      As someone who has been a moderator on various other sites... I can confidently say the following with the utmost confidence. Not only would I have done the same, but a petition would not change my mind in the decision. Especially if they were warned on multiple occasions. The abusing the Report button was probably the last straw, but not the reason they were banned.
