Character Summary:

Named after the unique color of his Coat, Apricot was orphaned at a very young age, Apricot Square never really knew his parents and was often shuffled from one home to another, unable to properly bond with foster families as they are looking out for the other foster ponies to pay much attention to Apricot, that and his shyness made it hard for him to approach the other ponies of his age. Instead, Apricot kept to himself and would stay in his own little corner and read books or stare out the window, day dreaming of better times. Being rather sensitive, Apricot greatly appreciates simple gifts and easily found his love for sweet things as they give him feelings of pleasant bliss and his fondness for novels of Romance, Slices of Life and Heart-Warming Tales.

Apricot earned his cutie mark one day when he was left with nothing to do at one of the foster homes, since his foster parents were out doing some shopping and that he was the only one they had adopted, he scrounged their kitchen for some baking materials and thankfully found enough to make his all time favorite: Apricot Squares. Focused on making the treats, he didn't notice his foster parents comming into the kitchen, sniffing the air as the mix was baking in the oven. When it was ready to be eaten, the couple praised him for making an excellent dessert, 'perhaps your cutie mark would be an Apricot Square!' his foster father joked but to his surpise, Apricot noticed that when it came to baking, he had a talent for baking desserts that had anything to do with Apricots and with a flash from his behind, a nicely cut Apricot Square had imprinted itself onto his flank.

Now an Adut, Apricot works as a Waiter at a local Cafe in Fillydelphia, serving those who are interested in stopping by for a cup of tea or to try one of his famous Apricot desserts that he bakes for the Cafe. But still, Apricot is shy and quite soft spoken to new customers but regulars would always receive a more open and relaxed attitude as well as his even more famous, heart warming smile that made their troubles go away for a time.

Apricot has a smile so genuine that could warm the coldest of hearts, his sensitivity makes him more considerate of others and quickly befriend those he is brave enough to approach and holds his friends very dear and close to his heart as he grew up having no one to love save for the few foster parents who had enough time for him. Every now and then, he visits some of his past foster homes and gives his thanks with a platter of Apricot Squares.
