    That's one chilling dog. ^_^
  5. Cracker Nut (Click for OC Information) It was s a cold morning over the Acorn farm. Cracker Nut had just woken up and was getting ready for the day's work. It was the last harvest of the season and the Acorn Nut Family needed to get all the Acorn stored in the barns before the snow fell. Pegasus Ponies could already be seen gathering snow clouds in the distance. The first thing Cracker does is grab his mallet and his pouch of assorted nuts, which is relatively getting low on nuts. He realizes that he is already late as he notices his older brother, Acorn Seed, bucking away at few Oak trees and at the same time, yelling a few orders to the other pony helpers immediately near him. He would get swatted again for being late so he rushed out of the house and went straight to his designated portion of the field. Unlike what most Ponies would do, he rarely bucked a tree. Instead he would use his mallet to do the job. Holding it with both his front hooves, he would stand on his hind legs and take a swing at the Oak Tree. This usually proved effective since he was able to exert more power into the mallet as he swung. This in turn would make more Acorn fall to the ground. This was especially effective for the larger Oak Trees, where bucking alone would impossible for a single Pony. Usually, two or three other Ponies would simultaneously buck at the Oak in order for the Acorn to fall. But with his mallet, he could easily do the work of two Ponies. The hours pass by until midday hits. The work progresses smoothly but due to the rush of things, Cracker manages to damage his wooden mallet. Having looked at the damage, it appeared that a crack started to form at the base of the neck where the mallet was connected to the handle. From experience, he knew that it was time for replacement. It was time for a visit into town and this excited him as he hadn't been to town for at least a few weeks. Making sure that he would make the best of his business into town, he takes enough bits with him and heads off. "Lemme see..." He ponders and continues to ramble to himself. "I'm gonna need more nuts! I wonder if I can get one of those Oak Mallets as well, I'm not sure I brought enough bits. Oh I wonder if the bakery has a fresh batch of Acorn Cake!" In no time at all he reaches the center of town. At this time of the year, Trottingham turned into a quiet town since most of the tourists only came during the hot summer months. There were a few establishments open and that meant that there were few Ponies around as well. Plus, the cold had started to settle in. Ponies preferred to stay at home near their fireplaces in the cold winter months. "Hmmmm... What should I get first?" He asks himself while looking at the few open establishments. "Of course, silly me! I need a new mallet!" Cracker manages to find the local tools shop and secures a new Oakwood Mallet. The owner suggested that the only wood that could stand a beating from Oak Trees was Oakwood itself. Plus he got a good bargain out of it as he tools shop had a year end sale going on. Satisfied with his purchase, he decides to stay a while, looking around and checking the other remaining shops, if they had year end sales as well. The excitement made Cracker's urge for cracking a nuts build up. And like he always did, he took out a few assorted nuts from his pouch and cracked the heck out of them with his front hooves. With the urge quelled he continued to do a little window shopping without noticing the time passing by.
  6. Well, for a while now I've spent the holidays at work. The reason is because I'm in tech support, and its a 24/7 thing. For the past 5 years, I've been spending Christmas and New Years at work (and this is pretty much the same for any local holiday). So, I spend my holidays at work with my office mates and try to make the best out of it. You'll be surprised how many people would actually call us during Christmas Eve or New Years because their computer was busted and they needed to go online to greet their relatives in other places. We never get snow here (I'm in South East Asia) since it's a tropical country. It's actually a dream of mine to be able to experience snow at least in my lifetime. It's a dream I want to fulfill because it was my Mom's dream before she passed away, so I kinda took it upon myself to fulfill it in her stead. I live alone in this house with my brother so if I do get some free time, he's the only family member I get to share my experiences with and we share a lot of dreams and things together. As for gifts and stuff. I usually don't get gifts. I do more of the giving. I manage to get a few gifts from co-workers and that alone fills up my heart a lot. Giving in itself is a gift so I couldn't ask more. Other than that, if I do manage to spend a holiday at home (which is a rare occurrence) I'm mostly just by myself. Blogging, going online or playing a video game or two. Sometimes I read a book or do a movie marathon for the most part. The term "forever alone" seems to imply here but meh, stuff happened and I actually prefer to be this way for the time being, but that doesn't really bother me. So yeah... in short, its either I spend the holiday alone, or with the company of my co-workers when I do have work scheduled that day.
  7. Hello! Welcome to Canterlot! If you'd like to interact with us more please join us in the Chatroom. There are always ponies in there 24/7.
  8. I like your concept of Jousting here. Very interesting. It's giving me ideas for creating a new OC.
  9. Hi and welcome Xeiros! I agree with you there about the shows. Though I'm an 80's kid, we share the same feelings about today's current shows. I'm glad we came across MLP:FiM. Hope to see more of you around the forums, in RPs and do drop by the chat, there are always Ponies there talking about something 24/7. ^^
  10. Same here. It's positioned weirdly off to the right. Windows 7 Ultimate Firefox 8.0 Oddly enough... it works perfectly fine on Internet Explorer 9.
  11. As long as you get your message through it doesn't really matter. Besides, I'm guilty of doing that too in some of my apps.
  12. This is a wonderful picture, how'd you manage to blur some of the background?
  13. Hello, thought I'd do a little blog hopping. So you do fanfics? I'm looking forward to anything you might have up your hoof. I also like your OC application. I hope one of my OCs can get to RP with yours soon. ^_^
  14. I was giving some thought for a while if I would start up a blog here. Finally decided to give in since I liked the community a lot. I tend to think a lot so I needed somewhere to pour it all out and I figured this would be the best place for it. Anyway, most of you already know that I'm in South East Asia (GMT +8). I've seen a few local Brony communities but they're a bit disorganized. The local one that I joined with on Facebook seems to be dominated by "Weeaboos". They're only into MLP:FiM because its a craze and everyone is digging it. I tried interacting with them but it seems they have their own "odd" standards about FiM. For a while, I tried to be optimistic about it and just went along but it was not what I have hoped for. I'm still with the group but I'm more of a lurker there now. It's a Sunday morning, 1st day off work and I'm loving every moment of it. Will be going to church after breakfast and maybe drop by the mall to do some window shopping. And some good news! My schedule has changed! So starting next week I'm no longer a night Pony, but a morning Pony. I'm finally off from the night shift! YAY! Been stuck in the night shift for 6 months, so this is a cause for celebration! *Finishes his Coffee* As a final note, I'm really happy I found this community. I thought I'd never find another community like this in my lifetime ever since the old forums (an Anime forum) that I was a regular in closed down. I was active there for many many years and we had local meetups and events. I just hope I get to meet or see some of the Ponies here in person and just have a good, fun and relaxing time.
  15. Thank you very much! I just added his picture that I made from the Pony Generator.
  16. Why work when you can play? Because you can't play if you don't work. Lol what?

  17. Will be looking forward to RP with you soon once you get an application approved.
  18. Oh my where do I start. I'll just do a list on what I remember in no particular order: - Astro Boy - Kimba the White Lion - Speed Racer - Carebears - MLP (G1 & G2 prolly) - Transformers - Centurions - He-Man - Voltron (Lions and Vehicles) - Garfield and Friends - And more that I can't seem to remember.
  19. You'll get a stamp of assessment first before it's approved, then its going to be moved to the accepted apps section. When the staff has a final look at it and sees nothing wrong, you'll get a seal of approval.
  20. I'm glad your sister decided to watch it. Hopefully, she'll figure out sooner or later on her own that it's worth watching. I sort of had a similar experience there. I have this younger brother who would jump into any "fandom" that I usually jumped in. In the past, I got into Anime/Manga and he jumped along with me. When I started to learn the guitar because I wanted to be in a band, he jumped right along me. Same goes for my video gaming passion, he was always there jumping along having fun. Then MLP:FiM came. Took me a while to get converted and when I became a brony, I thought that my brother would like this as much as I did. It turns out that he kinda was, "What the !()$ is this?" I was truly surprised but it didn't bother me until I realized that he was no longer the younger brother who used to fall into these kinds of things like I did. (I'm 8 years older than him btw). For a while he kinda lost his "respect" for me because of a "girly show". I guess his new hobby of Photography (with those blasted DSLRs) has thrown everything out the window so he doesn't care much about Ponies or anything else at the moment. Slowly, he just "dealt with it" with me being a brony and everything, but I never pushed for him to like it. But its the subtle things that peaks his interests. For example, the cool YAY Fluttershy ringtone on my phone that he liked and asked for. The Pony silhouette wallpapers on my laptop which he asked to copy and the Techno/Electronic Remixes of the MLP songs that he thought was cool. But even with all that, he's still not digging into the whole MLP:FiM, and that's still cool to me. He is what he is and I love him for that. And did I mention that I made a "20% cooler" themed shirt (with subtle rainbow dash designs) and he liked it?
  21. Moving at the speed of sight...

  22. Wew more new ponies! Hope we can get to RP with you as soon as you get an application approved.
