Character Summary:

Lovestone was born in Fillydelphia to two earth ponies, Honeysuckle and Stony Crag. Stony worked on the docks of the Manebrush River unloading cargo brought from the north, until he died on the job when Lovestone was just a foal. The financial assistance Honeysuckle got as a widow was never quite enough, so they moved to a small apartment where Honeysuckle raised her daughter until her health issues no longer allowed her to.

At that time Honeysuckle bought Lovestone a train ticket to Manehattan, where her aunt owned a bookstore, and hired a caretaker for herself. While there, Lovestone met and fell in love with a colt who said he loved her too. She poured her everything into him, her life's story, her hopes, fears, and dreams, until the day she found him with another filly. Though it was difficult, she said she could forgive him because he was that important to her. Sadly he didn't feel the same way and she never saw him again.

The next day she went home to her mother and cried her heart out, then made a vow: she would never desert another pony the way he'd deserted her, starting with her mother, whom she would take care of for the rest of her life. At that moment a twirling ivy vine in the shape of a heart appeared on her flank -- in flower symbolism, the ivy stands for faithfulness and friendship.

Unfortunately, Lovestone's greatest pride, the story of her cutie mark, is also what binds her. She sometimes feels chained to her mother and wishes she could move away, although she loves her dearly and doesn't blame her for her illness. But she can never leave Fillydelphia (except for short trips) since her vow to stay with her mother was the thing that brought her her cutie mark in the first place. She also feels obligated to stay faithful even to people who use her and are generally toxic. Because of this she guards herself very carefully from new relationships and takes a long time to make friends. Her guilty pleasure is romance novels (though in public she insists she only reads serious literature). She cries at happy endings, good music, and in private about her friends' problems, being very emotionally reserved in front of others. She spends her days reading, dreaming, and working her two part-time jobs.

Small note I feel I should point out:

working her two part-time jobs.

I don't believe you mentioned what she does in the application - that would probably be useful information to have before we stamp.
