  1. She cursed herself for not noticing the other pony approach her. It must have been the howling of the storm, otherwise she would have heard hoof steps. The mare seemed friendly and had a rather odd accent. She clearly wasn't from Stalliongrad. Probably a visitor or a merchant. She carefully looked her way, careful not to expose her uniform, making sure that her cloak was tight. "Yes comrade, it is beautiful." She said while tightening her cloak. "The snow has always been part of my home as well, so I admire it rather than fear it like most ponies. Thank you for your concern, but I will be careful. I've had the pleasure of working on airships before so I know my way around." A kindred spirit. It was rare to meet somepony that had the same sentiments to the snow as she did. She still couldn't quite figure what that accent this mare had. She needed to hear her speak more. She knew she heard of this accent in the streets during her patrols before but couldn't quite figure where those ponies had come from. "Pleased to meet you comrade," her head bowed slightly. "I am Argenta, and Stalliongrad is my home."
  2. Go ahead. Don't worry about the stats though. They're just something to make things more fun and interesting. If you're not familiar on how it works then you can leave them out of your app.
  3. If we're talking about joint military exercises, then I guess Stalliongrad's VSS might be involved. Though autonomous from the REA, it still falls under its command. I have a VSS Patrolmare that could probably join. This an excuse for the battalion she's in to go to Canterlot.
  4. Finally got mine posted. Pending review and approval.
  5. The storm was still battering the ship and it began to shake and shudder for a while. Some of the passengers could no longer bare the fear that the storm might win. They started talking amongst themselves, what would happen when the ship crashed. She closed her book with a loud thud and stood up, still wearing her cloak over most of her body. Her annoyance was noticed when a group of ponies settled down and looked at her. She just ignored them and went out to the deck. The Captain was shouting orders and the crew struggled to keep the airship barely stable in the air. Somehow this felt better than being stuck inside with a bunch of scardy ponies. She trotted past the railing, making sure to not let any of the crew or the captain to notice her and just stood there looking at the howling blizzard. To her this was more of a symphony than a curse and it felt good on her face.
  6. Insight was glad that Cobalt was thinking the same as him. To his surprise though, the mare Pathfinder, was an odd one. She was wounded but insisted on continuing the search while the two of them rest up and eat. Her simple minded goal and stubborn attitude reminded him of his own mother, who still worked at the Canterlot University. She would often go on hours without eating, drowned in her research and studies. Then again, he did the same thing, so he couldn't complain there. "But I think we should stick together!" Insight said in vain as Pathfinder already had trotted away. "Is she always this impatient?" He asked turning towards Cobalt.

Inventory: - Custom made lightweight armor - Shotgun and saddle holster - Saddlebag (contains a map, a compass and an emergency electronic two-way radio) Character Summary: History - Keen and her parents have been abducted by Raiders in the wasteland when they were on their way to Tenpony Tower. Their little settlement had been ransacked and destroyed by raiders constantly that it forced her father to decide to move to safer grounds. Along the way, raiders ambushed them and took off with her parents. With the help of her father who distracted the raiders, Keen managed to escape and made it on her own to Tenpony Tower. She was granted entry only upon the request of her uncle who took her in and raised her as his own. However as she came of age, she managed to secure her own rights to stay and own a shop. She had become a specialist in her trade, acquiring rare items and trinkets that existed before the war. She was also an excellent and experienced trader who could conduct almost any trade without difficulty, usually lowering prices to her advantage. Clients have sought out her special skill in trading and was often the go-between during important transactions between Ponies. Ever since then, she had always carried around a combat shotgun for protection and has rather become adept at its use. Keen is currently searching for her parents, traveling from settlement to settlement, and though she hates slavers she would occasionally visit a slaver town to gather info if her parents have indeed passed by. Cutie Mark Story - As a filly, Keen had always had an interest in trading. Her family and a few other ponies settled on the outskirts of Manehattan trying to make the best of home, starting up a small secure compound. One day, a passing pony merchant was in a heated discussion with her father, who was brokering a trade on much needed medical supplies for the compound. They couldn't agree on the trade because the selfish merchant wanted more bottlecaps as compensation for his long journey. The argument went on when she called her father saying that maybe the merchant would be grateful enough to accept some additional goods plus the bottlecaps. When her father said that they could not offer anything else, she said that she happened to found a wrecked transport wagon near the outskirts of their compound. It was an old pre-war transport wagon that Pegasi used to haul equipment from place to place. It was concealed because of the wreckage but a small entrance, which only a little filly or foal could fit in was the only way into the wagon. She came out pushing a small box that contained ammo for various weapons. Her father had realized that this was a military transport during the war. When the merchant saw the additional goods for trade, he was so happy that he immediately released all the medical supplies to them and went off with the bottlecaps and numerous boxes of ammunition. A few more instances like this happened as merchants and traders came accross their compound and she eventually earned her cutie mark. Flaws - Keen is so inquisitive in her nature that she sometimes tends to get lost searching for that elusive thing that is always in her list. This is the reason why she always keeps a compass with her at all times. She also tends to loose her temper when something doesn't go her way. Personality - Aside from her skill as a distinguished trader, Keen has been known to have a way with words. She was also the one of the ponies in town to ask for any juicy rumors. She gathers info indiscreetly via her talks with her customers and clients. She is also the type who prefers to work alone, but would rather work in a group to achieve a common goal. She isn't much for idle talk but once a topic sparks her interest, there is just no end to what she has to say.
  8. You're good. If you've read the fic and get the whole general idea of it, then there's no need for you to learn the stuff on the actual Fallout games.
  9. By the way guys, can we post links to our approved apps here? I'm still in the process of approval for mine. Hopefully by tomorrow or the next day it should get approved.
  10. Can't get enough of this song. It's been on constant repeat on my PC ever since I watched the episode. Lol.
  11. I can't help but replay the last parts of the episode when Twilight started singing. I want a full version of that song! I'm glad to be a part of this fandom. And I can't believe how fast a remix has appeared. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5E8q0h2ooWY
  12. "The pleasure is all mine." She said with a nod and a smile. "I'll be looking forward to the opening of your bookstore!" The day was at its height. Lunch was approaching and the Mayor needed to finish some leftover work before she could end her day. But first, lunch was the first thing to do before going back to work. The Mayor had a bright idea and started talking to Lore and Ice. "Lunch time is almost here. Why don't you two join me at the Cafe? My treat, think of it as a welcome lunch from me."
  13. The Mayor could not believe how she got into this predicament herself. When Granny Smith had asked if The Mayor wanted to continue to be her assistant, she had thought that maybe more sandwiches were in order. But instead, she found herself wearing a green helmet walking beside Granny Smith like a military aide. The elderly mare had put it on her the moment she said yes. At first she was hesitant but Granny Smith seemed adamant. The Mayor respected her too much to deny this request. She was embarrassed and blushed a little, but she reminded herself that every once in a while, a good leader should once in a while follow those under them. In this case, the Mayor was not acting as "The Mayor" but just another Pony who was glad to help in the Winter Wrap Up efforts. She stood there silently like a bodyguard and waited for any orders that Granny Smith would give. The other ponies around her found it odd seeing her in such a situation and could not help but giggle. The Mayor blushed more and pretended not to see them.
  14. Okay guys, I'm in the process of creating a character for this and I'll launch a topic where everyone can do their introductory stuff for their characters. How we meet or interact can be discussed down the line but let me see if I can set the tone of this story and make it a bit interesting to that of the actual fic. We can probably start from different locations or our characters meet up stage by stage, like the progression on the real FoE fanfic. Other ideas are welcome.
  15. [ PEGASUS ] Lucky Penny // Earth Pony // Female // Mare // Profile // Threads Break Down
  16. Today was the grand opening of Frozen Delights. The Mayor had promised Ice Storm to be there when it would open. She was running a bit late when she had to finish the monthly audits on the town's budget and sent the report to Canterlot. She was always punctual but that report could not wait so she hurried as fast as she could to the tent. She was surprised to see Rarity to be one of the first customers. Lore was there as well as usual giving his support for the endeavor of his dear friend, Ice. "Oh my... I'm sorry that I came late... " she said as she was still panting. "I had to do a report that had to be done today." She paused for a moment as she normalized her breathing and glanced at the menu. She figured that she could use a pick me up after all that running, and something to clear her mind after finishing those reports. "Lore, how are you and how's the bookstore? Are you opening soon?" "Hello there Rarity, fancy seeing you here. I didn't know that you and Ice were acquainted. Just goes to show you what a wonderful little town we have right here." "Oh, the Strawberry and Creme smoothie sounds delectable. I'll have one please." She said as she tossed 6 bits on the counter.
  17. Keeping to herself, Argenta made sure she wasn't noticed. She did however take notice of the captain as she went by her business moving around checking the passengers. She came across a unicorn and they began to talk. Not that she had any business in listening in to the conversation, but she kept her ears open as the two discussed about the storm soon clearing. Ah, the captain was a keen one. Being able to tell that the storm would soon dissipate impressed her and she was right. As a soldier their training in at The Stable had taught them to instinctively sense patterns and changes in the snow. Stalliongrad's surroundings were all snowland as far as the eye can see. Knowing when a snow storm begins or end is very important to survival. Settling on one corner, she sat and opened up a book to pass the time. It was her favorite book that her adoptive father had given as a present during her graduation almost 2 years ago from the academy. "Snow Patrol", a fictional novel based on true to life happenings within Stalliongrad. She had read this a hundred times but nothing was as entertaining as this. She sunk into her own world as she began to read, ignoring everypony.
  18. "Oh well..." She sighed. "I hope they're late. I had only decided to do this monthly recently. Last year we only did this 4 times a year and a lot of issues came out in those meetings. Maybe the Ponies forgot?" The Mayor had realized that her demeanor had alerted her new guest. She calmed down and began to think what to do if indeed they were the only Ponies for this month's meeting. If worse comes to worst, she had decided to solely make her only guest welcome and ask for her suggestions and possibly some input. New ponies in town always had this air of excitement so maybe she could still turn this thing around. "Hmmm,.. any suggestions?"
  19. Spring was here, but was it really? Though winter was officially over, the location of Stalliongrad meant that it always had to snow, even if the Pegasi didn't schedule any of it. When it was winter all they knew was lots of snow, when it was spring, less snow, and summer even less snow. Nevertheless, it always snowed all year round. Argenta was on her way back to Stalliongrad after delivering some important documents to the REA Headquarters at Canterlot. She was under orders to lay low and not to attract any attention to herself. She was still in her VSS Uniform though. She had put on a black cloak with a hood so the other Ponies would not single her out from the crowd. Hopefully this disguise would be adequate enough not to attract any attention. She managed to secure passage on an Airship called the Star Wing. However, their journey back was met not without difficulty. The blizzard was angrily tossing the ship in the air. She figured that this was one of the weather phenomenon that occurred in the northern reaches of Equestria. Stalliongrad had been hit by a few of these in the last few months but no serious damage occurred. Everything was just almost buried in snow, that it made the entire 9th Battalion, which she was in, to mobilize and help clear it out. She pondered if that were the case when she returned home to Stalliongrad. Ponies were starting to get nervous. Some of the passengers began to cower down and pray to Celestia, yet the hardy ones like her still moved around inside the deck, looking at the windows wondering if anything would happen. Amidst the howl of the snow, she swore that she could have heard the Captain up in the the deck shout at his crew. At least she knew, that he was brave enough to brave through the storm like this. They were in good hooves.
  20. "Nothing is more important than the concern of the Ponies in Ponyville," she said proudly. "You could have just come right in. Sure I may be doing some paperwork, but I always give time to those who wish to see me, especially if its a concern about this town." Hearing about the Unicorn's loss made the Mayor almost want to hug her but instead she had to do something to at least make the unicorn know that Ponyville is a very accommodating place. Sure, there were a few rotten apples in the marketplace but someone like her, with snowcones as a business would surely liven the place. I'm sorry about what you lost, but I'm sure a lot of Ponies can help you here. As for starting your business, I may know a few Ponies who might be able to loan you some bits to get started. You might want to talk to Filthy Rich. He's one of the most successful entrepreneurs in town. Don't let the name fool you, though it sounds intimidating, he's a good and honest businesspony at heart and a family pony at that. If you want I can setup a meeting for you two. He usually drops by the Town Hall to check the local business newsboards. I'll make sure to talk to him tomorrow.. As for a place for you to setup shop, there are a few empty tents in the marketplace that are usually open to any roving pony merchants. I'll be glad to let you use one of them for the time being, they're right in the middle of the marketplace so you'll bound to have a lot of customers." "Yes, she's somewhat of a celebrity but she likes to lay low and bury herself with her books in the library." The Mayor chuckled. "Go ahead and visit her, I'm sure if it's books you'll get her attention easily. As for books, I'm not really much of a chooser. But I mostly read fiction, and the occasional Daring-Do novel. I read books in my free time to alleviate the stress from time to time. I'm definitely looking forward to your bookstores launch! If you want I can give a speech at your opening to draw the crowd in. Oh and make sure that you place your posters at the bulletin boards around the market and Town Hall for everypony to see."
  21. "What's this one say, Insight?!" "I'm not sure..." he scratched the back of his head with his hoof. "I only recognize three symbols on it, and those three symbols represent the three different ponies, Earth, Pegasus and Unicorn. The rest, will take some time for me to decipher, I do have my research notes in my saddlebag. Perhaps if we stop and rest. It shouldn't take too long for me to figure out these other symbols. And besides, I haven't eaten in hours... aren't you guys a bit hungry?" Insight had realized that all the excitement had gotten the best of him. His stomach began to complain, and he couldn't think straight on an empty stomach. He looked at his companions to see what they thought about his idea to get some rest. He sure needed it. Aside from walking through the desert and getting lost, he had to deal with the sudden sandstorm, meeting that dragon who never showed up again and now discovering for the first time that he could cast a spell like any other normal Unicorn because of a mysterious magical field in the ruins. He wanted to rest his hooves and digest what he had learned in the past few hours. He was glad to have met two friendly faces.
  22. I can't promise about us not doing anything bad. Though violence in Fallout Equestria had to be made to push the story forward, I promise you nothing will be such so harrowing. But we'll see what we can do. Agreed, we start our own group then. Apping the actual characters seemed like a good idea and putting our own twist in the fanfic but I guess that would be a bit complicated. Anyway, here's a few ideas on how you guys can base your characters from: Start from one of the lost and numerous "Stable Tec" (Vault Tec) sanctuaries. You were bored at staying at the stable, something unfortunate happened that made you decide to leave the Stable, you were forced out of the stable, etc. You can start out as a lone wolf who survived on preying on other Ponies in the desolate and devastated Cities/Towns. Are you a raider or a slaver? You've established yourself in one of the few surviving settlements built up by other ponies as a sanctuary. (New Appleloosa, Tenpony Towers, etc). Perhaps you're with one of the Griffon Mercenary Groups that made their living on contracts to do "odd jobs". Of course you need to be a Griffon. The Pegasus Enclave is your home in the skies, you've come down to earth in search of something, or somepony. As a traveling merchant, you make your living in bottlecaps. Moving from settlement to settlement. Of course you've got a hired gun as company, otherwise those raiders would be all over you. A Zebra in Equestria would be more to your liking, unless you find a way to stay out of most ponies. It was Zebras who were the enemies of Ponies after all. The agents of Equestria and the Zebra Lands mutual destruction. Or perhaps you could be anypony you want to be, the world of Fallout Equestria is as diverse and epic as the Mane RP of Equestria. After all, this is still Equestria in the distant future, if such a thing were to happen. I'll be apping my character soon. When I feel a lot better (been sick for a couple of days, had the flu and still have a bad cold). If you guys still have any questions, especially those who haven't read the fic but know about the game, Fallout 3, feel free to reply to this topic so those of us who know can help you out with anything.
  23. Grandya was already at the "griffon's nest" with binoculars strapped to her neck. She had been on the lookout for a while making sure that they weren't noticed by the local authorities. After all, Stalliongrad, unlike other Pony cities in Equestria, looked like a militaristic state on its own. Their own military the VSS, always had patrols in every district. The populace loved them and would not hesitate to help them, especially if word got out that a Pirate group was secretly masquerading as a merchant company in the Ostrov air docks. Grandya face-taloned as Medic began to sneeze. She knew very well of the Pony's dilemma, so with feathers of her own, she made sure to keep well away from the poor soul. She glided down from her post, and landed by the captain, making sure she was far away enough from Medic. "Captain, everything seems clear for the moment." She stood in attention. "Might I suggest that the moment the crew has completed gathering supplies that we leave at once? I have a feeling that our cover might have been blown. In the last hour, I've noticed VSS patrols doubled. There were 2 patrols in the last hour and they started questioning the other airships. I fear that at some point they may start asking us questions as well."
  24. Another Pony... This day just became more interesting. As the group greeted the new Pony, Penny trotted towards the bar and ordered an Apple Martini. She had began to ponder on how fortunate she was to decide to come way early to the place. She had one more day to go before she left for Manehattan so she was glad to have met some real friends, and not the "pretend" friends like those of her business associates. She had began to wonder how this day would end. Opening time was near and the sound system's repair seemed close to completion. She had began to wonder if anything else interesting would happen.
  25. Yes, Cracker is Acorn's younger brother. And Cracker is still single but says otherwise in the tree.
