  1. Luna agreed with Blueblood that perhaps he would be best to handle as she would bring up the rear of the group. Looking around however, she would notice there where now six changelings as she began to wonder just how many where currently in Equestria. Following, Luna was honest surprised by the Civil wing of the castle, for it was one place she rarely ventured. Entering Bluebloods office, she'd lower the shield and stand in a corner, out of the way, as she would let her nephew do his job. "I believe we are all present. Please continue." Being a mare of action more then discussion, she smiled at changelings knowing that Blueblood had this under control. Luna had made great strides with her temper...though her impulsiveness still remained, and was not something needed in a negation. "General Crothor, what is this news?" As Luna would turn to face the gardens as she kept an eye on the stone prison of their former queen.
  2. Luna would look to Blueblood after receiving the first of the news. "I see. Perhaps we can have Cloudsdale send rain to the Badlands to try to sustain the plant life. I must ask however, why was this not brought to Thorax's attention. I am sure that going through the proper channels could have solved this in a much less dramatic way." Luna tapped her chin. Being much less active on the governing side of Equestria since Twilight Sparkle took over for Celestia, perhaps a request had been made and not gotten to yet. Perhaps Blueblood would be able to chime in as he was much more caught up with the events in Equestria's government. "As for this news about our guest of honor tonight, is it something that would be better received in my office?" As he tapped on Luna's shield, she'd raise an eyebrow. "I take it that thou are a fan of my spell casting?" Seeing Anwir flinch, Luna would nod to her nephew to take the General's hoof to comfort her as they expected the news.
  3. "Alright General," Luna would say, calming her voice, though her eyes would remain locked onto the changeling leader. She had to think for a moment which news would deescalate their current situation. With Crothor tapping on her magical shield...testing it, she'd respond. "Perhaps we should start with the Badlands, which is where I assume your journey originated."
  4. Candy would take notes from Goldie's words of wisdom on hiring. If the crowds kept coming like this, sooner would be better then later. In a way it was a good thing the Kandy Kaleidoscope hadn't had it's hours placed on the windows in gold leaf yet as for now she could close one day a week to catch up and do the interviews and with any luck, get two local sales clerks. Meanwhile Salty would had the now packed order over to the small alicorn princess who would accept it in her levitation. Flurry would look to her father. "Do you think we should get grandpa and grandma anything while we're hear? Aren't they coming to visit in a few weeks?" As Candy followed Goldie back to the sales floor of the shop, a newcomer would catch the attention of everypony in the shop. Beans would practically jump over the counter to have the 'honor' of waiting on her. Meanwhile Salty would put a hoof to her face in embarrassment for not only her, but Candy as well. Candy would walk over to newcomer, still wearing her saloon dress and levitate the standard bags of free candy corn to the mare and everypony that had seemed to have followed her her. "I'm Candy Corn. Welcome to our grand opening. Everything here was made the same way it was when my grandmother was a filly in Bittsburgh." Looking over to Beans who was also close to Heart Breaker, she'd clear her throat. "Beans? Coco Bean!" she'd raise her voice at the chocolate colored unicorn. "Please return to the register. You're getting quite a long line." Now that the shop keeping was done, Candy would fully get a chance to look over the mare in front of her, and her heart nearly skipped a beat as she blushed. "Sorry about that Miss. That was one of my apprentices Coco Bean. My other one, over by the taffy puller is Saltwater Taffy. Between all three of us, everything for sale to eat in this store way made by us...oh except the popping corn. That was grown by my parents back in Bittsburgh." Candy would start to blush even more as she was having thoughts enter her head that never had before. Flurry would watch all of what was going on and look to her father then back to the mare. "I think I'll just share mine with Grandpa," she'd say looking to her father and seeing the face he made. "Bye Candy Corn, Bye Salty, Bye Goldie and Beans." as she started to walk towards the door. "Dad, is she what they call an enchantress," she'd ask just loud enough that Shining, and the newcomer could hear as she walked past.
  5. As everything began happening around her, Luna would roll her eyes. "To hear your truths, if that is the only reason you are hear, I have but a few conditions. First, what is thy name. Knowing a creature's name helps when trying to carry on a conversation, for it seems you know ours. Second, All ponies replaced by your fellow drones are released, no harm done to them, and lastly," as Luna's horn continued to generate a shield over Blueblood and Anwir, "The shield remains. Are these conditions satisfactory for us to have this discussion you so desperately wish to have?"
  6. What is this, an OOC thread? When was the last time one of these was used? In honor of the Nightmare Night season soon approaching, you are invited to Canterlot to partake in festivities, trick or treating, and to interact with Nightmare Moon herself. Perhaps a few of Equestria's more well know citizens may show up as well. Bring your best costume as this Nightmare Night may just last forever. I'm hoping to have the setup posts done shortly and then the fun can be doubled. Roster Skycoaster: Princess Luna, Blizzard Blitz, Candy Corn Ice Storm: Ice Storm BlueBlood: Prince Blueblood Dusty: Nilaavin AnwirAria: General Anwir Aria
  7. As the number of changelings increased to five in the room, Luna let out a sigh. "Tis not your fault Anwir. We have grown lax after the defeat of Chrysalis. It was only a matter of time before those unreformed changelings would seek the others out...form a new..." she'd look to Blueblood as the term slipped her mind for a moment. "Hive?" Luna would notice the change in the night guard's demeanor. "Nephew, why is it as soon as we renovate the castle, somecreature decides it is the proper time to invade?" Luna was confident in her general's leadership of the guards in this situation. She'd set the changeling impersonating the poor duke down before turning to face the changeling that seemed to concern Anwir the most. "If it is a battle thou are seeking, I must warn thee," as she glared at him. "The castle gardens could use another statue or two to complement thy former queen." The princess would quickly put a magical shield over Anwir and Blueblood. "If you come in peace, you are welcome to stay and enjoy the ball. If thou art here for the reasons I suspect however... General Anwir is under my protection. You will not finish what you started those many moons ago, what be that assassination or assimilation."
  8. The longer Luna watched the duel, it would become clear to her. The green magic did not seem to match the Duke at all. Luna's eyes narrowed as she glared at him. "Enough!" Luna would exclaim. All her attention was on the so called Duke. She would levitate him, tail first. "You had us fooled for only a moment." His growl sounded more like a hiss...as least to Luna. Looking to Blueblood, she would motion for him to stand by the General. "Thorax will be hearing of this," she said to whom she assumed was the disguised Duke. "Thou have entered my home, insulted my guests, and now threaten the well being of all in attendance?" She'd walk closer to him, as he was contained within her magic aura, she'd speak so only those near her could hear. "Thy queen is stone, thy kind is reformed and now an ally of Equestria. Dose thou feel that you are completing a failed mission to try to bring by thee glory?
  9. Blizzard smiled and shook his head at the silliness they where having before taking a bite of the pie as well. He did wait till the ice cream had started to melt into the pie first. It was almost hard for him to come to terms with the fact that short while ago, the two ice mages where at each others necks. He'd quickly finish his piece of pie before getting another. He couldn't help but chuckle. "You know, instead of being the cool ponies, I guess we're the cold ponies." Noticing Ice Storm in a dipper, Blizzard would smile faintly. "Don't worry, your secret is safe with me. I'll be right back." He'd set his mug on the desk and disappear across the hall into his own quarters before returning with a yarn blanket. It's colors where well faded as it was clear at one point they had matched his coat and mane at one point. "I've had this blanket as long as I can remember. It was a gift from my grandmother when I was a foal entering school for the first time. It's like a hug from home for me. It's been everywhere from the Frozen North when I 'ventured off,' to here. The only time I've been away from it was when Fire Walker sent me to guard training and officer classes, and even then just knowing it was safe helped me sleep. Your the only other pony that knows about it...other then my parents....and they thought it was lost years ago, not that I still have it." Blizzard would take a deep sigh and chug another mug of cider. "You know....we'll leave the saki for another day, this cider and pie is just too good of combo."
  10. Something felt....off to Luna. The Duke's behavior was odd for anypony, let alone nobility. Most ponies admired the princesses. His defiant apology doubled down on the feelings of spite toward Anwir, and even on herself to an extent by disrespecting her wishes. What transpired next however put the alicorn on edge. When Blueblood challenged him to a duel. "Equestria has not changed much in 1000 year," she'd say under her breath. By the time Luna was about to say something, both Blue and the Duke had taken up stance. With the Duke looking at Anwir instead of his opponent, she would quickly act, placing a bubble around herself and the guest of honor. Now she knew there was something off with the stallion. Looking to her nephew, she'd nod. She took comfort in the fact that Blue would have sparred with Celestia countless times, and knew plenty of spells on his own.
  11. Luna would sigh listing to the mare speak, but continue dancing. "Tolerance has come a long way in a short period of time in Equestria Anwir," as she gave her a twirl carefully. "Not every pony however is such a fast learner however. Thine own subjects ran from their princess, believing that I was still Nightmare Moon. I felt that pain every day till Celestia encouraged me to attend Nightmare Night in Ponyville with Twilight Sparkle. Though that event did not begin favorably, thine subjects and I began to heal and earn a respect for each other." Dipping Anwir, she would continue. "Is it not possible that this event is meant to serve as something similar? As for the guest of honor," Luna would look to Blueblood and wink, "I may have come up with the idea just before I entered the ballroom tonight..." As the song began to near it's end, Luna would smile to Anwir. "I will end with a lesson I learned upon that first visit to Ponyville. It is not the number of friends one surrounds themself with, but the quality of said friend. I'm sure you will make many lasting friendships tonight." As the song ended, Luna would end her spell, setting Anwir back down gently. She would take a bow and then motion for Anwir to take one as well. After a few moments she would begin making her way over to her nephew and the 'Duke' "I must apologize for any inconvenience that tonight may have caused you...however if tonight is not to your standards, may I suggest the door? There are many ponies who have come here tonight to celebrate the night and honor all those in service to Equestrian." Luna would then put her wing over the young Duke. Something that would normaly be seen as an honor would send a chill down that stallion's back as she would speak just loud enough for Anwir and Blueblood to here. "You are here because of a formality of title...one that I may add has been handed down over generations, not earned. I knew thy ancestors and they would be ashamed. Apologize or make your way to the door."
  12. Luna would nod to Blueblood as she escorted Anwir to the dance floor. She would hear the comment and attempt to hide a frown. Once they reached the center of the dance floor, she'd look over to the organist and give her a nod. "Do not worry, Anwir, I will lead." As the music began to play, Luna's horn would glow ever so softly as she levitated the general just a few millimeters off the ground, but enough that her limp would not be a problem. After a few notes, it was clear just what song Luna had picked for this occasion. Grinning to her dancing partner, she whispered. "I wonder what my nephew thinks of my choice of music," as a shortened arrangement of Fugue in A Minor would play. As the music played, the alicorn would take the time to comfort the General. "Do not let their comments get to thee. For many of moons since my return, I too felt the disdain in the looks of a few subjects of Equestria. Being known as ones alter ego instead of who one truly is can take a toll on one's mental heath. The only pony whom you need to please is yourself. Do not let their feeling cause you guilt for who you are." (Link to Song: https://youtu.be/mnqzzPZ36c8?si=Zzk2bD5VR9O_KKgw&t=160)
  13. As Luna approached the ballroom, she would smile. Blueblood had done an excellent job in organizing the Full Moon Ball into a grand event. His attention to detail was something to behold as she could honestly say it could rival her sister's Grand Galloping Gala....or at least what she would have envisioned the Gala to be if she had chosen to attend the event. Large crowds where something the retired night princess avoided, preferring more direct interaction with the subjects of Equestria. Speaking of direct interaction, Blueblood seemed to have something special planned. With a deep breath and a glow of her horn, the large doors into the ballroom would open to reveal the alicorn. She was clad in a black evening dress, designed by Rarity of course, with sparkling stars embroidered into the shiny silk fabric with a deep purple sheer. Her main was done up as a much smaller tiara sat on her head. A shinny crescent moon would adorn the center of her dress. As the alicorn began to make her way up the stairs, she would smile softly and nod to everypony in the room as a sign to continue as they where. Even retired now as it where, all in the room still respected and admired her. Turning to address the gathering, Luna would smile. "Greetings everypony. I am beyond joyful to see such a grand turnout for the first Ball of the Full Moon. It is a true honor to be host to so many loyal and hard working creatures. This night truly belongs to thee. Eat, drink...responsibly of course, dance, and make new lasting friendships, for we shall wish This Night Could Last Forever!" After her address, Luna would levitate herself a glass of areion ale and begin her walk over to her nephew and their special guest. "Greetings Blueblood," she'd say with a smile. "You have done an amazing job with the implementation of this grand event. I am sure if my sister where here, she'd be quite jealous. I would have been here sooner, however I believe I caught Rarity by surprise with with my last minuet dress order. You don't think it is to much, do you?" "And General Anwir I presume?" Luna would say with a wink. "I am glad that you where able to attend tonight. Like many ponies of the night, we often miss out on the grand events Canterlot has to offer. I trust you will make yourself comfortable for it is the one night we can truly relax. Twilight and her guards will be handling our duties tonight and well into early morning." Taking a small drink she would look to both Blue and Anwir. "I believe it is customary for on of the guest of honor to offer the princess a first dance if I am not mistaken?" Luna would chuckle
  14. Passing the mug off to Ice Storm he would sit on the bed next to her. "Today didn't go as bad as I thought it would." as he took his first drink, the froth sticking to the hair on his lip. "And this is the perfect ending of today. And to think, the castle isn't coated in ice and snow from some epic ego battle like some may have thought. At least with tomorrow being a day off, we should be able to just relax and enjoy the evening. We'll just have to remember not to go too hard on the cider and saki though, I did manage to sneak in a desert order to the mess hall. I guess being in charge for the day has one perk," he'd say with a wink. "One think I've wondered is how are you able to run your group in Las Pegasus, run your casino, and then the ice cream shop, and on top of that, do missions? Between my magical research and occasional filling in for the captain, I have my plate full....that of I have some form ADHD and hyper focus when it comes to learning spells." He would chuckle. "It's funny, I can remember spells and books I read five years ago, but not the face of a pony I met the day before." A knock would come on the door as Blizzard would rise to answer it. After a few moments, he would return with a warm apple pie and vanilla ice cream in his levitation. "The best of both words of hot and cold," he'd say with a wink before setting on the table in the room. "What are the odds your company made this ice cream?" He'd give Ice a fairly large slice with a scoop of the frozen treat on top of it before doing the same for himself. "Hmmmm, Kinda looks like an iceberg on top of the pie," as he looked back to his cutie mark before laughing and taking a bite.
  15. Candy would nod to Goldie and then sigh. "I'd appreciate that. I know what to look for in a candy maker, not a sales pony. I probably should take out an add and start the interviews on Monday? I know it's an old time idea that might not work well in the city that doesn't sleep, but I think I'm going to keep the limited Sunday hours. I think I'm going to have Salty run the sales par tomorrow so I can get some more inventory made." She'd smile to Goldie. Perhaps Monday you could swing by and show me how to interview?" Candy would then make her office and levitate a bit out of her pocket and place it in a frame on her desk before hanging it on the wall behind her. "You still remember your first bits, right?" Salty would be packing little Flurry's order when she herd Shining ask about Lemon Drops. She would chuckle. "Candy wanted an old time store and believe it or not we have Lemon Drops. A whole barrel of them. Candy call it 'Bit Candy' because of how cheep it used to be I guess. I think she was talking about adding an green apple one as well once she finds a good source of green apple flavoring." Flurry would look to her father. "Think Apple Jack would have any apple flavor for making candy?" Beans was busy at the register, ringing up all the items. He was sweating and visibly nervous. How do you ask a royal for money, he though to himself. "Your...Your total is......58 bits." His voice would tremble. Flurry would look back in surprise. "I though it would be more, didn't your dad? Can we leave them a tip since they were all so nice to us?"
  16. Candy Corn would take a few deep breaths as she watched from the counter all the activity. Beans and Salty were doing great. Her eyes would dart from case to case, checking the current stock of each item in her head. She would mumble to herself before returning her attention to the royalty. "I'm glad yinz...you like it. Lots of family pride, and Bittsburgh pride for that matter as well." As River departed, Flurry would wave a hoof. "I hope our paths cross once again in the future," she'd say before looking back to her father, knowing it sounded familiar after she said it. Now with her attention on her zebra friend, she'd chuckle. "My mother gets to rule the Crystal Empire. I still have a lot of learning to do from both her, Dad, and Auntie Twilight. I think what they use is called the 'Royal Canterlot Voice,' though I won't learn that till I'm older and less likely to abuse it. I did find out though if an alicorn sticks her wings out like this and tells somepony to do it, they salute you and do it...for the most part," as she looked back to Shining once more. "I haven't tried to make a hurricane, but I think I read that if enough pegasi get together, they can make a tornado...or something along that line. I still have more to learn from Cloudsdale history." When Flurry heard Muziki's mother call her away, she nodded. "Perhaps you and your family could come visit the Crystal Empire. I'm sure a traveling show would draw a lot of Crystal Ponies. Then I could give you a grand tour?" She'd look up to her father. "What do you think mom would think?" as she waived a wing goodby. With most of the patrons having made their selections and leaving the store, Flurry and Shining almost had the run of place. Candy would nod to Salty and gesture towards the smallest alicorn. Salty would fly over to her. "What would you like to purchase today your highness?" Flurry would smile. "I want to get one of something that everyone who works here made." Salty would tap her chin. "Well, Miss Candy Corn made most of everything. I made the taffy today. Coco Bean made the chocolate drops....and more of the chocolate, but your Uncle Blue seemed to have bought most of it." Flurry Smiled. "Ok, two pounds of taffy, two pounds of chocolate, and a mixed barrel of the hard candies....oh and some of that Bittsburgh popping corn to go." Stopping for a moment she'd ask shining a question. "What should we get mom?" before returning her attention back to the store owner. "Miss Corn, what do you think a stressed out alicorn would like?" Candy Corn would smile. "BonBons are always a good idea. I have ones with pieces of candy corn in them." Flurry would nod. "Do you want anything more dad?" she'd say looking to her father. Candy would walk over to Goldie as Beans and Salty would begin to package the young princess's treats. "I never thought today would go like this. It was almost too much," she'd say wiping sweat off her brow. "Between royalty and Windy's generosity...I'm going to have a lot of work to do. In the city that doesn't sleep, I'm afraid I'm going to need one heck of a long nap." Seeing that her apprentices had things under control, she'd motion with her head for Goldie to follow her off the floor. "I need some advice. I think today proved that I need more staff....sales ponies so that I...and Salty and Beans to an extent, can focus on production...and maybe even keep more regular hours. I figure you'd know who...or how to hire. Would you mind helping me out?"
  17. He'd chuck to Ice Storm's comment about the Frozen North. "You know, other then eating canned rations for a living, my snow igloo was fairly comfortable. Believe it or not, I even had a visitor there.....once.....Glitter or something like that. Think I only ever saw her once since." He couldn't help but think of all those copies of magic books he transposed himself. Heck, his own spell book that he kept with him now started that way. "You know, in that solitude, a mind can come up with some odd spell ideas." Hearing that Ice had been having him watched because of him accessing that section of the library made him shoot Ice Storm a cold glare before he began to chuckle. "I kind of figured that's why there were all those unaccounted for hoof prints came from. You know whats funny now is that I have unrestricted access to the castles library and some of the most power spells ever written. It was defiantly a good trade off," as he forced his best evil laugh. After a few moments though it would turn into just a normal laugh as he winked to Icy. Blizzard would nod to Ice as she talked about the salutes. "I guess time is the key then." The rest of the the rounds would go as uneventful as was hoped. The stallion would do some paperwork from his desk in his quarters before transferring command to another Lt. This one from the night guard. Finishing his paperwork, he'd hang his robes up before heading to the large room that Icy had. As he entered he held the saki in his levitation, as well as a bottle of Sweet Apple Archers Hard Cider. "Don't tell Applejack I know about their 'limited run' cider." he'd chuckle as he poured them both a large mug.
  18. Candy Corn would sigh in relief as she saw Goldie return. Dealing with an order for Blue Blood was one thing, as it was a proxy order per se, but an alicorn and her equally royal father in the store was another. She looked on to Goldie’s experience. She’d blush when told she’d be a millionaire soon. “Not without your help and business prowess. That reminds me, when we close for the night, I need some advice.” When she heard Shining Armor mention Caramel Corn, she would quickly fill a bag for him and Flurry. She would levitate it and a bag of candy corn over. Beans would fill River’s bag of popcorn before watching in shock as the kirin would just walk over to the smallest alicorn. He’d make sure to hoof deliver it to River as it was an excuse to meet the princess up close for him as well before looking back to Candy and receiving a nervous glare from his boss. “It’s an honor you highness. I’m Coco Bean and this is my friend and currently customer. What can I get for you?” To say little Flurry was surprised by all the attention was nothing new, but for it to be during an unplanned trip to a new candy store in town was another. Letting her father and the older ponies do their jobs, she’d focus on her new entourage of sorts. “Hi. I’m Flurry Heart, princess of the Crystal Empire.” Flurry was surprised by the young kirin’s questions, though answered them as most you foals do, not dwelling on them. “Nope. Not a spell. I was born with both…and looking at my foal photos, they, and my horn were bigger than the average foal. I never met a Kirin before, do you all write like that? Can you change the color or font, or is it like our aura from our horns, unique to the pony.” By now, a young zebra has joined the group by the name of Muziki. “For me, not really. Being born with both helps. I guess Antie Twilight had trouble learning to fly though, and from the stories I’ve heard it was kinda funny at first.”
  19. Blizzard would look to Ice Storm with a raised eyebrow. "I'm sure you remember how our first meeting went. Just something to relax with after this stressful day is in the books....and paperwork..." As Blizzard waited for Ice Storm to prepare, His mind went through just all the different things that could go wrong. He didn't fear an attack or anything of that sort, but more policy breaches, mistakes, shits changes, or even a mispronounced name being announced to the princess. His signuture was on all the paperwork as 'Acting Captain,' and didn't need nor want to have anything extra after his patrol. At least Ice Storm was here to assist with questions that were not in Fire Walker's guides or Twilights long, long, long, notes. When Ice rejoined him after what seemed to be an eternity, though the clock had only ticked away five minuets, he'd look over her armor. He'd sigh deeply then chuckle. "You know, I feel a tad under dressed," as he tried to crack a joke. "Everypony in color coordinated armor, and then there is me. At least I can say my robes are one of a kind....for now." As he began the rounds with Ice, he'd taken the rout that would bring him past most of those on duty today. After passing the first few posts and receiving a salute and a sir, he'd return the salute and look to Ice. "How long dose it take to get used to that?" as the kept walking.
  20. Saltwater Taffy stood there in amazement as Muziki gave her all the information she would have needed....and then some. She tried to hid her expression of concern, but could only force a faint smile. "I got it," Salty would say with a wink, "But you have to be careful what information you give out, especially in a big city like Las Pegasus. If I gave that much out in Baltimare, I'd come home to an empty house," she'd say just loud enough for only Muziki to hear before she continued with Sky. She'd finish packaging the candy and label it to just the hotel and room. The staff at the Jackpot could take it from there. "OK boss, I got the register covered till Beans is done with his new friend." Candy would look over and nod before heading back on the floor to check her stock. Coco Bean would nod to the River and lead him towards the popcorn machine and away from where Ice Storm and Psmith where finishing their business. "Five Bits for the regular bag and Ten Bits for the Jumbo one," he'd say pointing to the machine as it was popping a fresh batch. "You know, sometimes between Candy's family and the Apple's of Equestria, I think they may just have a monopoly on farming. As for Ice Storm, I think she's a private pony and we've kinda been eavesdropping. I know she owns a hotel and casino called the Fire and Ice. Maybe that HQ you heard about is just her office there." Beans would say just loud enough for only River Wisp to hear. Little Flurry was flying just in her father's shadow as she took in all the sights, sounds, and smells of Las Pegasus. This was the the trip she had been looking forward to for weeks now. It's not that she wasn't the trip with her mother in a month or two, but she was a daddy's filly after all. There was so many different things to draw her attention, however when her father heard someone call his name, she'd find herself in front of a shop that said it was new but looked old. This was something new for her. From the smell of candy and fudge to the sound of music coming from the piano, she just had to stick her head in behind Shining Armor. Candy had just returned from her storeroom with another two barrels of bit candy in her levitation placing them down, she'd just about have a heart attack as she saw who Psmith was talking about. She'd turn and quickly face the Prince of the Crystal Empire. "It.....it...its an honor your highness that you'd choose to pick my little shop on our first day. Our Grand opening just go grander." To say that Candy was nervous was an understatement. She'd curtsy as she introduced herself, and stare at each member of her staff to do the same. "I'm Candy Corn. I'm the one who made all this...except the taffy, Salty..I mean Saltwater Taffy did with my recipe. What can I get for yinz? We also got my family's popping corn as well..." Flurry Heart would poke around her father as she walked into the store. Before Candy could start another round of greetings, Flurry would stop her. "We're on vacation. I'm just Flurry Heart this week. No curtsy or your highness required, right Dad?"
  21. As the unicorn finished his meal, and downed the last of his tea, he'd chuckle. "You'd be surprised. Your father wasn't a candy maker was he? I've heard rumors of a chocolatier whom seemed to...pardon my expression, paycolingt his way through most of the eastern cities and farms of Equestria. I only have a few aunts and uncles though, mostly on my father's side. My mother's side is the one that I am most interested in. That's the unicorn line it seems. It's just funny. My father would talk about his grandparents and joking about being related to some long ago pony of power or general. Mom and grandma wouldn't mutter a word. My father said they would use to...till I was born. It's strange. I felt like when I got my mark, their was a disconnect with my grandmother...." As he was about to continue, the bill would come. "I got this. If you'd cover the tip, I'd call it even," he'd say. As he walked over to pay at the register, "Oh, and add a bottle of saki to be delivered to Captain's guest quarters tonight. After all this paperwork, we're going to need it," he'd say looking back to Ice Storm before flipping up the hood on his cloak. "Perfecting timing. I believe our shift of rounds begins in 15 minuets. Let's hope it's a slow day."
  22. Candy Corn would help Ice pack the items, taking an inventory of everything in the box. She'd grab a few ingredient labels, as well as a 'handle with care,' and 'keep refrigerated' just to be safe. Looking to Ice Storm she'd smile. "Thanks. I was kinda hoping that one of your...um...agents...um I mean entourage would be willing to help deliver it. I advertised the the shop closing at 5 p.m., and wouldn't want to have to close early on today of all days. Perhaps when Goldie gets back I can send Salty or Beans, but I'd still want somepony to go with them." Looking to Psmith as he explained the notes, Candy would smile and nod before returning her own wink. "Oh, before I forget, here are your peppermint humbugs and a bag of my namesake candy corn." Levitating the candies to him, she'd dismiss herself. "I'll leave you two to finish your business," before she walked over to the register to fill in for Beans. Beans would smile at River. "Well, as you saw with your welcome bag from my boss, Candy Corn is her specialty, though she made everything in here. From the candy apples to the bit candy in these barrels. Today's best seller has been the Root Beer Barrels, and if I remember correctly, when Candy has more time, she's going to make her first batch of peanut butter cups. Oh..." the chocolate colored colt would say as he remembered, "Miss Candy's parents farm in Bittsburgh grows popping corn. we have some of that too if you want to try some?" As beans read River's comment about an HQ, he'd look to Ice Storm and then back to the young Kirin and shrug before whispering to him. "I don't know. I'm from Manehatten. I'm only here because Miss Candy Corn was assigned myself and Salty over there," as he pointed to the pale yellow pegasus helping the zebra, "as her apprentices. Salty is from Baltimare so I don't know what Miss Ice Storm would be talking about." Salty has been filling up a few bags for Muziki to be delivered once she found out the name of the hotel, when she heard the request for a travel bag. Salty tapped her chin for a few moments. "Hang on a second," as she darted past Candy and into the back storeroom, only to emerge with a burlap bag that had contained sugar before it was used to make all the candy in the shop. "This should work. Not to heavy and I can put a lot of the little candy you picked out in it so you can share," she's say with a smile before looking back to see Candy giving her a nod of permission. "So for the big stuff...what's the name of the hotel again? Or maybe the name of your parents show...I think Candy or Windy could figure it out from there?" As the young Zebra focused her attention on Sky's piano, Salty would finish with her order and let out a sigh. Looking over to Candy again, she'd see a glimmer in the unicorn mare's eye. What was Candy planning now for her and Beans...
  23. Roleplay Type: WoE Name: Coco Bean Gender: Colt Age: Young Adult Species: Unicorn Eye color: Yellow Coat: Medium Brown (Coco) Mane/Tail: Average length for a colt. Dark brown with a cream streak Physique: Stocky Residence: Las Pegasus. Upstairs of Kandy Kaleidoscope. Hometown of Manehatten Occupation: Candymaker Apprentice Cutie Mark: Chocolate pieces an abacus Unique Traits: Quick with his mind, especially at counting and doing math. Great at making milk chocolate. History: Coco Bean was born and raised in Manehatten by his mother. He never had a chance to know his father. While his mother would often work late hours, the little colt would often sneak off to nearby Steeplechase Island...sometimes during the hours he should have been in school. Quickly he would learn he had a gift for math playing the guessing games, and often winning big, and bringing home fair food for his and his mother's dinner. Though she knew what was going on, as long as he attended school, what he did afterwords she had no control over, and appreciated his helping out. Beans would be one of the last ponies in his class to gain his cutie mark. For the longest time he thought it would be linked to his favorite place, however that would not be the case. One day when his grandmother came to visit for his birthday, she would show him the process of making milk chocolate for the first time. He would be surprised that after the second batch, his flank would be glowing with pride as his cutie mark appeared. When his grandmother left, and his mother far too busy earning a living, he was enrolled in the Equestrain Apprenticeship Program to be placed with somepony who could properly show him how to use his talent to earn a living for himself. Since then, Coco Bean was assigned to work for and learn from a recent graduate of the program, Candy Corn, in Las Pegasus. Character Personality: Coco Bean is very outgoing and kind. He is quick to make friends, but can be very sarcastic those closest to him. He is great with money, numbers, and bits. He has developed a sibling rival with Saltwater Taffy to be the number one apprentice. He has developed a crush on Candy Corn even though she is a few years older then him, but hides it well.
  24. Candy Corn smiled at the little zebra's reaction before hearing Wind Dancer chime in. Her face showed a bit of shock before returning to a smile. "Tell ya what Muziki, we'll deliver it to where your staying, sound like a plan?" Salty would receive the list Psmith had produced. Her eyes went wide almost in shock as she had never seen an order so large in her young life...and the fact that it was going to royalty made it that much more daunting of a task. While Candy was letting Muziki pick her items, Salty would walk over to Candy and give her the list. "Here ya go boss," she'd say, waiting to see her boss's reaction. Candy's reaction was not of what the pegasus was expecting though. She'd close her eyes and take a deep breath. Looking around the shop, she'd take a quick mental inventory. Luckily, chocolate wasn't as big of a seller as she thought it would be. She'd circle a few of the chocolate items. "If you'll excuse me Muziki, I have a few things to attend to. Saltwater Taffy here will help you pick out your things." Salty was amazed at just how much candy the zebra filly had fit into her saddle bag. She would hover around and catch any stray candy that missed its mark. Noticing how full the zebra’s bag was getting, she would retrieve the smallest empty shipping crate from the back room. “We can use this to deliver it, and then you won’t have to lug it around the city all day. Maybe just keep enough to snack on with ya?” Candy Corn would make sure to walk over to the royal advisor still in her grand opening outfit . "We should have yinz good to go here. I just need your address and...." Candy froze for a moment. First Windy and now this. How exactly dose one charge an account and still get payed. "Um..." Looking to Ice Storm. "You'll have to excuse me. It's our first day and I've never thought we'd do business with a royal account. Oh...Here's your complementary bag of my custom candy corn." she'd giggle nervously. "Ice Storm...could you help please?" The way Candy was facing, she would notice another young pony...er Kirin to be precise. He didn't seem to want to inject himself into any conversation, however Candy would still levitate him a complementary bag of candy corn his way, writing on it with a sharpy. 'Welcome to the Kandy Kaleidoscope. I will be with you in a few moments.' Coco Bean had just finished ringing up a fairly large order of root beer barrels when he noticed the Kirin. Seeing that Candy and Salty where both busy with more pressing matters, the chocolate colored unicorn would walk over to greet the newcomer. "Welcome to the Kaleidoscope. I'm Coco Bean, but everypony around her calls me Beans. What's your name and can I help you find anything?"
  25. Candy Corn smiled at the little zebra. "Well, today is my grand opening. You picked a good day to come to Las Pegasus." Quickly in her mind Candy would run a quick rundown of everything in the store that could be purchased in the store for that amount or less. Looking at her saddle bag it was clear that she must have stopped at every store she saw along the way before a light went off in her head. Perhaps Candy saw some of her youngest sister in her or something else, but she planned to make Muziki's day even better. "I'll tell ya what, pick one thing from each case and I'll take care of the math, ok?" Candy would look up to Beans, Goldie and Ice Storm and nod. "Yep. Account is good to go. Just make sure you get a deposit slip so I put it with my paperwork tonight." As she was about to return her attention to the filly, another pony entered the store, this time a pony she was not expecting. One who seemed to talk in the say way those literature books from her schooling often did. The only thing that could pop into her mind was this pony must be ether from one of the theaters of Las Pegasus or from Canterlot. Probably Canterlot...yep. "I'll be right with yinz," Candy would say not wanting to be impolite to little filly. There where five main cases that dotted the perimeter of the store as Candy guided Muziki to the first one. Salty had watched the stallion enter and stifle a chuckle. "Don't worry boss, I got it," Saltwater Taffy would say trotting over to the newcomer. "Welcome to the Kandy Kaleidoscope. I'm Saltwater Taffy and the mare helping the little filly over there is my boss and store owner, Candy Corn. What can we...I help you with? We're stocked on lots of different sweets that she made herself. Oh we also have the famous Corn Family popping corn. Grown on her family's farm in Bittsburgh." As Candy and the little zebra neared the case closest to Sky, Windy, and Glimmer, Candy would smile. "If the little one is getting tuckered out, you can take her up to my apartment. It's the third floor. That couch up there is pretty comfy."
