Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: Her mane and tail are both a dark rose in color with a pale pink streak, her mane is short and wavy, curving around her ear and gently sweeping up the back of her neck, her bangs are short and curve over her forehead hiding most of it. The only Markings she has are some cute little freckles on the bridge of her nose that are hidden by her hair. Her tail is short and has a pale pink streak in it like her mane , the end of it lightly curls up.

Physique: Tiny with small wings, not fully capable of flying long distances yet

Cutie Mark: A sprig of Rosehips, two red and useable, and one still flowering.

Origin/Residence: She was born in Hoofington but both her parents are traveling sales ponies so she is currently residing in Ponyville apprenticing under her big cousin QuickLime (Whom is not thrilled at this in the least)

Occupation: Part time student and Apprentice

Motivation: To bring sunshine into every day either via her bright personality, or the plant she is named after via a hot cup of tea.

Likes: Roses, Mint, Hayfries, Tag! Flying, Piggy back Rides, early morning

Dislikes:Coffee (Smells yucky) Grumpy pants, Sneezing powder, The fact she can’t fly very far yet.

Character Summary: RoseHip has always been fascinated with plants even though she is a Pegasus, this is primarily due to being born to earth pony parents, one of her great grandpa’s was a Pegasus and she was the primary target for it. Her mother is a good friend to Verde who considers them family to the point of calling the little filly her Niece, therefore making the little Pegasus QuickLimes Cousin.

The story of RoseHip’s cutie mark begins when she wasn’t even born yet, Her mother PrimRoses was feeling a little weak due to this being her first time carrying a foal, Her husband ThornsNRoses was worried about her and quickly went to go see their close friend Verde since her soups usually were the thing to perk Prim right up.

Verde brought her daughter with her whom seemed to not really want to be there but was studying to be into herbs and other sorts of natural remedies, it only took one look at Prim to realize she was suffering a bit of a vitamin C Deficiancy and QuickLime recommended she drink a few cups of good strong RoseHip and Mint tea which she was kind enough to provide.

The Tea was just the trick! Perking her right up and making her healthy as a horse once again, and when the little filly was born she was named after the RoseHips that had brought Prim’s health right back , the story about how Cousin QuickLime helped her Momma with the tea made young RoseHip eager to be just as good as QuickLime with plants.

When she was still a wee thing she accompanied her cousin on a foraging expedition, trying her best to keep up with the much longer legged Pegasus, but due to her small height she easily found the plant that as her namesake! Plucking it she begged QuickLime to teach her all she knew about the plant or “Pods of sunshine” as Rose liked to call them.

QuickLime wasn’t too..eager at first but ONE stern look from her mother sat her plenty straight in that reguard, sitting down comfortably with the little filly resting on her forelegs she told her all about the plants and how they made great tea’s and other goodness , which the filly soaked up like a sponge .

After a good deal of study RoseHip knew all there was about Rosehips and was determined to use this knowledge to help Somepony, so when one of her little friends came down with a nasty cold and seemed to be a little weaker due to not being able to be in the sun RoseHip suggested the tea that her momma was given … the little foal took it and drank it up feeling better already and Rose felt a little twinge in her flank, glancing at it she saw her cutie mark!

Rose’s hunger for knowledge didn’t end there and when her Parents got ready to pack up so they could continue their business of selling hand dyed fabric from town to town she begged and pleaded to stay with her Cousin in Ponyville to be a proper apprentice! QuickLime protested but as said one look from Verde was enough to get her to agree.

RoseHip now lives in Ponyville with her Cousin QuickLime! Happy to go to school and play with the other children, then come back to Lime’s shop and learn all about plants! She is a very happy eager to please goodie Horseshoes , she can be annoying to others her age due to her eagerness to please adults and others around her.

Underneath that rosy personality is a stubborn little filly whom IS willing to rough house if it comes to it.
