Valentines drawing for Skye!

My Aqua and his Satchel are a pair, don'cha know?

Story goes:

Satchel has a wandering soul - he can't stay in one place for too long. He has to explore, to see new places. Aqua is perfectly okay with that - her species is naturally migratory. Only problem is - she can't accompany him whereever he goes. She can't be on land for a long amount of time, and some places he ventures aren't exactly friendly nor hospitibal towards hippocamps.

So, he wanders off for sometimes months at a time, exploring where few pony has explored, while Aqua holds down the fort at Ponyville. She's no mere housewife, but she likes living in Ponyville so she stays in the area.

Satchel always tries to come home to her for important holidays - birthdays, christmas, and of course Hearts and Hooves Day. Being a wanderer has its disadvantages however - it means he isn't always home on time. Many a holiday has gone by where Satchel was late, arrving a few days after the event had passed. It never mattered much to Aqua, as long as he arrived home safe and sound.

Aqua expected this Hearts and Hooves Day to be like many other - spent alone, wondering how many days it would take for her special somepony to return. Ready to turn in for the day, Aqua hears a thundering of hooves behind her, and turns around to see a triumphant Satchel heaving for breath. Covered in dirt, dust and who knows what else he picked up in his travels, his mane shaggy and uncut, he clutched a little daisy in his mouth with a gentle smile on his face.

As Aqua felt the smile breach across her cheeks, a bright happy blush accompanying, Satchel leaned in close placing the daisy across her nose.

"Happy Hearts and Hooves Day."
