoops, kinda forgot it was my turn, sorry...)

Raven grinned as Icy talked about heading back upstairs, a tingle running through her as she thought back to the night they'd spent together in the Crystal Empire. She headed towards the door, putting what she hoped was a nice sway in her steps as she did, although she knew she didn't have to put on much of a show for Icy. "Yeah... I... I just have one last question... Commander... What will your troops think if  when we walk out I'm draped all over you?" She said, trying to come off as teasing, but it was clear from her voice that this was the first time she'd ever spoken like this...

Ice couldn't help but let out a smirk when Raven started swaying her hips back and forth. When she asked what the rest of her troops would think with her draped all over her. "I think they will react a bit at first. Likely with a bit of teasing as there would be in any military setting, but they'll get over it pretty quickly," she smiled before opening the door leading back to the main command center and then to the elevator that lead back up to her penthouse.

Raven smiled lovingly as she followed Icy back through the Command center, only a slight blush coloring her face as they crossed past the troops. To be honest, she could probably handle the teasing, and could even see a few who might be a problem in that regard, if their smirks were anything to go by... No, it was the others, the ones who's frowns hid other emotions that she was worried about... and to be honest, She could probably kick their flanks, especially once her armor arrived... As she stepped into the elevator, a thought emerged. "Hey, Icy... Do you know anything about enchanting armor?" She said, starting to get an idea of how to possibly begin to work on the focus...
