Occupation: A travelling gambler

Motivation: Bits, bits and more bits. He's also continuously gambling because its the only way he knows how to bring up his son Reno.

Likes: Gambling, especially Poker and 21 (Blackjack). His son Reno. Traveling to different Casinos and gaming establishments.

Dislikes: Loosing a game.

Character Summary:

History – Blackjack is one of the risk takers of the Golucky family. Ever since he was a little colt he had always taken an interest in card games. He had always won against his playmates when they played Go Fish or Crazy Eights. Later as he grew older, he learned how to play 21 (Blackjack) and Poker. The lure of bits also got to him as he won big during his first time, and this event got him his cutie mark. So from there he had got into trouble a lot of times, running away from taverns and establishments when he couldn't pay for his debt.

Flaws/Fortes – Blackjack is an easygoing Pony who has a lot of patience. He's been known to have that “poker face” when he played. This was an advantage for him when he was winning. Unfortunately, he kept this same face when he talked with other Ponies, so one could not tell if he was actually serious or not.

Personality – Blackjack has been known for his patience and easygoing nature. He's a talkative Pony who definitely can speak for himself and sometimes mistaken for a “posh” Pony since he had been gambling and hanging around a lot of the more rich folk of Equestria.

Relationships – Blackjack had been married once to a beautiful waitress Mare, Charm. They had met in a Casino at Manehattan where he was winning big. She was the eye of almost every stallion so he had his work cut out for him. To impress her, he had to win big, and so he did, as he beat one of the richest Pony merchants in Manehattan in a poker game. He then asked her out to a date to the most snazzy places in town which she happily agreed. The rest is history as he settled down in Manehattan and married her. Unfortunately, Charm had not survived when she was giving birth to their son Reno due to complications and as she let out her last breath she made Blackjack promise to raise their little foal properly, to grow up a proper Pony not following in their ways. When Reno was old enough to speak, he began to wonder where his mother was. Blackjack wasn't quite sure how to explain his mother's death when he was born so he made an excuse saying that his mom is on the moon. He also has a younger brother named Tex who runs a Casino and in some cases is the more successful of the two. They don't see often since Blackjack travels a lot with Reno, but when they do visit home, they bunk down at Reno's little Casino in Trottingham, where they are always welcome to stay.

General – Ever since his son Reno was born, he had taken a more serious role as a father. The only thing he knew was to gamble and he wanted the best for his son. He gambles not for himself but for his son's future. Of course, he still gets carried away and looses big sometimes, and this usually leads to him running out of town avoiding his debt. And poor Reno had to always complain. “We're moving again?”
