Occupation: She is currently applying to the weather patrol at her parents' request & is currently waiting approval.

Motivation: Not really her motivation specifically, but her parents want her to follow in their footsteps & join the weather patrol team, for her skills will hopefully be useful to them (see Cutie Mark Story).

Character Summary: Misty Day was born in Solstice Heights in an ordinary fashion. Her mother Sunny Day & father Windy Day were very proud to have a beautiful female foal, with eyes that lit up the room (not literally).

Ever since she started school she was often the target of bullying. One day, during lunchtime, Misty was sitting (as usual, alone) at a table when a young earth pony came & sat with her. She was new & introduced herself as Goody Two-Shoes. Once the bullies arrived Goody stood up for Misty. To that day bullies never bother her again, & she gain a wonderful best friend in Goody Two-Shoes.

Misty is currently unemployed while she waits for approval to allow her to become a weather patrol member.

Cutie Mark Story: It was a normal weekend for Misty Day. Her parents were teaching her how to manipulate clouds, in hopes that she would join the weather patrol (they themselves were in the weather patrol too). This week's lesson was hail. As a cloud floated by, Misty gently brought it to the backyard. She shook it, she kicked it, but she could not make it hail. Frustrated because she could not please her parents, she started to cry & rested on the cloud, when a thought went through her mind; what does a cloud taste like? So she bit the cloud, & once she was chewing the cloud (which was surprisingly dlicious, to her happiness), the cloud deflated like a balloon, & it left fog, as if the cloud was full of it. The house was covered in fog, & her parents paniced. Misty, not knowing what the problem was, gently led them inside. Her parents questioned her about the fog, which she stated that there was no fog. Suddenly, an idea came to her. Misty went outside & flew over the house. It looked fine. But when she squinted her eyes, she could see it! She gasped: somehow she was blind to fog! And when the fog cleared a few minutes later, Misty told her parents of her discovery. Her parents were proud to, & they pointed at her flank. Misty looked, & found her cutie mark!

Abilities:

• Misty, being a pegasus, can fly. This ability is nothing special, as almost all pegasi can fly.
  
• Misty's cutie mark resembles her some-what blindness to fog. She can see mist if she is squinting or very tired, where her eye sight worsens. She might be vulnerable to certain mists (enchanted fog?), though.
  

Interests: Misty likes foggy days, & quiet walks in Whitetail Wood. She likes to be quiet & doesn't mind not standing out of the crowd. In a way, she wants to be as 'invisible' as possible, like someone would be in mist.

Personality: Misty is a shy individual & incrediably modest about her abilities. She recieves lots of praise from her parents, but often brushes the praise aside, & often remindes them (as politely as she can) that is just another pony in the crowd.

Like everypony though, she does have flaws. Her lack of assertiveness helped her become a target for bullying; she has trouble saying 'no' in fear of displeasing others. Fear itself also rules her life; she has been known to miss out on grand experiences because of fear. An example of this was when she & a few friends of hers went hiking on some of the higher mountains in Solstice Heights when they came across a cave. Misty, unlike her friends, did not want to go inside (it had an ominous green light glowing deep inside the cave), so she volunteered to stay outside & look after the equipment. When the others came out, they talked about the marvels of the cave; it turned out that it was inhabited by glow-worms! As they went home Misty could help but feel a bit disappointed with herself.

It looks like there is already a character named Misty. You'll need to add to or change your characters name to be unique. I'm also not sure about her 'blind fog' ability, that's something I'll bring up to the other staff to see what they think.

Having looked at the application myself, I'mma say it's a cute and very interesting little application - the skill itself gives a thoughtfully unique approach to how Fog may be distributed in Equestria, and really tries to make it interesting. At this point, whilst it might need a little more fleshing out with regards to perhaps highlighting some aspects of her personality like flaws, interests and her general approach to interacting with other ponies, I don't think I see anything drastically out of place here.

Certainly one I like the look of right now - maybe other ponies have views and ideas to propose for it before it's fully assessed, and I would like to encourage them to do so!
