I mean, I guess Pegasus would be, so they can fly with their kid... but the Hippogriff is going to look the same. Although, they may have a knack for whatever type of pony parent they have. Like, if their parent is an Earth pony, they may be good at gardening, planting flowers, identifying trees, etc. I mean, it's really up to you.
