I was reminding someone it's their turn in that thread. Surprised I haven't copied anything since last night.

Broken horns are definitely allowed, just check out my jousting OC. In Lanceguard's case, the broken horn weakened her magic. She has a fake one in place of the broken-off section, but it's only cosmetic. As for whether or not they grow back, the mod answer was basically "yes, but it takes many years"

My initial thought was that the whole "brony" thing was just a short-lived meme that would die out by the end of the year. Since my friend and I were previously fans of Powerpuff Girls, getting me to watch MLP was less a matter of convincing me it's not too girly, and more a matter of prying me off of whatever game I was playing at the time XD; (the first ep he got me to watch was the one with Zecora, in case you were wondering)

-Begin OOC- This is a continuation of "The Art of Snow-War". It didn't get very far at all, and is now being continued in this forum due to expectations the event forum will end. And so sorry for taking so long to make this thread, guys! If any of you from the previous thread do not wish to continue, just let me know. There is currently 1 open space on the red team. (Though I don't have anything against somepony joining as an "interference" player to mess with the teams, if it makes the RP more fun) -End of OOC- Lady Lanceguard waited a moment for the rest of the blue team to arrive, then spoke, "Tactics, everypony! Seeing as there are six of us, and two primary objectives- defend our fort, and pummel the enemy with snowballs- we should split into groups of three. The defense group shall stay at the fort- Two of you will face the front, and the third will take on a support and lookout role. The offense group shall maintain a tight triangular formation at all times. The pony in the rear of this formation must be our best catcher. This will ensure that if one of our leading attackers goes down, he or she can be brought immediately back into action. Finally, one thing that applies to both groups- if your opponents are spread out, focus on one at a time so you need not worry about them outflanking you. Have you any questions?" Lanceguard took a quick look around at the group, and was suddenly concerned about her usual position as one of the attackers. "Now... since it looks like this snowball fight will primarily be an air battle, I feel I would only hinder our attacking forces. I will remain at our fort as one of the defenders, but do not expect me to have a passive role. I am quite capable of flinging snowballs at long range." -OOC again- Useful info section. Rules summary: 1. A team wins when all of the opponents are down, or they occupy the enemy base for 10 seconds with nobody else in it. 2. Three hits and you're down. HIts to the hooves(/claws/paws) or tail do not count. 3. To bring a downed teammate back in, stand over them and catch an enemy's snowball. 4. Pegasi (and griffons) may not use weather control or fly above tree height. I'm happy to hear this as well! I always try to read the apps for characters I'm RPing with, but some of them go on and on and on and on and... you get the idea. Just tell me who the guy is already! XP That, and it's kind of intimidating to make a new character when it looks like everyone's supposed to write a book. Nice to know I don't need a massive backstory.

Rappatat listened to Candy explain some of the must-see spots in the town, remembering some of her friends' earlier descriptions of the place. She smiled and tapped her hoof on the floor, ["Maybe we can go to Sugarcube Corner for dessert"]. The mare had to hold back a snicker when Krashkop mentioned his experiences with the statue. ["You'd be surprised how many pegasi hit mylighthouse"], she tapped, hitting the ground harder for emphasis on "lighthouse". Rappatat looked toward Colton, giving a smile and a nod to signal she was ready. (OOC: Sorry for the delay)

Drama couch: Yes. Yes. That would be an awesome emote. That huge bunch of them, though? Maybe only a handful. Remember, emotes should be limited to things people would actually have some need to use, otherwise you're just clogging up the emote list. Just take a look at the emotes you can use in Deviant Art comments and such. When the heck does anyone ever use 90% of those?

Lanceguard smiled as more ponies joined the group, but had to roll her eyes at the griffon's boasting. "Please, miss, save the theatrics for when you actually have some advantage. I've studied history and I know how battles are won." Just then, 3 more pegasi joined the mix. The gray one introduced himself and started to mention weather control, but Lanceguard had to restate the rule for him- "I admire your eagerness, but you have to resort to your hooves for this game. Weather control would be unfair for those on the ground." A couple more pegasi entered the mix, both looking to be on the blue team. Lanceguard glanced toward the remaining blue cloaks, then looked back at the new participants. She focused on the last to land, a yellow-ochre colt. "Sorry sir, but the blue team is full. You will need to join the red side, or ask somepony here if they'd like to switch." With the current group addressed, Lanceguard looked around and gave her last call. "To all still hoping to join the battle, there are two spaces remaining on the red team!" She glanced back to the teams and then pointed her hoof toward each base. "We shall now head to our bases. Once there, commanders have one minute to issue orders, and then we will begin. Onward!" Lanceguard hopped down from the snow drift, nodding her head at the blue team as she galloped toward the base. Once there, she quickly surveyed her surroundings, mentally noting strategic points to hold while waiting for her team.

I tend to use "or something" and "really" phrases way too much, IRL and online. Online only, I seem to use "lol" and "hehe" almost like punctuation. I really need to stop that, or at least find something that adequately expresses "I got your message but don't really have anything to say on the matter."

Rappatat considered Candy's suggestion for a moment, smiling as the others agreed. She nodded her head and tapped her hooves on the table to form a message, ["A walk would help wake me up."]. With that, she backed her chair away from the table and hopped down, taking a moment to stretch her legs and give her head another shake. ["Where to?"] she tapped, and looked toward each guest for a reply. Rappatat wasn't very familiar with the area, and the few places she'd heard her friends talk about were too fuzzy in her mind for her to remember the landmarks at the moment.

I use adblock, but could probably tone my settings down a bit. If ads were limited to just simple ones that didn't jump out at me, take over my screen, play sudden noises, or any of that nonsense, I would be fine leaving them there. But they do. Any product or service that advertises itself by such aggravating measures has basically just ensured that they will never receive money from me. Thus, blocking the ad just cuts out the middle step and eliminates annoyance.

Lanceguard smirked as a griffon arrived to challenge her. "Well, you certainly have ambition. I hope you realize it takes more than that to make a good commander, howev-" She was cut off by a purple colt skidding into the scene. "Ready to lose? My, sir, you should've said that to a mirror" she replied with a grin. She turned her head back toward the crowds, only to catch a small pegasus filly right at her side, asking to join. "Oh, of course you may, this is open to everypony." She then leaned down to the filly and whispered, "I would watch the griffon, though, she seems rather rough." Another pegasus, a light brown stallion, approached and seemed to mumble an agreement with what Lanceguard just said, then ask to join her side. "The more, the merrier, sir." While another pegasus filly dropped in, Lanceguard spoke to the group. "Well, since the teams are starting to fill out, I may as well go over the rules now. Firstly, the goal- either take out all members of the opposing team, or conquer their fort. A fort is conquered when it is occupied by members of the opposing team only, and they must hold it for at least ten seconds. Three hits and an opponent is out. Hits to the tail or hooves do not count. To bring a defeated teammate back in, you must stand over them and successfully catch an opponent's snowball." She paused for a moment to let all of that sink in, then resumed "Now, since we have a lot of pegasi here, there has to be a limit to keep things fair for those of us on the ground. No weather control, and no flying above the treetops where nopony can hit you." She eyed the red team leader. "That applies to you as well." Lanceguard glanced out at the crowd again, then back to the snowball fighting teams. "We'll wait another minute or two for more players, then head to the forts, devise our strategies, and start. Any questions?" (OOC: if nobody else joins the red team to even things out, just RP a couple nondescript ponies that a late-joiner can take over as needed.)

(ITT: Everypony takes snowball fights way too seriously. Have fun being ridiculous with it.) Lady Lanceguard paid off the group of snow shovelers and sent them on their way, then gazed back over her new battlefield. A river formed the north boundary of the zone, and a small stream branching off from it partly divided the area into east and west sides. A small bridge crossed over this stream, and would serve as an excellent bottleneck for the battle to come. In the northeast and northwest corners of the map stood two impressive snow forts, topped with a blue and red flag, respectively. Two paths were cleared between the forts- A northern path crossed over the bridge, providing quick access but little cover, and a southern path went around the stream and through a series of snow drifts, a safe but slow approach. Ready-made snowballs were placed behind any potential barrier- fallen logs, snowponies, and even the occasional large rock. Her favorite winter event was about to unfold: For the rest of the day, teams of ponies would go against each other in what she planned to be the most organized snowball fight of the year. Lanceguard approached a tall snowdrift near the center of the battlefield. She laid 5 simple red cloaks on the west side and 5 blue ones on the east. Lanceguard herself wore a sixth blue cloak, one adorned with gold trim, as she climbed to the top of the snow drift to issue her challenge. A red cloak with similar trim was left beside the others, for that team's leader. "Fillies and gentlecolts! The lines have been drawn and the battlefield set! Who among you are prepared for battle, to duel in the snow? Have you a score to settle? A bet to win? Or do you simply need to prove yourself a champion or a leader? Organize your teams and we may begin!"
