An Afternoon of Ponies

ZeroHero

More practice using vectors as references. With each different pose, I'm beginning to wonder if there's a method to the madness behind these characters' designs because some stuff, such as elongated chins or hooves not exactly lining up with the "ground" (particularly the mad RD on the bottom left - I don't think the artists really cared about that it was messed up beyond repair) don't follow the "rules" I thought I had established with the RD and Twilight sketches from earlier this weekend. Eh, guess I just got to keep pushing and see if I can figure it out.

And sorry to Pinkie fans - the Pinkie sketches were the last ones I did so I was getting tired and running out of space on the paper - so her sketches didn't turn out as well (and I hate her design - that hair... >.< *shot*).

Also, I'll upload individual close-up shots for each sketch on my art thread in a bit, if you want to see them more in detail.

oh excellent, you are making some real progress with drawing the characters. My next suggestion is to now try studying the shapes that make up their bodies, so you can get how they are designed, which will go a long ways to making your own original poses. :)

true dat. Plus, I take and study general cartoon anatomy, combined with the realistic anatomy of a horse, with a few joints removed to once again, revert to cartoon anatomy. :3 Very good starting point, though. I see you're progress.
